Yes the des is here, and he is tired of the happy tooty fruity series' that are out...

Anybody got a sweet more grim/ darker series to recommend.

Weiss Kreuz:

Its an anime about 4 men whoa re assasins who kill those who are above the law. The storylines are bery twisted partly, and the tragic past of each of them mmbers in the group become more tragic and dark as the anime goes on. definatley are very sweet and kewl dark themed anime.

100 Stories:

Its about a guy who is a story writter. He meets up with a group ofhuman/deamons who make people remeber their pasts and the wrong doings they did and they kill them as an act of justice. And like when i say wrong doings I mean, murder, rape, canabalisim, and so on. The anime kept me itnrested cause the apst of thsoe they kiled were jsut like.."Wow..can't believe they did that or GOOD GOD DAMN.." but otehr than tath drawing style, and ending of anime ..meh.

Did you ever watch Hellsing?

It's not one of my favorites, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.


(I hear ya. I'm a little tired of them too, they never stop coming.. o_o)

I downloaded Texhnolyze 1-13...it seems grim...i've only seen the first ep, and there was like 3 scenes...each having only like 3 lines of dialogue in them...it seems depressing and like the end of the world or somehting

Yes, Hellsing is good...and short so wouldn't take long to get all the eps :P

Gungrave's good and the eps I've seen seemed grimish.

I've seen the whole Texhnolyze series and it is a very dark anime, but like SE Lain its got its weird side. I do recommend it though if you like blood and guts.

I've always liked Gunslinger Girls, its maybe not as dark but there is something twisted about little girls that are mind controlled to be little badass assasins

Me recommends Pet Shop Of Horrors... there's only four episodes made tho u.u ..... still...the manga's really good ^.^..... just waiting to get volume nine now :twisted:

Hellsing is good as well tho...

Keep em coming :), I just felt its tiem for a change as mentioned.... so so so so many of these overly happy animes coming out... Not that they all suck... its just that one gets tired of the ..... well you know what i speak of .


And yes i have seen Hellsing

its a short series but i still think its good ^^

It is pretty old but I liked Fist of the North Star. I read it in manga so not sure if there was an anime series for it. Quiet lot of gore in this manga. The main character praticed martial arts that could manipulate pressure points. If he hit you in a certain way, you would explode...lol.
