Do you think Luffy will make it in time to help his nakama fight Oz and Moria? And will they be able to hold out till he arrives?

He will make it, there is no point to him becoming Nightmare Luffy if he wasnt going to fight someone strong. Either that or for comedic effect he will lose all the powers he got the moment he shows up but still helps them pwn Moria and OZ...

He will make it but 10 minutes won't be enough. Like that pirate no one wants to marry said, they got 20 minutes till the sun comes out. So Luffy will pawn Oz until the shadows all leave him (dramatic failure moment) and then they will have to use the salt in the remaining 10 minutes. And there's still Moria himself although he doesn't seem to be a big fighter himself.

I'm looking forward to what abilities Luffy gains from the shadows and how they will be used against both Oz and Moria. But I do hope that Moria shows more than he has in battle given the size of his former bounty. And I wonder how Luffy will react to the fact that Ace was defeated by Blackbeard.

im hoping luffy dives onto OZ carring a bag of salt, and OZ starts choking on it, and luffy says "bwaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh????" and then they all get there shadows back. Yea thats how i think itll go down :O

How are the zombie that assist Luffy able to do so. I though that they all had to obey Moria. Oz ignores Morias orders for a while but eventually became like the other zombies so why can they disobey?

Probably because Moria isn't giving them some direct orders. He doesn't care for them, they said they wandered around that forest. A forest on a ship, by the way.

Em, they werent zombies. The ones that helped Luffy were pirates that had their shadows taken and were looking for them but could only find the shadows of other people. Zombies dont have shadows of their own and are powered by the shadow of others. so the reason they dont obey Moria is cause they arent zombies...

Robin is just preparing the stage for until Luffy arrives, I hate Moria and his ugly face but he looks strong i guess, he's not even worried about what Robin did to him so i guess Robin will soon reach her limits and the time when OZ strikes them the final blow Luffy will arrive and save them and then we can see his fight ...

But what amazes me more is that Blackbeard is chosen to be the next Shichi Bukai and his bounty is "zero" but on the other hand Luffy has 300 Million bounty and Govt doesn't even look at him ... there seems to be something wrong with the Govt ...

He did attack Enies Lobby and take away the goverments best chance for Pluton. They probably see that as the best chancce to stop the yonkou.

And he did defeat Ace who may or may not have a similar bounty.

Of course there's something wrong with world government, those old geezers are probably the descendants (or survivors?) of the destroyers of that ancient civilization. Robin is with Luffy, she's the only one able to read the ancient script. And the strawhats did an extraordinary act of defiance when they declared war on the world gov.

So Blackbeard as the new one is a clear sign since he's after Luffy.

His attack on Enies Lobby don't mean anything, i mean all the pirates are somehow against the Govt and are not quite friendly with them even the shichi bukai ... I don't think that the Govt wants him to stop the yonkou, these are the three great powers, if any balance is disrupted any of the yonkou can make a move ...

Ace, we are still not sure if he is defeated or not, or probably the Govt thinks that he is defeated by he still maybe alive somewhere ... BTW, do yonkou's have bounties on their head, whitebeard didn't had any and shanks is still unknown ...

I don't remember having heard about yonkou's bounty but they surely have huge ones. World gov is surely more concerned about any move they make than about Luffy (yet). They are probably happy to have a shichibukai who voluntarily wants to go after Luffy and seems to be powerful enough to defeat him, and they can deal with other matters.

Usually when a Shichi Bukai (SB) is introuduced his bounty is also revealed, but during the introduction of whitebead or shanks their bounties were not revealed, and whitebeard also being close to the Gold Rogers ...

About Black beard, he wanted to go after Luffy to defeat him and make a name for himself but Ace stopped him, so iff he has defeated Ace (which seems most likely) and the Govt had already noticed his existence that means probably he will not go after Luffy anymore ...

And even after becoming a SB Blackbeard still needs to make himself a name, i'm sure that he isn't content with that. I think that World Gov picked him since he was already willing to go after Luffy, at least they got one SB who acts like they want them to. They probably ordered him, too.

Nah, what i meant to say was that white beard being so close to Gold Rogers makes him the most dangerous pirate out there after Gold Rogers, so probably his bounty will be like unimaginable but still why Oda kept it a secret from us, he didn't kept the SB bounties a secret ...

OK, maybe he will still go after luffy to make himself more famous but he is not the only obedient SB around there, Kuma is said to be the most obedient SB ever ...

Oh, now i get it. Yes, Whitebeard's bounty must be really high, and i don't know why it wasn't revealed so far, there must be a reson for that.

Isn't Kuma that creepy bear guy with the bible? No wonder he's on thriller bark to deliver a simple message. But wouldn't a simple messenger have been enough to do so...so is his arrival coincidence or not? He seems to be in a different league, i just hope he doesn't chose to interfere.

Probably that message was something big or should be kept a secret until they actually make blackbeard as a SB ... But i think that his job is more than just a messenger, maybe the Govt told him to keep an eye on strawhats and look at how they fight and find out their weaknesses ... but i am sure he will not interfere, as he said that he didn't received any orders to fight strawhats ...

I was referring to Pluton being what the goverment wants to fight the Yonkou. And the attack on Enies Lobby took away Robin who could decipher its location and the blueprints that Franky had in his possession.

At least they wanted to prevent anyone else from using it, but why not use such a weapon if you get it into you hands.

If Govt got the pluton they will use it against their enemies, and their enemies are in general the Pirates, which include SB also not only Yonkou ...


OK, lets get back to the topic, Luffy took all the 100 souls (great will power there), Franky and Brook are down the others are also tired and may go down soon ... So Luffy is the only one again who can save them, this looks exactly like the Alabasta Arc, where all othe members fell down after the fight finished ...

I had hopes that the others would be strong enough to defeat Oz without Luffy arriving since we saw him fight the "final" villain all too often, and Luffy would deal with Moria who doesn't seem to be a big fighter himself.

20 minutes left till the sun comes out, 10 minutes for Luffy left, this will surely be dragged out until the very last second. So i think that we are going to see a moment of "epic failure" when Luffy is on the brink of defeating Oz and then all the shadows leave him. My bet is they will use the salt after that.

If Luffy does defeat OZ in time I wonder what Kuma will do. He already said that he didn't have orders to help Moria. (ch. 474 p. 15)

This is the first time i saw a fight in OP where all the crew members were fighting as a team and not individually, i was really happy to see this but now with Brook and Franky down it seems that this fight will be handled by Luffy himself ...

I guess Luffy (with 100 shadows) will be able to defeat OZ and the others will help him to put salt in his mouth when he is still on ground ... but i wonder how did Moria went inside OZ's stomach, maybe that's why he is not worried about Robin's flerual (whatever it is) ...

Kuma will just watch the fight and will not interrupt and he did said that, he may only report this fight to the Govt ... plus he may tell Luffy about whatever happened to Ace ...

I actually think Luffy will run out of the 10 minutes before he finishes smacking oz around and a combined effort will force the salt into the mouth of the tired Oz.

Oz will probably get up again, both of his arms will then be damaged. But this doesn't really matter as long as Moria can use his power.

Surely Luffy will arrive there, too, so that we can see what he looks like right now.

^ Exactly i also wonder how he did that, he has to physically touch the shadow and then cut it with that big scissor ... Maybe he cut her whole shadow out just from her hands? ...BTW, the title of the chapter 8/3, means that 3 people are down (Franky, Brook and Robin now) out of those 8 people fighting OZ, i really like the spoiler that those 7 people took that big moster down ... and Luffy will give him the final blow or fight with Moria...A little correction on the previous spoiler:By Aohige_AP at AP:

I don't know why Oda is lagging this fight, just show us the Nightmare Luffy for which we have been waiting for ... 3 are still fighting, 5 are down, i wish Luffy comes at the end of the chapter with a big multi sized gomu-gomu arm of his and takes down Oz in one shot ...

Moria is having difficulty with Hana Hana tightly holding him. He sends shadow bats to attack Robin.
Sanji kicks the shadow bats to protect Robin. The fragments of the shadow become Moria's shadow. Robin is surprised, but uses Clutch against Moria's real body, breaking him.
However, Moria reappears behind Robin. He explains that he can switch places anytime with his shadow, therefore, the "Moria" inside Odz is just his shadow.
Then, he pushes Robin's shadow and cuts it with scissors. He keeps it on his hand because there's no corpse around.
Sanji is pissed and attacks Moria. Moria calls bats again. Sanji's kicks fail as Moria teleports back to inside Odz.
Odz is pissed and prepares to attack Robin with Gomu Gomu no Bazooka. Sanji uses Diable Jamble. He narrowly dodges the Bazooka with his kick.
Chopper unnoticed climbs up Odz's right arm. He says he found Odz's cause of death. Chopper asks them to aim at Odz's right arm, because it wasn't Odz's real arm, it was restored by Hogback's hand! It was sewn together, but there are heavy traces of frostbite. Therefore, Chopper concludes he must have died from cold. Even this monster's natural strength is no match for getting lost in a ice country and dying. Because this monster, 500 years ago...was definitely naked! (rofl - this Chopper part is very summed, but that's the gist of it)
Sanji and Zoro say they won't lose to such an idiot.
Odz grabs Chopper but he turns back into a reindeer and eats a rumble ball, then he jumps.
Sanji and Chopper use the Air Force Sakura Shoot and Chopper continues attacking. Odz says it won't work, but Chopper says it will. Odz jumps just above Chopper and Sanji. Odz uses Gomu Gomu no Pistol and takes them down.
Moria laughs and says there are only 3 left.

It probably doesn't matter how long Luffy takes to get there, it will be when all his nakama are down. But it looks like the real difficulty will be to capture Moria if he is that agile. And we know how he got into Oz. Till now i was wondering which body orifice he had used...

If there will be no one standing when Luffy comes then who will put that salt in Oz's mouth and release Luffy's shadow and i don't think that Moria even after beaten up will give the command to the shadows to leave ... i highly doubt him ...

Looks like another movie which shows old stuff with new animation and it actually didn't interest me that much until the very last moment. Are we going to see Oz in there? That would mean that he and Luffy are old aquaintances.

Although i've seen all of the Episodes except for a few fillers i actually never watched the movies. Hm, perhaps i'll start now.

Yes i remember something like that, too. So far events in the movies didn't influence the storyline as far as i know, so why not letting Oz appear somehow. That shadowy figure from the teaser is surely meant to remind us of him.

This Kaidou could be one of the Yonkou. As I recall Moria wanted to get revenge on someone in the new world.

As to where his scissors are hidden I really don't want to know.

I am not sure that Luffy and his crew will defeat all of them, probably only those that will step in their way ... Shanks doesn't look like he will fight Luffy, maybe he will help him after Luffy defeated some other Yonkou ...

It would be very likely that Shanks and/or Buggy know the location of Raftel, but we are not sure if they were with Roger at that time when he was in Raftel or they joined in later afterwards ...

BTW if they already know about it and its highly likely that white beard also know about it then why didn't they just go there and get he One Piece ... there has to be something, a requitement? ...

A requirement I hadn't thought of that. Could be a will of D thing or possibly someone that can read the ancient language such as Robin.

Actully there are 4 of them. But your right the world goverment relies on both the Navy and the Shichibukai to keep the balance they prize so much.

Every Yonkou is not only personally strong (although i'm not so sure about Shanks since he's crippled) but a commander of a pirate army, probably with several powerful subcommanders, like Ace is for Whitebeard. So it's not that easy to get to one of them to defeat him.

And about the One Piece, i'm sure it's not some treasure but knowledge or something not of material worth. And the ancient language probably plays a role, that's why i think that Luffy got an advantage there. And probably the "D" in several person's name plays some role as well, perhaps only those with the "D" stand a chance to get the One Piece somehow. Which would make Blackbeard even more of a threat for Luffy. But this is just speculation on my part, don't come yelling at me.
