I think he was assassinated though. There was that knock on his door he went up to answer and then we find him dead. The only question now is who is strong enough to assassinate Cross Marian

my guess is the political side not just the beat em up side, and the fact that the noahs appear to have a human/mortal side.

yeah this was a complete blindside. He was hyped like no other character. even the other generals are intimidated by him. He comes into the manga for a couple of fights and doesn't disapoint. And then very quickly he's dead. I mean it was so sudden I can't even begin to think who it was.

I think that was probably the effect of Grave of Maria. I think he's going to investigate who's behind it and try to get some hardcore evidence to bring them down. It's hard to believe he's dead, so I'm going with that. In the meantime they're probably going to try and frame Allen.

Well as far as we know he was the only one who could fight the earl.

if he is dead then they have already lost the war,they don't have enough exorcist as it is atm.

true the other generals don't seem to match his strength. I think he's the only one to use two innocence isn't he?

btw didn't Allen surpass the 100% synchro so he should be at a general's level. We haven't seen anybody talk about that again since it was first mentioned.

@TLS: I think too much stuff has been happening for there to be any time to focus on appointing new generals, especially if the high ups are suspicious of allen. But if and hopefully when it happens it should be allen and lenalee. I know we didn't get the same comment about lenalee's sync ratio as allens but it appeared the same thing happened, or it did to me at least.

I don't mean that Allen should be given a new rank, but now that an opening as come up it makes you wonder if Allen might take on Cross's old job eventually, sfter the suspicion dies down.

As for Lenalee, what happened to her is that her innocence was at first a weapon type. So her synchro rate would never exceed 80% or so. Weapon innocence just don't bond as closely with he users body as the parasite innocence do because they dont integrate to the body itself. But after she rebonded with her innocence, something weird and unique happened. Her innocence now has the properties of both innocence. Lenalee mentioned that she can now control her innocence much easier as if they were her normal legs, a characteristic of parasite type innocence. But the innocence remains outside her body like a weapon type. The solution they came up with is that innocence is made from Lenalee's blood.

As for Rhodes (I think this is the correct spelling) father, that shit was completely out of no where. Having a Noah that high in society with some influence in whatever he does, might become problematic too. We should have seen it coming though I think

Well we saw the earl and him talking and then we saw earls human form.


And most of the people there where noahs,rhoads adoptive parents are both noahs I think.
