Before I make my prediction:

I just managed to catch up yesterday, and... Is it just because I read it all so fast, or is the story (even though we're at chapter 500), feel like it might only be reaching something like the half-way point? I mean, it feels like there's still so much left to do, and so much left unexplained...

As for my prediction:
I agree with KageNaruto that Zoro will screw up next chapter. That, combined with Luffy and co. destroying half the island in search of Camie will catch the marines attention, setting us up for a good fight.

OP is already running longer than the mangaka had planned, but at the moment it looks like we get more and more depth to the background, so i expect it to run for some time.

Caimie's rescue shouldn't take that long, the difficult part is finding her, but the flying fish riders should be able to do that. Her abductors don't look that strong.

More troublesome will be what Zoro is about to start...that disgusting nobleman deserves a pawning but that will bring the strawhats into the attention of the local authorities once more and it will make the search for that coating guy more difficult. And it looks like that female pirate could be a possible ally. One less adversary among the other crews.

its interesting...you have all those pirates and you'd think that they'd all start messing with each other but they seem to understand that creating any kind've disturbance would be bad, especially around the nobles. Just shows you how ridiculously strong the admirals are....although I think the Law crew would be the one crew other than luffy's to cause trouble. We'll see....

That's a good point, i remember when WB was talking to shanks about the old days and how he mentioned Garp. You'd think Garp would be right behind sengokou but he's still just vice admirial.

That's why I figured possibly the prejudice against marmaids and fishmen are still strong here.
