Yeah, so 2 chapters have passed since we last posted a discussion thread. Seems like the Straw hats have been able to give Oz some problems now with their new found resolve. Looks like Zoro is gonnna display a new attack too with his new sword. But the big thing happening is Bartholemew( the shibukai with the bible) is in thriller bark looking for luffy. He mentioned something about ace.....it could be that he came to tell him of his death(like i predicted a few months back in that whole "something that would change things forever" or something along those lines) or that he may be in trouble. In any case, for a big guy, that dude can move. it's like he can do a faster soru than lucci, basically teleporting. Be interesting to see if luffy can match that speed with gear 2 if they happen to fight. Oh, and nami is trying to stop the zombies from stealing sunny and her treasure(not hers but yea) and luffy still can't catch up to moria.

So for those that are up to date, what do u think bartholemew has to say about ace?

possibly that ace is dead... as far as his powers are concerned i think it deals with swordsmanship, and ritual purification, might explain why that girl he faced suddenly poofed into dust against him. Bartholomew kuma might be the one moria was talking about, since he seems like one to purify the dead.

Another thing i just realized. Ace might not even be dead. We know that blackbeard is trying to become a shubukai. It's plausible that he simply defeated Ace, and turned him over to the marines. Ace is infamous and has a high bounty head i'm sure. bartholemu could be letting luffy know that his brother has been captured which might force luffy to go and rescue him.

why would luffy go rescure him though? wouldnt whitebeard just rescue him since he probably has a better chance to than luffy with his crew as it is now. And we know whitebeard would probably be the first to go after him considering whitebeard treats his entire crew as if they were family.

i mean the entire point of that fight was to set up shanks's words, when he said you shouldnt take blackbeard so lightly... Ace was probably used as an example for blackbeards power. And personally the story wont be affected even with the loss of Ace. If he is dead i am really looking forward to how Dragon reacts to this.

However i agree that he turned in ace into the marines, because he did want to become a shibukai, but i think he turned him into the marines dead.
