Wow, I'm surprised that no one has made a topic for this great anime.

This anime called, Mai HiME (aka My HiME) is about an epic struggle between HiMEs and Orphans. HiMEs are people who possess a special ability of seeing these monsters called Orphans. So far, there are 8 episodes out so far and it is projected to end at 26 episodes (somesay 13 but I'm goign with 26).

Animation: A top-notch quality. One of the best I've seen. The characters and Childs (or maybe Children?) are very detailed.

Sound: I can't really tell so far. But, I do like the Intro and the Outro songs.

Story: Too early to tell but the episodes move fast.

Enjoyment: Very fast paced and enjoyable.

This series has good potential to become a better anime. I love every aspect of it and hopefully pick up the downsides of the anime. To download, visit www.animesuki.com and look for "My HiME"

I've actually seen this :o I saw it at JAFWA on Saturday, it was interesting :P

I thought it was going to be a mecha anime, but it was an original concept! :o (not that mecha animes can't be original)

ok i downloaded 13 eps just because i saw this thread and need something new to watch, just saw 4 this one was friggin hilarious i had to pause it because i was laughing so hard, then when i re-started it the main character was laughing hard too haha which got me going again haha.

**EDIT**only the first 2 episodes took a "long" time to download.. the first two took like 3 hours each but i managed to get episodes 3-13 in under 3 hours for the bunch.**end EDIT**

I've seen all 13 episodes released and I must say since ep 2 this has become one my top 5 anime!! :D :D I really really like it... specially the soundtrack... has a techno feeling to it wich is great :wink: I must say that I think is in episode 13 when you see more story development... can't wait for episode 14~!~

the plot was starting to piss me off around 6 or so...i mean really enough with the friggin secrecy and tell us what the deal is. i saw all 13 and for some reason i'm gonna keep watching.

When i first saw it being available, I thought it was something silly about dancing, cos thats what Mai means. But my sis downloaded and I watched it and boom, caught me like a fly on fly paper. Top stuff recomment it to everyone hurry!

Yukino's Child was somewhat weird. Too reminiscent of hentai.....I wont go there.

But the rest of it is rivetting, need more NOW!

DAMMIT! I just love this anime.

Kinda seems like watching sailor moon, but in a better form.

The girls in this anime are hot, maybe i should create a "hottest girl in mai hime" topic but it would probably be locked anyway :D

Ill just explain here:

Hottest girl - Natsuki (Ive never seen any anime girl hotter than her) [Oh, and that lil girl with purple hair that always sits on that wheelchair is sooo cute]
Best Hime - Shizuru and Nao (Nao is like orochimaru but in a girl gender)

I dont know why so much people like mai though, i dont like her at all =/

Mai's beginning to annoy me, she's so wishy washy.

And I agree with LuCas, Shizuru is damned cool.

Have you noticed how downhill Natsuki became once Mai and the rest showed, it's like she's hardly able to keep up with them anymore.... or is that just me???

I felt sorry for poor Yukino, she's so dependent!

It does have a Sailor moon sort of feel, except there's no one-shot-at-the-enemy-and -let-Sailor-Moon-deal-with-it sort of thing which is a relief.

Oh, and the little girl in the wheelchair is Mashiro

heh, natsuki does kinda suck when the other HiME's showed.

Mashiro is sooo cute >< that guy in the black DID say something about mashiro (the one on the wheelchair) did something that she did make herself a child though, so im guessing she was older before. (he said that somewhere in ep 22 or 23)

My hottest girl used to be natsuki, but i kept on looking at more episodes and now its Mashiro -.- who cares if shes a lil kid, shes just too cute.

Wow.. i just watched episode 24 and im... pretty much crying.

It was like the most SADDEST anime ive EVER seen.

Now i know why Mai wanted Tate to go away since the beginning, this episode explains it if you have a sense of humor.

Nothing like naruto or anything else have gotten me sad THIS much, fuck man.. i felt like doing something, and i felt like i was in the anime as well, i wanted to do something but i realised this is just an anime.

Damn, tears went down my eye when tate was dieing. Just look at mai's face and how bad she wanted to tell him about how she loved him. I never read the manga, but my guess is, that she was telling him how much she loved him, and that she didnt want him to come near her because she knew something bad will happen

It was a very sad episode, but it wasnt anywhere near as moving as the episode in ghost in the shell stand alon complex when the tachikoma went to save batou and they all got destroyed.
For some reason, that ep had me crying harder than I ever thought possible. Even listening to the music from that scene sometimes gets to me. Shedding tears over the destruction of machines as opposed to a human, there's something wrong with me.

I got my hands on the soundtrack and its relly good

Well, let me just slip to you that the story accelerates very nicely without werid inexplicable things happening without explanation coming about later. You are in for such a treat, this series has to be one of the best in a long time.

I've got the two soundtracks already and they are soooo good. The music is definitely one of the best points of this series. It swings between sad and crazily happy so much. There is no neutral music, its one or the other, it's great

I agree, mai hime is one of the best animes out as of now, and is done pretty well.

Actually, its not done pretty well, its done GREAT!

The only episode i didnt like was episode 25 though, they rushed too fast on it.

Since next episode is the last episode, im scared i would cry because theres always a damn sad part in the last episode (Dammit.. i hate crying on an anime.. but im going to have to watch 26 anyway)

Its kind of a girlish anime, but its still one of the best animes out there.

I dont like how reito suddenly became very evil to very nice, its like episodes 1-25 was a dream -.-

Whoa, thats amazing.

After all I was thinking that there would be a second mai hime since i last watched episode 26, because i remember Nagi said something in the end of the episode like:

"Just because the Hime Star is gone, doesnt mean all the bad things from this world is gone"

And then after that he said "Instead, the future has just become foggier"

And then mashiro said something like "But those girls were the chosen Himes, If its them, they can"

Now, doesnt that seem like its not gonna end yet? =P

well in case someone else wants to know what happens after 11, im not going to pm. for those of you who dont want to know, dont read the white text:

hmph, well, i can say episode 10 is when they were making the cake, not much happened in ep 11-15 (it was kind of a hint to what is going to happen in episodes 16-26, so all we got to see was hime's running around).

So, in episode 16 nagi told all the himes to fight eachother, because that was what Reito wanted. (of course Mai didnt know that it was Reito who wanted this)

So they all started fighting, all the himes except Mai and Mikoto died in ep 25.

Episode 26 everyone came back alive because mashiro revived them all.

Then all the himes were back and destroyed the hime star (I think)

and suddenly everyone became all nice at the end...

Theres more to it but I explain like a nobody ;)

I saw the whole series a while back. Loved it to bits. The ending was so awesome, but it could have been better.

I was looking at the official website (http://www.sunrise-inc.co.jp/my-hime/) and it seems there will be more Mai HIME after the series. Something about 'Mai HIME project 2'.

I figured that too, but maybe not :roll: The poster seems to have something to do with the presidant (y'know, the girl with the purple hair) and some other girl. So, it may take place before the series. :?:
