He had sarcoidosis. An immune system disorder that affects tens of thousands of Americans. Symptoms include a persistent cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, night sweats, weight loss, small red bumps on the face, arms or buttocks, red, watery eyes, and arthritis in the ankles, elbows, wrists and hands, according to the Mayo Clinic. Most cases are mild, but severe cases can cause scarring in the lungs, a complication that occurs in 20 to 25 percent of patients.

He was hospitalized with pneumonia.

Rest in peace BM! You will be missed.

I watch House MD all the time and hear about sarcoidosis. House MD may be a fiction tv show, but it was on the news that a medical doctor actually wrote a book that have similar cases to what shows on the tv show.

Do you think sarcoidosis or pneumonia are illnesses to be taken lightly? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Pneumonia is certainly serious if not treated, the mere existence of it is sign of a compromised immune system.

May you rest in peace.

I had pneumonia once, when I was about 7 or 8. It was...really scary. Between the high fevers and the feeling of not being able to breathe, I felt like I was dying. I'm sure that's why I don't like swimming much, and why I'm so terrified of drowning to death.

also what many people don't know but yea pneumonia is dangerous, but it becomes incredibly more dangerous when the person already has an outlying illness or condition. rip to a man who brought many people smiles.
