It looks greats and all, but I just have a feeling it won't play smooth ( i hope i'm wrong). It's also too dramatical and to DBZ-like (Kakashi performing double-raikiri and flying into the air to do another raikiri), not that i have a problem with that, but it just isn't Naruto.

Well i have played the demo and it is great even though there is only 2 characters and 1 arena (in da demo), naruto and kakashi's combos are great and the support system kicks ass. Anyway in wiki it said that the roaming around mode will be like rise of a ninjas so yeah the story mode will be great.

I cant wait until i get it, imagine doing cs2 sasuke's chidori clashing with 1tk naruto's rasengan in the valley of the end.

oh yeah its good having only 1 ninjutsu sucks but the melee is amazing, it keeps the feel of a naruto fight

I am seriously thinking about buying a PS3 just for this game. If I do this it will be the same reason I wanted an xbox 360. But think I'll wait til The new 360 one Broken bonds comes out and see how that plays.

Does anyone know the release date for this one?

Anyway, it was said that the story will finish at sasukes retrieval arc but there are 19 confirmed characters (there will be 25 with downloadable content) but there isn't any sign of itachi, Tsunade, shodaime, sound 5, kabuto or any of the other hokages (perhaps the other hokages willl be download able content).

the vids r awesome but should i really buy it cuz ultimate ninga 2&3 were pretty easy even on the hardest levels...but if you free roam that will make it easier right?

i downloaded the demo and had a lot of fun with it. only thing that bothers me is the lack of jutsu. Kakashi cant do anything but dog summoning and lightning blade.

In the game there will be an ability for most characters to replace slots in there item box for jutsus that consume chakra. Its been shown in previous trailers and previews were kakashi summoned a water shark at his enemy during combat.

But the way they incorperated the jutsu and the melee attacks with a fast paced fighting scene is pretty good.

yeah, i just read about that thanks for telling me. On another note i found naruto's awakening to be far more useful than kakashis. I played my friend and whoever got there awakening first, if they were naruto usually won. sharingan allows for auto replacement. But the sheer power of one tailed kyubi usually ended the fight really quickly. (p.s. my friends really good at games , im ok and we fought for an hour. So i guess im just saying its not because we suck that narutos awakening always won. but its still just my personal experience)

Depends how the player is using the chakra throughout the game. I usually do consume about half my bar of chakra throughout the match, and if i get low i use the chakra replenish item that all characters have to replenish lost chakra instantly.

In narutos case you can use his attack+ item in one tailed form and then use a rasengan to do 70% of one bar damage.

However when first awakening both you and your opponent should anyways have a full bar of chakra.

A helpful move when somone is gunna use a rasengan or a rakiri is to just hold down on the block + O, this will allow you to prevent there attack AND allows you to do an offensive move. Once there on the ground time your ultimate (kakshis takes about 2-3 sec) OR time your rakiri.

GOD i wish this game had an online functionality, would be hella fun to play this game against other people.

NUNS has arrived on the shelves a couple of days ago.
I'm definitely gonna buy it but first I am gonna get Resistence 2 (amazing game)
It seems waaaaaaaay better than the 360 counterpart (the Broken Bond)

I've been round to a friends house and he has Storm and I have to say its improved A lot from the ps2 series.
Combos are bigger and better.
Graphics are amazing.
Story mode is good for a non-rpg game.
Boss battles are amazing (gaara vs Naruto was the part I played)

Broken Bond looks like nothing has improved except the story mode.
Combos looks like RoaN.
Graphics is no where near Storm.
But the story looks great.

Too bad UNS doesn't have online play because if it had it would have probably got a 9.0 or higher from ign.
And the DLC are just support characters and new arenas.

Even some hardcore-360-fanboys that I know are jealous of UNS lol.

My brother has a xbox 360 and he downloaded it today and i've played it.
Broken Bond has dull combos.
Average graphics.
Whereas Storm beats it graphically and gameplay wise.
The thing I dislike about Storm is that no online play :mad:

Excuse me? Combos are exactly the same as they always were. You now have 1 in-game jutsu rather than 2. You don't have a variety of specials to choose from. Yes, there's now a mega-punch mechanic but they took out the rock-paper-scissors styled clash, mass kawarimi, and other little mechanics. Down circle is no longer a slow-starting gaurd breaking attack, they completely took that out. There are less cancels, which actually make LESS combos.

Supports suck the way they are now. You can spam them waaay too much. Their refill time should last 2.5x as long as they do now or they should just be scrapped.

Starting out with "set items" and being unable to obtain anymore sucks.

However, the whole 3D system is awesome, as well as the red bar transformation mode.

Still, the game mechanics are A STEP BACK overall.

Hopefully the next installment will fix all these problems and have wifi, which will finally convince me to buy a PS3 rather than mooching off my friend.

But for the record broken bond isn't that great either.

I've got the game for 5 days now and i finished it...its truly amazing but my problem is that i wanna get the second hokage but thats only possible through redeem the code from "storm pack 2". I've received "storm pack 1" so i've got the first hokage. is there anybody who wants to trade codes? then pm me. like i said i want the second hokage

oh and before i forget, does a code still work after redeeming it once?

Wireless Router is fu**ed up :(.
And it was down even before I had a PS3 (3-4 months ago) so I never had a chance to go online with the ps3.
When my parents do give me the money to buy a router (since i need it not only for my PS3 but for my laptop which is gathering dust lol) i'll sign up straight away to Playstation network and PM you my PSN ID. :thumb:

Anyways I've completed the game and its great. Graphics are awesome. The huge boss fights in the story mode like shukaku vs Naruto was very fun.

fair enough...the game's just badass, but there's another thing i dislike: it's the way you get the two hokages as your support. it's so unfair that it depends on where you pre-ordered it to get one of them...so basically you can never get both of 'em unless you got best of luck

cant wait until a new naruto game comes out where we have the full character list with all the akatsuki members,hokages 1-5, all those leaf nins that really havent been shown in action during the manga/anime, and just a bunch of other nins who only been shown for a short period of time...its kinda lame using the same people over and over and over espically with the same jutsus before the time skip

Best game ive played in a while! Beat the game 2 days ago and now im just trying to beat all the missions. I would definately have to say this game is A LOT better than the x box counterpart even tho there isnt any online gaming. Definately a must have for naruto fans. Only draw back is the story mode does skip over some stuff but it could possibly be used as a update mission u can get offline

the other thing that sucks is there is only one ultimate jutsu for each character unlike ultimate ninja 2 & 3 where they had like 4 or 5 and u just picked which one u wanted to equip your character with... im really hoping for a naruto game with the time skip characters..older sasuke,naruto,sakura etc. plus akatsuki and everyone else who is cool

maybe a create a ninja feature or create a jutsu lol dat would be awesome

yea i agree with the number of ultimate jutsu. But yea i can see them making a Shippuden version of this, but Shippuden hasnt even came out in the us yet so its gonna be a while

Well i played it and to make it short and simple its awesome of course with the abiltiy to move around and that but in my opion it lacks of those special moves that u used to perform it the ultimate ninja chronciles but in all i prefer the strom as there are new stuff

But as i am a deidara fan i prefer were shippuden characters are introduced unfrotunatly in my country the accel games dont come :(

I have to say that the game was amazingly smooth, fun and annoying all at once! Dont get me wrong I aplaude the guys for doing something different w/ the story and keeping it as fresh as possible w/ the same story, however the making you do all the missions 2 times to get full credit and the much smaller village than its 360 counterpart, not to mention no were to go outside the village or online play makes this a very beautiful, slick, and smooth average game!!

Its shininig glory is deffinetly the combat which is pure genius, pick up and play friendly yet mastering is the key to victory, and substitition isnt raped like in other games!

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm is a great game. It has a great battle mode and the style is great.

It also has the potential to add more characters(1st hokage, snd hokage, etc) which werent released originally. So it still has more potential. I say its far better than having 8 ultimate ninjas that are all the same(those japanese versions of shippuden etc)

Of course. But i doubt if a new game is gonna come out anytime soon. The game just came out. And i believe those characters i mentioned are slated to be added in march by completing a certain task or getting a certain download.
