Well, anime does contribute all of these things, however:

Not all manga have an anime to go with it, and not all anime came from a manga. So they're not really directly made to go with each other, it's just that when they do, it's usually a happy relationship ;)

Besides... sometimes I'll enjoy a colored manga more than anime. If I feel like reading and looking at the artwork (With Naruto, the anime and manga look the same, but some other series' manga have far better artwork than its anime), then a colored manga is perfect. Especially because I think it's true, it makes the fighting scene panels more easy to understand.
And honestly... sometimes I'd rather read a chapter of a manga in 5, 10 minutes, than to sit and watch a 30 minute episode of the same thing :p

But don't get me wrong, I love both. Just sayin' 8)



BTW: Good job on the coloring!!
This makes me wish I had more time, and ability to CG color... If I had both, I'd definately help out. This stuff is awesome :D
