I would hate if 4kids took over Naruto. They are by far the worst dubbing company around. Just watch the atrocity that is Shaman King and you will see what I mean

I'm all for it being moved. I wasn't sure if they were talking about actual kids or the company. But I see it's the company so yeah, it should be in the dubbed section. Who cares about dubbed stuff anyways? We can find any episode online with subs.

After watching the Japanese versions of the anime, I have zero interest in watching the dubbed episodes. Well that and the fact that the Japanese version is so much further than the American one. I am not quite sure where it's at on Cartoon Network anymore, but I'd guess maybe episode 120something. Either way, it's like 3 years behind.

In the dub they just got to the drunken Rock Lee fight. He was drinking "elixir" not alcohol. That was the dumbest thing I have ever witnessed

I'm pretty sure Viz owns the rights to Naruto in the USA, and since it's one of their biggest earners, syndicated on the Cartoon Network, and YTV in Canada. They are unlikely to give up the series to Fox, which has a history of going after the kiddiest shows, like Kirby, Sonic, One Piece, and Shaman King.

To have a show mainly composed of violent conflicts, and then trying not to show it, is like having a beach without the water. It just plain SUCKS.

Well I don't see what's wrong if tehy take over, they did or VIZ megaman nt warrior and axess and I thought it was good. I mean he did the loopy fist so he wasn't so called drunk. And I doubt have the american viewers will know what sake is. I wouldn't mind I like naruto dub and watch it ever saturday. It one 128 after gaara barely defeats kimi.

I always believed that dubbed japanese anime in english was the biggest mistake ever, take a look at the 1986 anime Saint seiya, it is considered to be the most beautiful anime in the world, when it was exported to europe it was french dubbed which was ok it retained its true value cos the french kept the original soundtrack throughout all the anime, what the english dubbed version did on the other hand was a catastrophe, they changed the soundtrack and even replaced the red color of blood by a stupid blue color ...because apparently it was a violent anime......and that was dumb..

so french dubbed it twice?

cause the french version we got was
A) censored so much they had to use two episode to make one censored ones
B) Dialogs were changed significantly
C) Most voices sucked big time

I agree with B) the problem was that they could not translate japanese efficiently,
and C) they were understaffed ...so same person could dub two or even three characters in the same episode..which was weired.

Lol, sake is sold in pretty much every liquor store in Canada, so I would guess it's pretty common in the US also.

You can get sake at almost any liquor store in the US. You ust gotta ask for it cause it is usually behind the counter. Americans will pay extra just cause something is "foreign". Even if it is made by Budweiser

Hmmm....I don't know actually. I only know it comes on Cartoon Network at some point during the week. I am actually a noob the watching anime online. I've only been doing so for maybe a year. But since then I stopped watching anime on TV since I'm so much ahead online. Plus after hearing the Japanese voices I just don't get the same feeling from the characters in the dub.

The manga and anime are both done by Viz in America, then syndicated to the Cartoon Network.
