Chidori and Raikiri

What's the difference? from what i understood one is an improved version of the other made by kakashi, but they both look the same?

I believe they are the same. Chidori is the official name and Raikiri is the nick name?

Chidori = 1000 birds?
Raikiri = lightning edge?
vice versa?

Can't remember exactly.

there is one difference pretty importan imo

when kakashi is doing chidori he is pointing his palm down

when kakashi is doing raikir he is pointing his palm up. and it looks cooler :P

but both are super.
