because first came the manga then there was the anime!!

Well, I've been reading the manga online for like a month now. I'm currently on volume 6. Anyways, I never got to watch season 1 of the anime, so I missed a whole lot. Between which is better... I like how the characters look in the manga, because they look a little weird in the anime, but the anime brings the characters to life, so... it's a tie?
