if any anime could be made into a live action movie, which one would it be. i think rurouni kenshin would make a good live action movie. i just think it would be so easily adapted into live action
hmm i think the best one would be.....Cowboy Bebop

It's a movie with real actors.. Anyway..
I somewhere heard that they're making an 'Astroboy' movie..
And I also heard that theyre going to make a DBZ one ( I even saw screenshots >_< )

But they already have done Dragon Ball live action movies and, hey... they haven't been so good at all.... DBZ has far more special efects than DG doesn't it????? I gues it wouldn't be possible to make it look real...
but well.. with nowadays technology... but then again.....
I think Ruroni Kenshin would do... yep... its easier. But, well.. there was this live action movie abour Video Girl Ai which was pretty bad... so....
well... I dunno... I'll go for Ruroni Kenshin...
DB will suck whether its anime or live action....
the bebop idea would be ace.
a Berserk live action would be ace as well and it wont require futuristic exaggeration as well...
lets see other maybes....
dont know really, hard to compete witht he originals....
i've had bad experiences with live action of a cartoon/anime...
Like spawn... they killed an AWESOME one witha that sucky ass live action movie...

i don't think any anime would make an amazing live action moive.but kenshin could be well done.as long as it was all japanese actors.they could pull it off.cowboy bebop would be cool.i doubt a anime-live action movie would be acceptable..

I definately approve the Cowboy Bebop idea. genius!! Particularly since it's so realistic anyway... (of course the "future" elements aren't, but in film that's easy to create)
I'm inclined to say that Kenshin could make a decent movie, but it's based on history so there have already been quite a few movies like that. There'd be nothing really special about a RK film, except Kenshin himself, who resembles other figures anyway :P
I would like to see Kareshi Kanjou no Jijyou (KareKano) as a film. It's so realistic and funny and sweet, I think it'd be a fun movie in any medium :]
(as long as they had good writers!!)
I've only seen the Crying Freeman live action... That was actually pretty good...but mainly because they did a good job with the casting....
Haven't seen it...but I'm told the Sailor Moon live acion is hilarious.... due to extremely bad acting
I'd like to see a chobits one personally.... although I doubt it could be done...no one's cute enough to play Chi ^.^
Millenium Actress can be made easily into a live action movie...and if they got good actors, it might not be a bad movie...although it was kinda confusing in the anime

they've been talking about making this for three years now (it aint gonna happen) and where did you see screen shots ?
cowboy bebop would make a cool movie. and the reason i think kenshin would make a good movie is bcause:
1. it's historicaly accurate
2. the fighting in it is believeable.
kenshin can dodge bullets from handgun but not a gattling gun and he can't blow up the earth by twitching his eye*dbz*. the special effects wouldn't have to be so exagerated

I know it's -almost- a fake, but I still want to believe it's real, You can get info at www.dbzsc.com and I really can't remember where, but I once saw a Piccoro pic >_<

Lol, Bulma's better :)
Oh, and by the way, when they translated DBZ to spanish they changed Chi chi's name because in Spanish " Chi Chi " means " Tits "
Lol :P It's really funny isn't it? :D

DJ Jaime

Lol, that'd be quite... interesting :P
Anyway, sorry If I sounded rude, but " Leche " is really a lame name, so It wouldn't fit any character -.-

There's an Evangelion Live Action Movie on the making... we'll see if it doesn't get americanized (like is proably going to be...) :x It's suppouse to be release in 2006... they alredy gave it a budget of 100 million dollars!!
I saw Cutie Honey L-A Movie, and it was really.... interesting you could say, I liked it, but it has a certain weirdness to it
I strongly agree with AD, I would love to see KareKano as a live action... but the thing is that most of the funny things they have in that series are due to animation... you know funny faces and draws... but it still would be interesting to see :D since it's one of my favorite series!

what I mean, isthat if it's live action, it gets an older rating, so they'll think "if it'll already be R, well, **** it, let's do a porno! no kid would get to watch it!".
but whatever.

Kareshi Kanjou no Jijyou (KareKano)
What is it?
I've already seen an anime made into a live action :P
'Cutie Honey'
Hahaha... Good for a laugh :P
I have a higher tolerance for crappy movies if they're Japanese
I really don't want to see any of my favourite anime as live actions :|
I prefer anime to movies, so why take a product from my favoured type and recreate it in one that isn't?
I can think of many anime that strictly live action viewers would enjoy (FMA, for example), but I don't want to see them made, so by the off chance a desperate producer is browsing our humble forum, I will not list any more

KareKano (in English, "His and Her Circumstances") is a shoujo anime... a funny, unusual love story >_> It's got a few very hilarious moments. I find it very realistic, because most of the funny moments are all those awkward social interactions and blunders that real people would make
http://www.izumi.hpg.ig.com.br/walls/karekano.jpg
The main characters are Miyazawa Yukino (the girl) and Arima Soichiro (the boy pictured here). The series begins by setting up (and following) their relationship, which goes from hate to love.
Eventually, it goes into other characters and their interactions also.
See, humor:

And for those curious, this is from an artbook (most likely based off the original Manga series):

umm...
I really love this show :] It's confusing at first, because there's a LOT of subtitles to read (Miyazawa shares many of her inner thoughts with us, often while she speaks). But I really got into it. I just wish I could've seen the whole thing.. -sigh- SOMEDAY...

i'd see it :P 1
but i think love hina wuld make a great L-A movie as a romantic comedy. it would have t have some serious work done becaus anime humor just doesn't work in real life.

Then it wouldn't be a great live action :P That's my point- anime humour does not work in real life, the transfer would be terrible to live actions >_>
Love Hina would lose all the effects that make it.... Love Hina :P
omfg, DBZ anime was bad.. can you imagine if they wasted their money on a dbz live action...
one role i approve
Jessica Alba = the hot

Another anime which you should watch someday.
On the AnimeNfo.com forums, I saw some guy suggesting they should do a non-serious Elfen Lied series. I was like "OMFG, are you crazy?!" The seriousness is part of what makes Elfen Lied so great. (It would, in fact, perhaps, be even better if they removed some of the non-seriousness from it.)
The same would be true for "live action anime". It wouldn't be the same series.

now that i think about it, love hina would lose all its coolness if it was made into live action.

trigun. yep. it would be good
hellsing :P
if done by japs and without spending most money on special effects (most money for profesional actors, costumes. many special effects would ruin it completly. i hate special effects. they are so annoying [matrix 3, Riddick). it could be awsome

Imo, there's no way that Hellsing could be made into an anime without special effects... The visual look of the anime is far too artistic and flashy (and well, just plain -funky-) to be made into a no frills, no special effects film. It would NOT be the same series title at all.
Can you imagine the demons just appearing and leaving, and with no distortion of the settings or any of the lighting effects and blood effects that Hellsing had? Even some of Alucard's appearances COULD NOT happen in the same way without "special effects" in real life.
It's silly to not like special effects... they exist in practically every movie that's been made within the last decade or two. Well, as far as -major releases- go. They're not all goofy and overdone, some of them are very subtle and do a lot to enhance an otherwise dull (visually) film.

oooh I reckon making a live action verison of initial D would be incredible. No need for special effects, just drivers who are very skilled at street racing and there are plent yof those in japan.
mmmTexhnolyze would be another one, very dark and gritty with fair bits of action, It'd have the feel of Avalon and GITS
