Title: The Student Stopper
Rank: C
Pay: $130
Participants: Takahashi, Senshi, Tenjo, and Izawa
Description: Three academy students have been spotted plotting to steal an ancient sword from a local museum. We have information that they will meet at exactly six o'clock PM in one week. It would be easy for us to take them out but we need information on their motives and how they plan to steal the sword. That's why we need genin to move in and find out their motives. Do so in whichever way possible and try not to attack the students.

NOTE: This mission directly related to my storyline. In case the judge would like a little prologue of the mission to understand the situation further, I will give the following link ( http://forum.narutochaos.com/showthread.php?p=562263#post562263). (read post #15 - end of training thread). I will try to include a brief description of the prologue in the mission but the link is for more detail and hopefully, if you read it, you'll be able to enjoy the mission more. Thanks.

Confusion is like dark clouds, storming through your mind, painting over even glimpses of light. It blocks your senses and dulls your thinking, destroying the very core of your mind: common sense. It leaves you destroyed. Everything has failed and there is no way out. Confusion is a terrible thing, and every shinobi fears it.

This confusion phenomenon was exactly what Takahashi was experiencing. His cloak was barely dangling off his back and his head was tilted in a dreadful way. The reflection of his cluttered apartment filled his strange, red eyes. Eerie shadows danced across the apartments; even the sun was against him. It cast foreboding shadows, flickering here and there. There was no way one could follow it with their eyes.

The genin slowly got up and scampered across his room, unfolding a soggy and crumpled letter. The boy stood in front of the mirror and grimaced at his own appearance. Trying to straighten up his hair while strapping on his equipment pouch at the same time, the boy stumbled out of the door. He was going on another mission. His first hadn't been the best of experiences and now, he had to go on another. He read the letter aloud to himself one more time, the monotony of the letter had grown excruciating boring because it had been over-read. Senshi, Tenjo, Izawa. What was going on? 2 weeks ago, he had been cornered by the three of them led by Ray Iwazumi. They were obviously now genin as they promised. Dark thoughts fluttered through his head.

He had been told to meet the four of them by the Konoha Warehouses at this exact day. Could it be that these were the "Students" that needed stopping, the students that Takahashi was supposed to capture? How could it be? After all, the three Senshi, Tenjo, and Izawa were the ones that that would help him. Maybe it was all just a coincidence - Senshi, Tenjo, and Izawa just wanted to hang out and have fun... they, however, were assigned on a mission with him today. It had to be a coincidence.

The boy's footsteps echoed through the empty alleyways as he traveled to the Konoha Warehouses. It was obvious that the three wanted to meet Takahashi at the warehouses. That was, after all, where they were supposed to meet in the first place. Soon, the boy reached the looming warehouses where three shadows awaited. It was clear that they were Senshi, Tenjo, and Izawa.

Takahashi: Hey guys. So, what's the deal. We were supposed to meet here today, before we got this mission. Now, we meet here on a mission to capture a couple of guys who were anticipated to do some mischievous things here? What's the deal?

Izawa: Sup man. Don't start accusing us of doing something. For the record, the scroll said that the students would be at the museum right now, not here.

Tenjo: Yeah, so we better hurry.

Takahashi: The time was right though. How bout you tell me what we were going to do here anyway.

Senshi: Haha... We just wanted to hang out, maybe practice our skills together!

Takahashi: Alright, sorry then.

And they were on their way to the museum, but Takahashi had a bad feeling about something.

Takhashi lost no time in searching the entire museum for any signs of intrusion. They had arrived promptly at the museum and had checked to make sure the ancient sword was still there. After that was confirmed, they turned on all the lights of the museum as a deterrent. Takahashi doubted that would deter persistent intruders but it might at least throw them off. The red-eyed genin immediately took the position as team leader since he was the oldest. Surprisingly, the others didn’t object.

Takahashi ordered the other three to guard the entrances by standing on the roof-tops. There, they would have a clear view at the landscape and could jump down on any intruder. Happily accepting their mission, they sprinted out of the museum to guard the doors. Takahashi himself sat nimbly on top of the glass display case and admired the sword. He could see why it was a treasure. It seemed that a famous shinobi general under the First Kazekage wielded the sword. It had many rubies and sapphires engraved in the hilt; Takahashi doubted it was solely for aesthetic purposes.

Minutes passed: long, silent, and tense minutes. At even a speck of noise, Takahashi’s ears pricked up. His eyes warily kept watch on the premises, ready for any intruder to pop out and attack him. He placed a hand on the red hilt of his katana. Even though a sense of urgency pulsed in his veins, so did a sense of excitement. The conflicting emotions made the boy’s eyes narrow and his body to grow more feline. His spine bent as he perched on the glass case. He smiled a toothy smile… a smile of glee and joy, mirth and hunger.

The urgency came from the situation at hand. Three intruders could be anywhere. He had to hide when they came so he could find their motives and the way in which they would try to steal the sword. The excitement came from the mission, which was quite to the contrary with anything he had done. He imagined himself to be a powerful jounin getting ready to bust a infamous criminal. He was ready for anything. He imagined that he had an arsenal of over thirty jutsu that could be used at his disposal.

He imagined the enemy, dressed in black, charging in and performing seals. However, he would be there to stop the criminal, brandishing his powerful red katana out against the opponents, afraid of nothing. Alas, he saw himself sitting on the case, without even two jutsu, getting ready to capture mischievous academy students; Takahashi sighed. Regardless, he could make this mission into an exciting one.

Suddenly, footsteps could be heard in the distance, pattering steadily through the empty hallways of the museum. The footsteps grew louder and louder signifying the enemy approaching nearer and nearer. Takahashi’s eyes narrowed, his hair bristled, and he let out the faintest of growls. There was more than one pair of footsteps resounding through the hallway. They were the only things that emanated from the desolate museum: the pattering of the footsteps.

Suddenly, three faces emerged. Takahashi was already in a leaping stance, getting ready to jump on the enemy. However, all he found was Tenjo, Senshi, and Izawa! They looked at him questioningly after seeing his attack stance. Taka put on an abashed face and hopped lightly off the glass case to question the three younger genin. They asked to check the sword to make sure it wasn’t a phony. Takahashi’s mind pulsed. Suspicion emanated through his body but he didn’t let it be visible through his facial expression.

Takahashi: Sure. I’ll check it… why don’t you guys go back to your stations.?

Izawa: C’mon cap! We’re bored. It’s ok, we’ll check to see if it is a phony. We learned how in the academy..

Takahashi: Well, alright.

They quickly went to the case and opened in carefully. Takahashi carefully kept his eye on the three. Izawa took the sword in his hand and began tapping it in random spots. The red-eyed genin had a slight suspicion that he didn’t know what he was doing. He saw the other two eye the door and immediately, almost unconsciously put his hand on the hilt of his katana. The movement made the three flinch a little and they, eying his katana, put the sword back in the case and turned to leave.

Takahashi: So, what was the results?

Tenjo: Oh, oops. Sorry, well… it’s not a phony.

They turned to leave and the Ketsueki Genin rolled his eyes to the back of their heads in a rude manner and perched on the sword. Takahashi was now 75% sure that they were traitorous. It was the first act of suspicion… hopefully, no more would come; Takahashi doubted it. As he stood perching on the glass case, the night wore on. He would have to be here all night. If by the morning, no thief came, he would report back to the Kazekage. Although he hoped that the team’s presence had deterred any possible intruders, Takahashi guiltily wished for a little excitement… maybe some intruders.

The night wore on and Takahashi’s eyes dropped yet lower. Outside the museum, dark shapes pranced around. Flickering shadows mingled with eerie winds, joining in a dreary dance. Takahashi’s hair bristled at even the inkling of betrayal. In the beginning of the mission, the chances of betrayal were slim but after the recent encounter, the chances had gone up.

Suddenly, Izawa came into the room, startling a Takahashi who was deep in thought. Izawa was wearing a large smile where all of his teeth showed. It looked fake; he was obviously hiding something. Suspiciously, the genin eyed Izawa so intensely that the younger genin glanced backwards to see if the red-eyed genin was staring at something behind him. Swallowing uncomfortably after confirming that he was the one Takahashi was staring at, Izawa walked to the sword and opened the case.

Izawa: Haha. Well, we heard some noises outside and thought that someone might be in here. So, Tenjo sent me here to help you guard.

Takahashi: It’s really ok. I can stay here and guard by myself!

Izawa: Please! I don’t want to go back. Tenjo might yell at me and make fun of me.

There was almost a mocking tone in his voice but Takahashi disregarded it. Hopping back onto the glass case, the black-haired genin tilted his head back and balanced his weight precariously on the container. Meanwhile, Izawa took up a comfortable position in the back of the room. He stood there tossing a kunai up and down idly while caustically eyeing the surroundings. Suddenly, with a flurry of movements a figure in a dark cloak jumped from one wall of the room to the other. Takahashi jumped out of his perch to intercept the man while he was jumping. The man let out a grunt and sped away as fast as possible. Looking back at the glass case, Takahashi saw Izawa holding the sword in his hands. The boy almost flung all of is weight on Izawa and yelling traitor; he resisted the temptation and instead walked quickly up to Izawa and snatched the sword out of his hand.

The weight of the sword was extraordinary. Compared to the gleaming red katana that hung from his belt, this sword was like a ton of brick. This must be an extremely cumbersome weapon to wield into battle. After Takahashi pondered over this, he realized that a Zanbato is also an extremely unwieldy weapon but is still used. It all required training. Placing the sword back into its case and glaring at Izawa, Takahashi plopped himself down on the glass case.

Takahashi: Don’t ever touch this sword again on this mission, ya hear?

It was the first warning. Takahashi would keep an eye on the three younger genin. Now, he truly believed that they were planning to steal the sword. Also, who was the masked man darting around? Takahashi would have to keep a close watch on his surroundings. He had a feeling that he was surrounded by enemies.

A hint of light could be noticed at the horizon. Takahashi didn’t know what time it was, but it had to be late… or early, depending on how you look at it. His eyes were drooping and his entire body was numb. Both feet were asleep and his head bobbed up and down while he was dozing off. The methodic bobbing of head grew lower and lower and his mind threatened to fall asleep. However, Takahashi resisted.

Suddenly, a loud thud could be heard in the distance. Startling the genin and shocking him out of his drowsy state, the boy jumped up and looked around. He stood in a crouched position, his knees touching the ground. One hand was wrapped tightly around his red katana while the other was in his pouch, reaching for several kunai. He stood in that position for five whole minutes that seemed like a lifetime. No more sounds came and the boy relaxed. Suddenly, another thud came. Immediately tensing up, the boy sprung into the air and hung upside-down on the ceiling.

Suddenly, noises could be heard outside and Tenjo burst into the room, shouting murder.

Tenjo: I think we found the enemy! Come quickly… we need your help.

. Looking at the kunai, explosive note, and damage-resistant case, Takahashi planted one explosive note at the bottom on the floor right next to the display and sped off after Tenjo. Eying his surroundings as he ran pas a double door and up a stair-case, he couldn’t help but get the feeling that something was awry. The boy jumped through the air and landed nimbly at the main entrance by the front of the museum. The three boys were also there, eying the surroundings. Izawa grabbed him and together, they ducked. Without a sound, the team of four listened for five minutes. When five minutes was up, Izawa let go of Takahashi and shrugged. Suddenly, the genin got a horrible feeling. Sprinting through the museum, the boy ran all the way back to the sword. Standing by the sword was none other than… Ray! Blinking, the boy looked again. Indeed, standing in front of the sword case, was Ray Iwazumi! Sighing, Takahashi closed his eyes and began laughing. He lauged a cold and harsh laugh, one of bitter harmony.

Turning to leave, Ray glanced back and shook his head. Suddenly, an explosion shook the museum. Ray was blasted back and fell into the wall. The sword was safely in the case and Takahashi had prevented Ray from stealing it. Turning to leave, the boy rounded up Tenjo, Izawa, and Senshi. He suspected them of being accomplices, but had no proof. He would let the Kazekage know… but for now…. Mission Complete

To me the mission was just plain. Your enemy I felt should of put up more of a fight (seeing as supposely they graduated the academy 1 note shouldn't of taken them out). That and your only job during the mission was info gathering. Meaning all you should of done was info gathering as fighting genin is actually B rank and would of never been assigned to you. That and I would of prefered to see the mission go on for another ~500-1000 words atleast

There wasn't much issue with word usage and/or grammer and compared to most of your other writing it's getting better.
