Naruto - Half Life Mod

Sup Guys, I dunno my friends and I MIGHT start a Naruto Mod for Half Life...

jus a quick question, will this mod work with counter strike? i dont really know much about half life (or any shoot em ups for that matter!!) but a friend is tryin to get me to play counter strike and he when he installed it, it had what i recognized as the half life logo....are they like the same game or sumin with diffrent names? and will ur mod work with counter strike 1.5 or 1.6?

Half-Life is the original game, and Counter-Strike was a user made mod of that, and Sierra bought it out because it was doing so well, and they started marketing it. With a retail copy of Counter-Strike more than likely there will be no problem with running a half-life mod. More than likely though from what ive seen it would probably have to run off of 1.5 because of Steam, but im not completely sure of how steam works, i quit playing when it came out. Im pretty sure with any new user mods though, they will have to be compatible with 1.5 to run on the WON servers instead of steam.. But i have no clue what im talking about, this is just all an assumption 8)

:shock: ok that kinda made sense.....lol (and people wonder why i avoid the newer first person shoot em ups!!) y cant people just stick with things like doom where theres one name to the series n tahts that. lol. o well i guess i cant really knock it as i do play it occasionally.....even tho i suck! lol still thanx for clearing up that little misunderstanding for me. how is the mod comming along? i think that in place of a flash bang grenade, u shuld use the kage- bushin n have like a million (slight exageration) copies of u runnin around the screen so the enemy cant work out which one is u. probly wouldnt be very practical or probly even possible (as i know nothing about these games or modifying them) but would be very cool if possible. :)

dnt play star craft.... my housemate likes warcraft 3...im guessin they are the same kinda game tho. i mean kinda like taht half life - counter strike type. still im sure a naruto mod would get me playing it too. and i know he wouldnt complain coz he likes naruto aswel :D

depends what country u live in. probly not much more than £20-£30 brand new......but u can always download it :wink: latest version out is 1.6 but 1.5 was good too. only real difference i personally noticed (but dnt take my word coz i dnt play it very often) was improved graphics and slight change in weapons. 1.6 ran faster on my computer than 1.5 did also so id recomend that one :)

Ive been playing counter strike for about 4 years now and i know a bit about half life mods to

looking forward to the Naruto Mod, Will it be single,multiplayer or both mod?

P.S Dont make it like the DBZ mod which was cool for 2 minutes :)

you can have the replication technique thing as a teleport kind of thing.. replace urself with something or someone else.....

I could offer some help in some 3d-models. I'm not very good with people but I could make you weapon-models for example.

In fact, I have already made a simple model of kunai. It's very basic and I made it in about an hour but anyway...

Would you be making the viewpoint in it first person or third person? Judging by the nature of Naruto I would think it would be better to use a third person view, as the only thing I can think of that would make sense to use a first person view for would be shurikens, since it's really best for long range stuff.

It does. When playing normal half life if you go into the console and type thirdperson it will change to a third person view, however the angle won't be behind you, but there are a lot of commands to adjust things like that.

That's what it looks like if you just type in thirdperson. I'm pretty sure all the commands to manipulate it start with 'cam', but I don't remember any of them exactly.
