I really want to know who this Duval is given that Luffy seemed a little worries about who it is.

I've seen alot of speculation at the arlong park forums that it could be Dadan (the guy who garp entrusted luffy and Ace too when they were young) but i dont see why he would hate luffy (or any other straw hat) so i dont think its him. i like how oda added the white fluffy hair looking stuff to the helmet to really through us off on any possible hint as who it could be :(

My bet is on Don Krieg...who else would wear armor and use weapons. Makes me think that it is not a devil fruit user. This looks to me like it is only a short Episode before we enter the real storyline of the arc.

I'm not sure about it being Don Krieg because in the last page of last weeks chapter Luffy seemed a little concerned about who he was facing and when he fought Don Krieg he wasn't scared of him at all. But I agree that this is only a small arc leading into a much bigger story arc whether the big arc will be about saving Ace or fighting Jimbei remains to be seen.

I guess that it will still take some time till Luffy realizes that he has to go for his brothers' rescue, so i bet that this won't be the topic of this arc. Probably the one after that...probably the mother of that ugly female pirate captain Lola will tell him about the significance of the paper shrinking.

And what would you say who it is that Luffy faces now?

I think that its someone that Luffy encountered before the start of the manga. Though what I'm wondering is what Luffy did to him.

Thanks blood eyes! That's interesting. So this mysterious guy is indeed someone yet-unseen from the past, and connected to Sanji as it seems.

I remember a few chapters ago he said, " I wonder if he's on that ship"...yes, he has to be on it". That kinda told me that its not about luffy because obviously luffy would be on the ship.

Thats true I simply assumed that Duval was refering to Luffy. Given that everyone seems to be after Luffy its a nice change for someone else in his crew to be the one someone is going after.
