The part of the strawhats arriving at the auction was a bit too long but otherwise the chapter was alright.

Seems like captain Kidd is looking for trouble with Luffy, his gramps is on his way and the strawhats will free Caimie at any cost. I think that the auction hall will soon cease to exist, not a bad thing since it's slave-trading, and we will see some action. Maybe a fight between Kidd and Luffy.

Then we shall see if the strawhats go to rescue Ace or continue their journey to the mermaids. But it's clear what they should do...unless a war between one of the emperors and the world government is about to start and Ace will be rescued by Whitebeard. I doubt that he will get executed.

Well.... I'm thinking what this war could mean for the entire series. Will this just be another arc... a major one... or would it be a finale: a major clash between the great powers. I'm hoping its the latter.

Maybe with this incident, Oda will introduce a whole slew of pirates. Meaning... the other yonkou will make appearances... conflicts and skirmishes will occur.

I hope this will be the beginning of the unveiling of the One Piece World.

yes, I felt that the thriller bark arc was the transition from part one of OP to part two. I think that this potential war will defiantly spark some major battles and pull some big characters out in to the open. I think instead of Luffy spending (our time) a year trying to beat one Shizukabai(wow so wrong), they will start to become slightly more rapid fire, at least in their battles.

I see this whole slave/nobles thing just exploding. Its luffy, obviously he is going to kick the ass of a noble he sees doing something he disagrees with.

Things are going to get wild, I really really like how this arc has started

as far as the story goes, the crew is an arc into the second half. I think now we'll see a lot more of the major pirates and marines come out. still i'm not sure how things will go from here, there so many options. I think a war would hurt the plot of the story for luffy becoming PK.

anyway, i really want to see luffy do damage and the legendary coater size him up and see if he thinks luffy has what it takes to be the PK like Roger was.

no...but it makes you wonder how someone like him can be captured like that. Maybe if he was a devil fruit user but it didn't seem like he was. If i had to guess i'd say he had to give himself up for someone or something else. Either that or some badass eventually took him out. maybe silvers willl shed some light on that

Thanks taka! Looks like a nice chapter. As expected, that gross noble wants to buy Caimie, but it isn't Zoro who will bash him but Luffy. Hope Luffy throws his non-killing policy overboard for once, they'll get into trouble anyway.

I don't think it's Luffy who has a non-killing policy. His fighting style is the one that does it. Also, some of the guys he fought so far should REALLY have died but for some reason the writer makes them live?

idk if Luffy's style is the problem with him "not killing" anyone. I don't really think Luffy is the type of person to kills someone, or even feels the need to go that far. Once someone is defeated, they're defeated. We're not going to see Lucci come back for another epic battle.

Basically, Luffy's abilities progress so fast that look... Blueno, Arlong, and maybe even Crocodile are nothing.

I never said he was. But look at the dude when he's fighting. He looked like he really wanted to kill Crocodile, Arlong, Lucci, for what they did to his nakama. Now whether they live after he's done, I don't think he'd want to kill them still but I also don't think he makes it a point to not kill.

Well... whether or not it's Luffy himself or Luffy's style, I'm going to have to agree with Thistle's point... In the series so far, Luffy has yet to actually kill anyone, and I hope he changes that with the Tenryuubito (sp?) because they most definitely deserve it.

NOOO HACCHI died ;[ just read this chapter.. i saw blood & soon a death!!!! ;[ ;[ ;[ ;[ hopefully luffy kills someone in this island. After this island it seems like the story will become more violent IMO.
