Rain came down in such a manner that it seemed that a river had been dropped on the area. And it was quite unusual for this part of the world to get such treatment from the elements. People preferred to stay indoors. A choice that would be applauded by any fool that roamed the streets, fields and plains during this rainstorm.

– What a downfall. It appears the elements understand what is about to occur here.–

Clad in a black coat all the way to the ground, the man practically disappeared into the pouring rain as he headed straight for the gate.

A voice rang out of a tiny little shed next to the gate. “Who goes there?”
Surprised he was even noticed, he turned his head in the direction of the sound and merely said “I need to find the shinobi academy. Could you point me in the direction?”

A shinobi, carrying the proud logo of the village, popped his head out of the reddish shed. “You’ll need to register your arrival though. I’ll gladly help you out afterwards.”

“As you wish.”

Five minutes later

“So the second street to the left and then straight ahead is the shinobi academy?”

The head nodded with eyes wide open, looking amazed.
The stranger gazed down the street and sighed at the time he would have to spend in the rain to reach the shinobi academy.

“Very well. Thank you for your assistance.”

He chucked down the head, which bounced off the table and disappeared behind the desk. The swipe of blood on the wall slowly crept down, serving as a nice warning sign for every newly graduated genin not to venture too close, unless they wanted to risk losing their lunch in the process.

– They really should place more capable people at the entry of their village. Dangerous people could just creep in if they wanted too –

Then, within a matter of seconds, parts of his body seemed to disappear until his entire body had gone up in smoke.

– She sure is taking her time –

There he stood, keeping track of whatever happened around the academy. His sleeves were deep into his pockets and his shoulders crept against his body, trying to find cover.

– Why’d we have to do this now? Sneaking around for the sake of not being found out. The more people see us, the more we can eliminate. -

Mentally, he had taken notes though. Three people went into the academy, giggling and screaming because they were getting wet. They were definitely not chuunin or jounin material. Those ranks of shinobi had learned the way of the shinobi and kept themselves composed – unless they were begging for their lives. And two shades jumped out of it. They were barely recognizable since they vanished in a burst of speed.

He knew that this probably meant that the academy only held a low number of actual instructors, since this was no time to train shinobi and the instructors could be used to carry out missions in the meantime.

– Looks like the coast is clear, seeing how there hasn’t been anyone around for the past ten minutes. –

Still under the cover of darkness and rain, the shinobi moved close to the building, making sure to avoid windows with light emanating from them, while searching for a way in that would not arouse any suspicion.

This is just a test of how things COULD go in the new system. I've added a map because I think that's the only fair way to make sure that people just don't "happen to be in the academy building" when you create a mission against another village.

Blue = buildings in the village
Grey = my char
your names = place where your char lives. Of course, if the shinobi are on their own mission / doing some training or whatever, they cannot just pop up in the mission either, they'd have to come in through the gates.

So anyone wishing to engage or defend against this attack, feel free to move your char (I'm currently thinking: genin: 3 squares per post / 5 if you shunshin, but if you shunshin, be aware of chakra loss before fights even get started)

If you post: add where your char is at that time (I might add in A-Z 1-9 to make char movement easier to follow).

The grounds were soaking wet, puddles gathered everywhere, and it was impossible to step anywhere without squishing the drenched earth which was still being pummeled with waterfalls of liquid. Luckily, no sane person loved this type of weather and - unless instructed otherwise - preferred the dry interior.

After inspecting the grounds from afar, the stranger noticed hardly any movement in and around the building. Two shades kept pacing the ground floor, passing each other at the the front door every thirty seconds. It apparently was quite a drag since they spent more time keeping themselves warm than paying attention to any possible dangers.

- hmmm, I can have some fun right here. If I time it correctly... -

When the two guarding shinobi passed out of view, he sprung into action. Sticking close to the wall next to the entrance, he quickly performed seals, while keeping an eye on when the guards would be passing.

- three, two, one -

He jumped into view as the two guards passed each other, complaining about the terrible cold the rain brought with it.

Suiton: Suijinheki

From every source of water nearby and above gathered a dragon that shot out to meet the two guards. Taken by surprise and barely able to distinguish the dark figure in the downfall, both were hit and thrown through the wall. The dragon managed to use the bodies of the two guards and its own mass and speed into a supporting beam, sending a shiver through the building.

He could now see straight through the building, while debris from the wall kept crumbling down.
- Bingo. That ought to cause enough of a ruckus in here to create some panic. Poor academy students, must be scared as hell right now... -

The stranger quickly retreated to his earlier position on top of the roof, so he could keep a close eye on whatever happened inside and outside of the konoha academy.
He placed his sleeves inside his pockets again and wriggled around a bit before standing completely still.

- Now... where... -

NPC: Momochi Seizo (Credits to Chance)
Rank: Chuunin

There was a dark cloud over the Konoha. Something was amiss... something was wrong. Seizo could feel the tension in the air, ominous and foreboding. It was definitely something unwelcome in the usually cheery village of Konoha. Seizo looked around at the deserted street. No one was there... he had to do something... he had to find out what was wrong. The black-haired boy moved swiftly but soundly through the streets. He was a chuunin now, no longer a mere genin. It was his duty to protect the village.

Maybe he was just overreacting... maybe nothing was wrong. Well, there was only one way to be sure.... he had to travel towards the direction of the Hokage's office. Maybe there, someone would give him some information about where to go, what to do. In the distance he heard a scream. There was definitely something out there, something that deterred all of the people away from the streets. Seizo knew there would be some people in the more populated areas of the town. THat's why he was heading towards the Hokage's Office.

Soon, he came to a house and perched on top of it, looking around. He knew not what to do, where to go. So, he decided to ask a passerby. There was a man with a redhead who was idly walking down the road. Seizo moved towards him and he raised an eyebrow. Upon asking the man, the redhead grew solemn. He shrugged a little and said that he had saw someone with a different headband by the academy. Seizo's eyes widened. The man said he saw the bodies of two guards that were outside of the... SHINOBI ACADEMY. Seizo knew this was an emergency and quickly shunshined away, alert and careful. In the distance, he thought he heard the crumbling of rock. Soon, he was right outside the Hokage's office. He had to catch his breath. He didn't like this, he didn't like it at all.

ONE BOX BELOW THE HOKAGE'S OFFICE. FIVE SPACES MOVED, SHUNSHIN USED.

The attack had done its job as teachers rushed out to assess the damage and help the two unconscious guards and several students came running into the yard.

- a broken bone or two could hinder their growth as a shinobi. Which one to choose, which one to choose -

He scanned the area for his specific target, cursing silently that he was not that easy to detect. That one explicit sign of the clan he was ordered to examine and abduct.

- Sagara Sanosuke. Lava user. Hmm, could come in handy. I'm sure she has her ways to make him listen. OoC: A borrowed char from the academy-

Running out in a fright, he caught his eye. He was more composed than the others, but obviously still just a rookie.

MIZU BUNSHIN no jutsu

The bunshin immediately shot off into the field outside of the academy, hurling his right knee into the poor academy student's face, rendering him unconscious in an instant. He then proceeded to grab the academy student amidst the panicky academy students and shunshined back alongside the stranger.

- This was easier than I thought -

Turning their backs to the academy, they hopped several buildings on their way out of the village again.

OoC: (i'm not making this too elaborate, just keeping the story going)
I'm now at 2 squares below the square I was, north-east of Remz' position.

The boy continued to shunshin, until he was right by the academy. It was time for preparations. The boy took several explosive tags and wrapped them around some wire. Then, he attached the wire to a kunai and placed it in his pocked. Next, he took out several smoke bombs and got ready to use them. He could hear more distinct screamings from the academy. This would be rough. He took his Zanbato and got it in a ready position and got ready to head for the academy. Slowly, water began dripping down from the gourd on his back.

A crack of splintering wood was heard above the muffling sounds of rainfall. In the dark, a girl's hand pulled the sheets from her bed. It groped outward, searching for something. A match flickered to life, casting shadows across the near-barren room. The match was shaken out quickly after it had lit a small lamp, which now provided just enough light to illuminate the tiny room.

Yami sat on her knees in bed, her now long, black hair covering the tattooed side of her face. She tossed the extinguished match to the floor carelessly. It bounced once before falling onto a pile of similar burnt out matches. She rolled off the bed, stretching her legs. She noted how long they were now. She was now almost fifteen, though she had no way of knowing it.

The girl rose slowly, parting a thick curtain that covered a small window. She looked out in the direction she believed the crash had come from, but could see nothing through through torrential rain. She sighed. She was in no mood for this.

Though she had no desire to investigate the crash any further, or to do much of anything, really, her instinct drove her to retrieve the thin kaiken hidden below her bed. She cracked her door open slowly, stepping out onto a narrow walkway between her apartment and the street. She could feel the rainwater running around her bare feet, and she realized that she was still wearing only a thin nightgown.

"As if it matters anyway..."

OOC: staying where I am, but you won't be able to move through my block freely.

Well, well, it seems at least someone noticed my presence here.

Mutsuu stared straight into the eyes of his opponent.

The other Mutsuu, carrying the unconscious boy over his shoulder, nodded in agreement while the rain kept pouring down, practically turning the floor into a swimming pool.

He felt confident, not even removing the sleeves from his pockets.

Tell me your name boy. It's always more fun if you can brag afterwards who you've defeated.

Its past the hour anyone with any sense is awake and his devil horns were searing and pulsating on his skull again... which they did frequently now in the worst hours of night and most depressing of weather when all he wanted was to sleep. Most likely that's why they gave him guard duty on the horrible nights... when most other guards might find the temptation to daze off thinking nothing would happen.

They must be rotating on his head now like little drills... trying to etch through his skull to reach his mind and whisper dreams of illusion into it...

Unfortunately the horns were beginning to show their true color and also showed him horrifying and shocking false images as well... He couldn't tell if the current image was false or not... more and more they lied to him... these living gifts his father had found on a trip to a small deserted temple of an unknown religion in the vastlands and implanted on his skull were eating at his sanity

He wanted to hack them off.. to hear them scream...

They deserved to die for showing him this current image of his young brother being charted out of the village by... a werewolf? what the ****...

Of course hacking them off would kill him in the process... all the heretic monks at the vastland temple were found with saws in their hand's and blood on their fleshless scalps... it escaped him as to why his father thought he and his young brother were mentally stronger then these monks and could handle the horns that now must be melting his flesh away from the friction of the high-speed revolving... and why his father would even think that these horns the monks strived to get would even be desirable... and why the bastard didn't try them on himself first...

Wiping the blood out of his eyes that was starting to creep out of his hairline the chunnin left his post in the biting wind in front of the hokage office and started heading towards the location of the second vision sighting which probably wasn't even there... after going three blocks west he had to dive into the dirt and roll a couple times in disarray to dodge a barrage kunai thrown by a homeless person in the shadows that his second-sight saw which of course never came... looking down the road from the mud of the road he could see a person running... but it wasn't a werewolf...

The Chunnin grimaced in frustration then got up and headed towards the running man to see if he could be of assistance. On a positive at least the rain was keeping the blood casually leaking from his hairline from being a hamper to his cherished "first" sight.

A voice came out from the shadows and Seizo swiveled around and smiled. Quickly, he kept a close watch on the opponent and threw up the kunai with wire and explosive tags. It made a large explosion in the sky. That was to attract attention to the situation. Then, quickly, he threw down several smoke bombs at the feet of the opponent and jumped back forming seals.

Suiton: Koku no Jutsu

A black cloud gathered above the smoky area where the enemy was and dripped black oil downwards.

Seizo substituted with a piece of wood behind the smoke and got ready a match... BOOM?

Seeing the kunai fly up in the air, Mutsuu grinned.

Not a big fan of talk, are we?

Mutsuu felt a bit sad since he wouldn't have the time to taunt his enemy, like he loved to do so dearly.

The smokebombs hit fast and hard, clogging up the area between him and his taciturn opponent.

- hmmm, to the point and immediately gunning for his own strategy without giving me the chance to have some fun -

Oh well, here we go, boy'o. Better get your diaper out.

From behind the smoke clouds, Mutsuu prepared his retaliation.

Two shapes came hurling out of the smoke clouds, both having the appearance of the young boy Mutsuu had held captive. The two bodies flew motionless, face to the ground, through the air. They were both coming for the position where the opponent stood, right before the smoke troubled his view. They would hit him in the ribcage-region if Mutsuu had been lucky.

- Now, let's have some fun...-

OoC: each one would hit oip's char in the ribcage region with their shoulder.

The left one, from Mutsuu's point of view, is the Mizu bunshin henge'd into that academy kid. The right one... is the academy kid.

Mutsuu himself does not engage, he jumps back one square -back towards the academy-, ready to taunt the boy, waiting with his sleeves in his pockets, while the coat flaps in the wind, concealing his hands beneath it. The sleeves actually do not contain any arms, it's just a trick to make it seem as if he is not preparing anything.

OoC: I'm putting this all in spoiler tags, since Oip cannot see me behind the smoke screen anyway >_>)

the light of the explosions was too much for his migraine and the chunnin fell back down to his knees, rubbing his temples with shaky fingers in a clockwise motion he continued to wince as his eyes struggled to readjust to the night as the explosion had turned everything pitch black... he fumbled with his pack and pulled out a painkilling pill, swallowed it and tried to wash it down with some brackish rainwater that had collected in little dirty pools on the ground to try to save his stomach lining... of course food would be much better but that, of course, was not on hand.

He stayed there in that dormant position in the center of the gloomy street before finally getting up, withdrawing his katana, and heading towards the situation yelling at the top f his lungs for people to stay inside.

As he dashed up the street to the disturbance trying to keep people from coming outside into harms danger he spotted a girl only a few years younger then himself in a nightgown to his left... her developing figure stood out well in it and nothing was really left to the imagination.

Cursed Second sight kicks in

Apparently his devil horns see that he is, sometime during the course of this night, going to get busy with the girl in one of those fancy hotel suites with the candies on the pillows... he attempts to shake the image out of his head and focus on the catastrophe up ahead but its too telling... to gripping... he can't even keep yelling to people to go inside.... tongue-tied and his mind twisted he ends up tumbling once again head over heels onto the dirty road. Pain shocks him despite the powerful painkiller.

At least the vision is gone...

Peering over to the young and sullenly defiant faced girl he asks her to put her weapon away and go back inside, that she should leave the situation at hand to konoha's respective forces... she doesn't seem the type to listen but he hopes she can think twice and leave this issue to him and the other chunnin guards of the night. Shaking off a limp from the rough fall he continues the remaining blocks towards the fight... he sees a children that are definitely not his brother flying through the air ahead of him... he decides to pick up his stumbling pace and shunshins forward... still not sure what's going on and who's on his side in the abysmal weather

Huh?

*Sitting on the edge of a particularly high roof, a dark figure slowly raised his head as a bright light flared up in the near distance. He was waiting for the sign to appear, and this was surely it. Raindrops trickled down his pale face like morning dew on a leaf. Glancing down at the street below, a calming flutter became momentarily audible in the midst of the constant pounding of the rain, as the figure jumped down on the street. His feet made a low splash as he landed on the ground, and after standing completely silent for a moment, a large grin came over his face as he marveled his own stealthiness*

Don't get in too much trouble, Matsuu

*The figure breathed silently under the large collar covering his neck and mouth. A piece of paper danced beneath his feet as he disappeared from the street*

Yami peered out into the night, the rainy mist making it difficult to see much of anything, even though her eyes were well adjusted to the dark. The crackling sound of fire was heard as a flickering light was cast over the block for a moment. She could see the remnants of the fire burn out as they fell to earth. A signal most likely. Closer than she would like it to be.

She was tempted to just go back to bed and hope for the best. She was still in no mood for this. Before she could decide what she should really do, however, she presented with a more difficult choice.

The sound of footsteps splashing water about approached. Yami turned to see who it might be that was coming her way, but she couldn't make out the figure until it was close enough that it might have killed her if it had been an enemy.

It wasn't an enemy however, but a slightly older boy, apparently having difficulty of some sort, as he stumbled and fell in the street as he was passing. A chuunin of this village. He looked up and told the girl to go back inside and wait, revealing a set of horns upon his head as he did so.

Yami ran a hand through her hair.

"Am I dreaming again?"

The boy had moved off in the direction of the fire before she could make any sensible response, and now she worked on instinct alone again.

She quickly moved back inside and took three knives from a drawer, not having any place to store them on her person meant she couldn't carry many. She stepped out into the street, looking in the direction the boy had gone.

She moved after him as silently as possible given the conditions, drenched instantly buy the rainfall. Perhaps it wasn't the best time to be wearing white.

Jaken Ketsueki walked towards the shinobi academy, the night smelled good and he was eager to be on his way. Though it was cold he wore little more then a sleeveless black shirt and pants, exposing his scarred and muscled forearms. He clutched a long spear in his right hand, the other hung empty by his side. He walked towards the gate letting out a soft cry to the guardsman letting them know who he was and why he was there. He got no reply.

Jaken: cheeky bastards, would it kill them to talk a little, every night it’s the same, “fear not citizen your gate is safe” crap, don’t they know I could kill them in a second!

As he rounded the corner and the wall of the academy came in sight he saw the hole in the academy side wrought by some fearsome force and the corpses of both guardsmen, he heard shouts and saw smoke coming from the academy.

Jaken: Whatever force could cause this amount of damage is probably far to much for me alone, and with little blood in my arsenal there is not much I can do.

He glanced at the body’s and checked them for a pulse, both were dead. He dragged them into an alley and removed two items, his gal’ran a set of hooked knives that would cause long bleeding cuts and a sealed scroll. He ripped the shirts off bothbodys and quickly went to work with the cruel knives cutting along the veins until much of their blood seeped from their corpses. When the small alley ran red he unrolled the scroll and laid it upon the ground.

He stood back and formed a few seals

Jukan: Ketsueki Nomiono no jutsu

He let out a long piercing scream which carried his chakra, the blood was called from the corpses open veins and flew through the air in a bloody mist, which was then swept into the scroll and disappeared.

Now that he had what he needed, Jaken leapt atop the building and waited for the noise of violence to attract other ninja, when there where a few more he would attempt to attack whatever was rampaging through the academy, but until then he would wait and watch.

OOC: I’m a chuunin and I figure this is fairly non intrusive time modding explaining wehat I was doing during the rest of you peoples posts. I am one square down and to the left of the academy. I figure since my house isn’t listed there I might as well be able to come through the gate

Seizo threw the match and it ignited the flammable black oil that was in the air. With a powerful explosion, the entire floor shook, it could easily destroy any unfortunate intruder that might have been around the cloud of smoke. Seizo was now behind the cloud and could see where the opponent was. It would definitely hurt this unlucky shinobi. The chuunin smiled to himself and formed several seals. If the opponent was lucky and escaped, a fang of water would finish him, for sure? Meanwhile, the bodies flew and hit a piece of wood on the other side of the smoke.

His opponent was quicker than he had anticipated. While trying to put some distance between him and his opponent, the blast caught him off guard. The force drove him down into the roof of the building he was already aiming for, drawing a nice line into the brick with his back.

Gha! Baaka. I'm the intruder here, it's my job to tear this place apart. Not yours!

Slowly he got up, still standing unperturbed as his coat flickered through the wind and rain.

Wow, you're a nasty one, aren't you? Even letting your own comrade get a facial on the roof...But I'll hand it to you... I don't know how you did it, but nice job on avoiding those two bodies...

The wind and rain kept tugging at his coat, flailing wildly in the wind.

My turn!

Mutsuu gathered chakra in his legs and prepared his jutsu to retaliate.

In the meantime, while the explosion went off, the mizu bunshin performed a diving roll after hitting the wooden board (OoC: checked whether it would disperse and the answer was no). Realizing that the opponent had disappeared, it turned to check the situation.
Seeing that his opponent was now facing the real Mutsuu, who was standing even further away, the bunshin prepared a jutsu and jumped towards the enemy's backside, taking advantage of the rain and wind to jump without being heard.

- Suiro no Jutsu - (OoC: thought bubble from the mizu bunshin >_>)

Mutsuu grabbed an explosive tag in one hand and a kunai in the other and prepared to shunshin to his opponent's area.

Edit: just to sketch: My bunshin is in the spot you were in, you are in the spot I was in, and my real person is a roof away, with you staring at my real me apparently

*Sensing the girl running behind him the unnamed chunnin blushed red-hot and cursed her silently... and as he put his hands into seal mid-stride to create a kage bunshin he yelled back at her flustered~~

"Fine then! just stay out of my way!"

the created kage bunshins which immediately shunshined over to a dark sheltered nook by a building overlooking the academy.

Then the chunnin threw his hands into another set of seals and started to phase into the ground for the underground fish technique... but not before yelling a warning to the guy he could now identify as a comrade about to get stabbed in the back to watch his... back...

The Kage bunshin created a earth clone within the gloomy corner then set his palms against each other with hands extending opposite directions and fingers bent before thinking to itself

-orobo bunshin no jutsu-

*meanwhile the kage bunshins earth clone took out a fuzzy blanket strapped to his back and held it against him and the kage bunshin: then channelling chakra into it he preformed the imfamous E-rank jutsu of current village hero Konohamaru "kakuremino no jutsu" . The blanket quickly lost its colour and in fact made the two touching it invisible along with it so that only the kage bunshins despicable searching eyes, above the blanket, could be seen.

It was obvious the chunnin was an old pro at this combo for as the kage bunshin finished the orobo bunshin jutsu he came back up... and when him came eleven others like him as well as four yami's which stayed by the real yami. The eleven like him comprised a 3x4 formation and ran towards the misu bunshin with katana's ready.

The Whirling of the horns made the group sound like a bunch of angry bees having their colony attacked.

Yami froze immediately as the boy's words reached her ears.

"Stay out of your way?"

Of course, ignoring your possible teammates and rushing into battle before you know what the opposition is is always the first step to winning a fight. Yami hung her head for a moment, somehow dismayed that the boy had immediately discarded her as useless.

"Guess he can handle it himself then..."

With this, Yami went back home and went to bed.

OOC: lol, back at my start block. Roy can still use his Yami bunshins, but I'm gone. edit: mega short post, but oh well.

*Another explosion sounded virtually in front of Kaze as his pale face was momentarily illuminated in the merciless rain. Fuzzy figures could be seen once more down the street, but now there were three instead of two. At least one of them was Matsuu, but Kaze could not account for the other two. Whoever they were, he felt that Matsuu was able enough to handle them on his own. Slowly standing up, he breathed in the crisp night air, and began walking up the academy stairs*

SFX : Creeek

*The large doors slowly came to a halt as his hand pushed them open with ease. Lights illuminated the academy halls, but no signs of life were present, at least none he could see. Walking down the large hall, water dripped down from Katsu's clothes, making instant contact with the ground and sending a tiny echo down the hallway*

*Stopping in his tracks, Katsu's calm eyes eagerly turned to the door to his left. The water dripping from his coat indicated that he had stopped, making a monotonous clack in the same spot on the floor. Edging closer to the door, the his pale face was inches away from the door as his hand grasped the door handle and the wooden portal slowly opened. The light from the hallway entered the dark classroom, creating a monstrous shadow on the parquet under his feet*

SFX : THUNDER !!

*A loud bang filled his ears as lightning struck in the skies above, illuminating the room for a brief instance*

*A smile drew itself on Katsu's hidden mouth, as he noticed three figures, each hiding under a desk in the far left corner of the room*

*Katsu's voice roared over the pounding of the rain as he flipped the light switch, dispersing light throughout the entire room and making the kids entirely visible*

P...please mister, don't hurt us

*A light skinned boy stood up from under the desk, his short dark hair making him seem like a porcupine. Obviously trembling, the kid's teeth made a rattling noise as his jaw closed shut. Staring straight into his eyes, Katsu approached the boy, looking down at him as if he were a mountain next to a hill*

What are you doing Shogi !?
You'll get us in trouble !

*Two voices, one of a girl and one of a boy, now clearly audible, addressed the boy, whose name was apparently Shogi, which is similar to Yogi.*

Hmphh!!

*The water dripping from Katu's chin hit the boy on the top of the head. Silent sobs began to be heard from under his nose, as he lifted up his teary face up toward Katsu*

*mumbling* .... AHH !!

*Katsu grabbed the kid by the collar and lifted him off the safety of the floor*

You're coming with me

*Momentarily shooting his gaze at the two under the desk, Katsu exclaimed in a voice that petrified the kids*

If you come after me.... I'll kill you

*He turned around and began walking out the door, dragging the kid behind him*

While he waited for more ninja to arrive Jaken removed another scroll from his pack, this one sealed with wax. He broke the seal and unrolled it; his handlers had given it to him a week or so ago and he was told to open it tonight when he was in the village.

We have received intelligence that the village you are currently operating in will soon come under attack by outside forces. We presume it will be led by a jounin and may contain just that ninja or a whole squad. Your mission is simple, ensure maximum casualties on both sides. Your number one priority is the death of the jounin leading the attack. You number two priority is that you remain undetected. Your number three priority is to inflict as much damage on the defenders as possible without revealing yourself or endangering the first objective.

He was interrupted from his reading by the shrill humming in the air, a horde of ninja were running 3 abreast down the street and towards the academy some sporting scything horns, others seemed to be young girls. He watched the horde move out and in its wake he saw a young girl, identical to those in the horde, walk back into a house.

Jaken: I think I’ll let the other ninja battle themselves to a standstill while I take care of this easy prey

He silently moved to the doorway he had seen her enter and took the scroll into which he had placed the blood. He rubbed out to small sections of the seal, and avisous red blood began too ooze from those points. He drageed the sroll across the ground creating a broken distorted trail from about 30 feet up the doorstep to the girls door. Then he removed two knives and stabbed himself in two places in the chest, releasing his own blood into the mix. He stood on her door step spilling the blood while he reformed the deal and placed the scroll back in his pack.

Then he let out a piercing scream the sliced through the night air, and began beating on the door

Jaken: Oh god! The academy is burning! The pain oh god the pain! They’re killing all the students, we’re all going to die! Someone help oh god help!

While he shouted this he formed some seals and began to channel chakra out of his body and through the blood he had left on her porch. When he was finished he muttered underneath his breath

Jaken: Ketsueki Kansai

He drew a hari from its sheath and held it in one hand which he clutched to his wound.He used the other hand to drag himself away from the doorstep, leaving two bloody lines in his wake.

OOC: the majority of the blood is not mine and is from the scroll and the two dead guards. i think i will have neded up one square above remz's start or inside oh his start, not quite sure what the scale is.

the effect of my jutsu is that should anyone walk between or near the lines the blood will form into two bands of blood and begin to bind them, while not especially strong it is very quick

The sound of harsh screaming and banging on her door interrupted Yami just as she had finished changing from her soaked gown to a dry one. The pounding of fists against the thin door was more frightening than anything, as it seemed that it might break under the pressure.

"Of course, let's answer the door for a screaming stranger in the middle of the night while the village is being attacked..."

She was slow to respond the screaming, again taking up the three knives she had taken out early and moving to the door slowly. She cracked it open just wide enough to peer outside into the rain, careful to keep her knives out of sight. Her eyes slowly crept up along the trails of blood in the street, watching the one be washed away by the rainwater as the other remained in place.

Eventually her eyes met the sight of a bleeding shinobi across the street, shivering in the cold. She didn't have many options. Slowly, she waved for him to come inside, and retreated back into the house before he could respond. She left the door cracked slightly so that he could enter easily, but the rain wouldn't get inside.

Yami drops two of her knives behind the door as she enters, attaching chakra strings to each. They could make for a helpful suprise attack.

Yami reclines in a chair opposite the door with the bed to her right, unarmed now, waiting patiently for her guest to appear.

Yami's kaiken is behind the chair where she can grab it quickly, and the rest of her arsenal is under her bed, to her right.

Jaken: thank you kind stranger! Thought: (for the blood I’ll drain from your corpse)

When the girl ducked out of sight he removed the blood scroll and tucked it under his shirt then began crawling to the girls doorstep. Once there he scratched a large hole in the seal with the hand he held clutched to is superficial wounds so that blood came pouring out. It began to puddle around him and then flow under the door and down the doorstep. He formed another few signs under his chest and whispered the words

Jaken: Ketsueki testu

His chakra flowed into the large pool of blood and began to gather the platelet’s and iron into small parts of it which could form small tendrils. He made four of these tendrils that could launch themselves from the pool of blood at need be. As it continued to flow under the doorstep he sent two of the tendrils mixed in with the pool of blood under the door. The others remained with him ready to defend him or attack if need be.

Jaken: thought: can’t believe I’m wasting ll this blood on one little girl, oh well I’ll probably get more back from ,killing her

sadly Jaken was unsure of her position and so was unable to attack with the tendrils. He decided to try and talk to her again hoping to either make her come out or elicit a response. If he either saw or heard her the tendrils inside the doorway would strike at the presumed location, their sharpened tips boring a hole in her flesh. If she came through the doorway he would attack with all four two from the front two from behind.

Jaken: oh god its getting so cold, I can’t feel my legs anymore. Its getting dark I can’t see anyone, please don’t leave!

Yami sighed as she watched the blood ooze in through the door.

"That's not suspicious at all given that only one blood trail outside was washed away... and I'll have to clean the floors now.

One of the knives behind the door crept up to the top so that it was above the stranger outside, but still out of sight. Yami positioned it so that she could attack the stranger from above and behind with it, even if he remained still

Yami rolled her head along the back of her chair.

"Are you coming in or not?"

Seizo took out his Zanbato and water began to trickle out of the gourd that was hanging across his back. Seizo's water fang shot out at the intruder that he was facing while someone warned him of something behind him, giving him time to form two sets of seals. One was for a mizu bunshin, which came behind him to meet the enemie's bunshin. The other sets of seals allowed him to slowly disappear as roots began appearing behind the intruder. Was it... genjutsu? Yes it was, it was tree bind death, and Seizo was practically out of chakra. He hoped this would work, or else there would be trouble.

Now, he has to deal with genjutsu and a water fang while my mizu-bunshin battling the other mizubunshin. I'm practically out of chakra.

The clone kept closing in on his opponent as he shot out a water fang towards the real Mutsuu. Just as he was about to reach his target, a mizu bunshin came out of the ground, prepared to deal with him before he could terminate the target from becoming too troublesome.
Seeing how the mizu bunshin could become a bother, the Mutsuu-clone ran into a sliding kick, to prevent the mizu bunshin from forming completely, while maintaining his seal to complete the Suiro no jutsu (OoC: I checked Kisame's Mizu Bunshin. His three bunshins come out of a lake, and do not form immediately either, so I guess a chuunin's bunshin would take at least that time too).

In the meantime, the real Mutsuu noticed a water fang heading his way that could make it quite bothersome for him.
- Water Fang huh? Seems you might have underestimated the distance between us...I'm not going to wait for it to reach me though.-

SHUNSHIN NO JUTSU

Mutsuu shot forward, kicking up a few tiles he had dislocated when the blast forced him down. He reappeared a bit in front and to the side of his opponent, avoiding the water blast shooting at his position, while the fast-paced boy had just finished his set of seals that forced a water bunshin to arise.

-Hmm, doing seals while holding an zanbato, he's a bit overzealous it would seem -

Mutsuu taunted his opponent by appearing so close and immediately jumped back a bit with a tiny hop, to distance himself from his target and because he noticed a small army trying to take out his mizu bunshin from behind. (OoC: Vrr, since you didn't really specify where you were coming from, I made your "crew" come from the end of the roof, out of sight of my bunshin)

While jumping back a bit, Mutsuu dropped the explosive tag - starting to burn - from underneath his coat, at the feet of his opponent with the tiny hop serving as a visual distraction from the explosive tag. The explosive tag was timed to go off immediately after the mizu bunshin succeeded in trapping his opponent.

- Nice effort though. With a little bit of patience, a haircut and a few lessons in battle deviousness, this one could've helped our cause quite nicely -

Mutsuu prepared another jutsu as he wanted to make sure he was ready for anything

Preparing Hiding Mist technique with quite a lot of chakra involved to obstruct any vision - i.e. dense mist because of the chakra poured into it - around the roof over the area of his opponent / his own bunshin and a bit beyond, to make sure that his opponent + the storming flock of attackers would not see him as they approached.

OoC: I've only placed my preparations for the following post between spoiler tags, although I also could've spoilered the explosive tag. Just trying to see whether people can remain honest to their char when seeing information they shouldn't be allowed to see in the real battle.

The girl the Chunnin left the orobo's started to stop and turn back thankfully... although strangely his automatic reaction was to reach out with the yami orobo's she was with and convince her to stay. The group eyed her delicate back, hands frozen in mid-air, for a moment before finally dropping them back to their sides as the chunnin kago bunshin overseer half-heartedly acknowledged her wise decision. The three said in chorus "that's the right choice" as they phased into the ground to be used elsewhere.

Meanwhile, before the real chunnin and his eleven seemingly substance clone army was the exposed back of an enemy which had made quick work of his allies forming defense, his ally just ahead of the clone, and a copy of the enemy was to the devil-boy's left having a stare-down of sorts with his ally... They sheathed their katana's midstride and pulled out kunai, two in each hand.

the first row of three (123) slide on the roof and threw their right hand kunai at the his allies imsu bunshin's assassins legs to keep him from moving

They threw the kuai in their left hand simultaneously at the clone enemy to their left

4 threw just to the left of the real enemies hips

Third row (789) stayed standing just behind second row and did the same procedure towards the upper chest with the kunai's in their right hand

7 threw just to the left of the misu bunshins shoulders

They threw the kuai in their left hand simultaneously at the clone enemy to their left

The final row (10,11,12) jumped up just behind the third row to unleash their kunai's to limit the enemies escape into the air

Meanwhile, four devil-boys began to phase out of the ground around the enemies, hands locked in seal, staring hellishly at the enemies and yearning to get their katana's out once they were finsihed "phasing"

Together they the four kept screaming a droning unison chant at the top of their lunges!

"Right here and Now! Ill Kill you! Dice You! Right here and Now your Trapped! Cut You! Eat You!"

and so on and so forth!

*Stepping out into the hallway, Katsu could feel the kid "playing dead" as if to make Katsu work harder by dragging his light body along the floor. Most of the rainwater had now dripped off the jounin's clothes, and the echoing stopped. Only the pounding of the rain on the Academy roof disturbed the perfect silence engulfing the two. Walking past the Academy entrance, Katsu proceeded to the other end of the hallway with the kid still playing dead by his side*

Where is he? He was supposed to be here already... I swear if he doesn't show up in the next few minutes I'll have to use THAT and he sure as hell won't like it...

*Katsu thought to himself as he dropped the boy on the floor halfway past the entrance and took out two scrolls from his pouch under the cape. Leaning up against the wall, he began counting silently while scanning the surroundings with his eyes*

The words ring out from straight ahead and immediately the blood tendrils erupt from the pool, stabbing their pointed iron and scab heads directly at the source of the sound. Jaken begins to rise to his feet though still crouched and drops the scroll spurting blood on the floor. He holds a hari in one hand and draws a kunai with the other. One of the remaining tendrils dives under the door hoping to pinpoint its target from the reactions of the girl to the other two, the fourth remains hovering behind Jaken’s head ready to lunge unseen from behind him at any threat daring to enter his field of vision.

OOC: i got caught up with some stuff and won't be able to rp for a week or so. You can go back and look at my spoilers. I believe it's safe to say that I kill you with the floating knife as soon as 'the blood tendrils erupt from the pool'.

Knife wound at the base of your neck, where the spinal cord enters the head. fairly ensured kill. get a third party to confirm it if you like. Anyway, you guys can finish up without me.

OoC: You destroyed my clone, and your clone is coming to trap me in the water prison. I shunsined away while my genjutsu took effect on you. The explosion should destroy your bunshin... maybe?

Seizo grinned. It was too late. Sure, the enemy had dodged his waterfang, but now was trapped in a genjutsu. The tree bind death technique allowed the illusion of a tree wrapping him tightly come from the ground. It affected the opponent's senses. It was a classic technique and he knew it was the last of his chakra.

Mutsuu's Perception
Seizo had unsuccessfully used the water fang and suddenly a tree wrapped around his body and grasped him tightly (OOC: Only if you take the damage instead of escaping the jutsu).

The explosive tag fired off and Seizo was directly behind his opponent with two quick shunshins. The genjutsu would hopefully prevent the intruder from moving away. He shunshined away as fast as he could as the illusionary tree would hopefully do its damage.

OOC: I gave you a post to respond to my genjutsu... your trapped. :p (unless there is something about it in the spoiler).

Noticing the opponent do everything he could to get out of his predicament, Mutsuu continued his own jutsu after realizing that the pain was forthcoming if he didn't do something.

His mizu bunshin was doing his job and had served its purpose, trapping the opponent in the water prison. It would go out with a bang, giving the water a nice reddish colour, the way god had intended water to be.

As the explosion - amplified by the water - terminated the fighting capabilities of his first opponent, Mutsuu called forth his Hiding Mist, pushing quite some chakra into it, making visibility virtually non-existent beyond one meter.

- Next! -

Jumping back a bit, trying to jump off the ledge of the building, Mutsuu put his arms in front of his body, with his fists covering his face.

Depending whether it was a hit =>

- Bastard, that hurt! -

Crashing into the ground, Mutsuu immediately felt the sting of the kunai entering his body and grabbed the area where it had penetrated, trying to prevent from leaving too much blood behind as he hurried down to the academy, troubled by his wound.

Mutsuu praised the gods and ran down the street, straight for the academy, hoping the Hiding mist would make people wary that he was still amongst them.

The kage bunshin overseer looked over the situation with searching eyes... there was nothing he could do

As hidden mist, enveloped the area before he could even see the kunai land the a simple hellspwan child within the swarm thrust his hand to the ground and summoned a nin-dog as the other's stood around like lifeless shells. however as the nin-dog appeared they echoed out the user's frustration with him. screaming his frustration as he handed the nindog a sponge.

"I WONT LET YOU PULL THE WOOL OVER MY EYES!"

*The nin-dog spoke entered the fog for a few moments then came back out with a very bloody sponge, probably from important arteries being severed. He spat them onto the ground and spokehis report.

"he's gone,but he sustained what seems to be a fairly serious injury, the ally is still there but in morbid enough condition to most certainly be dead... sponge will probably retain moisture for about one hour"

The Nin-dog went away in a puff of smoke

The devil boy army spoke in a respectful tone as the real one put the sponge in his pouch and the headband around his neck.

"you have our respect comrade! We'll be back to bury your body later!"

*With that, the devil boy headed with his 15 allies of the mist and off the building onto the ground in a spread-out formation... towards the child that hit the wood block's body to see if he was still alive.

*A Couple second sight visions flashed through his mind

OoC1: Matsuu sustained a kunai in each wrist from a fairly close distance: making his hands essentially useless

OoC2: No abusive counter time-modding allowed :p... enjoy your reunion with squad leader you failed, gibbled, chunnin!!

OoC3: the reason im saying there woud be a decent amount of blood is cause 1. lots of blood would leave the arteries from duel wrist destruction and 2. your hands would be mostly if not completely useless... not to mention its physically impossible to clutch both injuries in such places yourself to stop the bleeding to any decent degree anyway.

*Katsu's eyes suddenly focused on a spot on the wall opposite him as he unrolled the scrolls in his hands and directed them toward the spot he was looking at. The scrolls suddenly began emitting a white smoke as a figure appeared in the hallway between Katsu and the wall. The kid laying next to the jounin lifted his head and starred in amazement at what just happened before him*

*Matsuu said out loud as he extended his hands towards Katsu, almost like he was trying to smear some blood on him. Katsu's neutral expression showed that he didn't care much for Matsuu's antics, but he was his teammate and as the leader he shouldn't have been so careless as to let the Chuunin complete the mission on his own, especially in Konoha*

Don't worry, we'll get you healed up... I've got the kid, let's get out of here

*Katsu picked up the startled kid by the collar again and motioned for Matsuu to follow him*

They have him...

*Matsuu said in a low voice while tending to his wounds. Katsu stopped in his tracks and turned around, signaling for the Chuunin to go on*

There were too many of them... I managed to get rid of one, but there were at least 10 more on my ass.... I didn't expect the guy to let the kid just fly by !!!

Then who the hell is this ?

*Katsu picked up the kid so red hair was visible in the hallway light. Matsuu just shrugged without even looking up*

Some academy kid... the Lava kid is still out there, probably under heavy guard by now... What are we gunna do ?

*Katsu dropped the kid on the floor as rage began flowing through his blood, but he quickly took control of himself and walked up to Matsuu, who now had a small puddle of blood forming around him*

First we gotta get you to a safe place... I'll get the kid...

*The jounin helped the chuunin into a nearby empty room and quickly formed KB to guard the wounded comrade*

Where was the last place you saw the kid??

On the roof... about two or three blocks from here... Aghhh

*Matsuu clutched his bleeding wrists as the KB began wrapping them in pieces of cloth torn off from his cape*

OoC : I took Matsuu in room number 113. The room numbers are even on the far side of the hallway and odd on the near side. Increasing from left to right.

*Seeing the assailant disappear and their real self leaving range towards the Hokage office the kage and earth clone ended their respective low chakra consuming jutsu's. Together they headed out to where the enemy disappeared to try to figure out what happened... Yet the Devil Boy Kage knew he was still 35% of the Devil Boy's chakra so as was Devil Boy's usual strategy of handling shadow clones the Kage was careful and stayed to the shadows of the perimeter... trying to continue to seer over the situation and stand guard while the Earth Bunshin moved into the open and investigated the scene: looking for information for the kage seer to take in.

They found nothing

*The devil boy found the kid still in the street with partially washed away evidence of throwing up diluted beside him: testament to a hard hit which had probably knocked his inner ear out of whack. Nonetheless now he looked okay more or less... just beat up unsure where he was as he rubbed his eyes tenderly... wincing at the sight of an unknown pale man resembling the spawn of hell. His mouth started to open in preparation of an instinctual scream after what he'd been through and his chipped teeth were exposed...

He was pitiful...

and he was knocked out again. A quick tap to the jaw was all that was required.

*Hoisting the Kid over his shoulder he shunshin'ed over to the Hokage office... the kid was already stirring again

*Matsuu managed to squeeze a few words out of him because of the excruciating pain shooting though his wrists. The KB reached into the Chuunin's back pocket and took out a small round object. Matsuu motioned with his head and the KB placed it in the chuunin's mouth.*

Ahh much better !! *The pain began to be subdued by the pill and Matsuu relaxed a little bit. Turning his head to the kid, he asked in a semi-sarcastic tone* So what's your story ?

*A loud cry pierced through the pounding of the rain. A small, dark figure, ran through the streets where Matsuu just came from. Her eyes running wildly around the area, her eyes told tales of terrible agony. The rain began to wash off here blood soaked clothes as a streak of red appeared under her feet*

*Suddenly the girl tripped on a rock and face planted into the muddy ground. Still sobbing and crying*

The Kage Overseer was not amused by the prospect that the enemy could still be able to possess enough power to do this kinda damage or that there were additional enemies... the academy needed a proper team to clear it out quickly

*The Clone stood there a few moments engaged in a stupid staring contest with the screaming paralyzed girl before finally going over to give her a quick tap on the jaw and knock her out so he could take her back without incident. He leaned over her in such a way in delivering the blow that would resist her from moving and the hit not knocking-her out

OoC: only a couple moments are passing each one of these posts... I just can't do anything major with this girl as your controlling her... so please don't come up on us right away...

Kage Seer unsheathed his katana, clenched it in his teeth and raised his arms to his chin and level with the katana. He performed some seals with his hands right in front of his face and disappeared. The enemy, still a threat, needed to be dealt with sooner or later.

haha, so obvious :p... anyway kage seer is suspicious as the girl, only moments ago begging for help, is now denying help from a seemingly village chunnin... he traveled underground while the earth clone stood there looking at the girl and is now behind the "girl" as earth clone goes to knock her out... his arms are high and level w/ sword so he can stick his head out of the ground silently in an instant, end phasing yet still have his arms free of the ground to cut the girl in two should she do something to resist the knock-out shot.

the "enemy" will be dealt with later then sooner :p

*The punch that was supposed to knock out the girl instead had her bleeding from her lip. She retaliated by punching the clone in the shin with her foot as she was sitting on her butt*

*A dark figure suddenly flew through the night rain, straight at the devil boy. Katsu quickly dashed into a nearby alley and found his way up to the roof on the far left hand side of the clone. Dark clouds loomed over head and the rain kept pounding the ground. He quickly made some seals and another KB appeared next to him*

*The first Katsu went in front while the other one stayed back, observing the situation and following a few meters behind*

The clone was ticked off at missing the mark considering he was highly trained in incapacitating unmanageable problems he didn't see the incoming dark figure and instead struck the girl on the "light-out" button much harder. determined to send her to la-la-land so the terrible shouting would go away.

*Katsu and his copy were now nearly above the girl and the devil boy on the roof above. As the clone sent a shot flying at the girl, white smoke engulfed her and a punch flew right into the clone's stomach, sending him flying away from Katsu whom now stood in place where the girl was*

That hurt...

*Katsu said as he fixed his jaw. The two Katsu's watched the events unfold beneath their feet*

OoC : The earth clone should be gone from that punch

*Overseer Kage silently and shockingly quickly shoots out of the ground behind Katsu. His arms already being completely free of the earth due to pre-prep he stops phasing with only down to his shoulders free of the earth to save time and grabs the sword next to his hand. Not having to adjust anything he simply swipes in an upward motion with full power in one fluid motion to cut Katsu's legs off at the knees as he stands up and readjusts his jaw: gloating over knocking the earth clone crumbling to the ground. This all cant take more then a few seconds.

*Time seemed to slow down as another devil boy was spotted by the two figures on the roof, coming out of the ground !! In a flash the two Katsu's appeared next to the devil boy as he was about to swing his sword upward, touching Katsu's leg and beginning to dig in his flesh. With a mighty kick the figures stomped on Devil Boy's head. Nothing could save him*

*The Seer Kage, his eyes lighting up in anger and amusement at being caught in such a splendid jutsu merely lifted his pupils and stared at the feet coming to crush him. It was a once in a lifetime feeling to see death descending and unable to even look it in the eye and give it the finger.

Nonetheless he had apparently shocked them and it was obvious their mind wasn't having the same out-of-body clarity his was having as they went to stomp down on his head, he wanted to give a nice heartfelt laugh but tragically his face was trapped in a distasteful focused concentration.

He went up in smoke... but not before the drill horns upon his head penetrated both clones respective stomping foot: causing both enemy clones to go up in one big clone puff funeral with him. Their immediate reactions overcame their logic sadly.

All Kage Seers memories flashed through Devil Boy's mind

Tsk...

Devil Boy really didn't like ever dying: even as a kage... being flooded with the dead kages memories always made their superficial life too real and created a sense of connection mulling over their humorous and tactical interpretations which he always somehow doubted he would come up with if he was really there and his life really on the line.

Devil Boy had never experienced that yet and was pretty sure he'd just freeze up or something weak... although he could always admire his clones taking it like a real hero would

(haha, did he really want to finger him? would I have done the same? I liked his strategy anyway... I probably would have just thrown kunai or something from the shadows.... pretty lame considering My training background is in kenjutsu...)

real senken is traveling underground beside his left row of building a good distance behind katsu to go behind him a good distance and get some of the blood the kage seer saw katsu spill on his way to their location disguised as the bleeding little girl... if he attacks earth clone on the roof all the better

senken is starting to get pretty low on chakra... 60 percent gone to clones, a long underground travel, a split second underground travel, and the odd shunshin in the mix

*Katsu suddenly reached to his right thigh as he knelt on his left knee and flung three kunai at the devil. Two were headed for the kid's left and right sides and the one straight down the middle to his abdomen. Not even waiting for a reaction, Katsu sprang forward while simoltaneously unsheathing his sword and preparing for a slash right across the devil's chest. If he would somehow counter-attack, Katsu was ready to move his blade in a defensive position by just tilting his wrist downward*

Senken came out of the ground where the jounin had as he started to and up the building to kill the clone upon it and soaked up the fresh albeit diluted blood that had hit the earth from the flesh-wound to the back of his knees.

(Thankfully not much of a concentration is needed)

*Senken took out a scroll, grabbed the tip and unravelled it in one fluid motion, then as it started to ravel back up automatically he dragged the somewhat bloody sponge across the paper while watching his clone, already standing their dead, get slashed in half by the jounin

*Earth clones were dispensable though so he started hysterically laughing while performing some seals with the completed scroll wrapped up atop his hands and held in place with his thumbs while dropping to his knees and finally dropping his arms.

Senken: This is my ultimate jutsu! if you fight you'll die! Surrender to konoha my tough b*tch!

if katsu comes at him he'll slam the scroll to the ground and finish

I doubt he can kill 8 nin dogs with his time-stopping jutsu... this even caught zabuza >.>

*Ground crumbled on the wet roof and was beginning to be washed off by the rain. The clone had disappeared and there was nothing but air in front of Katsu. A voice suddenly rang out next to Katsu as he turned and saw the unthinkable. Some weirdo was wrapping paper around him and playing doggy, but this was the real deal*

*Katsu yelled out as little sparks of electricity ran through his face and skin, making his red eyes stand out even more. As the kid began turning into an animal, Katus began forming seals and the weather helped him out a lot. Like the furious gods of Olympus, thunder bolts began raging down toward the opponent's back, since he was on all fours. Not to worry, there were more than one bolt, and the other's were headed around the opponent to form a box of DOOM !!!*
