They have no money to spend on it, China has 1.3 billion people and has a GDP equal to that of Germany, which has about 60 million people.

As a nation they are rich, as individual people they are way poorer than westerners.

India has 1 billion people and a GDP smaller than Canada's, and Canada has 30 million people.

But yes, the increased population means more consumption, more waste (farts included), and more everything really if you look at it in a big picture...
