Pirunravel's spoiler seems quite good, although if the raikage WAS there, he'd f up sasuke and the team seeing how they are totally exhausted / nearly wasted...

And with those two mentioning that they had to go warn the raikage, it would be a tad too soon for them to be there (unless this chapter is "several hours later")

Hmmm, interesting post Pir. I have a feeling that one, or a variation of that one, will turn out to be true. It follows the pattern of the last few chapters and pretty much shows us what we have been set up for.

For some odd reason, I imagine the Raikage being dressed as Shusui from Bleach ! hahaha

I wonder what kind of fighting method that black toad will use, probably genjutsu, since Fuku said the toad uses a method naruto is not familiar with (Hmm but Naruto did have some prior exposure to genjutsu so I dunno)

I think that the spoiler has some merrit but the thing that I have a question about is if the book that Pa frog gave Naruto is for the final leg of his training why give it to him now then say "read it" then tell him that he can't read it? Besides that i just want the Raikage to wipe the floor with team Hawk because I think they won that battle and didn't deserve to. The Raikage being a brother is really exciting to me as well...I mean how many brothers you know do ninja stuff...very cool!!!

I find the new spin with Sauske vowing to kill all of Konoha and only "performed" his vow to kill the upper 3 in front of Snawk rather interesting. I wonder if this is a flashback or after he gets back from capturing the 8-tails. I would find it more interesting if it is a flashback because of his "thoughts" before he used Ama. If it's after, than his thoughts of Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura don't make sense. He's obviously making a point by showing his MS. Maybe he will take Itachi's eyes, but probably not.

Maybe he's also telling Madara what he wants to hear.

I'm curious to find out what Raikage has planned, if he's going to target Konoha for his anger or if he's going to pursue Akatskui(spling)

I don't think that Sauske has any intention on killing all of Kanoha, 1st of all if he does attempt to do that he'll just be another version of Orochimaru...We've seen that and it would be to cleche' for him to follow in Oro's foot steps...One of the themes of the story is surpassing your sensei...Jariaya failed in saving Oro so Naruto has to save Sauske it's just wouldn't be in line with the story if he didn't ...

The thing is, we've seen Kishi transform all the characters in Naruto's age group as followers of their parents, ones that haven't gone beyond what their parents have done. He's blatently shown Naruto, Sauske and Sakura as being young versions of Jiraiya, Oro, and Tsunade. So far, we haven't seen any reason for them to be beyond those three. Sauske's not truly bent on knowing every jutsu and expanding his life, but he does want revenge on Konoha and will attack it at any way possible. Only thing different for Naruto from Jiraiya is that he's got the Kyuubi and raw talent that's let him advanced more quickly than Jiraiya (oh and the FRS) but he hasn't truly gone beyond Jiraiya. If anyone is a true copy/paste it'd be Sakura and Tsunade. It was hinted that Sakura had the potential for Genjutsu but we haven't seen her elaborate on it.

For all purposes, these characters have all been following in their predicesors footsteps and haven't really taken steps off those all ready beaten trails.

I agree, we need to see Naruto actually save Sauske and bring him back to his senses. We'll see that "Hidden Power" Itachi gave Naruto as a way of accomplishing this rather than destroying Sauske (Itachi didn't want to kill sauske, no matter what). Naruto, now reading Jiraiya's book, will probably start doing things that Jiraiya didn't do to become better than Jiraiya and maybe, just maybe, he'll learn about his Father and start looking at that as a source of his training (did it to make the FRS, and he didn't realize that the 4th is his father).

Anyway, I'm almost ready to see what happens with Kakashi and Sakura.

Madara's subtlety is 80+ years in the making. If anyone is using anyone, I seriously doubt that Madara will be someone else's pawn...

My question is, why do they have to be imitations of their parents to be strong or show they can surpass them? I suppose that Kishi has to have some type of way to measure their superiority to the previous generation ... by showing how they're better versions of their parents/mentors.

I love the series, but looking at it like that makes it kind of lame.

The truly invintive characters are the ones that we didn't get to see their parents. In other words, seeing the Sand nin work they way they did without knowing their parents/mentors.

When Kakashi announced that "younger generation beating the older fart generation and etc. etc." to Kakuzu, you have to remember that Kakuzu was in 6 vs 1 handicap match. Sure, Naruto did that one-hit-wonder FRS trick and ended it; however, Kakuzu had quite a bit of arsenals at his hands. If it wasn't for Kakashi and Yamato's interference, Naruto would've been toast when he made his first mistake on FRS.

I don't know why people are treating Kakashi's quote like a biblical phrase. Sure, it makes sense in a way, but to some others, it just shouldn't be applied at all...

technically Sasuke is a chunnin, remember in the chunnin exam when gaara passed out and escaped the arena with his siblings, the referee (forgot his name was it hayate???) ordered sasuke to follow the suna shinobi, and he told him the abilities he demonstrated during his fight were chunin level.

We still don't know the context in which Saksue's words are told to Madara. Is it a flashback, or is it after he captures the 8-tails?

I have two thoughts. Firstly, now that Madara has the 8tails, he's wanting to find out Sauske's true motives and how he'll use the 8tails, and thusly Madara can use Sauske. I think he was planning on trying to convince Sauske to hate all of Konoha, but now that he knows he all ready does, he's happy and it won't take any effort or lies.

Secondly, Sauske is rethinking what he told Madara because of his sudden rememberance of Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi. They most likely had Senju heritage, and he'd have to kill them, but he's conflicted because they were his good friends. They protected him with teamwork and such much like how Snawk did. Does he now have the resolve he did, and does he want Madara to keep thinking it.

I don't think I've seen spoilers to distinguish between the two scenarios, but I'll believe either idea when I read the whole chapter on Friday.

Well a few things here:

First of all I'm bummed out that we're hardly seeing anythin if anythin at all about Naruto and the book this week. But what could we do ya kno, Kishi said he'd focus on Sasuke alot this year, then some Kakashi and Sakura before goin back to mainly Naruto, and that's what he appears to be gradually doing still.

Like someone said, sometimes spoilers don't contain everything, or the translations are off, but with this spoiler, with the flashback of Sasuke saying he wants revenge on the whole village now. Well he first did tell hawk he wanted to take revenge on the 3 higher ups and thats it, after that we find out that he is just using Akatsuki when he is about to fight 8 tails (http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/411/05/), well considering that being said after what Sauske says in this new flashback, then there is still a strong possibility that Sasuke is just deceiving Madara probably to accomplish something bigger and still plans to just attack the elders if anyone.

Buttttttttttttt on the other hand if Sasuke is still actin like an emo faggot hellbent on revenge against little innocent kids and villagers of Konoha then he's one crazy a$$ mofo, if he thinks he can destroy Konoha by himself then man oh man does he have a big arse kicking coming, I think he needs a good ass kicking by some of his old friends to realize that he's being immature and retarded and make him change for the better. i still don't think akatsuki are the final bad people. kabuchi still hasnt been shown, danzou's plans still havent been found out. i still hope danzou is the final since he knows konoha really well he will know how to hurt it the best.

after this akatsuki is done it will focus on kabuchimaru and then hopefully after that focus on danzou.

I don't think the toads know, other than Bunta.If Minato signed a contract to summoned the toads they have to know who he is...And the key toad knows everything about Naruto and how Minato sealed the Kyuubi inside of him...So it's not unreasonable that the toads would know all about Minato and him being Naruto's father...

Considering that it was a flashback of what he said to Madara before Taka-han left to retrieve Kiraabii, I think it has significance, because it’s also a part of Kishimoto’s style--have something significant happen, but don’t reveal it until something else happens so that it will click with the readers.
