So, I've recently started watching Lain, and I'm about halfway through the series (episode 8) now. I'd always heard that it was a good but very weird series, and I like it so far. Have any of you guys ever watched Lain, and if so, what did you think of it?

Lain is trippy

I did enjoy it though... the first episodes are fascinating, and I love the concept.
The animation is quite beautiful also, a very nice look.

So despite its confusing, highly unusual moments and such, it's worthy of seeing, imo >_>

Yeah, I just finished it and I did like it a lot even though it was very weird. I'm not sure how I felt about the ending though--I kind of wanted Arisu to remember her.

I own Lain on DVD, only my DVD player won't read the discs :|
I watched the first 5 or so episodes at a friend's house, i've yet to watch them all...
I did enjoy the story, as twisted as it is.... I'm told it only gets weirder. How, I can't even comprehend.

I'll finish it off someday :P

Named, I have the first.. 3? volumes if you don't get around to seeing more of it before you get here.

(they're not actually -mine-.. my brother bought them. He lets me borrow his DVDs, since I always give them back unharmed :))

I should think so ^^

Doesn't matter, I can always bring some of the anime :P
I want to give you Jin-Roh, anyway :P

It is a Region 4, but you might have a DVD player that reads it... If not, there's always the computer ^^

hmm maybe th reason the DVD player doesnt read it is because its a pirated disc...either that or there is something wrong with the DVD player.
WHere did you buy the disc?

well im just assuming that its pirated since mine was...and it didnt work in the DVD player...

JB Hi Fi, a licensed and widespread electronics store. :D
It's an offical 'Madman' release, the largest distributor of anime in Australia. Most certainly not pirated ^^ (and it works in a friend's DVD player)
It's just a format that's not compatible with my particular player <shrugs>

If i'm ever in the area, of course! Only if I could stay at your house, i'm not paying for accommodation!
I'm glad we share Region with Mexico! Hooray for Region 4s!!!

Each region corresponds to a different country (or set/grouping of certain countries). Regions 4 play in certain areas, Region 1s play in the US (I think :?), etc. That's all it is...
