First off, yes Its Aired on Tusedays, and useually subbed by Thursday. But I got Bleach 21 yesterday (Wends) so saying it comes out on Thrus is not allways true.

I've just recently started watching Bleach too, I'm watching the anime instead of reading the manga because until I buy an external HDD I won't really be comfortable with the amount of disc space I have left.

Anyway, I'm up to Episode 64 I think, The Soul Society Arc is finished moving onto the Bount Arc fillers.

I havent really seen this anime, only a spare episode here and there on [AS], which I couldnt really follow (something about him passing out after the girl touches him and him being a ghost?)...

Is it worth getting into? I like anime's like Naruto, Full Metal (Panic and Alchemist), Saiyuki, Serial Experiments LAIN - etc etc etc... would this be a good one to look into?

(And forgive me if this is the wrong place to put this. Just appeared to be a discussion thread) ^^

last ep was just pure orgasm.

watch it!! dl first ep and start watching. do not skip fillers.
watch until you catch up. it is better than naruto now, animation is awesome (not always of course but it never suck. just lower quality for slower episodes)

Naruto fillers are utterly crap and dont have any effect on the story. The bleach fillers where nicely constructed and have been melded into the overall story, not skipped over. Though dont take it all in mind when gauging strengths and abilities, it is still fun and has some character development and introduces new faces that leave a lasting impression...

Well the end of the arc saving Rukia is right before the fillers. So you are pretty much caught up in terms of power/abilities. Minus a few new developments in the last handful of episodes.

i hav been thinkin, isn't the power of these characters unrealistic? observe at my following formula:

Ichigo=Byakya
Ichigo (less than) most bounty
Ichigo (less than) most arrancar and vizard
Byakya (less than) bounty arrancar and vizard

aren't the shinigami captains really powerful?

My best advice for everyone that is catching up on episodes. Use youtube to watch the old episodes. I hate downloading old ones. If I need to refresh I use Youtube.

No, your formula is just incorrect.

Ichigo wasn't as strong at Byakuya during there fight. He caught him off guard with his bankai speed a few times, however Byakuya wasn't even using his abilities to the greatest (he wasn't using his hands to control his shikai(?) ability; which greatly increased it's speed). And it was Ichigos holllow breaking out that really brought Byakuya down to a leave where Ichigo could defeat him in the end.

When he came back to SS (start of Bountu arc) he was weak from his bankai wearing him down. He couldn't even use his bankai when he first came back.

Arrancar/Vizards are likely as strong and stronger than Captains. Hopefully we get to see some captains double team them :D

not sure about yammy.
he seems to be an espada (he stands with few guys in op)

but when he attacked, ichigo was like "whatever"
plus he got his butt kicked in few punches by yorouichi.
additionally, ulq pwned him with one punch.

he is not captain level.

yammy is definently captain lv.remembe he's in espada according to the new Op,well i would figure all those arrancar where espda since girmjow,yammy and ulqriuua where in the line up.also after ichigo froze up yammy with his barhands manhandled ichigo.also remember he has a release and ichigo at his current state imo at best with ichigo's hollow taking would be on par with him.but ichigo but himself wouldn't be strong enough to defeat him.

i think that all of the espalda from 1-10 are all captain and above lv. the latest episode was surprising. almost forgot that their power was reduced. i almost went insane! Hiysuyaga being defeated so easily... Never!

yammy can be espada

but we haven't seen anything from him showwing yammy as being captain level.

it was said that ichigo's bankai only increases kurosaki's speed. but ichigo blocked the punch like it was nothing.
furthermore, yorouichi completely owned yammy and kisuke deflected that supreme beam attack. with ease

i will not believe that his is captain level until we see something special from him.

Mayuri has more experience than Hitsugaya, and a bankai that shoots out an insane poison that infects anyone, a body that cant be easily destroyed, and enough dirty tricks to make Rick Flair wince...Dont call any captain weak...

One thing to consider is that:

(a) Yammy wasn't released.
(b) He didn't really go all out against Ichigo.. so having a few punches blocked doesn't mean much.
(c) He did get owned by Yorouchi and Kisuke... but you also have to consider they those two shouldn't be limited like the captains/vc were since they seem to have no connection to being controlled by soul society anymore.

If he released he could have very well been able to go toe to toe with them.

(Although I doubt it since I bet any money they'll end up being stronger than the other captains).

If Yami releases, he is then far beyond normal captain or weak captain.
Yami is an arrancar, who was travelling with another arrancar who seemed pretty powerful so i dont think he is that weak when he releases.

Even a very powerful captain can be matched by two beings at captain lvl. Remember the strongest person doesnt always win a fight...
