MORIA RETURNS!! After taking 1000 shadows, 10 times that of Nightmare Luffy, he has gone wild, it doesn't look like that he will be an easy opponent for the Strawhats ...

Now what will the strawhats do, and what will Luffy do ...

Well Luffy said he was going to go crazy with Gear 2, so it looks like he is going to try and weaken Moria as much as possible and then once he runs out of gas the rest of the Straw Hats will take care of the rest...

I reckon we will see Zoro's Asura...

What i can't understand is that Moria is like 10 times of Nightmare Luffy, and Luffy's Gear 2 is all about speed boost with a little power up, if it was Gear 3 i would have accepted it ... so how is he gonna fight Moria who is like a monster with 1000 shadows ... And they also have to be careful since the Dawn is also here ...

Well for something that large speed would work better than power. He is most likely thinking of finding the weak point and then letting the crew deal with it. Imo, Gear 3 wont work in my opinion...

I see Luffy finding the weakness and then the rest of the crew comboing Moria to hell...

Perhaps Moria has taken to many shadows. Nightmare Luffy was both very strong and very agile while Moria has grown to be massive. He may be physically stronger but I think he will have real problems actually hitting any of the Strawhats especially when Luffy is in 2nd gear.

It was mentioned in the previous chapter that Moria lost control of himself and is just running wild ... Well after taking all the shadows this was likely to happen but i am guessing that once Moria goes down and loses consciousness, he will lose control of all the shadows and it's likely the shadows will be released and will return to their owners ...

I think that "losing control" was refering to Luffy rather than Moria. Luffy was telling his crew that he was going to go a bit crazy and for the crew to take care of everything afterwords.

Nah, i checked it again it was Zoro and Robin in the last page saying that he has completely gone out of control and is running wild, they even said that he had no reason to fight now ... Luffy at that time didn't even started to fight yet ...

I really want to see a good teamwork in this fight like it happened against Oz, where Luffy gave the final blow ... in this fight the other teammates will give the final blow to Moria while Luffy will start the fight ...

I like how this arc has had a emphasis on teamwork over individual skill. In all the other arcs they would split up and fight on their own so I think this arc has been a nice change from the other ones.

I think that this arc is like a build-up for the strawhats before they continue into the New World ... This arc actually tells us that no matter how difficult the opponent is, don't lose and don't run away ... And all what we have heard of the New World is that its a new kind of sea which is totally different then the rest of the Grand Line ... so i think that Oda is preparing the strawhats for the New World ...

BTW, is it only me that think that Luffy can learn/get a new technique in this fight ...

I don't see how Luffy will win in the small amount of time he has if he doesn't come up with something new. Perhaps it will be 1st gear or something I've wondered why he started with 2nd gear.

He even said that he will go wild and he will leave the rest to his teammates, which also somehow points to something new ...

I am assuming 1st gear is his normal fighting mode. Maybe he has developed something new in Gear 2...

Yes Luffy wil properly have some kind of new technique maybe gear fourth or sometjing like that. But he will need it against Moria becuase he is just getting insanely by the fact the fact that he split apart an island with just one attack.
And just how will the strawhats try to fight and try to keel away from the sun at the same time?

I don't think that Gear 2 is enough to push back Moria or to hurt him ... Luffy seriously needs something new, and especially after this fight they will be heading to the new world, so they must show what they are capable of ...

What if his new technique is a combo of Gear 2 and 3 ... super strength + super speed ...

I don't think so, personally he just got Gear 2 and 3, imo he hasn't explored them to the fullest.

I think its not a matter of exploring them to the fullest, its actually that he never really got the chance to use them, like he recently used Gigantic Bazooka on Oz which he never used before as far as i know ... I personally think he knows what he is capable of and he will surely try to make something new this time ...

Given that the emphasis of this arc almost seems to be teamwork in battle so that may continue.

Yeah, the emphasis seems to be on teamwork, Moria may realize that the reason his old crew got pwned in the new world is cause they didn't really work together as a cohesive unit. Imo, i don't wanna see another gear...

But if you look what Luffy was saying it looks like that he will be trying to take on Moria alone or this at least in the beginning of this fight. Maybe Luffy just try weakens Moria out, And after that the whole crew togheter finish Moria with some kind of combo technique.

From what Luffy said is that he will go wild and try give as much damage he can to Moria but the rest depends on his team cause he is not in his top condition to take on Moria+1000 shadows right now ... and don't forget the dawn is also there ...

I know Luffy has never seemed to show much restraint when fighting anybody.

It would be funny if Moria despite his great size was as fast as Luffy is in 2nd gear. Or if in the end its Morias great size that safes the Strawhats from the dawn.

Wow it looks like Moria is being beaten the living hell out of him. I would've thought that Luffy alone would have some more diffuculty with batteling Moria, but it looks like Luffy is able to defeat Moria in just one chapter or am i mistaking. Because it looks like in the last spoiler pic that he is spitting al off the shadows out.

despite having being hit heavily by Luffy 3 times Moria holds on

Ussop: a thousand shadows is too much even for moria!!
Moria: Fragment Bats!!

using the bats to create a box, he boxes luffy in
Luffy: i'm trapped!
Moria: Shatter!!

Moria pushes luffy in to a wall and starts his attack

Moria gets KOed

In a final clash Luffy's bone jet bullet hits Moria in the stomach
Moria is crushed and falls along with the tower and throws up shadows

What is this gear giganto, is it an total new gear from Luffy or is it just geer third and someone gave it an bit other name.

Wow they're on fire but if the only way to get out the shadows is to beat them out of him a few at a time then Luffy needs to hurry up.

I think this chapter will see the end of the actual fight, next chapter will be dialogue between not beaten Moria and Luffy. There is my estimate.

Dude, Luffy probably could have beaten Oz together with his crew even without all of those shadows he used. Gear second and third aren't something to laugh at.

I am sure further down the line he well get maybe another gear and learn new abilities using his rubber body but now isn't the time for him to gain new abilities to get even stronger considering he went all the way to CP9 arc only learning how to fight better, without gaining things like that. It would be too soon to get another gear.

Next chapter he probably learns to utilize gear second better so it doesn't make him as tired or something? I am sure he will end the fight with the next chapter though. Then few more chapters of this arc wrapping up them getting their shadows back and also us learning why kuma is there.

Dude, Luffy probably could have beaten Oz together with his crew even without all of those shadows he used. Gear second and third aren't something to laugh at.
I don't think that Luffy could have beaten Oz without the help of the shadows, Oz is a zombie he doesn't feel pain, it would take a a lot of effort from the strawhats to actually beat Oz ... While Moria is human, (O.O - really!), he does feel pain and that's exactly the reason why he threw up all the shadows when Luffy beat the crap outta him ...

I am sure that Kuma doesn't have any hidden agenda, besides he just wanted to tell Moria about the new SB, the Govt just assigned ...

I can see this happening, as at the end of the chapter Moria did said, "You'll face the TRUE nightmare in the New World!" ... so it could be that Oda wanted to show how strong the yonkou actually are and what are the horrors of New World ...

I think that at first at least Luffy will only have to worry about 2 of the Yonkou. Because Shanks is his friend and Whitebeard may let him do as he pleases out of respect for Ace at least until he tries to take the title of Pirate King at which point Luffy will be in conflict with all of them.

But the yonkou aren't jet an problem for Luffy, But that will properly change over a few dosens of chapters. But first after the triller bark the strawhats still have to go to the fishman island where possible another Shichibukai is waiting for them.

Well there are 3 Yonkou but so many Shishibukai so kinda shows your their power. I dont think Shanks or Whitebeard would bug Luffy too much until he makes his way up the New World.

I think there are 4 yonkou. Kaidou may be the next problem for the Strawhats or it was just an introduction for a yonkou assuming he's a yankou.

I also think that the next enemy they will encounter will be a Yonkou, since the new world is famous because of them ...

I'm a little suprised that he combined both of his gears. Though its a really good idea as the weakness of 3rd gear is its slow attack and the faster he can move that massive arm the more damage he can do.

I am truly amazed at what Moria said, "You should go and take a look for youself...!! The true "Nightmare" is in the "New World"......!!" ...

I am really surprised that how the rolling and even Luffy are commanding their shadows to come back ... Even Moria can't control all these shadows, he's doomed ...

I think that when he punched the ship in the last chapter he made the tower unstable and Luffy may have knocked Moria into it.
