Doujutsu speculation

seems to me that the secret of the Uchiha scroll may not be out for some time, so i'm just speculating on what it might be.

i've always wondered, if the sharingan is an offshoot of the byakugan, might it not be that the first Uchiha was actually a Hyuuga branch family member??

then imagine if you get that annoying curse seal, which activates so long as a head family member wills it. what better jutsu to counteract that than the mangekyo, which destroys the enemy's will in a split second? and maybe he killed some of his hyuuga clansmen to develop it...

this would also make the original uchihas enemies of, and the best assassins for killing, the hyuuga royal family. but maybe they were defeated somehow, and forced to act as a police force instead. and that only people with the strongest blood ties to the first uchiha, can develop the mangekyo. which might be sasuke's/itachi's family!

if you're itachi and you read that your ancestor wanted to destroy the konoha royal family, and your own clan was pathetic and stifling you, and only you, your brother and one other person (unknown to us) able to develop mangekyo... with conditions as deadly as killing your closest kin...
you might just end up killing the entire uchiha clan.

The "unknown person" is kakeshi i believe.

no it is VERY unlikely that kakashi is the unknow person mainly because it was said that he doesnt carry the same blood line limit as itachi and sasuke

But he has got a sharingan doesn't he and his name isn't Uchiha, so it may be possible and i think (not sure) that Itachi fled Konoha straight after due to this and when he came back he seemed to have already knew Kakashi and he seemed to have already known that he had a sharingan as well i think. But if i'm wrong then i guess we just got to wait and see!

no he followed naruto the got scared away by jiraya because he had to use the sun god thing thats why he left and yeh he kicked kakashi's A$$ Gai came and saved them

i think itachi and kakashi were both in ANBU at some point or other. it would be strange imo if kakashi was the third person, because using the sharingan already takes a lot out of him.

also... would it mean that kakashi somehow killed obito, his closest friend??

no itachi killed his clan before he became ANBU i think he didnt want to become ANBU no uchia is a seprate ....omg i hate spelling what am i missing blood line but if you believe in the whole evolution thing then yeh sure it is a branch

really hmm i hmm i remeber stuff about his father saying to take the ANBU test and wtf is ur problem but i dont remeber anything about him actually becoming a ANBU (this is in my mind ) it is possible that he did become ANBU captain im not sure anyone out there reading this know?

i dont think thats possible....thats like konoha saying "hey theres the guy that slaughtered the entire uchiha clan...please be our ANBU captain"

hmm, i know the flashbacks make it seem like he never made it to ANBU, but seriously, i could have *sworn* that other ppl in the manga have been saying over and over that he was an anbu captain at 13. it may be a continuity error on kishimoto's part, or i could be very mistaken.

not very impt, anyway, heh, imo, its all just to say that itachi was a prodigy.

this thread was started actually to see if anyone else had any other theories on the possible secret of the uchihas.

regarding the third unknown person, kishimoto seems to have pulled that one out of nowhere, with not much clues prior, so it would seem that guessing is quite useless!

no, the manga definitly confirms that itachi was in anbu cuz the 3guys went up to itachi for:
1)buisness... shisui committed suicide and the police force wanted anbu to investigate too, so they had best friend and closets anbu connection, itachi, to do it
2) on the other hand, they thought itachi did it so they wanted to make sure since they had to meet him in official buisness anyway. they thought that he was acting strange AFTER he joined anbu

kakashi said he became a anbu leader at 13 when kakashi was fighting him. and as someone rightly pointed out. noboody would make itachi a anbu captain after he killed his whole clan. and i think the anbu would actually be after him if he just murdered his whole clan. so he most likely was an anbu captain, murdered his clan, and became a missing nin. sasuke was 7 when itachi killed evry1 right? so 5 uyears later sasuke graduated. itachi was 13. so itachi is not 18 according to these calculations, unlike most people who say that he is 17
