Well everyone was doing it, I just wanted to be cool..... XD
So yeah, it seems like making threads about one's life is something popular here so I thought I've been a member long enough to make my own :p
So my name's Emily(shortened to Mimi by my friends, hence my username :p), I'm a 17 year old Caucasian brunette. I love long walks on the beach, candlelight diners....
Oh wait wrong site XD XD
Well as the 1st part said, my name's Emily. I'm 17 years old & am, currently in my 1st semester at Champlain regional college in Social Sciences. For those who don't know where my CEGEP is, I live near Quebec city. I don't really know what I plan on doing after in Uni but I'm trying to focus on that during my 2 years at CEGEP. Aside from school, I work as a waitress in a bar :p.
I also enjoy gynastics & dancing a lot. I've been doing both since I was 4 I think & I went to provincials twice for gymnastics :biggrin1:. I've recently retaken gymnastics since I had stopped it when I started high school, working more on dance. For dance, I've done ballet & contemporary a lot but I've done a few Jazz numbers for my high school shows.
So yeah, I'll randomly write some completely random & insignificant facts from my life that nobody wants to know just to annoy you guys :thumb:

Annoy my Ass!!!!
I love ballet, but the only sport i ever train was gym and streetfighting.
And I think that jazz is for people that can't sing/play.
Random enough?

mimi, this will never work. you need to focus the thread around a central aspect of drama in ur life, otherwise it will suck. better start getting emotional, girl. otherwise itll get locked.
a huge JK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry bobis, I will find random drama in my life to add spice to my life. I agree it's quite boring at the moment XD

It's not insignificant! If this thread isn't some damn emo waste of space like my bio, then this thread will be an instant hit, mainly coz you'll be posting here all the time
Long live my wife!
I think the coolest thing in the world is when people stick to something...
If i could change 1 thing in my life it would be me quitting music.
I admire you for sticking with gymn and dancing for so long!...

Hmm well yesterday, I attended my 2nd practice since retaking gymnastics, turns out I'm really rusty. We tried to do some bar jumps & I landed on my face in the mat XD. Still was loads of fun but I feel a bit behind compared to everyone. :(
I'm also planning on signing up for the CEGEP Winter dance show, but I'm not too sure about it. I tried to attend the information session, but it was 10min before my psychology class my psychology class ended & the room was at the other end of the CEGEP :p. Naturally, despite my superb running skills, my short legs could not bring me to the room where the meeting was being held in time. I arrived around 10min after the meeting finished XD. I then tried to reach the lady who was organizing the show but her reaction was surprising .
She was surprisingly snobbish with me. She told me the show was not for the inexperienced nor the unwilling. I politely told her I did have dance experience & I had even done some shows in high school. She asked where I had gotten my training & I told her the name of the place where I got my dance training as a kid as well the dance workshop at my high school where I had continued. She frowned and told me that this wasn't a "game' and that she didn't have the time for me(wth?). Needless to say I complained to the Dean & was admitted by the woman, her reason being she thought I had no training -_-.
Though I know the most logical thing would be to not bother with her with the way she treated me, she's not the choreographer, just the organizer. I've talked with the choreographer and he seems like a nice guy. Also....I wanna just suck it in her face when I ace the show :p :p

but yoz, i woulda slapped that biatch and gave her a foshizzle. And remember nice guys always want yo goodies :O thats my advice for the day! yay

I can actually relate to stuff like that. I've known snobby teachers and organizers for my whole life and I always feel beyond pissed when I talk to them. You know MiMi if you want I'll come up there and kick her presumably fat ass for you:p
keep posting i'm bored and up for the read

lol thanks for the offer Lost, but I can do that myself ;) Btw, she's not fat XD
Anyways, I talked to the other people in the show last week and they all said they had no problem with this lady so I wonder why she gave me such a hard time.

What is it with people an emos!? XD XD
Lol but I know that drama is a lot more fun to read about than happy life threads. People enjoy other people's misery, hence why soap operas or dramatic reality TV series are so popular :p
Fine, I'll find some eternal sadness worth slitting my wrists in my life just for you guys ;)

Well soaps are useless, yet the most watched shows by teens are soaps such as the O.C, One Tree Hill, or something of the like. :p The fact is, all those series share something in common, they aren't nice and giddy, something always happens(and those somethings are very predictable too XD)
But I'll find something dramatic & emo to put in here, I swear it on the head of the creepy stalker looking guy looking at my window right now :p

Mimi!!! You made your own spam thread!!! Now I won't feel totally random when I post meaningless details of my life on forums XD.
But nice to hear from you seeing as I haven't talked to you in a while. Good luck with gymnastics, I remember you saying you've done it for quite some time so you should have no trouble going back into it and kicking butt ;)
As for the dance thing, good luck on that too. Did you get the routine/choreography yet? Is it hard? Well whatever it may be, I'm sure you'll kick butt at it too and show that snobby little devil who's the better person :thumb:

Thanks for the kind words Kristi, makes for a difference from some *cough* XD Any reason you thought I was 19 though? I'm like really really short and I don't think I look old >_>
Btw, to answer your question, I did ballet & contemporary mostly. I started with ballet when I was 4 then my mom signed me up for contemporary around 5th grade since she thought it was more "grown up". I didn't really want to at first and I resented the whole style because I thought it was weird. The movements were erratic & seemingly didn't follow any real technique. It was only later that I discovered that it was a far more free style to express a message, it was more about symbolic than technique.
Update about my life:
It snowed today wooo!! Snow is probably the main reason I like winter(and maybe the only one :p). I realized how much such a small thing like snowfall can make me feel so warm & fuzzy inside through a conversation with a certain someone :)
I won't really divulge on the gymnastics side since nothing is really happening there. I suck, that's that XD
I have on the other hand, started on that school show I said I signed up for in my last post. Turns out it it's a mix of Jazz & contemporary so I should be ok. The theme is a bit awkward, it's about fantasy & wackiness. Azure & a few others will be happy to know that I happen to be playing a fairy in the show XD I met the other girls(and guys because there are guys >_>) and all the jazz. There's this one girl named Michele, we get along really good and this Monday, we realized we were in the same gym class XD. I can't believe I spent 3/4 of the semester not noticing her and I didn't recall her when we met at practice >_>
Except for that though, I'm not too sure about this all. The show is to be finished during Winter semester and practices are twice a week in the evenings so that cuts into my schedule. Not sure I'll be able to manage of of that and still get through school.
I'm also not really getting along quite well with the others except Michele. We go in, practice our routine, and nearly not a word is said. I feel a bit lonely to be honest. I guess that I've always had an ease for making friends in the past but it seems nobody is putting in any effort and I feel like it's one-sided for the most part. So really, I don't know if I'd be able to go to this studio twice a week for 3 hours each week for the next 3 months and be alone all this time. I'm not really the type who does well alone. I can be alone mind you, but when I'm "forced" to be alone because nobody wants to be "with me", I feel lonely and a bit useless... But I'll keep going a few times, deadline to drop is in 2 weeks so I'll go again a few times & see if those initial impressions are but that...impressions.
I might write more if I feel like it. Seems this rant about my dance show has taken a large chunk of the post.
P.S I was joking about the whole "some people don't make nice comments" I'm not really good at narrating my own life's events to make it interesting. I like writing in general but narrating my own life seems so awkward sometiems and I end up doing nothing much but narrating event & after event so tips would be appreciated :) After all, I'm supposedly e-married to the guy with the biggest bio thread XD

Hmm, glad to hear you're a fairy, i think you'd make an awesome fairy. ^_^
as for the show and the friends... glad to hear you made a friend there... but as for the rest of them.... hmm. odd people. seems that not all canadians are, in fact, so nice. I dunno why they don't talk, i find that a bit gay. But, one thing i've learnt... don't take it personally. just let it run of your back (like the whole water/duck thing). I'm sure eventually they'll see that you're a cool girl and start hanging outwith you. :D

Random update:
I'm in a particularly good mood these days. Semester is ending, and Christmas is around the corner :D :biggrin1: :D I just feel really relieved and happy ^_^
I'm so happy I decided to give free hugs at work yesterday :) Ok so my boss thought I was a bit weird but heck, once you tell him that love=good productivity, he doesn't mind XD Though he did ask me to lay off the Advils....
Oh and while we're on the subject, my B'day is coming up soon!!! ^_^ I'll be turning legal...yay? XD Hoping for a big cake and a good time with friends & family :).
Still wondering about which cake though(any ideas?) :biggrin1:
Hmm I guess I could also ask NC's opinion on this choice I've been trying to make >_>. I'm trying to pick out an mp3 player for my B'day since my last one broke. I was thinking maybe an Ipod, but I know everyone has that and I heard there are other good things.
I probably wouldn't need much more than 4GB and I'd like to play a few videos would there be anything other rivaling the Ipod Nano video in that domain? I heard Creatives, Sandisks or Samsungs are pretty good. Any ideas? I'm not really good on this subject :p I'm currently using an mp4 player made from Hoontek(which oddly resembles the old Ipod Nano XD)

But i would recommend a chocolate cake, i've heard that you like those.

For the cake, I'd go with Chocolate mousse too, can't beat the soft gooey chocolate mousse...mmm
Btw, for the mp3, Ipod doesn't have as many features as other mp3s do(doesn't have a radio if I remember) and doesn't accept the same formats(aside from mp3s of coure :p) so I'd say gow ith what you need.
Personally, I found the Samsung T10 I bought a really great machine. It's slim, pretty, has a great interactive menu(which you can choose the wallpaper mind you) and a cool touchpad interface.

Thanks for the hug MiMi :D Btw, I did mean my comment as a compliment, you're hot....lol :p
About the Samsung, the touchpad interface is really cool and considering the new Apple products(Iphone and Itouch) are touch interface, I have a feeling it's her to stay :p Note the Samsung only has a touchpad, the screen is a normal one(though there is a touchscreen version I think) It works very well, I haven't had any trouble with it, it doesn't dirty and the "buttons" respond very well.
Like I said, it has lots of cool features too(wallpapers, FM radio, customizable equilizer...) and it has bluetooth too in case you can afford the bluetooth wireless headsets.
As for the battery, it lasts around 30h for continuous mp3 play and 5 hours of video so it's pretty good :)

Thanks for the advice ^_^. I checked it out and it really seems cool & pretty. Max size is 4GB though so I don't know if that's enough for videos sine those tend to be pretty big >_>
Update:
Well I went to gymnastics practice this morning, wasn't too bad. I did a lot better than I did last week XD. Though the teacher decided to make this a "consequence" class. For every flaw she could find, we'd have to do 20 push-ups and 20 sit-ups so needless to say, for the number of flaws we make, we did quite a few XD. She even went as far as to do the "evil" versions of those exercises. Push-ups with resistance (i.e someone pushing on your back while you go up) or cross sit-ups(you lift one of you legs straight, put the opposite hand on that leg and move upwards towards the ankle XD).
As for the B'day, apparently we decided to push the family party back with Christmas this year. So more presents for me on Christmas! :p I'm still probably having my party with the friends next weekend though. Going to talk about it with them over the week. Man I can't wait XD
Thanks for all the advice on cake and mp3s guys ^_^. It really helped and I'll probably keep looking into those until Christmas(more time to pick so yay! :D)
*free hugs for everyone!*

Hmmmm.... I would say cheesecake just because it so god damned awesome. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, and here in New York there's a restaurant named Juniors and once you've had their cheesecake you never want anything else. SO I guess chocolate cakes reign of chocolatey goodness ends here MiMi, with me Lost Shinobi the legendary chocolate slayer!!! *poses and falls Jiraiya style
Although I would ask my friends what they would prefer just so you fuck up and get some cake most everyone wont eat.
Or if your wallet can take the hit buy both!! Cheesecake with fruit on it is delightful. *HINT *HINT:thumb:
Now to tackle the ever ubiquitous "which mp3 player should I buy" dilemma. I went through that phase many times. Many people bash the iPod but I guess its sales records speak for themselves no? You probably know everything about iPods so no need for any advice there
Zen's are also pretty cool, it uses buttons which you some people find ancient :p. They play videos pretty well, simple interface, many sizes (30 60 or 80 GB) so you can definitely find your size requirement. A big plus for it is that it can play almost all formats of videos. No tedious conversions as you'd have to with iPods. Same price range as the iPod for the most part. Good deal if you want it.
I never thought I'd say this, but it turns out Microsoft's Zune isn't so bad. (I'm not a microsoft hater). My friends who own Zune's all tell me that its a sort of guilty pleasure for them. awesome interface little problems when they connect it to the pc or laptop, good battery life. I checked out its screen and the backgrounds and its really sexy. I don't know much else about it, but I havent heard a bad report about it from my friends check it out!! same price as you'd pay for an iPod and they also have an 30 60 and 80 GB versions so pick your choice
Uber_Naruto's pick is also a pretty good choice but you said you wanted something bigger and outside of Apple, Zen and Microsoft youd be hard pressed to find something larger than 30 GB, so look into those. You may feel like a slave to capitalism and big business :biggrin1: but there's no denying you get your money's worth!!! And happy early birthday!!

*gasp* the chocolate cake has a new rival!! LOL :D Hmm i don't live in NY so that cheese cake shop is probably out of my reach but I'll consider it. Didn't really like cheese cake last time I tried it but that was 3 years ago so maybe I'll like it again this time ;)
Oh and thanks for the advice on the mp3 player :) It's good to have different opinions. Also, I was always under the impression Ipods were popular because of their simple interface(for an mp3 that is, Macs aren't really all that popular XD) and the fact that Apple happened to be amongst the firsts to really publicize mp3 players. But I'll still look into it :)
Zune sounds like an interesting prospect but it hasn't hit the shelves in Canada yet so maybe I'll wait and see :p
Also, I don't really need anything big. I currently have 2GB and that's enough, I just alternate content if I feel like it. I'm just not sure about video sizes. I heard they're pretty big so I don't know how much I'd need to put how long of video :/
Thanks for all the advice though!!! *hugs lost_shinobi tightly* :)

Oh my I feel so tingly all over!!! I like iPods I own an ipod lol. and yeah thats exactly why they are so popular. cuz they're simple to use and they look quite cool. And if 2-4 GB cut it for you Zen and Zunes have small sizes 8GB and below.
ANOTHER small capacity mp3 to consider is the Sansa. It is a great buy and is also cheap!! I think its only like 100-150 for the 4 GB model!!
If you go to the store (a big chain store preferably) you'll find the sales people are very helpful 95% of the time. They'll be very knowledgeable and they'll figure out what fits you in no time
I hope you like cheesecake one day. Some people (me included) have a Haagen Daz addiction, well I'm a cheesecake addict also. Thats how I compare my love of cheesecake :biggrin1: it is an acquired taste for some though...

Hello Mimi San.... Happy birthday from now :)... Anyway about the MP3 don't take anything other that i-pod, its a fashion icon its not about capacity and technical abilities. And portable video players are pretty much useless. You can't watch them when u drive, can't watch them in bus or metro cause people stare you... I-phone would be a good birthday present but its kinda expensive still :). That gym teacher of yours sound kinda too strict, hope she doesn't push you too far... Anyway good luck in whatever you chose to do...and ignore flame comments :)...

The only thing close to a flame comment I saw in the thread were your "criticism" comments -_-(mind you they're not flames, but they're probably the closest thing, don't take it personally)
MiMi_Chan, kind of a bummer that your birthday was moved. I know I'd be a bit pissed if that happened but it's great that you're looking at it in a positive light :). Seems that you're getting a rough time in gymnastics too...ouch. ON the bright side, this will be good for your physical aptitudes, you must be really fit to be able to do so many exercises :)
Best of luck with the oncoming stuff! :D

Hey everyone, guess I haven't wrote in a while so I thought I'd update a bit.
Turns out my friends did organize something for me this weekend. They were all waiting at my house after gym practice and they had organized a party and all. Best part was that 2 of my close friends who had gone to school in Sherbrooke were there, really hit a soft spot inside me that they bothered to come back for my Birthday :)
We all talked, danced, and sang(yes we sung XD) until the evening where I got changed and me and my closer friends went out to a movie. It was really great to go out again with the whole gang. Ever since I started cegep, I felt a bit more alone and secluded, talking and seeing friends not that often. I realized that I never truly appreciated what I had before; the ability to go out with your group of friends and do stuff :D. We didn't do anything extravagant, but just being with them all again was really something that made me feel warm inside :)
As for presents, well the biggest present was everyone coming and remembering my Birthday, and spending time altogether :D. My friends did get me a new digital camera though so I was very happy, and I abused it lol. My favorite present though were a pair of sunglasses one of my friends in Sherbrooke got me. The reason they were my favorite is because they meant something. We once went on a trip to D.C(not the person, the city) with the school and I had an exact same pair. The pair broke during the trip when one of my friend Anne-Sophie sat on them. So I was really touched she remembered about the whole thing, proves to me she really did pay attention to small things and I was really glad :)
Anyways, a few pics:

Hey everyone...
Guess I'll do a random update:
Well life seems a bit bleak at the moment. I guess I feel a bit down for a few number of reasons.
- School isn't going too well. I'm kind of failing IQM(Intro to Quantum mechanics) and I need to ace my final to pass the course. I guess I'm bummed because I thought I got the stuff right, I even explained it to 5-6 people...
- Gym isn't going too well either, pains are getting worse and I feel so out of the loop. Girls I used to know talk about so many things which i can't relate to anymore :(
- Dance show is meh I guess. The organizer lady came back the other day and she pulled me off to the corner, saying that she'd noticed I wasn't trying and I would be off the second she saw something wrong.
- I also left my job this weekend. Turns out these 2 guys at work have been eying me for a while and last week. They tried to make a move which I politely declined, but they didn't stop. Turns out it was a superficial thing(I think you guys can know the type) and I was really becoming crazy with them. My boss wouldn't listen so I just gave up.
- And last but not least, NC doesn't seem to be livening up for me. I just don't feel m place here as much as I did when I first joined. I don't feel like I belong either :/
Yeah ok I'll stop my emo moment now and go on with something a bit more happy I guess.
I signed up for this trip my college was organizing to Africa(Tunesia not SA, sorry hubby) and I hope I'm picked. Best thing is that I can bring people from other colleges(my high school friends for example). Hoping I'm picked but the way things are going for me now I don't know :(

Don't worry about school, just do your best and I'm sure you'll be fine. Teachers are always there too, they don't want you to fail(in general I mean :p)
As for gymnastics and dance, hang in there, I heard you kick butt in those so just give it time :)
For work, you did the right decision. If you were in such a situation, you mae the right choice ^_^
As for NC, don;t worry about it. We love you :) NC just woldn't be the same without you. I for one find you a fun member and whoever doesn't agree is either weird or doesn't know any better!
Hope that helps, I'll be on MSN if you need me girl ^_^

Well, i spoke to you about most of this on MSN... but, lets see.
For the gym... its gonna take you a while to get back int othe whole thing, sadly you can just be a pro again after taking a few years off... so endure it, give it some time and all will be fine!
The dancing lady... we all know she is just jealous, so who gives a fuck about her? Remember... the night you're performing, you're gonna bring tears of joy to everyone's eyes, including hers! And then you're gonna rub it in her face that you did so well and she's gonna be crying tears of agony! bwa ha ha!
Job... we didnt talk about that one.... but good for you for leaving, was the right move to do, so congrats on that one! You'll find a job soon enough im sure, so dont worry! ^_^ Screw those guys, they're gonna die of genital herpies a few weeks after they grow their first pupes.
As for NC... if you left here, there would be a huge fuking crater that says 'this is where MIMI used to be'.... it will not be the same without you. So... You are part of NC, you are part of the 'awesome people clan'. :p Unlike papfles! :p

I'm sorry i couldn't be around longer yesterday to hear about your worries :(
Azure and Kayleen already gave you good advice, so what more can i add...
You will leave school behind one day, free to make a choice about what to do then, like studying. For now just don't lose faith in yourself. Look, even Azure passed his exams (i know i shouldn't talk about daddy this way :p), and we all have faith in you.
And it really was the right decision to quit the job, i would have done so, too (probably would have punched the boss in the face, and those guys too). You can find a better one then one where you are harassed.
Finally, you remember what you recently told me about leaving? "You are one of the reasons why NC is so good". I can only return your words to you. I always wonder at your posts, thinking that you exactly said what i would have liked to say, but i didn't manage. Take your sweet time to think it over, but please don't leave. NC constantly changes, yes, but some people stay.

NC constantly changes, yes, but some people stay.
I'll have to concur, and nowadays, NC seems to liven up a bit. Just put on the "let's get crazy"-mode and type away and forget those "worries" for a bit :)
Btw, Thistle, if azure is your daddy....then are you my long lost brother? :'(

Sorry to hear things aren't going so well right now Mimi. Life sucks sometimes, it happens to all of us.
About the 2 guys, you should make things clear with them before leaving because their behavior might carry on. They really should know how to approach a girl without freaking her out, but I don't blame them lol, I'd probably try a move if I worked with you ;)
As for NC, well I think we all appreciate you here. I like every post you make and there's a lot of thought and heart into each one.
For school and everything else, you kick ass so you can get through that :D
Best of luck and don't let life get you down

Ahoy everyone! ^_^
'nother update:
Well I'm feeling much better than before. Sat down, thought a lot, munched on some munchies until they were no longer munchable and listened to some sappy music. Basically, your big emo moment. Now that it's behind me, I can write a book or something :D
Anyways lol, finished my 1st of 3 finals this morning in psychology. T'was mostly on disorders and relationships so not too hard >_> Still dreading the IQM one >_<
I also got accepted for my trip to Tunisia woohoo!!! :D I'm so happy!! ^_^ 3 of my friends from high school are also coming so I'm so hyped. Don't suppose any NCers come from there right? XD
I also volunteered at the hospital to help kids on the 22nd. You know, come and give them a good time for the holidays? Any ideas/suggestions on what I should bring?
So yeah, random update :p

Make a huge game where they have to go exploring through the hospital? Include other patients, so they get to know some other patients in the hospital!

and mimi, if you don't fit in here, I am not seeing it! you even got 9 votes at the round table! lol.
mm, kids like to color and do projects, so crayons/a coloring book/project material would be good ^_^
as for the two crazies at work, ugh. I hate that. When I was 16 some guy drove by both ways NINE TIMES before stopping outside thestore (was a small store in a small town). He didn't come in but stared at me and then waved at me to come outside. I'd never seen or spoken to this guy in my life, and he was not willing to come inside. The store owner was actually right there witnessing all this, but did not chase the guy away. Finally the guy got frustrated and left, and I was thoroughly creeped out. The owner then said "I cant believe he didn't even come in and buy anything!" lol. But not just the boss the guys as well, they're treating you like you are an object to be won. They don't really care about YOU at all. It's about the trophy and the competition. Don't mind them. Remember, if you play your cards right you might have a very devoted wife that will come and kick their butts for you ;)

Have to consider the differing abilities of the children also, wouldn't want to disturb a sick patient or have a child feel left out since they are stuck in bed.

Scouting experience FTW
@ IFTS: easy solution: The ones that are stuck in bed, are the ones that can do the riddles that lead to the rooms where they have to go and find something. The other ones are the runners.
Do that with two rooms and pure (naruto)chaos and fun will arise from it >_>

mm, I wonder what those guys would do if you actually dated one of them. Ugh. I dated a guy like that. First boyfriend. He was obsessed with me and never thought I'd actually date him (shouldn't have. oh goodness no I shouldn't have). The entire time he'd put me down and make me feel ugly and horrible so that I wouldn't get confident and figure things out and leave him. He wouldn't accept a break up or talk to me about anything. Luckily he joined the Navy and I was "free" again... but this was four or five years ago and he still stalks me on myspace/facebook and tries to add me, I'm set to private but he'll send me messages, he'll try to add my friends on there or on msn and ask about me, he commented on a photo of me grabbing my roomie's boob "hah, that's just like Keri!" O_o. He didn't care about me at all, just about "having" me, or about my looks. Guys like that don't deserve girls like you and wouldn't know how to treat you if they ever wound up so fortunate as to have the chance.

You've been in scouting too, huh? >_> :p (it's actually a game we play: two teams of people, who can play tag. If they win (rock-paper-scissors), they get a little piece of paper with a sperm cell or an egg on it. If they have a duo, they can go get a baby (balloon with water) which they have to tuck under their shirt. And then the leaders (i.e. ME :p) come and try to snap the balloon (miscarriage) before it is delivered in their base camp ^^ You can get aids if a leader tags you before you get pregnant, and then you have to hop on one leg, making it even more difficult >_>)

When I was hospitalized for my asthma, I spent my b-day in the hospital and they got me a clown. I was around 8 and I thought the clown was the most awesome thing leik evar. If any of your friends are funny or can do magic tricks you can do that with the kids and you can teach them magic tricks and all sorts of things. My clown was the awesomest guy in creation but my oxygen tank would have gotten in the way of that relationship :( well there's always Chido

mm :/. When I was younger a clown performed at a "Kids' Day" event I went to... and I felt soo bad for him because the kids were very mean to him because "clowns aren't cool". He even did a really good job but he was so upset and the kids were so mean. Later me, my sister, and her friend went up to him and asked for his autograph and told him we thought he was awesome. But clowns probably aren't the way to go unless the kids are very young and accepting of them. some are scared of clowns also.

Where does one go? You go where you feel appreciated, where you feel that you are not the cause of things that are wrong. Things go wrong in life all the time, if we blame ourselves for it all, then we'd break down by the merry age of 30.
We all go through tough times, but these times define us, they show us what we're made of. If we dont get through them, it shows weakness. If we get through them, it shows strength. How we get through them defines character. Not going through them means you dont know who or what you are. But telling yourself you are the cause of all that is wrong will only destroy you. So don't do it.
And do not fear the future, coz if you do, the present will just swoosh past you and you'll miss the days that you're supposed to live. Live what is now and enjoy it. Enjoy what is in front of you, dont fear what could be in front of you in a week/month/year/decade.
And that may be the deepest post ive made in a long, long time.
Cheer up meems.
Im on MSN if you need some more comforting.

Problems are related to friends..... and I'm trying to fix them, not gain comfort >_>
I doubt all your friends are "the problem".
If friend A is the problem, talk to friend B. A friend tells you the truth when you need to hear it and gives you other views when you are lost for the true path.
If you cannot confide in / trust your friends, then I don't think much will help.

Didn't I mention that "I'm" the problem causing tension and problems among the friends I have(and I'm almost willing to say every close one). I just thought for a second if you remove the cause, the problems might solve themselves and everyone would move on...
@Azure: thanks hubby, quite cryptic but I appreciate it :)

It's like cancer, once it has spread, you can't just remove it, hoping that it'll go away, you have to hit it with everything you possibly can to get it to go away.
So if there is a problem, because of you / with you / concerning you / bothering you / ..., strive to fix it. And one way to do that, is "talk talk talk".
Removing yourself as the problem (if you say you are the problem) is not what a friend is about.

If there's a leak in the wall at one spot, does ripping that leaking spot out fix the leak?
(for all the people out there (ichee) who struggle on this one, the answer is no)
How do you fix it? Hard work. fixing a leak in a wall is a kak job, it really is. But at the end of the day, with some care, patience and hard work, it wont leak anymore. Taking a sledgehammer to it wont fix anything. And taking it out and then putting something new in is a lot more effort.

I feel cryptic and deep at the moment. But i could give you some cryptic hubby-ly luvin if you feel like it?

Yeah I realized that, just that I've noticed that moving away seems to be a popular answer around here lol.
yeah, I've been talking and talking though seems it's not helping that much. I hate hurting people but either way SOMEONE is getting hurt and I'm not happy with that :( But I realized some crap happens and you can do nothing but learn to live with it an move on with it(hopefully fix it).

Oddly enough, the more you leave things alone (to a degree), the better they get. Picking at things the whole time (like an open wound, but thats an ickey metaphor), will make it heal slower.

I like it. Couldn't have made a post like that myself.

The others will move on only after quite some time, not immediately. And why should you leave when you're not the one causing the tension? And even if you were causing it, are you responsible for that? Did you act on purpose to cause it? I don't think so. Only thing you can do is make up your mind about what you want and act accordingly.
You cannot prevent people from getting hurt if you leave. It's the opposite, if you do (leave NC for example) many people would miss you. I've been talked out of leaving NC myself by the way, and the person who did so was right. She told me that the one losing the most would be myself.

Well I think you're pretty much all right. I just wish it didn't come to it. I guess leaving things as they are and distancing are my best solutions.

Leaving things the way they are, after you've made an effort of talking
Distancing never works, especially if you consider them friends and they consider you to be a friend... :-/

I think your going about things the right way now MiMi. If you dont know what to do or who to go to, I think your right for taking a while just to think about it. Eventually your gonna have to address whatever this issue is, but giving yourself a couple of days gives you the time you need to strengthen yourself and get ready for whatever might happen. When a rift or a problem arises with friends it does hurt, and it hurts for a while and you dont say anything because it hurts too much and you want to run away from your problems. Give it some time then talk it out. If you guys are truly friends, then you guys should be able to stand each other long enough to patch your friendship.
 my last bit of advice is try not to dwell on it. keep yourself busy with school a hobby w/e. you dont want sit down and realize an hour of your life is gone because all you did was sit down and mope.

You care so much for others, you got the right to think about what you yourself want. Take all the time you need to think things over. If it means distancing yourself for some time, well, i already did so myself and left NC for some days until i came to a decision. But you surely also know that you can't wait forever with making important decisions in your life. Forgive me for saying so...

You didn't give us enough detail for much feedback from my end.
But if your situation was caused because of who u r and it wasn't because you wanted to harm your friend, it is hard for me to comprehend this situation getting to the point where u r all crying and emo.
If you can't be yourself around someone in the fear that you can harm/hurt that person in a specific way then you might want to consider the basis of your friendship to begin with.
Hope things work out for the best mimi. Cheers. ;)

Yo Mimi, sorry to hear you're going through some rough stuff but sh*t happens and you seem to have taken the right decision by taking some steps back to think about it all.
Listen, if these people are really your friends, something will be worked out. Otherwise, tough luck for them. They lost a caring person in their lives :)

Well guess I could update.
Been going through a lot of crap lately and spending sometime on NC trying to get my mind off it. I actually spent a few days during being emo and crying >_<
Yeah, it's complicated and ironically, I thought recently for a second that it was related to NC and that I should leave it all behind, but apparently it wasn't. I'm afraid of the future now. Where does a person go when he thinks every problem around him is caused by him?
Ahhh Mimi I'm kind of confused by youre post >_< but from what I can tell you is if a person feel that everyproblem they have is caused by themselves, then they're the only ones who can fix it, you know, find the inner strength =] and yeah, sometimes its hard but thats why everyone has friends right? =] someone to lean on and to get advice from and to slap you when you really need it lol XD maybe if that person talks about it with other people they'll feel better and realize that sometimes there are things we just can't control, and not everything is our fault, and it takes courage to see that sometimes because no matter how hard we try soemtimes we cant change things...when I lost two of my kittens in November to panleukophenia...I kept blaming myself even though it was a virus and there was nothing I could do to save them..deep down I KNEW that but there was a part of me who jsut kept blaming myself BECAUSE there was nothing I could do no matter how hard I tried...eventually I realized that it wasn't my fault, and I did the best I could to make their last hours happy, and to show them as much love and affection as i could while they were still alive, and that's what really matters...trying your best even when the odds are against you ^_^ you just gotta stare adversity in the face and be fierce and you can overcome anything! =D
I'm sorry about you feeling emo though =/ I get like that too sometimes, but I find the best things that help me at least are a LONG phone conversation with my bffls, and a nap, and a good long cry...some people think its weak to cry, but personally I think its just a great release of emotion and its healthy =]
I hope you feel better soon

Well I guess I can go for an update. Oddly enough, it seems only few people understood what I was talking about earlier lol, and yet I didn't understand other people's troubles when everyone else could >_<. I'm just too special :p
Well things are going better, I talked stuff out with everyone and I think they all understood. It's kind of hard sometimes to get to terms with people on controversial subjects such as this one but I'm really glad they understood in the end. I realize how compassionate and understanding they are and that I'm really grateful to know them.
On another note, I'm going skiing tomorrow!!!!!!!! ^__^
I'm really excited, going with some friends I haven't seen since summer. Hmm wonder if I should ski, snow blade or snowboard...any suggestions? Hmm hope I don't break a leg lol XD
Hmm next week school starts as well so I guess I'll be NC less too. 7 classes this semester and I have school every weekday so NC will have to come second. I guess that's not too bad since I've kind of noticed that NC doesn't seem as lively as it did for me. No I'm not going to rant about "NC is dying" but I can tell it's kinda not the same as before. There's kinda idk...too much chapter anticipation more than anything. The sudden decrease of members in the last 2 weeks as well as the number ppl asking for spoilers each week(though this time it was kinda a bit more lol).
Sorry if that last paragraph sounded like a doomsday rant lol. I promise that's gonna be the only one >_<

Yes apparently people are envious of the snow, though once you get stuck 2 hours each day going to school it's not as fun XD
Btw, our education system is odd, we have an intermediate step between high school and Uni, called cegep. It's kind of like college I guess.
