Even if he is stronger, I doubt he is as stupid as to go to an akatsuki hiding place, expecting to trump every akatsuki there. Even konoha sends entire teams to beat down even 1 or 2 akatsuki (hell, they even sent legions of teams to go meet and defeat kakuzu and hidan). But seeing the pictures, I'm afraid the raikage is strong but as stupid as Gai...

And I think I'm going to have a new favourite girl in the manga if this chick in the last picture (from bosz) turns out to have a few nice tricks >_>

Even though Raikage made his first appearance, for some reason, it feels as if he's illustrated in a rather hurried fashion. It seems, he shares a similar trait with Hachibi in brute-strength department; however, as Paps mentioned above, I don't think his brain power is equally fare with his strength...

Therefore, undoubtly, he'll end up being a temporary figure... Perhaps, his countdown have already begun. *shrugs*

This looks like a very boring chapter. Kishi has 3.5 months left to shift focus onto Sakura and Kakashi or else he's a lier and spent too much time with Sauske. This is so annoying.

Hmmm... I focus a lot of my time on helping out minorities in my workplace who have been discriminated against for many years. There's a difference between black fire and black people, least last tiem I check there was. . . (Correct me if I'm wrong there). But yeah, flaunting 'sicentific' thing like that don't do anything but get people pissed off at you. What's the point? But of course the Raikaga will phail just like the 8TJ, for Sauske is Kishi's secret lover and has his miracle no jutsu. I hope he fights somebody other then Sauske so he stands a chance . . . After all he is a Kage, and therefore (supposedly) one of the five strongest shinobi (But against Kishis's luv he is nothing more then a genin).

I second winds thoughts. The 8TJ was wiping the floor with Taka even before he transformed, so in theory (this term must be used liberally when a main character is fighting) shouldn't he be exponentially more powerful when he transforms into a manifestation of his tailed beast? I guess what wind is getting at is not so much Sauske defeating the 8TJ (which we all know was inevitable), but rather that he did it one attack against which the mighty bull cried like a bitch. :tsk:

I, like everyone else here, believes that Kishi's illustration was not intended towards racial stereotype, but his lack of understanding of how uber our African American brothers' natures and demeanors are. His poor illustration via lack of understanding shouldn't be dumped into a racial-bash department (but I can understand why it "appeared" that way...)

Killerbee, Kakuzu, and soon our newly introduced Raikage, are all designed to meet (and to deliver) a certain purpose. Just like Paps mentioned not too long ago, they are specifically engineered to become... hmm... shall we say... a "punching bag" for our main characters. Perhaps Kishi is realizing that he is taking too much time on his main squeeze already. Did he actually heeded our cry for a change? *shrugs* The reason why I'm saying this is because he seems to be in hurry now a days... Which means, he wants to finish this and move on to something else... (Aka. members dropping like flies, Sasugay gaining insane amount of power in less than three volumes, meeting Itachi mano yi mano, killing him off and thus finishing Sasu/Ita chronicle is an example... *phew*)

But then again, Kishi's story these days are all too easy to predict in terms of general direction. And seeing how Raikage is designed and illustrated (poor one, no doubt), I can already tell he'll be a temporary one...

Fires start when a flammable or combustible material with supply of oxygen or is subjected to enough heat.

Therefore, the elements of fire are
1. a combustible substance(a substance that can catch fire)
2. Oxygen or an oxidiser
3. Adequate Heat

When Orochimaru first coveted Sasuke, we were later discovered that Sasuke (being an amateur schemer compares to 50+ years Oro) outfoxed Oro and captured him. Now shortly after Oro's fall, Madara is taking Sasuke under his wing, similar to that of what Oro have done in the past.

Now, the image of Sasu/Oro relationship was an old lion raising a lion cub, who later, outfoxed the old lion and rose triumphantly. However, in my personal point of view, Oro wasn't just a typical old lion, but a lion that had strength, cunning, and the brain to match his S-rank status. However, the fall of Oro, once again in my own personal opinion, was quite wrong to a certain degree. It was as if, Oro's brain and his scheming ability just went down to zero and then all of a sudden, became naive and believed everything that Sasugay portrayed, up until the point of betrayal. Like, Oro's quote, "I knew it would come to this" would've justify that he knew it all along... In realistic point of view, wouldn't you rather be more cautious and think of several other escape plans before making any such hasty move? ESPECIALLY if it was up to Oro the veteran of betrayal?

So in my point of view, I believe Madara may end up facing a similar fate. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can almost smell Sasugay plotting something against Madara. Madara's deception amongst his Aka. members is impressive enough. I mean, seriously, hiding behind 8 Aka. members and puppetering behind the curtain is quite something to behold, especially when all those puppets are all S-ranked criminals. That how he felt before. Right now, he feels like he'll do anything in order to avenge Itachi, so while he thought Itachi didn't share the same vision as him, him going blind right now would put things into perspective. It's either taking Itachi's eyes, or going Konoha blind. I'd think he would do the former.

Maybe Sasuke's screen-time/storyline has been indeed 9 month's worth. Perhaps Kishi is trying to end it, or prolong it... who knows. Maybe Kakashi and Sakura have to wait just a bit longer. Even worse, Naruto may have to wait even longer. But guys, just because he announced it, doesn't mean he have no other options but to stick to it. Just like any artists who's working on their masterpiece, at times, things do change (for better, or for the worse). Kishi may or may not have a detailed plot to carry the story, but I'm sure he has the overall picture of how the story will begin, to end, and to start anew. I know how frustrating it is to wait, but we have no other choice but to wait...

I'm fed up with Sasugay O'rama as much as any of you; however, I realized that there's nothing I can do to speed things up for we are all slaves of Kishi's illustration...

Kishi have concentrated on Sasuke's storyline much more than Naruto since post time skip. However, that was because he was mixed up with Sasuke/Oro, Akatsuki, and Sasuke/Itachi (who Itachi WAS a member of Akatsuki), and other web of storylines that were scattered around Sasuke. Kishi had to (not necessarily, but in this case, he did) tie them all together and end few of them. At times, I felt the same way that Kishi seems too obsessive in terms of Sasuke and his screen-time; however, it can also be seen as a way to "enrich" the storyline, even if the main character (Naruto) has to sit on a shelf for a little bit.

Not a pretty way of doing things, but if Kishi is doing this for the sake of storyline (and I'm hoping that he is), then it may actually be worth the wait... :D

It'll most likely take both. If you look back to the statue that Itachi showed Sasuke, the statue holds 4 eyes. So taking his brother's eyes, Sasuke could very well put them in his own statue (which probably all Uchiha have inside them), and the product is a brand new EMS. Hence, the condition of the eye implanted isn't important.

Hidan was going to be cocky regardless of who he's fighting. Plus remember, we aren't just considering them fighting the opponents that they fought in the series, but also any other nins. Imagine if Hidan fought Kakashi, or someone that fight at range, he'd have trouble getting close to get their blood.

okay, they may be loners when they are facing small groups because they know their own strength and minimize other people's strenghts, but when confronted with an entire country, I doubt they'll all say "i'll deal with this".

Kakashi would lose? He doesn't just use Taijutsu, what about his MS? Also, he could very well just use Inner Earth Decapitation, for an opponent as dumb as Hidan, he could very well fall for that one.

So? It's not like Hidan attacks continously either, everytime an attack comes close, Neji could use Kaiten, and nullify Hidan's attack. Hidan isn't exactly the fastest guy in the world, so while he's still decent in terms of speed, Neji could very well either dodge or Kaiten around all his scythe slashes.

Palm techniques stop HIdan from moving totally since his tenketsus will be disabled (and he doesn't have naruto's demon chakra to clear them again).

And the Kaiten pushes everything away, so if Neji is any good (and yes, he is), then he'll use Kaiten when it is needed, push the scythe away, immediately stop his kaiten and go into palm-mode.

Neji is probably one of the worst match-ups for Hidan. (Although I don't see him having a chance against Lee either).

Hidan would do amazingly well against Chouji since he's a physical fighter and relies on hits for damage, and his enlarged bodyparts would make it even easier to hit.

Ok, if you want to get technical, he isn't dead right now, Shikamaru didn't actually kill him. The point is that he'll be decapitated enough such that he won't be able to do anything, his body would be destroyed, I'd like to see Kakuzu sew him back together then.

HOLY CRAP HYUGA!!! Seems like there's a history of defection with the Hyuga's and we'll hear about it. That line alone made me more excited than anything in Naruto in a long time, finally getting to see some backstory from other clans.
