Ketsueki Clan
(Blood Clan)

History: The Ketsueki Clan traces it's roots to the medical ninja Naguda, who did many experiments on blood and developed ninjutsu around them. After her son Kotun began splicing animal blood with that of humans they were evicted for the village they were inhabiting. The The remaining Ketsueki's split up and lived mostly as ninja for hire, Kotun, wanting to redeem himself spent his last years working on a second style which is named after him.

The clan was imperiled again by the coming of a new genius within the clan, a young man named kinato. Kinato was frightened of death beyond anything else after seeing his father a man of incredible skill die he realized that no existing jutsu could help him avoid it and decided to make his own. eventually he developed a jutsu that would allow the user to remove organs from other people and add them to their own body, lengthening their own lifespan. He kept his talent secret from the clan but when he began to age he snuck into kohona and stole a lung from one of it's inhabitants.

Kohona's Anbu traced it back to the ketsueki clan and demanded they hand over the perpetrator. Kinato expected his village to support him, and was astonished when they decided to hand him over to kohona. Taking a select group of followers he attacked both the ketsueki clan and the kohona ANBU. The clan scattered, fearing Anbu would attack them, and Kinato after a pitched battle with the Anbu fled.

Since then the clan has lived mostly scattered and has not had much interaction between it's members. A man called Seyne tried to reunite them but was found brutally murdered and missing most of his internal organs before a meeting with the head of each family. When a ketsueki member was visiting kohona he heard reports of an dead akatsuki member called Kazzuko who used techniques very similar to that of kinato's. Shishio, seyne's grandson, realized the importance of this news, kinato and his followers were still active and obviously held a grudge against the clan.

Shishio secretly reunited the clan and after a search found that three villages kohona, suna and kumo had all yet to be infiltrated by Kinato. Shishio spread the members between each village so that if one was infiltrated all was not lost. Shishio began a hidden war against the followers of kinato, trying to root out their operatives and kill as many of them while they tried to do the same to him.




Description: All clan members belong to one of two styles, Naguda or Kotun. The Naguda style relies on the manipulation of blood inside the body and using the blood of animals to augment yourself. Kotun Focuses on external manipulations using the blood for ninjutsu.

Ketsueki Kotun

Many Kotun Jutsu involve the creation of hard scabs, the table below shows
how hard these scabs will be. In the Jutsu this is referred to as the “above chart” or the “above table
1 training session= weak, will cause slight puncture wounds then break
2 training session = can pierce flesh but will shatter against metal or wood
3 training session = harder then wood, able to some damage to bones will shatter on metal
4 training session = hard as metal able to break bones, cut wood
5 training session = harder then steel


Genin Jutsu


Name: Nechinechi Ketsueki
Type: C Rank Ninjutsu
Function: Short-Range, Supplementary
The user of Nechinechi Ketsueki, fires a bolt of blood at a target from an open wound on the user's hand(s). Prior to firing, the jutsu user concentrates the platelet count in the blood that is to be used. This creates a viscus blood "bullet" that begins to dry within moments of it's exposure to the air. In it's pre solidifying state, Nechinechi Ketsueki acts as a strong adhesive, binding whatever it touches together. In this form, Nechinechi Ketsueki has a tensile strength of 10lbs, meaning it takes 10lbs of force to resist/defy the adhesive effect. However, the blood dries very quickly, becoming a chitin like scab that restrains the target. The durability of the chitin scab depends on the user's ability to manipulate the scab form of their blood( see above table). Nachinechi Ketsueki may also be created within the user's mouth, without the need for an open wound.

The user forces chakra into their blood which forms it into the desired shape, and then becomes quite hard. The size of the object determines the amount of blood used which is why large objects like katana are rarely created and small weapons like senbon are quite common. The hardness of the final shape depends on the amount of time spent training in the forming of scabs.


Name: Ketsueki Kansai

Type: Ninjutsu, trap
The user, often by feigning injury, leaves a trail of blood leading to them, though this blood seems to have fallen at random intervals it always is in the shape of two bloody lines (broken is some places) back to the user. The blood is actually chakra charged and when the signs are finished will form two strips of chakra charged blood which will wrap around a target when they are between or near the two lines. Thus temporarily immobilizing it and binding it. Though it is easier to use and will bind someone more tightly then Nechinechi Ketsueki it is far weaker and once the initial surprise is over all it takes is a concentrated effort to break free



Name: Ketsueki Mori

Type: ninjutsu, long range
The user cuts long thin line in the flesh of their arm causing a thin line of blood to appear on the cut. The user forces the blood to solidify and harden forming a lance with a single sharp point at the end which lies parallel to the arm. The flesh under most the blood lance scabs up normally except under the rear where it is still rooted in flesh. The user can expend a certain amount of chakra to launch the blood lance out of their arm, the lance is extremely light and can fly long distances, however it is difficult to aim and is extremely unwieldy before it is fired

Name: Ketsueki A-mu

Type: ninjutsu short range
The user forms a single small tendril of blood from an open wound, the tendril has a hard tipped point and is capable of penetrating flesh. There is little force behind it’s blows so it will be stopped by a barrier or weapon, the majority of the tendril is still liquid blood and can be easily broken by blow or weapon, causing it to shorten.

Chuunin Jutsu

Name: Ketsueki Testu

Type: Ninjutsu short range
The user creates four tendrils of blood from cuts on their bodies, they then concentrate all the iron in those tendrils to the tips of the tendrils allowing them to be used to for direct attacks. The rest of the tendril is still liquid and vulnerable to attack. The tendril can stretch as long as the user wishes but it takes more and more blood so usually they are kept at five feet. The tendrils have enough strength to direct the users course in air but are not able to support the users body weight.

Type: Ninjutsu defensive
The user can excrete blood from wounds or cuts until it covers a single limb, when that is finished the blood solidifies creating a rock hard scab which serves as armor around that limb. The limb is not capable of much dexterity but is heavily armored so it can block attacks and does greater damage even though it limits movement.

Name: Hiru Firu

Type: Summon, offensive
The user having already summoned the standard leech an use this jutsu to cause it to vomit forth ten tiny burrowing leeches, these leeches spread out and attempt to suck blood from any creature in range. Any blood they suck builds up inside of them and when they reach full capacity or are destroyed the blood is channeled back into the original leech. Removing the leech by crushing it or burning it off causes the leech to leave it’s teeth behind still attached to the target.

Name: Ketsueki Kusari

Type: ninjutsu, defensive
The user leaves behind a pool of blood charged with their chakra, at any time the user can cause the blood to be formed into hard scab chains which wrap around the target and hold them in place. The target must be within five feet of the puddle but the jutsu is most effective when the target is touching it. The chains remain anchored in the point of origin which is the center of the puddle. There are two versions of this jutsu, No. 1 The user creates the chain and leaves it, the chain is as hard as they can make their scabs(see above table). No. 2 the user creates the chain and maintains contact with it, this allows the user to use their own blood to repair the chain, however the chain disintegrates if they loose contact

Name: Ketsueki Ihokou

Type: Ninjutsu offensive
The user after having executed this jutsu can cause a pool or splatter of blood to animate into a single tendril, this tendril is not under the users control but will attempt to attack the users designated target. The size and strength of the tendril depends on the amount of blood in the original splatter, once it is animated though the tendril can absorb any blood it comes in contact with to make itself larger. When the tendril is created the user designates a target which that tendril will pursue until destroyed.

Jounin Jutsu

Name: Kossa sobu Ketsueki

Type: supplementary, defensive
The user focuses their chara inside them into their own blood stream creating a small amount of specialized blood, the user can then move that specialized blood to any part of the body, when an attack hits the body part the blood is occupying and causes it to come out the blood turns into a rock hard scab the instant it touches air, a weapon delivering the attack is instantly caught in the scab.

Chigiri no Aka Kotetsu [Vow of Red Steel]

Function: Fuujin, Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
By placing this four point Fuujin seal on any object made of metal, the user of Chigiri no Aka Kotetsu can increase the object's effect nearly ten fold! Once the user's own blood is spilled onto the seal, the seal activates, projecting the still fluid blood into a larger version of the object the Chigiri no Aka Kotetsu is attached to. Blades become 1/3 longer, sharper and wider, armor's defense becomes duplicated. The chakra matrix that makes up the seal propels the blood in a never ending cycle of ebb and flow, while keeping a gravitational pull on the blood itself. The blood will never touch the metal object, but will "hover" approximately 1" away from the sealed object. Because the blood is not actually connected to the user's body, it adds no additional weight or strain on the user. At any point, the flowing blood can be hardened into a chitin like scab.

The user, after having summoned the standard leech, has it spew forth a thousand smaller leeches that have been living in swallowed egg sacs. These little leeches are hungry for blood, they squirm and burrow at rapid speeds creating a wave of leeches heading towards the target. When they reach it they attempt to drain as much blood as is possible, squirming over each other until the target either escapes or they drain it of almost all blood. At any time half of the leeches in the swarm are above ground and the other half are below. Single attacks are relatively ineffective and area of effect attacks are recommended in destroying the swarm. If they consume enough blood to create a Ketsueki buushin and there are still at least half of the swarm remaining then the little leeches come together to form a second giant sized leech.

The user creates many strong tendrils of blood from their open wounds, these tendrils are very strong and the tips are hard and sharp. They are strong enough to lift the user off the ground and carry them up walls and over obstacles. The tendrils are able to push off the ground when the user is in mid air allowing for split second course changes. They can be used for attacks but only at close range since none of them are longer then five feet

Ketsueki Naguda

The Naguda discipline was originally created by The medical ninja Naguda, who later founded the Ketsueki clan. She created many of her techniques originally as medical Jutsu and then adapted them for combat. Some of her experiments lead to her son to develop Jutsu in which the user took blood from an animal and spliced it with their own. Naguda jutsus revolve around more subtle manipulation of blood. Oftentimes the user is manipulating someone else’s blood to augment themselves or weaken their target.
For a lot of Jutsu you need to corrupt the opponents blood, this can be done by injecting a portion of your own blood into the target, the jutsu has previously been performed on that blood.



Genin Jutsu

Name: Ketsueki Kaori
Rank: C rank
Type: Ninjutsu, debilitation
The user can inject the target with a small amount of their blood, this blood circulate until it reaches either the nose or eyes. When it reaches the eye’s the excess blood builds up in the blood vessels until the vessel pops and the blood runs over the eye impairing sight. If the user chooses for the blood to target the nose the blood causes a slow nosebleed, filling the targets nostrils with the scent of blood

Name: Omokage Ketsueki
Rank: C rank
Type: Ninjutsu, surveilance
The user imparts a small amount of their blood into the target, or channels some chakra into their targets bloodstream. This blood remains rather non intrusive and is not identified as bacteria by the body’s white blood cells. At any time the user can expend chakra to find the location of this blood. Because of the nature of the Jutsu it only tells them the precise line of sight the blood is in, if they are hiding it will not tell you the distance the blood is from you only the precise direction it is in. this lasts for 1 hour

The user injects some of their own blood into their targets body, that blood has had the white blood cells signals confused so that they consider platelet’s (cells that make blood clot) bacteria and begin destroying them. With the platelet count lowered cuts take far longer to stop bleeding, eventually the corrupted white blood cells are destroyed by the normal white blood cells but it takes awhile for the platelet count to climb back to normal



Name: Ketsueki Kademono

Type: ninjutsu ,augmentation
The user drinks a small portion of an animal’s blood (it need not be fresh) and uses the information from it to adapt their body to become more like that animal. They expend chakra to enact this transformation which lasts until the user deactivates it.
Rheus Monkey: The user’s feet become more flexible and they gain prehensile toes, allowing them to use their feet with nearly as much proficiency as their hands.
Rabbit: The user increases muscle mass in their legs giving them greater speed and leg strength.
Mole: the user gains the ability to sense movement from vibrations in the earth as well as very good hearing, however their eyesight decreases greatly and they can be blinded by bright light if they rely on their eyesight too much.

Name: Forced anemic

Discipline: Naguda
This Jutsu is much like Forced ITP in that it requires blood to be inside an opponent and that blood must have been corrupted via chakra, the difference is that instead of attacking and destroying platelets they attack and destroy red blood cells limiting the amount of oxygen that can be brought to the muscles. The heart has to accelerate to compensate for this as do the lungs this tires out the target forcing them to work harder for movements that would usually come easily.

Chuunin Jutsu

Souhou no Kyuuketsuki [Touch of the Vampire]

Function: Short-Ranged, Ninjutsu
Upon using this Jutsu, small pores open up in the user's finger tips. When these pores come in contact with blood, they quickly begin to pulsate and attempt to siphon up the blood. If direct contact with a foe's artery is made, the pores will quickly suck up a great deal of blood. If contact is not severed in a few minutes, lack of blood can cause death.

Function: Ninjutsu, augmentation
The user drinks a small portion of an animal’s blood (it need not be fresh) and uses the information from it to adapt their body to become more like that animal. They expend chakra to enact this transformation which lasts until the user deactivates it.
Rheus Monkey: the user’s agility greatly increases as their legs and feet grow even more to be just as dexterous as the arms.
Rabbit: the user is able to leap 3 times higher then normal and their speed increases
Mole: The user begins to secrete the mole’s paralytic spittle and can fire this poison, when it makes contact with flesh it begins to numb it and will paralyze it if enough gets on.
Large feline: The user’s fingernails lengthen and harden into claws, their hearing increases and they grow a reflective layer behind the retina to increase night vision.
Wolf: The user gains an increased sense of smell, and is able to tell the general direction of an opponent by their scent. The user also gains powerful jaws.
Bull: this increases the overall strength of the user by a large amount, though it does detract from agility.

Name: Sepakku Ketsueki

Type: Ninjutsu, debilitating
The user injects their blood into the opponent, the chakra in the blood is distributed evenly throughout the bloodstream and then works to greatly increase the blood pressure. This puts increased strain n the veins meaning that trauma may cause them to burst creating internal bleeding and when a wound is initially made blood will spurt out at an alarming rate.

Type: summoning supplementary
The user drinks a small portion of the blood from the standard summoned vampire bat, then using the information in this bat’s blood can use chakra to cause newly developed cells to form a thermoreceptive gland in the retina and the part of the brain designed to decode signals from it. These glands are found in vampire bats and allow the bat to see thermal radiation as well as normal vision. The human user must switch between the two (done instantaneously) but can spend chakra to improve the thermal vision allowing them to see far more distinct changes in temperature. When looking at a warm blooded animal it means they can see the veins of blood running through them, though maintaining this for a long time takes huge amounts of chakra.

Jounin Jutsu

Name: Yaiba Hru Mikotu

Type: summoning
The user, after summoning the standard leech, draws a small seal upon it’s back and then performs the jutsu which causes the leech to extend it’d proboscis and detach it. Before this is done the leech uses it razor sharp teeth to file down the bony proboscis into a sharp edged sword. The summoner can then use the sword as a weapon, it is as hard and sharp as steel but extremely thin. The blade takes on a life of it’s own as soon as it digs into flesh, twisting so that the blade is in contact with the most amount of veins, any blood touching the sword is absorbed and sent back to the leech it comes from. If the sword is removed while it is absorbing blood it vomits up a portion of the blood it swallowed into the wound, this causes infections and intense pain from the stomach acid in the vomit.

The user expends large amounts of chakra to enact this transformation, after having drunk blood from their summoned bat, they cause their bones to become hollow and light (still strong through a honeycomb shape). Their body becomes far lighter and they grow small claws on the end of their hands. The user also grows wings that are not strong enough to allow flight but are very good for gliding.

Type: debilitating
The user insets some of their own blood into the target. This corrupted blood then releases a signal that either reverses or accelerates the process under which platelets (thrombocytes) are created. If reversed the platelets re-attach themselves to the cells they originally break off from resulting in far too runny blood. This means the blood begins leaking through the veins and causing internal bleeding. If accelerated the body produces too many platelets causing the blood to clot in some places inside the vein. This can greatly restrict the amount of blood that can flow through points in the circulatory system.

Type: augmentation
The user drinks a small portion of an animal’s blood (it need not be fresh) and uses the information from it to adapt their body to become more like that animal. They expend chakra to enact this transformation which lasts until the user deactivates it.
Rheus Monkey: the user grows a tail which is strong enough to hold up their body weight and becomes incredibly agile.
Rabbit: The user’s legs become slightly larger and more elongated to fit the enormous amount of muscle that grows there. The user is incredibly quick and has earthshatering kicks.
Mole: The front teeth merge together into a powerful tool that can cut through most substances. They gain the incredibly quick bite of the star nosed mole being able to swallow prey in under 300 milli seconds.
Large feline: the user’s claws sharpen and harden, the user becomes quite agile and flexible. They can see as well in the dark as they can in the light.
Wolf: the user is able to track people over great distances through scent and also grows powerful fangs capable of cutting through most substances.
Bull: the user grows horns and is able to build up a massive amount of momentum when charging, again the general amount of muscle on the body increases at the cost of agility.
Mongoose: The user grows receptors for acetylcholine that just like those in snakes make it impossible for neurotoxins to affect them. They also become quicker and gain a bristling coat of fur that does not slow them down but makes them seem bigger so the enemy can’t tell if they’re hitting fur or flesh.

Summon Abilities

Leeches

Leeches are practically useless in combat, they move extremely slowly and have no arms or legs to defend themselves with. Leeches however have a large supply of blood that is easily replenished. The first leech that can be summoned is a large leech the size of the user’s torso.

Chuunin Abilities

The leech can burrow and
has four times the blood of the summoner.


Jounin abilities

In addition to the chuunin abilities the summoned leech has 6 times the blood of the user



Vampire Bats

Vampire bats are quick and powerful, able to fly when carrying little weight and attack with the claws and fangs. Vampire bats have half of the blood of their summoner so using their blood in jutsu’s puts far more stress on the bat then it would a human. The vampire bats summoned are larger then a human with a relatively large wingspan.

Chuunin abilities

The vampire bat has echolocation so it is able to see the position of solid matter without light, its claws are hard and able to easily rip through flesh.


Jounin abilities

The bat is strong enough to carry the user during flight and has the same amount of blood as the user, it is incredibly agile in the air as well as being skilled on the ground. It can hold it’s own in a fight against most ninja

Genin Jutsu

Ketsueki Nominomo [Blood Drinker]

Function: Ninjutsu, Supplementary
The user of Ketsueki Nominomo uses their own chakra to exhert a pulling force over any stray blood that lies on the battlefield. Stray blood within 8 meters (24 feet) will be pulled towards the users hands and form small spheres there so they can be used for later jutsu.. The chakra used to pull the blood is usually carried along the user's elevated vocal sound wave. To those within earshot, this technique creates a banshee like scream that can injure ear drums if the foe is too close.

Function: medium range, ninjutsu
The user forms a small sphere of blood from a wound in their hand or mouth., it is possible to form it in other places but it is harder to aim when formed there. This sphere can be launched forward at high velocity by a burst of chakra, though it can travel up to do feet it is not really effective except at close range. The force of the sphere is sufficient to deflect projectiles and deliver the equivalent of a hard punch to a human.

Name: Ketsueki Inshou
Rank: “B” rank
Function: sealing
The user inscribes a seal upon a scroll, any blood shed upon that scroll is instantly absorbed and held until the seal is broken at which point the blood comes flowing out at a rate determined by the size of the break in the seal. The seal is broken by physically marring the seal on the paper, when it comes out the blood is usable for any jutsu. It is possible to reseal it by simply halting the blood flow and redrawing the seal.

Function: summon
The user can make a pact with and summons either a giant leech or a vampire bat to the battle field. If the user makes a pact with one of the creatures they cannot make a pact with the other.

Name: Ketsueki Kesumi
Type: B rank
Discipline: shared
The user can take some of their own blood into their mouth where they remove all particles from it except for the red blood cells and plasma. Then they spew it forth in a light spray creating a thin mist of blood and plasma in the air. The blood can be charged with Jutsu from the Naguda discipline which takes effect if the mist is inhaled. After the mist settles it coats the area around it with blood which can be used in any Kotun jutsu.

Type: ninjutsu, supplementary
The user creates a clone of themselves out of blood, that clone is capable of attacking and defending and has 1/10 of the owners chakra. The owner can use the blood from the clone at any point to execute a Ketsueki clan jutsu. The amount of blood necessary to create a clone of yourself is so large the user must have an external source (such as a leech, jars full of blood, a Ketsueki inshou or other device) to avoid passing out from blood loss.

The user can make contact with an opponent and force their chakra into a small portion of the targets blood stream through an open wound, after three seconds of maintained contact the user can rip that small amount of blood out of the targets body and use it for another jutsu.

Junsei Ketsueki [Purity Blood]
Rank: “A" Rank
Function: Supplementary
For a protracted period of time, the user enters a meditative state. While in this meditative state, the user concentrates chakra within their blood stream and lymph glands. This increases the bodies immune response to foreign objects, such as parasites and toxins. Depending on the time spent in meditation, the amount of foreign material and the strength of the foreign material, the user of Junsei Ketsueki can completely eradicate their body of such foreign bodies. The meditation requires absolute chakra control, and can be broken by a strong enough disturbance.
