me, myself, am not a huge fan of dub. but, it is good to see naruto on the big screen every once and a while. the whole naruto vs. sasuke is starting, and i think it will be good to see. oh, and also, do you think that english version might skip that whole filler deal? just a speculation in my mind.

p.s. i only made this post to give some action to the dub area. and i thought it wouldnt be a bad idea to make a thread for practice in an area with so little practice.

Well I watch subs but I enjoy english better, what's tthere to hate, and yah I hope they skip the whole fillers or they might lose fans. And since they are showing 2 eposides a week it's going pretty quick. No choji don't die.

i watch the dubs, but i like the subs cause' they're new, but kidomaru when he's using his sticky web jutsu, his cheeks look like balloons :noidea: don't ya think?

the dub is cool to me but the subs are much better to me...i like the fact that japenese version doesnt hold back like the dub does...and the japenese voice overs sound much better than the dub version...but like i said, the dub is cool to me when i want to see how the dub interprets the japenese version

i wish that the dubbed sound four had better voice actors, i mean tayuya and jiroubou are fine, but kidomaru sounds kinda weird, and i expected sakon/ukon to have a very calm and non-chalant voice

it is always a shock at how bad the voice acting is- ya think i would get used to the dissapointment- but i dont. my favorite english voice actor is kakashi, but only cuz his easy-going style is consistent (kindof) and you cant see his mouth move ><

i think that masashi kishimoto got lazy with all the mouth movements, wow really hard, so he put kakashi in just to make it easier, and then got even lazier with zabuza

hmm... i beg to differ. english is americanized, and the voice acting is overwhelmingly cheap. the voice actors the english version chose kindof is misleading to the actual personalities of the characters. i see more emotion in japanese, personally.

HUUUUUH ????? i wont even comment on that... the Dubs sound like a bunch of pretty boys and cheap white women doing the voice... the Japanese voices are SOOOO much more emotional and "real"

I don't mind the dub version of Naruto (still tivo the bastard even though I watch subs). The only bad parts about it are the fact that the cut out all kinds of stuff, and some of the voice acting is cheesy (although they have cut back on naruto's irritating "believe it" quip). But I personally like Kakashi's voice acting a little better in the dub.

Watching subs is something you have to get used to. I watch almost every anime in subs now and I don't miss any of the action anymore. It is almost like I can read it with my peripheral vision. I am sure the other sub people would agree.

I think the best sub is Cowboy Bebop. I think the voice actors are actually better... Spike sounds kinda puss in the Japanese version...

Yep I like dubbed I grow up with that recently, naruto was my first dubbed series and is my only until deathnote came and bleach was kicked out.

There's emotion in the dub? Last I checked Naruto sounded like an old hag pretending to voice act. But to each his own.

I can tell you're young since this is your first dub, so I wouldn't expect you to understand why dubs, especially Naruto, sucks. That or you're too lazy to read subs.

I understand why you think that since you grew up watching dubs. I was like that too years ago. When you get use to reading subs and watching the action at the same time, you can tell how much of a difference voice acting makes. In my opinion subed version is better over all, but there are some dubed versions that are voiced acted better (Naruto not being one of them)
I agree with cowboy bebop, Gundam Wing's dub is SOOOOOO much better then the japanese and so is Hellsing's.
