yea im pretty excited for it even tho im not a ps3 owner yet. I beat Rise of Ninja for Xbox 360, it was good, but there were a lot of things they could have expanded on like the fighting and the missions. The whole game just seemed too repetitive. This one looks like its a lil deeper in areas just by the short glimpse and its rumored that the game is going to go all the way to the end of the rescue gaara arc.

I don't think I'll be playing this game. The problem I have with the games is the same problem I have with games based off movies. You already know what's going to happen since you already saw it.
Half the fun for me is not knowing the storyline. I am glad to see it takes you all the way up to the rescue Gaara arc, but I still will know what's coming so I probably won't enjoy it as much. But perhaps I'll rent it :D

To me it is a lot like rping. Cause you get to play as the character and feel like you have control over the arc.
I would love to play as Sasuke just so I can make him die a painful death a bunch of time... lol. But I think I will pick this one up. But it says the project start in 08 so we will see when it comes out

LOL!!! The killing Sasuke is quite the convincing sales pitch Rock. I think I would definitely rent it just so I could enjoy a good bit of that, haha.
Also, I know it feels like we would have control over the arc, but if you want to move to the next stage I'm sure you'd have to actually follow what really happened. I suppose in a sense you could look at it like already having a strategy guide.
However, I also dislike having a strategy guide for the entire game. It also takes away from the fun, well for me it does.
But I shall see what it's about when it is released. If it gets good reviews and I find out it has more than 20 hours of game play then I will more than likely pick it up :thumb:

I love Naruto so much I went and bought yself a xbox especially for Rise of the Ninja ( it became a great decision not just for Naruto). But the game was great, look great but like others have said could have expanded the content made fight scene more accurate which made it seem rather repetitive.
Im not a PS3 fan myself nor do I own one... however that video did look rather good but tbh just looked like another fighting game like Naruto ultimate heroes or whatever it was called, the one for PSP.

The Offiacl name for this game is Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm.

its a shame that ultimate ninja storm doesnt have a proper mission mode/ rpg type mode like broken bond on 360..however! the gameplay in ultimate ninja storm could be considered a cutscene in itself!
the videos of the game dont do it justice, it looks better than the actual show (on a full HD TV). and it moves and plays like a dream! the tsunade jiraya vs oro fight was just great! the QTE events in that were spot on! :thumb:
i had to buy broken bond on the 360 afterwards to see how it was like...its an improvement over rise of a ninja but to be honest that really isnt saying much. i mean sasuke's chidori "belly massage" is just ridiculous! some real lack luster framerate and stop and go "wooden" gameplay just isnt what naruto should be like. but it does have a lot of mini games and a long campaign mode which is a good thing...just wish it had the gameplay and graphics of ultimate ninja storm though.

I have Ultimate Ninja Storm and The Broken Bond and I must say I find TBB the better one. Mostly becasue UNS is just so freaking boring. After every mission, which only takes like a minute you're rewarded with a 15 second loading screen and a trip to Konoha there's nothing to do. But what annoyes me the most is because of that you can't get into the story, you can't grasp the Naruto feeling.
Not even the combat gives me a Naruto vibe. If the combat gives a vibe, then it would be a DBZ fight because I've seen similiar controls/style in the DBZ games for PS2. Where as TBB really gives you the feeling you're playing with a mechanism that is espcially created for Naruto.
As for the graphics. While UNS cleary has better characters, I think TBB has better environments (which also includes Konoha).
So UNS might has a smoother fighting system, imo it's not enough to win from TBB.
