Full Metal Alchemists...great series..once of the best imo

but its about two brother alchemists who are on a quest to get their original bodies back after they attempt a forbidden transmutation but fail. umm..i'll leave it at that

Basically the two elric brothers are alchemists who try to resurrect their mother but in failing one of them loses his body and his brother binds his soul to a suit of armor, and loses his arm and leg in return, so he has to get auto mail. Their mission is to find the Philospher's stone which ignores the rule of alchemy that says you must give something of equal value to receive whatever you are transmuting. They want it so they can reclaim their original bodies, and limbs.
