:oops: you're overstating that by a bit.. they're not that great.... all i did was draw em in pen and use photoshop (back when i actually had it) to add in the colour highlights

photoshop can really be a solid tool for enhancing drawings you made. Freehnad drawings will be crap compared to those made by people who could REALLY use photoshop.

the drawings i posted were freehanded, then i scanned them and used photoshop to throw in the tint.... but that comment really pissed me off

the way i did my drawings is exactly how i was taught to when i was still an art major (baaaaad choice). all of my professors, who just so happen to be professional artists (go figure), showed me how to draw freehand, and edit using painter or photoshop

whether its free hand or a program its still art, it depends on the skill of the artist to how well a work of art turn sout

I guess i could reply back and stop the raving...Thats just how i talk on a normal basis. I wasnt attacking the use of scanning persay. The real insult i was throwing out was the use of original drawings, not just looking off something and copying. Im a fine artist in the first place and dont naturally work in photoshop, or draw anime. I was just happy it came out looking anything like a person especially when using a mouse. So i was only meaning to insult ChaosGenkaku. I was bothered by his over confidence, cocky attitude in other forums and direct copy from manga. Not to say he traced just that its not that amaizing. I think dweezil did a swell job on his vivi and the like and just as a note the colorization is a little awkward, it was probably better in original medium.

I agree, but I think he should venture into drawing characters in various other positions instead of directly copying to build up skill.... but as long as he's having fun doing it, then I promote it.... everyone should draw, no matter how good or bad they are... I encourage anyone and everyone to spend time messing around. You'd be suprised how good someone could get just spending 20 or 30 minutes a day doodling random household objects :lol:

I really like that blood brothers one. If you want a good set of drawing pencils, I've found some at Wal-Mart in the arts and crafts section that are actually really good. It's a set of 8 or 10 graphite pencils with eraser and sharpener for about 6 dollars, maybe a little more than that, I don't really remember. Either way they're great, and rather cheap. They're in a sleeve that has a sketched house on it, and it seems like part of it is green.
