Naruto on Adult Swim

we will see how that works out. increasingly more and more cartoon netwrk is pushing to see what they can get away with cartoon wise. by the time naruto comes out it should be identicle to the japanese naruto,

but maybe they will put more cursing and sexual inuendo into it who knows

No way! That would license Naruto wouldn't it? And that would mean no more downloading. Besides the dubs would be horrible anyways.

If its ADV or Pioneer, then i have no problem with Naruto being dubbed. My worse nightmare is if Funimation or 4kids get the rights.

who cares? by the time its licenced, the whole series will be out...... probably... anyways they usually licence a few episodes at a time just in case it comes to america and nobody likes it...if you watch it in japanese then that should be enough, unless you are totally obsessed and wanna hear what the dubed version sounds like...

I don't think dubs are a good idea even if it was done by a reknowned producers. It just seems like the American voice actors are not enthusiatic as the Japanese voice actors. I just don't feel the same kind of effort coming out.

I still don't like dubs after I've watched an anime in subs or the other way around. Best example is Trigun from subs to being dubbed on Adult Swim. Vash sounded terrible, much better listening to him in japanese.

in a way that can go the same for me too. Cowboy Bebop, Rahxephon and Excel Saga i heard dub first so i prefer the dub. As for the same as Chobbits, and Hellsing with the sub. I guess for me its the first time i ever hear it if i like it dub or sub.

yes the subs are much better.. plus i got used to reading and listening to japanese at the same time..

it keeps you more into the anime rather than just the dubbing... you HAVE TO READ INORDER TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!!!

or if something happened... and you look away for a second.. and you missed it.. you have to go back and read it :wink:

Is it just me or does the Japenese voice actor for Spike in CB sound the same as the voice actor of Kakashi? Heh, imagine David Lucas (english spike voice) doing Kakashi... Strange, not that hard to imagine.

Adult swim is too infrequent. I wish i had an anime channel. The networks cut anime to pieces. If you watch anything on TV and then watch it on dvd... There are so many unfamilar parts. Same goes for normal shows like the simpsons. Channel 10 cuts so much out of it where as on fox 8 you can see it all. The only decent american voice actors were for DBZ in my opinion. Anything else i prefer subtitles. I like hearing languages i don't understand anyway :D

Naruto is finally on toonami. It is dubbed so people can understand it. I haven't seen any japanese episodes, so I can't compare them.
