Using IRC, HOW?

Ok I wanted to check out irc chatting.
I have miranda so it's easy to do that and talk to friend on AIM etc.

I'm in dattebayo's chat room, i think?
No one is there, which I find kind of strange since things come out today and there isn't anyone on. I looked at some tutorials, and it looks like i did everything right. How exactly do you get in?

No one goes on the IRC channel here. They just use messengers to talk to each other.

I believe DB has some people on their channel. Alot actually - although the reason for that is because the host bots :)

Check what server your connecting to , - www.dattebayo.com (http://www.dattebayo.com) should have information on it.

Also , make sure you use # and type the channel name correctly along with using legimate names and information for your "user"

Edit : DB has its own server so you might have to add it.

yeah I did all of that

irc.dattebayo

and the channel is #db

it shows me as the only user all the time. hmm I gotta check things out, maybe it's my firewall?
