Chapter 1: Scene 1

Ho was steaming as she headed for the door to her instructors office. Her cane sliding across the ground in front of her causing a sound not unlike a snake slithering through the grass.

Anko: HEY, WAIT!

Ho heard her but did not turn around. She hoped that the bigot would conceit that she was deaf as well as blind.

WHAM

Something had hit to the right of Ho. She deduced that it was something made of paper since it had a crumpling sound as it hit the ground. Playing up the handicapped roll, Ho felt around with her cane; though she knew that it couldn't be more than a few feet away and in what direction.

POKE, POKE.

She hand found it, a scroll. The young woman picked it up and opened the scroll as if reading it.

Ho: hmmm...right...Ha ha ha...Funny.

Ho then Turns and tosses the watch back to Anko.

Ho: I don't think I can use it seeing as though I can't SEE!

Ho leaves the Academy beaming as she didn't need to read to know that the scroll said that she had passed. Still, the scroll hadn't been read yet and she wanted someone to read it. Somebody had to acknowledge her of being a shinobi, or having accomplished anything for that matter. So she stopped moving. Ho does this from time to time when she needs to place her position in the world. Tapping her index finger on her chin she opened her eyes barring her white washed pupils. She sniffs the air slowly...

Ho: Ichiraku hmmm...I wonder.

Ho begins walking in the direction of the Ramen shop, her cane bouncing in on and off the ground. As she came to the shop she put on her best, "Help me I'm blind" act. She began to walk slower and more cautiously . She fumbled her way to a stool bumping and pushing her way passed customers.

Customers: Hey, watch it…Oh I’m sorry. Here, sit here.

Ho feels a set of firm hands on her shoulders as she is guided to a stool.

Owner: Ohhh, no. Get out, sneak thief.

Sakura: That’s not fair, she’s blind she needs out help. It is our duty as a village to take care of our disabled.

Ho: Thank you miss.

Sakura: Your welcome, I’ll pay for her food.

Owner: Grrrrr

The owner of the ramen shop brings Ho a steaming bowl of Ramen and sets it just out of reach of Ho and slightly to the left.

From outside: Sakura.

Sakura turns her head to wave. As she does Ho takes an extra sniff and then reaches out to the left and grabs the bowl. As she does this she sticks her tongue out at the owner. She then drops the scroll on the floor causing enough noise to catch Sakura’s attention. Sakura turns and see’s the scroll on the floor and picks it up.

Sakura: You dropped something.

Ho decides to make a big fuss over it pushing Sakura to read it.

Ho: Oh, thank you. I don’t know what I’d have done if I lost it.

Sakura: what is it?

Ho: Its my passing grade, didn’t think I’d get accepted.

Sakura opens the scroll and reads through it.

Sakura: You WHAT!! Who the hell would let some blind kid be a shin obi? You stole this didn’t you.

Ho: From who?

Sakura: That’s what I’d like to know.

Ho takes this as a que to quickly and quietly slink away and ruuuuuuun. She leaps off the stool and rushes out of the area as fast as her little legs would carry her. Her cane tucked under her arm many wonder if she’s even blind. ((Yes she is, just over familiar with the area))

Ho: I guess I’d better get down to business.

Not So best of Friends.

Ho found herself in training area 3 this day. Her concept of time useless as the sky was ridiculously cloudy. The wind blows in a south-westernly direction. Her bushy hair released from its pig tails the young girl is wondering how she's ever going to be a Shinobi without the ability to read scrolls.

The young girl hadn't thought this all the way through. She figured she'd see about passing the test and figure things out from there.

Ho: Now what? sigh

AnkoHey! It's time for your training.

Ho perks her head up (Needed correction to be in proper continuity with her disability, writers mistake)

Ho: What, I gave back the watch.

Anko: It's not about that >_< . Though I will admit to a certain degree, that I was impressed.

Ho: It's simple, your eyes were distracted. Now what?[/color]

Anko: Well The Hokage decided that I should be you're sensei, That means in a few months I'm going to kill you.

Ho: Huh?!?

Anko: Seriously, if you don't show my some type of potential in a few months...I'm going to kill you; now stand up.

Ho stands slowly, her stance is that of a drunken zombie, hunched at the shoulders arms dangling. He head however is looking straight ahead. Anko walks around her slowly taking note of the young girl.

Anko: Stand up straight.

Ho straightens her back and brings herself to her full height. Anko walks around her slowly, muttering in a barely audible voice.

Anko: This is some kinda joke..the kid moves a little too gracfully to not be able to see. Sheleapedatmedirectlyduring thesparing, shediditmorethanonce.Sheevenfoundthebat hroomwithoutfeelingaroundlikearetardshejuststopped forassecondandbasicallysniffedaroundthenrandirectl ytothedoor.

Ho: muttering and running your words together isn't going to stop me from hearing you.

Anko paced around Ho still muttering under her breath barely audible. She closed in on Ho lowering her tone ever so slightly. As she got within six inches of Ho she said very quietly.

Anko: Where am I?

Ho: Behind me, approzimately on the north eastern side of me.

Anko opened her eyes wide.

Anko: You might live out the year after all.

Starting from Scratch

Ho sat in Training area 3 waiting for the sound of someone approaching her. The sounds of grass being trampled upon floated to her ears.

chashhhhhhhhh

Anko stepped into the clearing looking none to pleased with Ho. She slowly walked towards Ho arms behind her back hands clutching the opposing elbow, ala Morpheus of the matrix. As Anko came close she peered down into Ho, the dark eyes of the ANBU class konouichi boring holes through her charge. Anko stopped just a few inches from Ho.

Anko: When were you going to tell me that you couldn’t perform the basic genin jutsu? HOW THE HELL DID YOU PASS THE ACADEMY!!! (In the mission Ghost in the forest.)

Ho sat staring at Anko, fear rolling down her face in bullets of sweet.

Anko: I SUGGEST YOU ANSWER ME OR ELSE THINGS WILL GET VERY INTERESTING.

Anko quicky runs thruogh a set of seals. Ho doesn't know what to make of the sound as she is unfamiliar with the sound of Anko's hands quickly rubbing against eachother. Within seconds several snakes rise from the log Ho is sitting on and wrap her tightly. The heads of the snakes eye level with Ho. One snake in particular snaps at Ho nearly nipping her nose. The young girl begins to shake furiously and sweat runs down her neck.

Ho spat the truth out in a jumble of words strung together.

Ho: I…I…ummm…Istoleabunchofcuponsfromtheramenshopandtr adedthemtoAkamechisensiinexchangeforapassinggrade.

Anko: Again…much slower. And with proper punctuation.

Ho: I stole a bunch of cupons from the Ramen shop and...gulp traded them to Akemichi sensi for a passing grade. I mean I know them in theory, I just don't know what anything looks like.

Anko: sigh this is what happens when our Hokage appoints his friends to trusted positions. If this wasn't made my permenant job, I'd let the snakes eat you and be done with it, we’ve got a lot of training to do, starting from scratch. What are the main hand signs a shin obi needs to know?

Ho: Monkey, Pig, Horse, Dog and tiger I believe

Anko: So your time in the academy wasn’t a complete waste. I take it you don’t know how to use them do you?

Ho: They have something to do with my hands. They are specific finger positions between the two hands that represent these honorable animals.

Anko, thinks to herself quietly. She stands attempting to put all this information together. The girl can find her way around the village well without eyesight. Is well informed of all her basics but doesn’t have the ability to use them. Something is off with this child. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Anko: Stand up.

Ho stands from her seat. Now at the fullest of her height Ho was motionless, her ears confused at the constant switching of Anko’s weight. There was no forward movement, nor any lateral movement. Just constant switching of Anko’s knee’s supporting the bulk of her weight. Then within an instant the aura of the area changed. Anko’s weight evened out as Ho heard the right leg press harder against the grass though her left foot never moved. Ho’s hands were quickly drawn up to the height of her chest. Her hands were clasped together and her fingers quickly arranged into a position. All of her fingers were balled together into a collective of digits. Fingers between the two hands interlaced like the strings of a sneaker.

Anko: This is your starting position for most seals.

Anko then grabbed Ho’s hands and quickly but gently moved a few fingers away from the whole.

Anko: Horse.

She moved a few more fingers away from the whole while returning the previously moved ones to their starting positions.

Anko: Moneky

Anko folded the young girls hands again, moving fingers and organizing thumb placement. Anko continued this going through the different hand seals. She would form one with Ho’s hands and then name it. Wait a few seconds and move on to the next one.

Anko: That’s the last one. Do you remember them.

Ho: Yes, not only that but you have a wart on the back of your left hand. If you ask me you should pop it and scrap the dead skin off. It felt disgusting.

Anko: Very funny

Chakra molding

Anko watches as Ho learns the seals quickly. She assumes that her hand and finger dexterity might come from her lack of sight which has caused her to use her hands more frequently than most. It would also explain her uncanny slight of hand ability which allowed the girl to slip a watch from Anko’s wrist without the kounouichi knowing.

Anko ran a few thigns through her head as Ho continually went through the seals at an alarming speed. The girls hands were obviously fast as Anko’s and her finger sensitivity was second to none. With proper training she would make an excellent shin obi. Her attitude however was an annoyance as she was obviously arrogant and definitely obnoxious. Anko however was now tied to this girl, “Stupid Hokage” She thought. Kakashi was a better choice, definitely a better choice.

Anko: How are you with channeling and molding chakra?

Ho: Close to horrible.

Anko Do you know where to find your chakra?

Ho; The solar plexus, just above the stomach.

Anko: Good, find it.

Ho begins feeling for her internal energy. She searched for the warm feeling in her body where all things begin. As she did this Anko again quickly grabbed the girls hands and placed them into a position.

Anko: This is the basic finger position for chakra channeling and molding. As you get better you’ll eventually be able to channel and mold chakra for certain uses without using this hand seal. Now relax your breathing, make it slow and deep. In through the nose out through the mouth. The breath must complete the circle. Feeling your entire being is necessary. From this you’ll be able sense the energy and directly properly. Now lengthen the time of your breath from one second to ten. Slow your heart rate so that the chakra will not be blocked by the rhythmic beating. Chakra escapes between the vibrations of your heart beat. This is why it is important for a shin obi to keep calm at all times. It’s also partially the reason shin obi often lack chakra in the most intense situations. Because as you stamina drops your heart rate rises choking the neck of the chakra well. Elite ninja almost never lose their nerve and calm themselves in an instant. A clear head is the most dangerous tool of a ninja.

Ho breathes deeply taking in all of the instruction. Finally she truly knew what she had gotten herself into. The mission, her first mission and almost her last, a failure. Her training, finally begun. Her plan, working out to a T.

There, she had found it. That warm ball in the center of her body. As the distance between breaths grew, she could feel the warmth growing, filling out through the flesh of her body. Soon her entire body was warm. So warm she felt as though she was glowing. Indeed she was. A blue light had begun to radiate from her skin. A swirl of power began at her feet and twisted around her lower body violently. The grass parted around her. It lay down as if running from a malicious mower. Ho’s pig tailed hair blew, the strings binding the two tails snapped and her hair freed itself from the imposed bondage. Anko stood in awe.

Anko: She’s got an impressive amount of chakra for her age and skill level. This is one huge ball of clay that I could probably make anything out of. Naruto, you know what I like. Stop.

With a quick snap Ho opened her eyes and the chakra dissipated. Anko had a broad smile on her face.

Anko: You had one strike already. Keep this up and you just might stave off the next two. I’ll be back.

Never looked so good

Ho stood for several minutes going over the hand seals making sure she had them perfectly. Each one she did slowly and would begin picking up speed until she could do them with lightening fast efficiency. She then ran through them. She would start again slowly, taking her time to position the fingers properly. After a while she stood going through the seals while listening to the surrounding area for Anko to return. Before long she began to hear foot steps coming from the east of her current position. Anko stepped into the clearing again. There was a second set of footsteps not to far behind Anko.

Ho: Who’s that?

Anko: Uneki Ho, I’d like you to meet Sarutobi Ai; Daughter of The late Asuma Sarutobi. Though her skills take after her mother Kurenai. Ai is excellent at Genjutsu. She will be helping you build a mental refference for things that would be useful in battle and recon. I think this will help keep me from killing you in the near future.

Ai was a tall, pretty girl, her face very much like her mothers, kind. Her eyes two resembled Kurenai’s. What was very much like her father however was the set of trench knives in special pouches on her belt, as well as the fire symbol that was stitched in a bandana. The bandana was tied around her neck. The red cloth stood out strongly against the mainly black uniform and gave the steal of her konoha headband a pink tint to it. Her hair was spikey and jet black, probably a problem child, like her father was. It’s often that children take opposing traits from their parents. She seemed to have Kurenai’s looks and Asuma’s wild side. It was a sure thing that she was intelligent as both her parents were high level jounin, she would soon receive a rank nearly as high. The girl was only a chunnin at the current time.

Ai: this is an intel genjutsu I developed. I’m showing it for my Jounin thesis. It allows me to input any thoughts I wish into the opponents mind. And extract what ever I want. What I’m going to do is show you everything I’ve seen. We're going to be sisters, in a few minutes.

Ai begins a complex series of seals quickly. After a short few seconds she places her hands on Ho.

Ai: Genjou ien genjou (Sight beyond sight… yay for thundercats :D)

Ho’s head flashes completely white. The light is bright enough to blind her, that is if she weren’t blind already. The instant influx of color sent the girl into a slight shock.

Anko could see the girl begin to tremble.

In Ho’s mind faces began to pass by; Kurenai, Iruka, Naruto, Choji, Sakura, Kakashi, Tsunade, Shizune, Sai, Anko and various other people of the village. Then the Hokage Mountain and it’s faces, Shodai, Nidaime, Sandaime, Yondaime, Godaime and Mudaime (6th), Shichidaime (7th). Then random images of Ai’s favorite things. Tree’s, certain flowers, Woodland animals, the very training area they stood in at that moment and finally, Ho‘s very own face. Then in the same time the genjutsu started it ended. Ho still blind as a bat. Now however, she had the visual library of someone who had seen the things Ho had only smelled, things she had only felt, only heard. She had no idea how dangerous this information was.

A tear ran down the cheek of the young blind girl. She had never known what she looked like. He face was striking, soft her eyes devoid of all sign of a pupil except for the off white circle, barely noticable in average light conditions. The tear was followed by several more, the young girl broke down and cried. As she cried she worked furiously to try and scrub the smudges of dirt from her pretty face. She had no idea she was so dirty.

Training for the week complete. Things learned, hand seals, chakra molding, genin jutsu finally learned.

Beautiful Springtime.

It had been days since Ho met the daughter and succesor of the Sarutobi family, Ai. Since then Ho had be practicing her gennin jutsu nonstop. The images now implanted in her head helped her become adept at becoming something or someone else. She hadn't heard from Ai nor Anko since that day. It was A surprise when Anko spke to her while she was training.

Anko: So you've been training hard I see.

Ho: I'm glad someone can see it cause I sure can't.

Anko: YOu know you never got this, running out of the academy testing room so quickly.

Anko removes the leaf headband from her pocket and ties it around Ho's head. The young girl runs her fingers across the bandana, they slip into the grooves of the carved leaf symbol. She smiles softly as a thought comes to her mind. Ho takes the protector and slides it down covering her sight less eyes. She tightens it to ensure it doesn't fall off.

Anko: I guess you think thats funny?

Ho: yeah, I do.

Anko: Anyway, I think it's time for another lesson.

Anko kicks and pushes Ho's body into a specific stance. Her feet are pointed inward slightly and are a little greater than shoulder width apart. The young girls knees are bent and Anko finishes off by pushing Ho low in this stance by the top of her head. She then pulls the girls hands up to the top rib almost tucked beneath her arm pits are Ho's two fists.

Anko: Don't move from that position, I'll be back later.

There she stood, Ho wobbled on her legs trying to keep her balance. It wasn't long before the knees started to tremble slightly, for the shoulders to become enflamed with calcium build-up or for the lower back to begin to pull inward ever-so gently. The wind blew and the temperature dropped slowly allowing the unaware to shiver. Ho couldn't afford to shiver, already begining to shake from her stance, a shiver could very well throw her off stance. The girl really just wanted to stop and sit down, unfortunately her sensi was a cruel task master probably watching in the bushes or from a tree. There might even be a detonation tag under her foot or armpit just waiting for Ho to disturb it. The girl stood stone still.

The tree's shook slightly.

The winds blew and several leaves floated by. One kissed Ho's cheek as it went.

The young girl shook in her stance some more.

the scratching of claws on wood could be heard as mating squriels raced up a nearby tree.

Ho stood still.

Footsteps began to be audible to the young girl. Also, the pungent smell of Teriyaki floated toward her nostrils. After years of torrment the task master had returned.

Anko: Damn, you didn't move.

Ho: Huh?

Anko scoops up a hand full of dirt and pours it on Ho's left fist letting the dirt slip between the fingers. Afterwards she does a few quick hand seals and Ho's hand begins to be forced open by a growing rock inside of her hand. The girl opens her hand completly. Once she does Anko quickly grabs the rock and throws it as hard as she can. The rock explodes in mid air.

Anko: You're not the only one with some experience in slight of hand.

What felt like days passd by while Anko was gone. The growing of the pain of the stance made time disappear.

THUMP, THUMP!

Anko: I got these scrolls from A genin that turned up missing a while back. (Tasuhara R.I.P) They detail the skills of a clan that was assimilated by the Leaf durring the fuedul era of our history. It details the skills of a Taijutsu that should work miracles for the sightless. It comprises of various striaght line techniques, will work well with your slight of hand and as long as you keep in contact with the opponent, should get you an easy victory as it works on a lesser scale, slightly like The Hyuuga's gentle fist, striking vital points. How you're standing is the way you will stand as you learn it's forms or kata's. Then there will be a sensitivity excersie and after that sparring and more sensitivity excersices. Sensitivity of the hands, forearms, knee's, feet and wait are essential. Let us begin.

Anko taks Ho through the steps of the first Form, guiding her hands and arms slowly.

Anko: Stop, you elbow should be no further or closer to your body than the distance between your thumb and little figner. Good.

Anko leads Ho through somemore of the motions of the form.Anko stops again and takes a step back to look at Ho's stance and go over the scrolls she confiscated from Tasuhara's Camp.

Anko: You're too far to the right.

Anko moves the young girls arms so that they rest on the center line of the body, parralell to the spine. She then moves the girls arms and shoulders into the positions needed, always giving time to Ho, so that she may reflect on the positioning and commit it to memory. It took them more than an hour to get through the first form.

Anko: Do you remember everything.

Ho: Yep.

Anko: Good, I'm going to bed. Training you is annoying and tiring. You keep practicing and maybe, just maybe. You'll be able to see tomorow, that would make things much easier.

Anko heads off into the village leaving Ho to fend for herself.

Chi Sao (Sticking Hands)

Ho had been practicing the form Anko showed her for several weeks. Apparently the shinobi had forgotten about her trainee. Ho had actually become very proficient in learning the movements needed. She had awoke with the chipping of the birds and headed out to her favorite training spot everyday, the one that smells of salt water and lillies. The young girl stood in the stance she was taught at the begining of the month. Her feet shoulder width apart knees buckled inward until they touch, Hands bawled into fisted and pulled back tucked high by her ribs. She begins the form again from the start. Her breathing matching her movements. Each outward movement paired with an equal speed outward breath and vice versa for inward movements. He moves slow as she was told, feeling the mucsles as she moves.

The young girl had encounted a hyuuga during her travels a few days ago and her advice was soft profound that Ho had improved greatly.

Hinata: Well you train the movements slow and commit them to your muscle memory. You have to get your breathing in sync with your speed until its second nature. Once you do that you'll be able to do the same moves at full speed and still keep your breathing right. I mean it also is neccessary to be of the Hyuuga blood line if you're going to use Gentle fist.

Ho: Oh, It's not Gentle Fist. Sensi Anko said it was similar to it in the approach, soft and yeilding or something like that.

Hinata: Oh, well keep training and you'll get it. It's good for those who can't see, thats weird. But I guess it works.

Ho had gotten her breathing and moving to a science. She finished the Form the first time around and then decided to continue mastering her Chain punches. She started with them slowly, moving her right hand out in a straight line in front of her, fist vertical as in fingers facing the left side of her body instead of facing the ground like a normal punch. She held that fist in place as she began moving her left fist outward in the same motion. As the knuckles of the left hand became level with the palm of the right, she began to pull the right fist back, slowly rotating it until chambered again, fingers pointing toward the sky.

After a few minutes of doing the punches slowly, Ho picked up her speed punching faster and faster until her hands were a blur.

The leaves in a nearby tree rustled.

Ho: Who's there?

Anko dropped out of the tree as silent as a human could be. The only sound was what could be written off as the wind, and that of her feet lightly touching the fresh grass.

Seem's like you've been working hard.

Ho: The way things are going I may have to fight for my life.

Anko: I'm not sure yet. You seem to be improving, Anyway, I've been reading these scrolls and I've found a way to help you train even more so. I've worked on the next training excersise myself inbetween missions and know I know what needs to be done for you. You're going to train yourself. Your going to do this all day and I brought you a sleeping bag. You might as well sleep out here. as I'll be dropping by every morning before I head off to take care of business.

Ho: You're so sweet to me. I mean we barly talk and I never see you.

Anko: You've nothing interesting to say and seeing me is impossible.

Ho: Dream killer.

Without a word Anko summons a Kage Bunshin. The kage Bunshin Henge's itself into Ho and approaches her. The two stand face to face The bunshin staring into Ho's sightless eye's. Anko Approaches the two of them and places Ho's arms into the proper position. Ho's Right arm into a Bong Sao or Elbow up block. Her hand parralel to her shoulder, her elbow and shoulder even in height. Ho's left hand pulled out into the Tong Sao movement the young girl now knew so well. Her hand open and inviting, her arm extened outward, elbow even with her ribs, the distance seperating them about the distance from Ho's thumb to her pinky finger.

The Henge'd bunshin assumes the same position, Her arms touching Ho's and intertwining in spots.

Anko: Do not force any movement. Wait until you feel the Bunshin move and let you arms and body adjust naturally. This is the essence of Wing Chun Kung fu. This exercise will teach you the sensetivity of the upper body. You will learn how to adjust to your opponents weight upon contact and use it against them.

Ho: What, I'm supposed to just walk up to targets and hold my hands out like I wanna waltz with them?

Anko: No you fight using the movements in the form you learned. This teaches you how to seek out weaknesses in someones defense. Sadly you're going to have to be a close range fighter since you can't see worth a damn. See ya, in a few days. By the way, the bunshin will vanish when i got to bed tonight. Until then you train.

Anko turns and walks off into the forest heading only God knows where.

Ho: Hey...

WHAP!

The Bunshin cracks Ho in the forehead with a slap.

Bunshin: Eyes front, focus. The idea of this excersice is to figure out what arm is moving, in what direction and to block using the appropirate block. We train in a manner that pain is our teacher. Basically, if you get hit, that means you didn't do it right. lets go.

The Bunshin stands her hands and forearms locked with Ho's. The Bunshin pushes her Tong Sao forward changing it from a block to a punch. She does this quickly, testing Ho's thought process. The Punch connects with the girl in the head.

WHAM!!!

Ho: Ouch!

Bunshin: What did you feel?

Ho: My head being bashed with a hammer.

Bunshin: Before that? I know you're sense of touch is remarkable, even moreso than that nose that tells you I'm not you. So what did you feel?

Ho: I felt your arms sliding over mine, there was preasure pushing up.

Bunshin: That came from my shoulders. Lets try that again, full speed.

The Bunshin of Anko/Ho throws the punch again. Ho feeling it coming moved her arm to block. Unlike the movements she trained, the young girl throws her arm up higher pushing the punch over her head. The Bunshin circles her in a counter-clockwise motion pulling arm around Ho's, she bawls up her fist and punches her in the face.

WHAM!!!

Bunshin: That looked like a traditional Shotokan Karate and nothing like what you've been training. See, everything I've done is in that first form you learned. You should be doing the same. The In-line or Chain punch, the wrist rotation which allowed me to gain a better position before you could reset. and then another in-line punch to the face. What moves in your form are blocks and which one's are attacks?

The Bunshin steps back and looks at Ho.

Bunshin: Can you remember that Position?

Ho: Yes.

Bunshin: Good, now leave that position and go through your form slowly.

Ho begins the form. She starts it with three chain punches.

Bunshin: Those are obviously attacks

Ho, continues, starting with her Tong sao, The bunshin throw a same side punch and its deflected by the Tong Sao.

Bunshin: Thats a block.

Ho, turns her hand so that the palm faces down and flicks her fingers out.

Bunshin: Thats an attack.

Ho Does a few more motions until her hand is three inches from her chest palm facing to the left. (I'm leaving out moves to speed this up). Ho then slides her hand to the left until it stops at the edge of her shoulder. The bunshin throws a punch that is intercepted by this hand.

Bunshin: Thats a block

Ho pulls her hand back to the center and juts it out palm forward.

Bunshin, thats obviously an attack. and so are the next to movements.

Ho begins a few movements where her hands are on her sides, palms down.

Bunshin: Blocks.

After a few more movments Ho comes back to finger jabs and a wrist break. She then finishes off the form with three chain punches.

Bunshin: Got it now?

Ho: I think so.

Bunshin: Good, poke me in the eyes and I'll kill you.

The two of them reset into the Chi sao position and the bunshin begins the movement for the punch again. This time Ho rotates her shoulder turning the bong Sao into a Tong Sao pushing the punch to the side. She resets her arm in position as the Bunshin tries to move her Bong Sao into a Palm strike to the shoulder. Ho moves her Tong Sao into a Bong Sao, pushing the arm down and out of reach.

Bunshin: Okay, you got part of the excersise down. You're blocking. The problem is you're not attacking. Watch.

The bunshin attacks and Ho blocks.

Bunshin: You should be attacking once you create an opening. And again, you poke me in the eyes and I'll kill you.

They begin again. As the bunshin moves to attack Ho, parries by switching the positioning of her right arm from a bong Sao to a tong sao. She then shoots a palm strike to the Bunshin's face catching it on the side of the head, eye buried in Ho's palm.

WHACK!!!

The Bunshin's head rocks backward and then resets. The bunshin begins going through a set of seals really quick. Snakes wrap Ho and yank her to the ground.

Bunshin: How do you wanna die?

Ho: You said poke, not slap.

Bunshin: New rule, don't poke or slap me in the eyes.
(Before saying that a bunshin should evaporate on impact. The damage is variable depending on the mental stability of the caster. haven't we seen them punched and beaten to a pulp by Neji and they remain?)

The snakes evaporate and Ho gets up. She doesn't take time to dust her clothing off she just gets back into position.

Ho: Lets do this again.

The two of them touch hands again and do the excersice for hours. Ho takes a small break to eat something and then returns to the training. After hours of training, the sun fell and the moon began to fall. During this time Ho stopped and set up the sleeping bag. She wondered how her parents would feel with her sleeping out here in the wild. Oh well, she could tell them she went somewhere knew and got lost.

Sense and Sincerity Part I

For the next few weeks Ho had been awakened by a snake slithering into her sleeping bag and biting her on the ankle. She would awake in serious pain and hobble into her stance as the Kage bunshin revered the henge and returned to its Anko appearance. She would train with the Bunshin from sun up to sun down every day taking one day off to rest, recuperate and bandage any wounds/bruises incurred during the training.

One such morning Ho had awaken before the routine biting that would occur. The young girl rolled the bag up and placed in 25 steps away from where she sleep, that was exactly 75 steps from where she planned to be practicing her form and waiting for the bunshin that would arrive. She practiced her form 30 times and went through some breathing exercises to help her striking power and stamina. By the time she had finished, the sun was high in the air and the birds had begun singing a song of joy for the reaping of worms, ants and other unsuspecting insects. Anko or her sadistic Bunshin had yet to show up.

THUUUUUUM!!!!

Anko: Sorry I’m late. Had to report to the Hokage, things as they are and all. So lemme see what ya got.

Anko charges at Ho quickly, hand raised for a punch. As she throws the punch to the right side of the blind girls head Ho raises he right arm in the position of a tong sao as she had been practicing her left hand moves swiftly to the center of her chest, fingers pointed towards the heavens. As her forearm connects with Anko’s, the young girl rotates her wrist and slams the palm of her hand down into the forearm and grabs hold of it; meanwhile her left hand is moving toward Anko’s face in a straight line punch. Anko uses a right hand slap block to the fist, grabbing it around the wrist. Ho quickly yanks her arm down and switches holding hands on Ankos left. Ho grabs Anko’s left hand with her left hand and then grabs hold of Anko’s right hand with her right, snatches the left hand free from Anko’s grip to begin another straight line punch while using the right hand to shove both of Anko’s hands into anko’s body, trapping the left elbow against Anko’s own ribs. Anko’s right hand pressed tightly on the left elbow.

Before the punch connects Ho feels a sharp pain in her leg just above the knee. She looks down to see Anko’s foot pressed firmly on the top of the knee cap.

Anko: This is called Chi Gurk. It’s the next phase of your training.

At that point the figure vanishes in a puff of smoke and the real Anko drops from above out of a tree.

Anko: By the way, I’m actually impressed at the way you handled yourself. That and I’m still amazed at how you knew it was me.

Ho: You’re diet gives you away.

Anko: Well I’ll give you an A for your Si Lum Tao and an A for your Chi Sao practice. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be this good. :D

Ho blushes.

Anko: Cut that out before I kill you, seriously. Now I’ll be teaching you the Chi Gurk on the side, you’ve got enough to defend yourself and more so, kill the enemy. Next I’m going to be teaching you your first jutsu. First things first.

Anko reaches in her fanny pack. (Why do naruto ninja’s where fanny packs?) and removes a piece of paper.

Ho: What are you rummaging in and what for?

Anko: Got it. Here grab hold of this.

Ho reaches out expecting Anko to place something in her hand, instead she feels the light touch of paper and just as she begins to close her fingers around it the paper is snatched back.

Anko: No that, that’s a phone number. He was cute too.

Anko reaches back in her fanny pack.

Rummage…rummage…rummage…

Anko: Found it. Here, take this sheet of paper and channel your chakra into it. Just a little bit though.

Ho grabs the paper firmly the moment it touches her palm. The young girl takes a deep breath and slowly exhales allowing the internal energy to flow through her body. As the chakra hits her fingers and transfers to the paper the paper shakes slightly. It soon begins to tremble and finally it wilts and begins to smoke until it catches fire. The ashes fall to the ground yet Ho’s fingers are unburned.

Anko: That’s partially what I expected. Now do it again with the other hand.

Ho holds the other paper firmly in her left hand. She once again takes a deep breath and allows her chakra to flow through her body, up from her solar plexus around the coil in her chest, over the heart, around the lungs up the chest to the shoulder, down the arm to the tips of her fingers. The paper quivers, it shakes and finally it crumbles.

Anko: That’s about right for number two. Actually your kinda weird, I looked at your families data books and the right hand is usually the earth hand and the fire hand is usually the left. Blind AND backwards. Shit. Anyway, your family is a bunch of lazy lay abouts who don’t do anything other then drink so there isn’t much in the way of clan jutsu these days. There for I’m going to teach you earth jutsu and fire jutsu and the theory behind jutsu so that you can hopefully get you family some respect. Jutsu number one, earth style decapitation.

(The following is a made up theory and has no ties to the narutoverse or actual ninjutsu technique.)

Anko: You remember the hand seals correct?

Ho begins to run through the as quickly as she can.

Anko: Good, now what you need to know is that each animal represented has a certain elemental leaning and direction. As such, the eagle is a wind seal and it’s also an upper seal, meaning it governs you head and neck. This jutsu here uses earth seals and lower outside seals. That would be monkey, horse, boar and dog.

Anko tells Ho the proper order of the seals and the young girl begins practicing without channeling any chakra to her hands.

Anko: As you do these seals what you are doing is making a contract with elder oni and trading your internal energy for these abilities. With time as you become proficient you won’t need to do these seals for simple jutsu as you will become accustom to the trade off and the proper focus.

Anko Leaps backward about thirty feet.

Anko: Okay, now do it again, this time channel your chakra and focus on the sound of my voice for distance and direction and speak the jutsu name with conviction.

With in seconds Anko see‘s Ho reach up from out of the ground several feet in front of her.

Anko; Damn this sucks. What happened?

Ho: (mouth full of dirt) It’s hard to throw ones body somewhere without moving physically.

Anko: You knew where I was, right?

Ho: My hearing is always off by about three degree’s, also wind distorts the voice since your mouth is pretty much a gapping cavity.

Anko: Grr.

Once more

After some time brooding over whether or not to kill Ho for her sheer ineptitude Anko stood from the spot she had planted herself some time ago. The wind didn't seem to wish to die down and Anko was relying on Ho's keen sense of hearing to learn her jutsu. Ho on the other hand decided to stand and see what she could find in the area. This was how the young girl had honed her senses so time ago. She was counting butterflies and squirles. Squirels were really loud travelers as their claws scratched at the surface of everything they walked and climbed. Butterflies left a trail of pollen in the air that tickled nose ever so slightly. They also carried more pollen and dust than smaller insects do the shear size of their wings in comparrison. While standing anko reached in her pocket and pulled out a teriyaki stick and some candied sweets deciding what she should eat. The teriyaki stick hand lint, hair and random debris attached to it.

Ho: I think it's a bit disgusting to be pulled tangy meat on a stick from your pocket. I bet it has stuff stuck all over it.

Anko: Does not.

Anko slowly pulls off a long peice of hair, she then brushes the lint off and takes a bit out of the snack.

Ho: Thats nasty.

Anko: What?

Ho: You're eatting it.

Anko: Am not.

Then Anko's brain clicks and she remembers all of the times Ho had noticed her approach, it wasn't because of her sound all ways, Anko had come to the conclusion that it was more because of her smell. She was thinking of when Ho ran to the bathroom after drinking the sake bottle full of lacitive.

This is some kinda joke..the kid moves a little too gracfully to not be able to see. Sheleapedatmedirectlyduring thesparing, shediditmorethanonce.Sheevenfoundthebat hroomwithoutfeelingaroundlikearetardshejuststopped forassecondandbasicallysniffedaroundthenrandirectl ytothedoor.

Anko: So the hearing is actually her secondary sense. Weird, usually with the blind hearing becomes the primary sense and smell is secondary. Everything about this girl is backwards. Lets try this again. This time find me the best way you can.

Anko begins to move around the area, she makes small amounts of noise forcing the girl to focus more on her opponent. On the same token Ho was trying to continually plot Anko's general direction from Anko's last words and point origin. The young girl was having a hard time keeping up with the smell of teriyaki and varous sweets floating about on the wind like the leaves of autumn. Anko, in her attempt to make things more difficult leapt from the ground to throw off her direction and landed behind Ho, unfortunately she landed on a thin twig and it snapped. The moment the twig snapped Ho had an exact position. She ran through her seals and preformed the jutsu. She vanished into the ground just as Anko moved to see to hands reaching up from the earth . Ho just barely missed Anko's ankle, swipping the bottom of her shoe.

Anko: almost, but your timing is off.

Ho: THis jutsu is usless, anyone can just jump out of the way. If you haven't noticed, I can't see dick so I think it would be beneficial if you taught me jutsu that made that little tid bit of information irrelevant to the fight.

Anko: Whats the point of teaching you anything good if you can't get this simple thing right, Now do it again; smart ass.

This time Anko created a Kage bunshin and made sure the bunshin stood still. This acually took some time to make happen as the Bunshin was just as stubborn as Anko herself. In fact it wasn't possible until Anko wrapped the thing in snakes to keep it still. The bunshin didn't attempt to break the jutsu as fighting would give the snakes a reason to bite. The bite would be fine but the venom would dispearse the bunshin. Even shadow clones fear death apparently.

With this in place, Anko told Ho exactly where the bunshin stood and forced Ho to repeatedly perfom the jutsu. The first of many tries ended up with Ho having a hand full of Snake tail. She was bitten twice and Anko had to waste precious anti-venom to keep the girl alive.

The fifth attempt saw Ho's hands come up just infront of the bunshin who stomped the girls fingers out of shear spite of having to be the test subject for this training.

Finally after two hours of trying Ho finally got the jutsu to work properly, it ended in Ho grabbing the Bunshin's ankles and yanking her down neck deep in the dirt. A snake snapped at her slamming it's snout against the forehead protector Ho had tied around her eyes.

Training of Earth Release: Inner Decapitation Technique complete. With much trail Uneki Ho has finally learned how to properly toss herself through the earth at an opponent. Now she just needs a sure fire way to find them.

Next chapter: Through the eyes of a cloud.

OKAY .. where shall I start.

You have some grammatical and spelling mistakes in your writing, but that is the least of the problems.

First of all I don't see any tree or water walking exercises so how can you channel chakra and perform jutsus in one or two posts (small posts might I add) In your last posts, you perform the jutsu almost instantly... taking more time to "find" the target rather than work on the jutsu itself. Next time put more trial and error into it or it won't count.

Secondly, the seal formation being as fast as Anko's?? Just because you are blind doesn't mean you use your hands better. Again, no trial an error. Anko puts your hands in a position once and you get it in a second. Sure her senses and whatever are heightened but not THAT much.

Thirdly, remember that wind carries smell. Not all butterflies have pollen on them and there's a lot of noise in a forest besides squirrels climbing around. Add a human feel to her. Right now she seems like some prodigy who can do w/e she feels like and then some just because she is blind and her senses are heightened. I suggest you meet a real blind kid and ask him what he smells and hears and w/e. Just to get a taste for how it is.

Fourthly, the whole "Feeling the touch and reacting" thing is fine with me, BUT again, Ho gets it in a short amount of time. Most of the time she stands around doing working on her positioning and movements when she has only minimal training with reflexes and such. You really have to explain A LOT better why and how she does the things she does and definitely put more trial and error into them. Also remember that in PvPs or missions or whatever, you have to say what you feel, hear, see, smell. In one of your posts, Anko attacks you and you fend her off like nothing, without even giving any explanations like "Her hand brushed against the hair's of Ho's wrist and a tingle went up her spine, letting her know a punch is on the way." You just assume that since she is blind she can do it no problem.

DO NOT make this blindness thing seem more advantageous than it really is.

Lastly (I'll have to confirm with Vis on this, but I'm pretty sure myself) without any proper chakra molding exercises Ho can suddenly mold Fire chakra in her right hand and Earth in her left ?! Yes, Yamato did that in the manga, but he is an ANBU member and you are a genin. You should be lucky to learn to walk on trees properly. You won't learn any fire jutsus until Chuunin, when you are allowed a secondary element so Earth is your primary element right now. I won't even try to think of how you managed to mold fire and earth chakra in different hands when you didn't even do water and tree walking.

0 xp Awarded ~~~ Learn Tree walking at least or your jutsus will be nullified !!
