I don't know what you're talking about can you give me a page?

The only scene of father is him sleeping and greed and pride talking in the background.

I suspect it has something to do with the giant transmutation circle they are building, maybe they need a person who has seen the gate at each point which is what al, ed, izumi, hohenheim have in common plus the one unknown person (mustang? but we don't know if he has or not, I don't think he has) or they just need powerful alchemist to sacrifice or something.

well yeah, that is a possibility but look at the shapes...

the Phihlosipher's stone transmutation is a septagram(7 points) while the one in the picture is just a pentagram(5 points).

but the high powered alchemists for sachrifices is a probablility, all of the 4 people, (edward, Alphonse, Van Hohenheim, and izumi curtis) all have the ability to transmute with just their hands. maybe he needs people who have seen the gate, or just people who can comprehend the science behind the alchemy.

it seems to up for anybody's guess :P

The philosopher stone circle is a pentagram with an inverted pentagram inside it. Look at page 19 of chapter 67, so I think it is very likely what they need the 5 alchemist for.

Hmm,Mustang has not seen the gate Mr.Michael! D:

But if I remember correctly, aren't they trying to make him see the gate somehow? I forget(hasn't read that much FMA in a while xD).

*whacks self on head*

oh yeah, the septagram was only in the anime, but the manga kept it as a superscribed-inscribed pentagon set.

now we just need to know who is #5, and how "Father" is going to get these people to work the transmutation.

hmmmm....

I don't think we know who the 5th person is yet, it might end up eventually being Mustang, or maybe that little chinese girl :p
