On the subject of Luffy needing a mentor...

sure, he's powerful. But, he's going to need to defeat an Admiral and other Yonkou. There has to be something that gets him to that point...

Looks like the auction is going to be interesting, and several potentially dangerous factors come into play: Kid is probably going to try to buy Caimie, so will the nobles, and both could get into conflict with the strawhats because of it. Zoro will probably meet that one noble again. And then there's the coating guy that the strawhats need, they will also try to free him. So this auction will be interesting, i bet that the strawhats will antagonize both the nobles and Kid in the following chapters.

I see what you're saying but when has luffy ever asked for help from another famous pirate to help him become PK? Its not his personality to ask for help or guidance. he makes his own decisons on how his journey will go and no matter how crazy it seems, his crew follows him. If anything, i'd think luffy would want to recruit him although i don't think that'll happen.
Also as far as the admirals go....yeah they're pretty strong but ever since luffy's encounter with Ao kiji he's been increasing his skills. Every fight we've seen something new so eventually he's going to be on par with the admirals.(if he's not already). He's probably not there yet though.

The auction already has some big name pirates waiting in the wings....i'm not sure if luffy will get there but i do see him and the coater meeting up now that he's likely rescuing camie. I wouldn't be surprised if a bidding war between law and kidd happened as well seeing as they're some animosity there. I wonder what they're at this island for though.

The chapter starts off with Garp. He is eating a Senbei

Garp: No, leave this to me... Tell no one. Not even to Sengoku! Convince your subordinates well! I've often heard of his reported sightings. --He probably lost in a large gamble and sold himself off. Despite him being an old man if we send minor soldiers at him, the navy will suffer unbelievable losses.
Garp: Now is an especially bad time... we cannot face to Legends at once
Subordinate: ...!!!

Auction Starts. Camie's sale is last.
And all the Mugiwaras are making towards Grove 1. Franky tries to blow the Auction House away but Nami stops him.

Nami: There are Tenryubito inside there as well! We can't touch them! I'm gonna get Camie back with their rules!!!

Thanks for the spoiler! Now Luffy should realize that he can't play around with mermaids when his brother is going to be executed. I think the strawhats will resuce Caimie and the coater guy, fight Kidd and then set off to rescue Ace, to return later.

Don't you think WB and his crew should get Ace back? i mean i know that's luffy's bro, but you'd think that being 2nd rank on newgate's ship they'd go to rescue him.

Just read 502 and its just like i thought, WB would take action against the marines if they try to kill Ace. Although i guess luffy could also join in.
