Yesterday 9/20/08, Toonami ended after 11 years. :(

F@$k cartoon network for taking away the best thing they had going and going mainstream. They're retarded. Cartoon Network is dead to me now. Thanks for taking away one of the greatest things to look forward to on the weekend and a $h!t ton of memories.

Im suprised, thought it was the best show they had on cartoon network. that got a lot of anime some real popularity with the american crowd and eventually got people into watching the show with japanese subs.

I agree with you, hopefully they will take over the animes tho so we don't loose them, but yea I also do not like adult swim, I love toonami tho, I miss the classic toonami, They're gonna regret, and better think about puttin it back, I heard another action block will be taking it over, that's BS, just keep toonami we don't want another action block.

no, thats just childish and it usually causes more problems than it solves. And we still dont absolutly know if cartoon network was directly responsible for the show being cut off.

Toonami also used to air on wb11 but was canceled there not because of the channel station, but because of management change.

but yea im still pretty shocked that it was canceled, hell tonami got me into anime as well with rurouni kenshin. And i always thought toonami was pretty damn popular with naruto considering all these kiddies keep refering to the english dubs all the time. Plus they seemed to promote a fuck load of naruto items because of its popularity.

Adult swim during the week doesn't even have any action anime anymore and on Sat it's even worst i use to look forward to watching some Death Note or Eureka 7. Toonami was the shit. I remember coming home after 5th grade and with the lack of shit on tv i started watching DBZ. Then Gundam Wing started showing right afterward so that got me hooked. Those two series were awsome at the time. It sucks how after all these years Toonami is gone. damn thats like a peice of my childhood was just stripped away.
