Anyone proud on how much luffy's crew has grown so much?

I am currently on chapter 500 exactly, on page 07 right now and I have to say that zoro has grown the most.

I remember in the beginning he was like an average fighter (he still kinda had that "im too good for dat shit" attitude though which is cool )
But now, man hes like different now. Its so badass seeing him attempting a move or something, like he knows he won't be stopped now. (When zoro attacked that marine guy in the bubble helmet they were like "wow, I am so sure that zoro guy had a serious intent on killing him" after, I was like damnnnnnnn zoro gets cooler and cooler). Its so fun seeing him alone now he just goes everywhere knowing he'll be okay

I didn't really like him at first but hes like my favorite character now. Also hes always drawn so cool 100% of the time now lol.
Sanji is like invincible with his 1200/1200 SAT score brain and his strength, he definately improved a lot IMO.
Usopp... man this guy amazes me. (Even though they overdo him sometimes with the 100% accuracy shots in the spooky island fight with that horo horo girl) but other than that he's improved. He is smart now too.

Nami... well she improved a little but she hardly fights.
Luffy has improved but he just needs to work that brain up more lol like falling for weird tricks. Right now if he fights any of his old enemies it would still take him a while to figure out how to beat them. (if he didn't face them before)
And now... damn look at their whole crew now since episode 1 chapter 1. They got some famous pirates and a SKELETON! No freaking crew in the world has a walking talking skeleton in their crew probably. Shanks will be proud of luffy I know it

I am so proud of this anime.. I used to think this anime was childish but really its something unique to me. The storyline and how much luffy's crew grows keeps me watching (and reading now that I just got into it). It's cool reading about an arc (like shabondy park) and thinking "hm, at the same time something ELSE is happening, like whitebeard pirates are probably marching in helping ace or something while they are showing luffy in this bubble island" lol
Oh yeah, one piece has officially made me like reading manga lol. I used to hate reading manga but man this is so fun.

This new island is AWESOME! The new 100+ million beri bounty pirates are REALLY something to look forward for! I can't wait to see what happens.

It is #1 manga in Japan.

Yeah, for a series where the characters don't go through major character development and twists in their personality the Strawhats have "grown up" really well. I doubt Luffy would ever loose his goofy demenour, so he will always have moments of being dull and distracted in battle, but maybe he will use that to his own advantage, like a mind game type thing, lol. But I seriously don't see the major attributes of Luffy changing, but he might get smarter in the use of his fruit power and how he sets up to hit people. Seems like he has no choice actually because of all the powerful enemies that stand in front of him.

I'm at 483 right now, almost all caught up. Their growth have been nothing short of amazing, I just finished reading:


Luffy using Gear second and third at the same time to defeat Moria, that was pretty crazy that it didn't destroy his body. Didn't really like the way Moria went out though, favorite villan was still God Enel.

im luving he way luffy's crew is growing. i caught up yesterday. and their team work is getting heaps better. sanji and zoro's team work is sick, even though they argue and all they get the job done as a team.

usopp has grown too and same as tanuki lol (is that how they spell it) thats what they call chopper.

imo luffy as an individual has grown awesomely. straw hats as a crew have grown awesomely too. i cant wait for more chapters. this manga has got me liking it a lot.

i just really want to see luffy vs kidd and who else they might recruit if they do. technically luffy has the biggest crew ever. he has people from everywhere ready to give him a hand at pretty much anytime. so without realising his crew is big

the best fight for me was when when luffy was fighting and then turned to baka luffy and octopus luffy LOL tha cracked me up so much.

Yeah, but everyone thinks that Chopper's a tanuki the first time he/she sees him... They all call him a tanuki (at which Chopper gets mad and corrects them).

The crew has grown, but they still seem far behind compared to other crews. For instance, would usopp have any chance against van auger after what we saw him do in Jaya? I understand Oda not wanting to make the entire crew insanely strong though, they have a good balance and each is growing steadily.

It is #1 manga in Japan.

Yet here it takes a back seat to naruto and bleach for some reason. I wish there were more discussions one one piece but here(and in other forums) naruto is more popular.

usopp just needs to grow some gonands. sometimes he is awesome. but a lot of the times he is a burden. chopper is alright he is getting stronger and so is nami. but she is on par with usopp i think

Usopp with his mask on is awesome, but yeah, I agree, I think he's on par with Nami, although her weather rod is pretty awesome.

Usopp with his mask on is awesome, but yeah, I agree, I think he's on par with Nami, although her weather rod is pretty awesome.

I almost forget that it was usopp who actually created her weather rod so he definetly gets major props for that. He's probably always gonna be the coward but he's still smart enough to get by a lot of enemies. Nami would be stuck with her wooden poll if it weren't for usopp however, so i give him the edge in that regard.
