The air was crisp and clean as Tenks Ten'un left the academy with his small bag of belongings in a very solemn mood. He had his wits about him again but he just really wanted someone to talk to. Like she was often prone to do Chalice had taken off somewheres without a trace leaving him alone with no one to communicate with. The Ten'un's paranoia that if he approached another genin something like what happened with Eri was so powerful he didn't even make eye contact with those around him. The lucky genin just shuffled towards his ravaged apartment to begin his first task was getting it back into livable conditions, he had let it deteriorate over a few days during a fit of apathy and while stuck in the hospital for two weeks It had begun to mold.
Tenks: no wonder she left, I'm not looking forward to living there at the moment either...
Reminiscent of the last time he had been lost in thought on this street someone roused him back to reality. A dark-haired girl had put a hand on his shoulder from behind to get his attention. Her expression was so emotionless he had no clue what she wanted. The only clue to her personality was the tattoo upon her face which implied she was a confident, independant shinobi.
Tenks: (Oh please, no not again)
Tenks prayed that this girl would ask what she needed then leave quickly... the memory of the last time something like this happened was still all too fresh.

Kurayami had followed the purple-haired genin to the dingy apartment out of curiosity, but had decided to approach him when it became apparent that he lived there. She needed a place to stay, and it seemed that this would be a good opportunity to get one.
She thought she may have startled the boy when she placed her hand on his shoulder, and quickly withdrew it, holding it against her chest. She was surely in an awkward situation, but she didn't even seem to notice, and continued as planned.
"I can see that your place of residence is somewhat run-down. If you have room, I would gladly help you fix it up in exchange for a room of board."
Her voice was sweet and feminine, though it was offset by her cold overtone , creating an eerie, ghost-like sound.

Tenks eyes stayed trained on the girl for a few moments trying to comprehend her words but his mind wouldn't allow it. he was looking at her like some priceless ming vase spinning upon a broom-handle: about to die any second. The shadows and people of the bustling street seemed to be closing in on Them. There were too many ways to die out here. too many routes of attack.
It was then he noticed the puppet. standing malevolently behind the girl. Instinct thrashed through he wall of reason and he pushed the girl aside, throwing his bag of supplies at the wooden scorpion which thudded off its strong exterior like a pillow and spilled into the street. He drew a kunai and stepped between the girl and the "enemy". his throat was dry and the following statement was little more then a raspy begging
Tenks: Get inside the house! barricade it! I'll slow him down, for god's sake GO!
*People started to turn towards the scene unfolding before them, the boy had pushed a girl aside and was now trying to defend her from some lifeless puppet that looked anything but scary at the moment. The boy was clearly insane.
Upon seeing the people gathering on the street looking curiously at him he could only think one thing
Tenks: (great... he brought company)

Kurayami looked about curiously, trying to figure out what was going on. The boy seemed to be trying to protect her from something, but there was no sign of danger anywhere. She didn't really care what the problem was though, as long as he was telling her to go inside, which is what she wanted to begin with.
"Alright. I'll bring Kumori with me", she said, attaching chakra string from her left hand to her puppet. The ominous scorpion sprang to life, moving right past Tenks and following Kurayami into the house. Once inside, she detached the strings, allowing Kumori to collapse into a heap on the floor.

Slowly realization eased it's way into Tenk's mind in those few stillborn moments. Nothing was wrong.
"Alright. I'll bring Kumori with me"
quickly the marionette scampered past as the girl walked the last few feet casually to the door: did nothing phase her?
Tenks: ..... right.............
*Tenks quickly fell to his knees and started packing the supplies back together, his face reddening with embarrassment as the people around snickered and moved on
*When finished Tenks turns around to the repulsive apartment and slowly goes to open the door: the inside of the apartment looked like it was the very hellhole the devil himself had developed the bubonic plague. with a fresh layer of greenish-black mold on everything and no object in it's rightful spot he was ashamed to have the girl see it.
(I guess everything is alright after all)
*Tenks made himself look the girl in her piercing silver eyes despite all the shame he felt.
Tenks: ...Come on we don't need to talk here... if your willing to of course... sorry about this. I know a nice area where we can just hang out or whatever... maybe even train?
*Suddenly he really wanted her to stay.

Kurayami breathed in the spores of a thousand species of molds as she listened to the boy speak. She felt as if she may die if she stayed inside much longer.
Tenks: "...Come on we don't need to talk here... if your willing to of course... sorry about this. I know a nice area where we can just hang out or whatever... maybe even train?"
The older boy looked her directly in the eye as he spoke, something most people would not do. It seemed as if most people did not even want to be around her.
"Training sounds good. I need to practice close combat before I'm assigned a dangerous mission, but I don't even know your name yet. I am Kurayami. I have no family name."
The girl felt a pang of emotion as she realized that the other genin cared enough for her to let her into his home, even as run down as it was. To an ordinary person, the feeling would have been almost unnoticeable, but for Kurayami it was so strong that she wanted to smile and cry at the same time, but without fully understanding what she was feeling, she could only blush.

"Training sounds good. I need to practice close combat before I'm assigned a dangerous mission, but I don't even know your name yet. I am Kurayami. I have no family name."
*The lucky genin started to enjoy himself with this turn of events.
Tenks: haha, I'm Tenks Ten'un! I think I have a good way make that happen! come on: I have a amazing training spot just outside of konoha!
*Tenks whips out the door for he was suddenly looking forward to the rest of the day! he'd even get to show off Chalice's secluded area just outside of Konoha. It be fun.
*the tarp of a casually passing covered wagon seemed improperly fastened and flapped ever so slightly in a very "suggestive" manner: That was his cue. The Ten'un boy innocently trudged behind the cart for a few moments fiddling with the knot and as expected it gave out needing very little encouragement. Tenks then quickly climbed on the moving cart in a "stealthy manner" ( by stealthy I mean he only tripped over his own feet a couple times while trying to get a solid enough base to lift himself upon to the wooden frame... thank god the driver was listening to an Ipod which started to play at max out of nowhere: even when he started frantically trying to turn it down)
*finally on the covered wagon Tenks creeps under the covers and stretches out his hand with a smile to help the very reserved girl up. He mouths a few words at Kurayami still on the street as silently as he can
Tenks: come on... It's a glorious place... you'll love it... I promise....
*The Ipod, still blaring, starts blasting out a Barry White Song (http://www.applebytes.info/LoveSeranade.mp3) for all to hear (except the driver who is now bleeding at the ears)

Kurayami looked up at Tenks, taking his hand and boarding the wagon silently. She wasn't sure where they were going, but it had to be better than wandering aimlessly through Kanoha. She looked over at the boy, hoping for an explanation as the music began to blare loudly. No matter how much thought she put into the lyrics, they still didn't make any sense at all to her.

*Kiun Ten'un was an amazing man: Born with passive altercation he set out at an early age to gain control of it: seemingly becoming a recluse. He could not have been much of one though because at the age of twelve he impregnated a girl: seemingly as a result of his other mission, to create a powerful clan. How could the woman say no though? The ambience that surrounded him was majestical. It was impossible not to fall in love with him as it was like god himself was drawing them together.
Tenks is a much different boy then Kiun is though... The passive altercation that was now all but demanding Tenks throw on the Kiun-like Charm was becoming an embarrassing annoyance to the purple-haired genin. The folds of the tarp around the steel frame stretched inwards to create a smaller more intimate area, the bumps in the road jittered the boxes towards them, drawing them closer together, and above all that blasted Barry White kept urging Kurayami to take her cloths off.
Some awkward silence would be nice.
*However the steely eyes of the girl remained steadfast in spite of all happening around her, showing only small signs of curiosity as to what was going on. Tenks drew his index finger to his lips and stopped her before she could ask. Although aware of how ridiculous he was going to sound considering the driver was now desperately trying to turn the Ipod up for a change... he must have gone deaf.
Tenks: sshhhh... we don't want to get caught...
Tenks decided to convert his attention from the girl so he cut a small window in the drooping canvas and stared out into the passing scenery, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable. For unlike his companion he understood the lyrics to the song and what was going on and he felt bad that she was being objectified at the moment: whether she knew it or not.
Tenks: (but whatever it takes to get them into bed right...)
*Before long the mossy, puddle and rock filled gulch landmark fifty feet into the forest appeared through the canvas window. It was time, he motioned for Kurayami to follow him and he proceeded to jump out of the caravan doing a slight forward roll when hitting the ground to break his fall.
He didn't relax though
To keep from any quick questions he started darting for the path, sprinting through the forest
Tenks: haha hurry up !! we is teh close!
stopping at the seemingly impassable gully he caught his breath, but only for a moment then turned to his comrade.
Tenks: K, just follow my footsteps.
The small loose and wet mossy rocks upon the steep hillside would normally mean death for a foolish explorer here. however as Tenks started down the slope the dangerous stones rolled away, leaving a passable albeit slightly muddy path. once at the bottom he proceeded through a few tightly knit boulders and then a brisk one or two minute walk through a small, normally concealed deer path arriving at the grassy circular clearing Chalice had modified for his personal training. the frogs in the small pond at the north end croaked admirably and the heavily treed surrounding forest chirped with birds and wildlife . Most important were the twelve seals Chalice had fastened around the outside in a clock fashion radiating and bathing the area in vivid color which reverberated to his soul. All was perfect. yet they could chill out after some fun! Tenks then finally turned to the girl to talk and noticed just like Chalice this area made her skin and eyes sparkle stunningly, everything about her seemed so vibrant and alive. The Ten'un almost choked on his next statement in awe.
Tenks: um...ya... so what do you think Kurayami? we can do whatever!!! ask away I guess?

Inside the wagon, Kurayami could feel the heat from the boy's body The air inside was thick and moist. This stirred up a feeling of uneasiness in her. This was something she had never felt before, and that frightened her. The actual feeling wasn't so bad though, almost pleasant. It felt as if her body was trying to force her to satisfy a desire.
It felt like quite a long time had passed since The two had stowed away, and Kurayami let out a sigh of relief as she dropped from the wagon onto the dirt road. She stumbled as she landed, trying to slow her momentum. She had barely steadied herself before Tenks had taken off into the forest, and she forced herself to catch up despite the fact that she had no idea where they were going.
Tenks: haha hurry up !! we is teh close!
The girl obeyed Tenks and followed closely behind him as they made their way down the slope. One wrong move and she could fall to her death, but it was too late to turn back now, and she could only trust the boy. Her eyes grew wide as they arrived the sun filled meadow that was obviously their destination.
It was like nothing she had ever seen before. She spent her early years in Suna, where all she ever saw of nature was sand, and even after moving to konoha, all she saw were buildings and dark forests, but this place was different. This place was special.
Tenks: um...ya... so what do you think Kurayami? we can do whatever!!! ask away I guess?

"It's.... beautiful..."
Tenks: you should see it at night...
Tenks suddenly felt nervous, he had thought the girl would start talking and asking questions now at the destination but it seemed she was content to just study the surroundings. It caught him off guard as it was now up to Tenks to start the ball rolling: he wasn't great at communicating already and now noticing just how gorgeous Kurayami really was made it all the harder.
Tenks: ....
*maybe awkward silence wasn't all that great after all
*suddenly an fair-sized oaken branch fell off the tree's above them and landed to the east of the clearing , snapping into three pieces: a long, strong one from the base and two short thin ones from the tip. They would make un-ideal yet workable sword-like items. It took a minute before Tenks could get up the courage needed to interrupting the cute quiet girl from her studying of the area. pointing to the items he says:
Tenks: er... close combat right? would those sticks over there work Kurayami?...
The God's Favorite then turned away from her and towards the targeted area, suddenly abash. A stark opposite from his companions cool and collect persona he was feeling like an emotional basket-case to say the least.

Tenks: you should see it at night...
Kurayami would very much like to see this place at night. She liked the dark. For some darkness brings insecurity. They become paranoid when they lose their ability to see what is going on around them. This was not her case however, as for her, darkness brought peace and calm. A time to reflect upon oneself.
Tenks: "er... close combat right? would those sticks over there work Kurayami?..."
"Work for What?", The girl said, eyeing the pieces of the newly fallen branch curiously. "Mock weapons? Better than nothing, I suppose." She treaded silently to the mentioned pieces of wood, grabbing the largest piece and and hefting it up in front of her. It was heavier than she had expected, but a real weapon of this size would surely way more, so she couldn't complain.
"You said you had a good way to train close combat? Would you care to explain before we begin?'

Tenks: (Better then nothing... she actually wanted to use real weapons?)
Tenks felt a chill go threw him in the summer heat and swallowed silently: he had been so desperate for someone to talk to... but who exactly was this girl who went only by the name Kurayami... There is something wrong with that.
Tenks: I'm not very good with swords so it's probably safer this way!
*Nonetheless he took satisfaction in trying to make the girl happy even if it was an impossible task. The girl seemed mildly interested in the situation though: and that made Tenks feel good. He would bust out the big guns for her entertainment.
Tenks threw his bag to the ground and thrust his hands together in a fury of seals and shouted "Hiru bugu no jutsu" creating a fun-house mirror effect, distorting and contorting the air around him in a translucent haze. Eyes closed in concentration he said the following
Tenks: I am the last in line of the Ten'un clan Kurayami: and this, this is our aura technique. When you step inside it it will become progressively harder to move: improving your speed, strength, and dexterity when you leave... and leaving the aura will negate any weight put upon you immediately so you can enter and continue again... don't worry about me: as long as I don't unleash the aura I will be fine. remember excessive movement equals excessive weight so you might have to leave the three meter radius quite a bit.
*The Ten'un then looked up at the girls face to see her reaction. he felt better now after displaying his rare aura technique: he was proud of his heritage and hoped to be impressing the interesting girl before him.

Tenks: I'm not very good with swords so it's probably safer this way!
Kurayami hadn't really considered safety until now. She had just figured that they would be able to refrain from killing each other and any injuries were just a part of training. She didn't tell Tenks though, as he didn't appear to be very confident, and she didn't want to upset him. Something she was just realizing she could do.
The girl gasped in shock as Tenks performed a technique of some sort and the area around her became distorted. At first she thought he was trying to harm her, but she quickly realized that he had more than one chance to harm her while her guard was down before now, so he surely wouldn't try it now.
"So whenever I move inside the effected area, I'll be continually weighted down, and once I leave the effected area all the weight is released? It is quite difficult to form a plan of attack when I don't know the rate at which the weight will build, so I'll just experiment a bit first."
Kurayami started by simply taking a few steps, and raising her makeshift "sword", trying to gauge the weight that was placed on her with each movement. She quickly moved on to try simple swings, from left to right, right to left, and top to bottom. Before much weight had been added to her and her "weapon" she could swing it rather quickly. The trouble was controlling it. Even without the weight added by Tenk's technique, the object's weight was difficult to handle as it was spread out through it's entire length. As the weight upon her built, Kurayami had trouble keeping her swings straight. Her arms had more weight to pull, and her "sword" was much heavier than before, and gravity seemed to suck it's tip back towards the earth, preventing her from getting an effective slicing motion.
The girl didn't even last a minute under the effects of the aura before she was forced to drag herself out of it's range to relieve herself from it's added weight. As the weight grew, she felt as if her body would collapse on itself.
Kurayami took a deep breath of air as she pulled herself past the aura's effect radius. She was relieved to feel all of the weight lifted off of her, and she turned to Tenks with a distraught look on her face.
"How can anyone stand to experience that? Even the air I breathed seemed to weight down my lungs... Maybe I'm just weak....", She said, turning away in shame.

*The words of the girl cleaved at Tenks very being and he looked on feeling helpless to do anything. He wanted to run over and embrace her: comfort her, but that would leave the feeling of inadequacy in her mind... His charka flow started faltering and his throat was burning but he knew what he had to say to the grief-struck girl. he focused himself and said what was necessary if success was to be achieved this day. He would be cruel to be kind. He spoke in a calm but strong voice.
Tenks: Kurayami, you've gotta be kidding me... stop crying and get over here and do what needs to be done. what kind of Shinobi do you plan to be if you can't battle through this?

Kurayami's eyes shot wide open as the boy's words reached her ears. Something was different about him. He didn't act the way others did.
" C...Can you tell? Can you tell that I can't feel it? Others ask me if I'm feeling alright, but you, you have never mentioned feelings, and don't seem to care about them the way others do. Are you like me? Is something wrong with me?"
She felt as if another weight had been lifted off of her. She had tried to understand what was different between her and others for such a long time, but she had never had the courage to actually ask someone about it before, and she was scared what answer might be.
The girl curled up into a ball, with her legs folded up to her chest and her arms wrapped around her legs as she raced through all of the possible outcomes of the situation in her head.

Tenks: (Im such a moron...)
*The situation was dire as the mysterious girl had now collapsed: The hardened exterior had given way to an underdeveloped yet lovely core. Training was the last on Tenks mind, making the most of the circumstances was all that mattered now. He unleashed the aura which buckled his legs but able to regain his composure he walked over to the precious ball before him that was Kurayami. Dropping down upon his knees he stroked her cheek gently to get her to look at him.
Tenks: different? your endlessly interesting to me... this short time has been a joy.
*Tenks then crawled around behind her and put his hands on her bunched shoulders: massaging them to lessen the tension she must have been feeling.
Tenks: as far as feelings I guess... a friend of mine once told me that in order to feel one must try. Thinking is just the shadow of true feelings: always darker, emptier, and simpler. I've no doubt you've had a burdened life and I can't wait to share it... and I'm sorry for how I treated you... but I'm here to do whatever and all I need you to do is keep trying no matter what... cause at least it feels good to try.
*The Ten'un then threw his arms around her and held her close: his head resting upon her shoulder.
Tenks: I guess it's up to you on whether to call upon the dark or upon the heart.
*Tenks was aware of how cheesy the line sounded but he didn't care, it was true, and honesty was all that mattered now.
*Honesty was all that they had

Tenks: "different? your endlessly interesting to me... this short time has been a joy."
Interesting? To be interesting as opposed to other people she had to be different, but the way he said it made it sound like she was different in a good way. Was he complimenting her?
Her eyes met with Tenk's for but a moment before he moved behind her, placing his hands on her shoulders. She felt as if she was really connecting with someone for the first time.
Tenks: as far as feelings I guess... a friend of mine once told me that in order to feel one must try. Thinking is just the shadow of true feelings: always darker, emptier, and simpler. "So in order to feel, I have to open myself up to feelings? Let my feelings guide me rather than rational thoughts? Share my life? It wasn't wrong the way you treated me. It was the best thing to do. I wish I could understand your sorrow. I think I can at least try now, for you've given me a reason to try."
Kurayami placed her arms over the arms of the boy that now held her as she spoke the last sentence. No one had ever embraced her before, and it felt good. She leaned her head over to rest against his as he spoke.

They stayed locked in that pose for a few minutes. Tenks whole body had a tingling burning sensation from the destructive after effects of unleashing: the furious exodus of charka was enough to kill most ninja but thankfully he had inherited a body developed by Kiun especially for auras. Nonetheless the warmth soothed the aching pain and he hated to let it go but that he must. He had done parasitic armor twice in a day before... and he would do It again today.
*Tenks legs started shaking when he tried to get up: threatening to go out on him, and with the adrenaline gone the lactic acid chewed at the movement. However he managed to get up and throw his hands together looking for charka... It was weak and just barely crawling painfully slow through his system...and he would need every scrap to make this work: he would not be leaving tonight.
Tenks: Yami... lets have another go, I believe in you
*With that Tenks threw his hands together and started to channel the Charka accordingly. It was laborious and hard to keep the charka spaced evenly even though that was his gifted strength. The charka fought but was overpowered slowly. Finally he last he was ready with his entire body had seized up with strain in effort to not hassle the remaining charka now equally distributed. Tenk's started the chain of seals once again.
Tenks: Hiru bugu no jutsu!
Once again the air that leeched onto it's prey had taken form.... ominous... malevolent
Parasitic armor was reborn

Kurayami was determined not to give up this time as the cursed air engulfed her. This time she wouldn't expect to be able to do anything difficult, but resolved to do some simple exercises instead. She started with the simplest thing she could think of, push-ups.
Dropping to her hands, she lifted her self up and then back down to the earth. She quickly fell into a rythm of up and down, up and down, but with each movement, she was required not only to lift more weight, but to prevent that same weight from falling completely to the ground. She had barely reached ten repetitions before she felt she was being pushed out of her comfort zone.
This wasn't meant to be comfortable though. This was meant to push her to her limits. Make her stronger in the least amount of time possible. By the time she had reached twenty repetitions, she was fighting just to prevent herself from falling flat on her face. Her arms shook violently under the pressure as the feeling that her entire body was being crushed came upon her again.
Forcing herself to the edge of the aura's effective radius, Kurayami gasped for breath. She breathed a sigh of relief as the weight was lifted from her, but she knew she couldn't rest for long, as it was obvious that Tenk's technique put a great amount of stress on his body. She wanted to let him quit, but at the same time she knew that he was doing this for her, and she couldn't let him down.
Stepping back into the aura, the girl dropped down to the ground again, starting on another round of push-ups. It was easier this time. Not because she was stronger already, actually her muscles were damaged from lifting the excess weight, but because she knew how quickly the weight would build, therefore she knew how much strength each push required. Again, she went on until she felt the weight pressing on her was threatening her. Twenty-one repetitions. Normally, that wasn't much, but Kurayami realized how much it actually was when she exited the aura and the excess weight disappeared.
She didn't even take thirty seconds to rest though. She plunged herself back into the aura and immediately lied down on her back, bending her legs so her knees were up above her, and her feet flat on the soft grass. She started repeating sit-ups, starting as slowly as possible so she wouldn't wear herself out before too much weight had been added. At first, these were easier than push-ups as Kurayami could simply let herself fall back to the ground after each repetition. However, as the weight built, she felt as if her stomach muscles were ripping themselves apart. She forced herself to keep going however. She hadn't even reached twenty repetitions, and she wouldn't let herself give in until she had done more than that.
Kurayami pushed herself onward, a look of determination on her face. She stopped counting once she passed twenty repetitions, but she continued until she knew she couldn't go on any longer. Slowly, she pulled herself outside the aura and laid down on her back.
She spoke slowly, gasping for air...
"You can release your technique now. Any more and I'd be damaging my muscles to the point that I would have to wait days for them to repair themselves."

Tenks: (what an image to be gifted with before I am overcome ... now for some last words)
Yes, he would need something epic and memorial to say before he passed out: cause for certain he would go out now... the only reason he was still standing was because he had solidified his stance, pacifying his muscles so they couldn't torture them like they wanted... but when the aura was unleashed it would thrash him like the lowly Ten'un he was... the immense pain would overload his mind, triggering the shock nerves, and he would pass out immediately. He grabbed one more look at the lovely girl recovering before him.
Tenks: Sweet!
Tenks: (I wish Eri could have met you... )
The brief memory of Eri disrupted the channelling and unleashed the aura sending whips of translucent haze around the area, every muscle suddenly seem to wake up and implode on itself. His arms fell to his sides and his back arched to a ridiculous degree, sending his gaze skyward... he held that pose for a moment.
Tenks: GAh... Ka... ah
*And with that Tenks passed out, falling to his knees and then upon his face... a pleasant smile managed to form on his lips despite all though...
he would not have had it any other way

Kurayami watched helplessly as Tenks collapsed onto the ground.
"Are you serious? Now I'm exhausted and beaten and he's unconscious. "
The girl rolled onto her stomach and slowly picked herself up. The sun began to set behind her as she staggered over to the fallen boy. He was alive, but was not responsive at all. Apparently using his aura put tremendous stress on his mind as well as his body.
Kurayami glanced up at the red sun, thinking that this would be her chance to see this place at night, but for the sake of making sure Tenks was alright, she would leave with him, hopefully making it back to the house before it was too dark. She hefted the limp boy over her shoulder, trembling under the weight.
She headed back the way they had came as fast as she could bear. She would have to beat the darkness. Soon, she came upon the incredibly steep slope they had come down on the way. Gazing up at the rocky edges, she realized that coming down with a guide and going up with her guide on her back would be two completely different things.
She started up slowly, moving on her knees and free hand as the darkness grew. She moved slowly but steadily. Safety was her first priority now. The trip up was taking almost four times longer than the trip down. She had spent fifteen minutes just getting halfway up. Lifting herself up onto an overhead ledge, she dragged her leg across the jagged rocks. She could feel her blood and sweat mix inside the wound, sending a burning pain up her leg. Though every fiber of the girl's body cried for her to stop, she chose to continue on. It was impossible to stop here anyway.
Eventually, Kurayami pulled herself to the top of the hill, now shrouded in darkness. This would the perfect time to rest, but she knew if she did so that she wouldn't get up again. She proceeded down the road on which they had come, her eyes drooping. Her body quaked underneath her with every step. She knew she couldn't last much longer, and she had no idea how far away she was from the house.
She continued on blindly for a time, eventually stumbling to a halt. The girl swayed side to side as the boy slid from her shoulder and fell into a small ditch on the road. Kurayami didn't even notice however, as she followed directly after as both her mind and body gave in to the torture.
And there lay. Each having pushed themselves past their limits for the sake of the other.

The air was crisp and cool when Tenks woke up at sunset: every breath seemed to scratch at his throat when he inhaled but at the same time invigorate his very being. The Ten'un felt good and refreshed, still tingly as if back from a full body massage. He didn't know how he got here but this was not a feeling to end, or a moment to look away from. Resting against the slope of the ditch he put his hands behind his head to see the view unfolding before him. The rising sun was flooding the sky with shades of indigo and amber
Tenks: ( it's a scene of renewal and rebirth... how symbolic)
It was too much for yami to miss
*Tenks pulled his left arm out from behind his head and naturally felt to the side for Kurayami but he felt nothing. his attention changed focus and he looked to the left for some sign of his friend and was perplexed to see her resting sideways upon the hill, her head towards him. Nonetheless she did at least look kinda peaceful.
*Now curious Tenks stretched over to brush the hair away from her eyes and was surpassed to find her forehead hot to the touch: suddenly feeling a building sense of fear forming in his gut and unsure what to think he quietly calls out quietly but with much conviction
Tenks: Yami!?!...

"Yami!?!..."
The voice from nowhere echoed inside the girl's head, calling her back to the land of the living. She felt A pounding pain in her head as she pried her eyes open to see the blurred figure of Tenks looking down on her. She tried to lift herself to a sitting position as her vision cleared, but she found it impossible. Both of her arms were stiff and sore. Trying to lift herself on them only brought her pain.
Kurayami gave a sputtering cough as she fell back to the ground. It felt as if every part of her body was damaged in one way or the other, and her face felt hot. She was glad to see that Tenks was fine, though she couldn't remember exactly what happened the day before or how they got here.
"Are you alright? You just collapsed yesterday and I wasn't sure what to do. I tried to get you back to the house, but I can't remember if I made it or not."

Hearing Yami speaking coherently sent Tenks mind into shock, he was unable to comprehend the situation at hand. It was all so sudden and unexpected he couldn't help but reflect on Eri. He took a few seconds to soak in her questions and responded in a daze.
Tenks: Im fine... I don't know what to do yami... your hurt...
*All he could think of was to grab her hand and clutch onto it with all his heart so she couldn't leave him. Afraid she was going to leave him in a heartbeat like Eri. Or perhaps she was already dead.

Tenks: "Im fine... I don't know what to do yami... your hurt..."
The girl propped herself up on her elbows as she spoke.
" I know I'm hurt, but I don't think it's that bad. My muscles are just messed up from training yesterday and I cut my leg trying to get you back to the house."
A fit of coughing interrupted her, and she shook violently until she fell back to the ground yet again.
"...It looks like I'm still bleeding though, which means I've had an open wound all this time... That would explain why I'm sick. I'm not really sure what to do either. I don't even remember where we are", She said, trying to get a look around.
"All of my thins are back at the house, but I don't have any medical supplies anyways. I'm really not in that bad shape though. A simple first aid kit or some household medicines would probably be enough. You may have those at the house, but either way, we can't just lay here."
This was the first time Kurayami would have to rely entirely on someone else. She had confidence in Tenks however, and looked up at him in anticipation.

*Heartbreak skewered through him upon seeing the bloody wound upon Kurayami's leg while strife mixed with insult as yami's emotionless manner of speech hit him. His showing-off had done this to her and the fact she wouldn't acknowledge it was eating him alive with guilt.
Tenks: How can you be so calm, my actions did this to you!
*He turned away as the tears started to break thru si he briskly walked into the forest, re-emerging five minutes later with two handful's of various shrubbery. Refusing to look at her and at the ground instead.
Tenks: these plants... they'll probably work.
*Throwing the plants into a pile he pulls out two odd umbrella-like kunai: going through the process of stuffing a bit of the materials into the back of one, then grinding it with the other, emptying ground contents out and starting again until about a half-cup of the plant mixture is created
Tenks: I have no clue what I'm doing...
*The Ten'un then spreads three-quarters of the "medicine" upon the gash but cannot bring himself to rub it in: such real exposure to Kurayami's pain would be too much for Ten's to handle. Instead he removes his shirt and ties it around her leg to put pressure upon the wound. His sleek pale muscles gleam with a thin layer of cold sweat from the fear pounding inside him. Only then does he look Yami in the eyes once again as he hands her the remaining plant mixture. His heart skips a beat as her as her lovely green searching eyes cut through him, then suddenly aware that he is bare-chested he blushes and turns away nervously eyeing the horizon.
Tenks: here, try it for your fever I guess... now how to move...

Kurayami spoke aloud, even though Tenks had already disappeared into the brush.
"That's not true! You didn't do this to me. I did this to myself for you. I wouldn't have put myself in this position if I didn't think it was worth it."
The girl was quiet as Tenks returned, beginning to make a mixture of some odd plants he had gathered. He didn't seem to be too confident in what he was doing, but she had resolved to trust him no matter what.
The makeshift medicine burned inside her wound, but Kurayami forced herself to remain calm Tenks wraps his shirt over her leg. She got the impression that it brought him discomfort to see her in pain.
She took a reluctant glance at the remainder of the mixture that Tenks was holding out for her. It didn't look like something she would want to ingest, but she took it from him and forced it down her throat nonetheless.
Tenks: "now how to move..."
Kurayami glances up at Tenks and then back down to the branch that had fallen between them, a look of confusion in her eyes. After a moment, she grabbed the branch and lifted herself up on it. Using it to prevent herself from falling over, she lifted herself fully and took a few awkward steps.
"It seems we can start moving now. You lead the way."

Tenks: I can't remember the last time I took the time to look at the sunrise, but it feels nice doesn't it? I guess we get all caught up in the strife of this world and lose focus on the little things... I think that being with you has let me regain a shred of control over the madness that consumed me, and now I can enjoy standing here beside you taking in the sun, I love it even... "I've watched the sunrise almost every morning for the past few years, but it seems different somehow today. If being with me has helped you, it possibly couldn't have helped as being with you helped me, so thank you for coming with me."
Watching the boy laugh as they walked, a smile slowly crept across Kurayami's face. She couldn't remember the last time she smiled. Releasing his hand, she moved closer and wrapped her arm around his shoulder.

SFX: Physshh, a bottle of Champagne opens.
*Three figures have met within the Gardens of Dispersion: a former Jashin Temple long gone. These days the smooth, brown, marble walls of the massive dome have given way to a fit of decadence: Slippage has gained a hold of this place and now it's formally sleek walls boil over upon themselves, giving birth to demons. The floor itself is a sleek, eerie dirt, rife with dips and craters in which a glossy black water thrashes: the original white ivory long scorched black and chewed up. The only light given was a dull greenish-gold glow pulsating from the mass of destroyed holy artifacts which littered the place. Darkness abounds
It is what it is not,
It negates and confirms,
It transgresses,
It is real,
One is a young man, wearing nothing but a pair of Khakis and sitting cross-legged upon the dirt floor, his shining white hair draped over his dodgy eyes. He is fidgeting slightly: causing the instruments extruding from his body jingle quietly among each other. Michi Arita is finally back from his long journey and for the first time ever he feels terror looking upon his idol... none of his old friends are here... things have changed... he wants to speak up but cannot... all he can do is gaze in apprehension at the corruption around him... like the pawn he is he says nothing.
Another is a woman whose pearly skin radiates beautifully from the glow of one of the raging pools by her feet: contrasting her silken black hair and kimono stunningly. She stands stead-fast with her arms crossed in the shadows behind Michi as the spray of the black water bites at her robe. Whenever he summons enough courage to turn around and look at her she meets his gaze with little more then an appraising look, not trying to intimidate him, just to gently remind the shaken young man that she could kill him before he could move. The glorious seven foot nodachi bonded to her back reinforces that point.
Nothing is sacred from slippage, that much should be clear... "niceness" becomes obsolete.
A golden statue of Jashin sits three stories high upon an alabaster throne in the center of the dome temple. The grand throne is separating amongst itself now: cracking as a dull white-ish green mold forces its way out then expanding until it pops, resulting in mewing cries. Jashin's golden physique itself has been scorched black and his chest ate away: and although he is nothing more then a statue his mutilated face wears a look of pity and anger.
Reality burns
The demon that rounds his flesh resides within the hollowed chest cavity. Iwao Ohira is looking down calmly upon the wine glass in his hand and Eri's Blackened and glaring sealed eye laid before him in deep reflection.

SFX: Swisshhh, the glass of champagne is twirled within Iwao's hand
The tension in the air is too much
Michi sputters quietly: I- Iwao-sama, what is going on... why did you have Ry kill that girl... it isn't like you and...
*It took courage to ask the next of his questions for death was a very real possibility.
Michi: ...is this the ninth charka...
The furious one responds pleasantly:
Since I can't hid it's use it will become a well-known pestilence sooner or later so I will tell you Michi. The moronic nature of the scholarly shinobi continues to amaze me every day. They think that death is the end? Death opens the way to the Soul gate: a gate that spans the planes of existence and exists out of the body.
"So ya, I'm playing with the view of this night as I love the gloomy landscapes of my world,
Old as the planet it speak words of the ancient knowledge,
and when combined with these things you give me,
even in paradise...
*Iwao picks up Eri's defiant eye and looks it over carefully
" it could only be a dream... and this eye was the first manifestation: the beginning of it all"
Slippage
SFX: Fhyzzhhh, the eye crumbles into the glass of champagne which Iwao then drinks in one quick gulp.
Suddenly lowering his head into his free palm and massaging his temples, a coughing fit overcomes him for the next minute. Only after does he state in a hush matter-of-factly tone to the two ronin before him
that eye was actually created after that so-called saint Kiun hit one of his daughters after it became evident she didn't have the "passive altercation," he had been working on trying to unlock the ninth gate shortly before hand and somehow just unleashed it upon the girls eyeball by fluke! That was proof that the research was sound, he was so close... all he needed to gain complete control was to die first haha.
*Iwao throws the wine glass aside and leans back against the black rotting guts of the gold statue, a smile upon his face.
" I can feel the power coming full circle, back to its beginning bitches"
*After a few sweet pleasurable moments the raging king then gets back up and studies the assets before him
"the war we'll begin
will be the final fall of the nations flocks,
they have lead people to eternal slavery,
now destined to engage themselves in bloodbath
the powers will angelically fall into night like dead swans
to rise never again"
Michi: ...
As for your other objectives Michi, what of old Talon?
Michi: Dead...
Ry?
Michi: Captured...
Good Job, now fuck off
~~~~~~And
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Iwao
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Flips
And Michi Disappears, leaving only a few drops of blood
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~And

Back
*Back in the twisted hollow that was Jashin's chest Iwao grabs the bottle of Champagne and pours two more glasses: extending one towards the woman
As for you, I have something that will be of interest

Kurayami moved purposefully through the blackness of the night. She enjoyed the darkness. At night there was no one to disturb her, no distractions. For some, darkness brings paranoia. The fear of the unseen. However, Yami's eyes had adapted well to the dark, and she had learned to rely not only on her sight, but her other senses as well.
She was lost in thought as she arrived at Tenk's house, fumbling with the doorknob for a moment before spotting a small note pinned to the door. She reached up and pulled it free, straining her eyes to read it in the dark.
"Yami, Tenks is at the coliseum to participate in the tournament. If you're reading this it means he hasn't returned."
Confused, Yami folded the note away and turned towards the coliseum. It was obvious that the note was written by someone aside from Tenks, and he hadn't said anything about participating in the tournament.
"I guess it doesn't matter. It wasn't necessary for him to tell me, and I didn't tell him that I would be gone today either."
Through the dark, the girl could make out the outline of the coliseum. It's shadow figure looming over the surrounding buildings. She walked about for a few minutes before she found the competitor's entrance. Cracking the door open, she entered a dimly lit corridor. Her shadow played against the wall as she searched for her friend.

*All fun aside Tenks propped himself up from the wet road: crossing his legs and taking a seating posture as the rain continued it's slight graceful fall. The Ten'un aware that his back was throbbing again gingerly felt it with a couple searching fingers that when he brought back before his eyes were a shade of red. They had reopened up and the water had rendered the bandages useless letting the blood seep though. He sighs as he continues to study the blood mix with the rain and run down his arm.
Tenks: cool, your gonna have to tell me about it when we get home... as for my history
I guess The Ten'un Massacre happened a bit before you were born but ya this is the will of heaven blood: although they suppressed it for my fight so it's very unremarkable now... Basically my father Kiun Ten'un was born with impossible luck and spent his life building a clan and striving to gain control of the "luck"... going so far as trying to achieve "theoretical charka's" which have been debunked as fantasy by modern scholars. anyways long story short Konoha abandoned us at the last moment and let us be slaughtered by a small-time bandit named Iwao Ohira... I doubt you've heard of him... he spared me, Kiun's youngest son, as part of the spoils and proceeded to get rich off my "luck". Chalice is the girl who rescued me... If your interested I'll talk about it more later but right now I think we should continue home... this isn't really the place to talk about it as it's better listening to when tucked away in a warm, comfy bed then standing in the middle of a cold, forlorn, street getting poured on I would think.

As the two entered into the dimly lit house, Yami immediately took charge, searching for for some fresh bandages.
"Sit down and rest. Be careful not to press your back against anything. We're going to have to wash out the wounds before too long."
Finally finding what she was looking for, the girl sat beside Tenks and began wrapping the bandages around him. All thoughts of the "warm, comfy bed" she had longed for earlier were gone from her mind.

Tenks: Thanks yami... *yawn* what a nice way to end such a crazy day
Kurayami: sure...
*The Ten'un gets up and makes his way into the first bedroom and gingerly lowers himself onto the bed. He then takes a final look to Kurayami at his bedside.
Kurayami: are you comfortable?
SFX: fizzle, the candles goes out, leaving the house in darkness
Tenks: ya,, you did a great job: Im very cozy... guess my bloodline potency is starting to piece itself back together... the candles always go out when I should be sleeping... that was very cool of you
*figure appears out of the darkness and puts a hand upon Yami's shoulder
???: cool? your awesome Yami!
Kurayami: wha...
*The puppetteer girl falls asleep in a heart beat: collapsing into Chalice's waiting arms.
Chalice: whoa Tenks you have an amazing friend here, although a little too optimistic hoping to make you breakfast: judging by the wear on her features both of you will be sleeping till well into the evening. See my nefarious plan to make you two start training at night will succeed!
Tenks: yes, Im sure you had this all planned out
Chalice: yes, most definitely!
Tenks: ...indeed
Chalice: anyways I have gotten a mission for you to be started immediately after your part in the "Tournament of the Sun"
*she casts a faint glow on the scroll for Tenks to read it.
Mission Name: A Cold Heritage (http://metaaaal.free.fr/Divers/Lacuna Coil - Cold Heritage.mp3)
Rank: D
Payment: $100 per shinobi
Participants:Tenks Ten'un, Kurayami, and... Aeyeilizoa Ajasuto?
A Stage-coach driver has arrived from Kumo bringing word of a girl he brought to the Kagirinai Mansion built like a goddess with stunning purple hair and golden eyes. He says she said it was her dream to be adopted by the reputed clan as she had never knew her father and her mother was a spiteful soul. The key factor of his speech though is that the world seemed to accent her charms. The Stage Driver says he would have said something but he didn't notice it till long after they had parted ways at the Illustrious Manor.
He is now positive that the girl, "Emily", must have been a long-lost Ten'un.
It always mystified us how every woman that Kiun got with came back with him to Heaven Hill. We believe this is a respectable lead and that this mysterious girl could very well be an unknowing recipient of the Ten'un gift.
I'm sure you are as excited about this rumor as us at the Konoha Council are Ten'un. Your mission is to travel to Kumo with some escorts to find this young girl and then test to see if she unwittingly possesses the passive altercation. If so bring her back to Konoha, her rightful home.
You will notice attached to this mission statement is an signed and official transcript from the Hokage himself asking for Kumo's full cooperation in the matter.
Should be a nice and rewarding mission for all parties.
*Tenks almost shoots up in his bed with amazement but is held down a a firm yet soft grip upon his shoulder by Chalice, not letting him open up his injuries again through sudden movement.
Tenks: how am I spose to sleep now!?! this is amazing!
*Kurayami wakes up in a daze at the noise raised
Chalice: Call it... insurance that you stay up just a little bit longer to make sure you don't wake up till late in the evening!
Tenks: will you be coming?
Chalice: actually no, I have another mission of my own coming up soon and besides: I think with your new friend here I can truly say I believe in you
*she looks down in Kurayami's now sleepy curious eyes.
Chalice: both of you! It is time for you to start to fly on your own Tenks: although I will always be by your side... but as for now I must go take Yami here to the other bedroom.
Tenks: where are you gonna sleep?
Chalice: uh oh... looks like I'm bound for that sucky futon again...
Tenks: you deserve it for showing me this... revelation or whatever it is right before bed!!!!
Kurayami: what is going on?
Chalice: aw... you do me so such injustice Tenks you meany! haha, goodnight!
*she walks out with Kurayami who stares back at Tenks curiously until they exit the room.
SFX: Click, the door closes
Tenks: (whoa.... I can't believe things just keep coming together like clockwork!! but whose this "Aeyeilizoa Ajasuto" guy? and ...)
*after a few hours or retracing every word in the mission statement over and over in his head The God's Favorite finally falls to sleep.

Yami woke up in a fog, dragging herself to a sitting position. All was silent in the fading light. She turned to look out the window to see the sun coming....down?
" Ugh what happened last.."
Her words were cut off as the memories rushed back upon her. She had come back with Tenks and had gotten him to sleep, then Chalice showed up, and nothing after that made any sense to her.
She got up quietly and headed out into the main area of the house, going over to her puppet and untying a small bag containing all her belongings in it from the tail. She rummaged through it for a moment, producing a clean set of clothes.
As she headed for the shower, she noticed that there was no sign of anyone else being awake. Strange, considering how late it was, but Chalice had said something about sleeping late, she couldn't remember clearly.
It had been a long time since Yami had had a proper shower, and the warm water seemed to have life-giving properties. She took this as an opportunity to relax and spent a considerable amount of time just enjoying the feeling of water against her skin.
Finally, she shut off the water and got dressed. She wore casual dress for once, a short, black skirt and a long-sleeved gray shirt. As she came back into the living area, saw that Chalice was up and about as she stuffed her dirty clothes into her bag.
"Morning, Chalice. Er, afternoon."
Chalice chuckled to herself.
"Yup. You did sleep pretty late. Just as I planned. You look like you're feeling better at least. Just in time to head back out for training too. I just woke Tenks and he should be ready to go soon, so get anything you want to bring ready."
Yami sighed as she emptied the contents of her bag onto the floor and filled it with a variety of small weapons from her puppet. She wasn't going to haul the puppet itself down to Tenks' training grounds, but she may need some of it's weaponry.
She followed Chalice and Tenks out of the village and into their training area in the dark, stumbling down the rocky hillside that lay between them. As they arrived, Chalice turned to the other two with a smile on her face.
"Well, here we are. I guess we can train whatever you like, but I'm sure you'll be working especially hard today, eh Tenks?"

"Well, here we are. I guess we can train whatever you like, but I'm sure you'll be working especially hard today, eh Tenks?"
*Tenks was charged full of anticipation for the coming training, feeling refreshed and full of energy despite being rather stiff. He was surrounded by the two people most important in his life, and a clearing bathed in colors that seem to invigorate him
Chalice: now I guess it kinda sucks being stuck in vertigo as you still don't know the results of your battle and of course having an up-coming mission that could be a huge boost in your dream but bear with me Tenks: training charka control will help in the long run so you need to just push the craziness of the world aside and concentrate on the issue at hand... Tree walking to start on the journey of mastering charka control.
Aura's are especially taxing on untrained charka pools as although they only consume insignificant charka when engaged if not controlled appropriately when unleashed you can lose a ridiculous amount of charka and be left with significant body wear as well. Tree walking will help you learn to anchor the charka inside you and use no more then necessary.
*She takes a breath as she runs over the steps in her mind of tree walking so that it can be explained in a coherent manner.
-so basically all you do is walk over to the tree and place a foot upon it
-then you channel charka to the foot, taking note of how much is needed for the foot to stick: use too little and the foot won't stick, too much and it will repel
- Then you maintain the charka flow to that exact amount and when that is done you begin your ascent up the tree... contrary to popular belief this is the hard part as the beginning three steps can be done in a matter of minutes.
when you start moving it becomes very hard to maintain such a steady flow of charka as movement hampers uniform charka flow which is why...
*A moment of silence comes as she motioned to the Tiger Head Hook-sword's bound at Tenks's Waist
I suggest you keep those at standby cause you will fall ALLOT at the start, simply thrust the hooks into the tree bark and you don't have to face the unfortunate possibility of getting seriously hurt from a large fall, and considering the height of trees her in Konoha area such a fall could mean death!
hehe, since descending is harder then perhaps for today you should break up your tree walking training and just train tree maneuvering with the hook swords on the decent today. as using hook swords makes one far better at tree acrobatics then just using ones hands.
*finally turning to a quiet and patient Yami the dark geisha continues
anyways I'm sure you can figure it out Tenks for today I'm gonna work with Yami and perhaps even get a better understanding of just who she is, I'm sure you can handle it on your own Tenks
*The Ten'un appraises the looming tree's Konoha was famous for: suddenly feeling like an ant.
Don't worry, if you fall I'll be back to bury your corpse!
Tenks: ... that's some sadistic humor Chalice...
Chalice: ha! you have a tourney to win, a lost sister to meet, and a clan to rebuild! I don't think you need my inspiration not to die Tenks you emo!
*suddenly full of a new found vigor at the thought of the days ahead Tenks dashes over to the nearest tree, swords out, ready to commence in some growth
*Chalice gives Yami peaceful smile, now ready to begin training with the reserved yet interesting girl before her.
Chalice: wow I talked allot, lets go do something hmmmm?

Yami was a bit slow to react to Chalice, as she was busy thinking about how much faster Tenks would learn tree walking with proper instruction. She shook her head as the words echoed in her ears.
"Er. Alright. Did you have anything in mind? I really didn't expect to be doing much myself."
Chalice ran a hand through her hair slowly. Tenks was easy enough to motivate, but Yami could be a different story.
"Hmm. Well, I saw you pack up quite a few throwing weapons before we left. We'll work with those. Have you ever used any of them before?"
Yami shook her head slightly as she spoke. "No. Not aside from kunai and shuriken, and I'm not particularly good with either of those."
Chalice speaks softly as she finds a fallen branch to use as a target. "Alright. We'll with those and work up to other things then. You may know that there are two practical methods for throwing a kunai. The first is to let it sit in your palm with the blade laying over your extended fingers. Your thumb holding the knife flat in your hand. Your arm should be crossed over your chest so the blade is pointing over the shoulder of your off hand. You snap your arm forward so your fingers are pointing towards the target, releasing the hold from your thumb as your elbow joint locks. This technique can be improved quickly if you understand the points the effect the throw, and it's easy to get a lot of power into your throw this way.
In the second method, the blade is held similarly, but is thrown only th the flick of you wrist. It's much harder to get power into the throw this way, but it's easily adapted to throw multiple knives.
I've had enough long-winded explanations for today. Just try it."
Yami took five knives from her bag before tossing it aside. She took a look at the target Chalice had set up before she placed the first knife in her palm, trying to get her thumb positioning right. It hurt her thumb joint to get it in a position where she could apply even pressure and still release it quickly.
She raised her arm to fit the description Chalice had given of the first throwing method. She snapped her arm forward, trying to point at her target and releasing her thumb at the proper time.
The knife arced slightly in it's flight, dropping even lower than it would have it it had flown straight, lodging itself in the ground a foot or so in front of the target.
Chalice: You let go a little too late. Try again. The timing will come naturally as you practice."
Yami took her second knife and proceeded to throw it again, this time aiming a bit higher as well as applying more force and trying to release the blade earlier.
This time the kunai flew over the target, traveling in a nearly straight line before it began to lose speed an arced into the ground.
Again Chalice spoke up, informing Yami of her mistake. " You tried to hard that time. You have to find the balance of power and throw height, as well as the timing."
Yami tried to focus completely on learning from her next three throws, instead of actually trying to succeed with any of them. She thought she was starting to get the feel of it as Chalice gathered up the knives and tossed them back harmlessly.
This time around, she strove for perfection, trying to be as consistent as possible. Even so, only on knife out of the five hit the target. She wasn't discouraged though, she knew this would take time.
Yami tried again and again, never achieving the perfect five out of five she had hoped for, but she still felt as if she had improved quite a bit, and she knew this would come in handy eventually. All it took to bring someone down was one precise blow.
She tried throwing a few times with her off hand, and she wasn't too bad, but she wasn't up for repeating the process another twenty times to become as skilled as her right hand as she was with her left, and she rubbed her sore arms gently as they headed back to see how Tenks' training was coming along.

*The Ten'un ended his full-out run at the tree almost too late: skidding to a halt and almost falling face first into the tree only a foot or two from his face.
Tenks: (whoa... gotta settle down)
*The Purple-haired genin took a few calming breaths and slowly brings his left foot against the tree as he begins channelling charka to it.
SFX: BAM!! The God's Favorite goes flying a few feet backwards onto his back, still bruised and sore with his limbs spread out like he was making a snow angel.
Tenks: d-dd--d -aa aggghhh!!!!
Tenks: (okay... guess I'm still too giddy)
*The Ten'un began slowly meaningfully working his way back to his feet, shaking as he felt his back. Thankfully none of his wounds had reopened.
*His eagerness checked and feeling a new, rotten sensation of mortality the Ten'un once again places his foot against the now crippled oak, now a greater enemy then Shussui ever was! With a painfully slow cautiousness he started channelling charka to his left foot until the so-called stickiness effect was noticed.
Tenks: (okay, now to keep the amount constant and begin my ascent up the tree)
*Tenks stayed in the position with his foot pasted against the tree for two minutes until he was sure there was no changes in the charka amount and that it was being maintained perfectly.
*he took his first step, lifting his right foot now and going to place it on the tree: but it wouldn't make it there.
SFX: Wham! The God's Favorite's charka channelling wavered enough with the movement of his body to cause his fool to loose stickyness making him fall vertically down a couple feet back onto his aching back... which now trobbed in Hatred of it's owner.
*Tenks ground his teeth together, seething as his back muscles revolted for the next few moments: which stretched out for what seemed like ages.
Tenks: (okay, if I'm gonna waver my charka level I have to at least channel too much so I pitch forward a bit so I can actually use my Hook-swords to save me)
*Tenks got up once again methodically and faster, ignoring the remnants of muscles spasms, his mind set on another attempt
*The Ten'un placed his left foot back upon the tree, channelling the correct amount of charka to achieve "stickyness"
*He raised his right foot, making sure to keep the charka channelling even
*he took his first step, placing his right foot against the tree
Tenks: ah!
SFX:CRACK, THWOCK!
*The God's Favorite had forgot to channel charka into his right foot and when going to put weight on it had noticed his fault and the pain that could ensue. So he quickly channelled excess charka into his left foot, causing him to pitch forward enough to catch the bark with the hook swords and not fall upon his tender back, he got a bit of a whap on his front as it collided into the tree but anything was better then further aggravating his back. Pulling himself up to create some distance between his body and the tree he set his feet back against the tree and began to channel charka to them once again till the amount as uniform.
Carefully, so carefully, he removed the hook swords from the tree and started to stand up from his precarious place upon the trunk.
Tenks: (K I'm on the tree, both feet pasted with a uniform level of charka, time to take a step)
Carefully, so carefully, he took a step, much like earlier: just with charka in his foot this time (after-all, he's suppose to be a genius: no time for two screw-ups in a row). However once noticing his foot pasted instead of continuing on he took it back and placed it where it was before.
Tenks: (I'd better try a few repetitions with each before I get too high up: thank god I have a balanced Ten'un body or I'd have to approach my dominant foot with slight changes: but since I don't have one that's covered)
The Ten'un practiced taking each foot and sticking them against the tree a step up, then removing the foot and placing it back against the other a few times before he was confident he had taking a step covered.
*The God's Favorite takes a step
SFX: CRACK, THWOCK!
*Once again the Ten'un found himself laid out upon the tree, his hands above his head clutching the hook swords stuck into the tree: once again saving him from a painful fall.A bit of misery started etching into him over his latest failed attempt.
Tenks: (I forgot to factor in actually putting weight on the foot, Why can't Chalice be here to walk me through it...)
*the answer suddenly came to him, Chalice had decided it was time for him to step up. He was gonna have to start developing and researching his clan soon and he needed to start thinking on his own, as he held the gift, not Chalice, needed to make the dream a reality.
Tenks: (of course I know she will do what she can when needed, but for trivial stuff like this It is best I work it out and start developing a critical state-of-mind of my own.)
*Once again pulling himself up and propping against the tree he once again set his feet against the tree. He had only gotten one step so far, but he now, through critical thinking, wouldn't need to trial and error himself up the tree: it was all laid out in front of him.
*one foot after another, taking care to remember the deciding factors that would either make or break each step he began working his way up the tree, progressively getting faster. Sure his charka wavered the odd time and he'd find himself if the familiar position laid against the tree. But he never fell. And he always got back up. before too long he was up at the top of the tree: looking down at the specs that were Yami and Chalice below.
*Sure to an outsider the sheer amount of time it took him to take the first few steps would have seemed ridiculous: like he was some sort of moron or something but when he finally got started he really got started and ended up getting to the top "ridiculously" faster then most Genin. (although this would be partially due to never losing ground up the tree due to the hook swords)
Chalice: ah, he rose to the occasion and got to the top Yami... however I didn't really have him do tree-walking for charka control...
I wanted to talk with you about what your getting into.
Although this won't make sense to you Tenks soul is of the Indigo variety which has more relevance then you may think. his soul is one of potential as it is harmonious with nature, with the promise of self-mastery through drive, but most importantly an undying Devotion to that which he cherishes. Yami... your quickly entering the latter category which means that I advise you to leave before he gets down for your own sake... your starting on a path both you and I can't even fathom: one where we all will likely end up with nothing to gain... and nothing to lose. Iwao is that kind of man...
sorry that's wrong...
Iwao is that kind of monster.
*a single tear appears in the corner of the normally strong, independent dark geisha's left eye as she looks up upon Tenks rejoicing at his success within the canopy. Choking on her words Chalice continues...
but I'm not one to just say one side of the story to try to force you into the smart decision... if you do stay I will be eternally grateful... I've tried my best with Tenks but it's hard, god it's hard! ... he needs you.
*Chalice waves at Tenks
Chalice: I don't know what I've done getting him out, I've no clue of what he will become: in fact I'd even go as far as I'm scared of what he'll become... that's why he needs you, a certain kind of love that I can't provide...
Tenks: hey! now how do I get down haha!?!??! wait, dont tell me, I'll figure it out myself!
Chalice: god he's so special, I've never been a good judge of character but I now trust you with all my heart Yami. So now, make your decision and never look back: If your gonna leave leave before he gets too attached to you or you'll just be doing far more bad then good.
*Chalice walks away from Yami and begins clapping for the last, no wait according to the mission possible the second last of the Ten'un eyeing a good way down...
...yet perhaps Chalice's trust is ill-placed

Yami truly believed that she would be able to be there for Tenks as long as she was needed, and she wanted to be there. She felt that she needed him the same way he needed her, but she knew that she would always put his well being before her happiness. He was everything to her. How was she to know of the choice she would be faced with? How was she to know that there would be no option that allowed for both of them to be happy? How was she to know how quickly everything could be turned upside down?
At the time, she could only choose to stay with him, and she did so with complete understanding of the importance of her decision.
She felt like things were finally going her way as Tenks lowered himself from the height of the tree. She wanted to make the most of every minute she spent with him, which was certainly fortunate for her, as she didn't realize how few those minutes may be.
She had always said she would be grateful if she could be happy, even for a short time.

SFX: THWOCK
*Tenks stuck a hook sword into the trunk on the great tree and leaned away, hand to his eyes blocking out the sun as he studied the best path to take down the great tree. Atop a monstrous tree in this secluded part of the Konoha forest where his friend's looked like rag doll's below if Tenks were to fall it would certainly mean death.
Tenks: (Since Tree walking down would be harder due to gravity and acceleration There is a good chance I could fall from here and that is not worth the risk, so until I reach a safer height I'll train something with allot less risk yet just as much reward... I'll train tree acrobatics with my hook swords on the decent.)
SFX: THWOCK
*The Ten'un Boy thrusts the other hook sword into the trunk, returning back to his now very familiar propped up position and began unhooking each sword from the bark in slow but steady ascent.
Tenks: ( thats easy enough, yet if I start swinging my weight to the side back and forth I can start descending more in a zig-zag pattern faster with less stress on my muscles as well as presenting a harder target to hit.
*Only rocking a bit to begin with Tenks began a slightly faster rocky decent with relative ease growing a bit cocky and deciding to start to up the ante considerably before long
SFX: no thwock?!
*The Hook-sword glanced off the bark and the Ten'un began a dreaded fall: clawing at the bark with the hook swords for some sort of hold.Thankfully he found one and once again clasped by a cold sense of morality he reevaluates himself. panting as he dangled against the trunk.
Tenks: (K, I'm down a ways... take a short break and re-evaluate )
*Easing himself onto one of the more sturdy branches Tenks takes a breather massaging his rapidly tightening upper torso... after ten or so minutes he throws his hook swords back into the bark and props himself back up on the tree. zig-zagging down once again, albiet not as radically as he did before his fall, until deciding to try something else.
Tenks: (K, now I'll swing myself towards the branch down there, catch it, and use the momentum to carry me over to that other tree over there... It may sound like allot but it's just like swinging with ones hands... only faster and with more control)
*So the Ten'un swung towards the branch and latched onto it, using his momentum to fling off it and sink his hook swords into the trunk of the tree opposite him.
Tenks: HA! I'm getting it!
*Propping his feet into the tree and channelling some excess charka into them he burst away, turning his body and driving the hook swords back into the original tree. Loving this little trick he does it a few times before stopping and starting to do some more of the zig-zagging ascent down the tree.
It was then his grand finale was laid out before him.
Tenks: K guys... I'll throw myself at that branch, swing off it onto that branch then swing off it, hook into the trunk of the next tree and climb to the branch just a little ways up for a deserving breather!
*Propping up once again The Ten'un swung towards the first branch, clasping it and flying off it almost immediately: however the next branch was a little lower then ideal height so he had to lower the hook swords and when he clamped onto it he lost most of his speed due to the negating force.
He started rocking back and forth and after gaining the optimum force he unhooked from the branch and just barely made it into the final tree, climbing up and coming to rest in a inviting branch
Chalice: Tenks you lunatic! be careful, and if your trying to come down then stop going back up!
*The voice was surprisingly loud and caused the purple haired genin to look down.
Tenks: (whoa! I'm only a couple stories from the ground! guess It's time to finish up the tree walking.)
*Glad he hopefully wouldn't need to use his upper body too much more The Ten'un rises from the branches, chest heaving from exhaustion.
Tenks: right... I'm on my way... guess I was enjoying myself too much.

Yami finally turned to Chalice, desperately trying to pull her thoughts together.
" I want to stay with him, but I can't say that I know if I want to do it for him or myself. I don't understand. It just feels right. I fell like I have to stay. He may have told you, but I don't experience the full range of emotions, nonetheless understand them. I can't guide myself by thoughts and feelings at once. I have to choose one or the other. When I use thought, I can't rationalize my desire to be with Tenks no matter how hard I try, but when I use emotions, there is no doubt that I'm supposed to be with him. I'm not sure if it's really what I want or not, but I really haven't known him long.
Earlier you said something about getting to know who I am. You could say I am no one. I don't remember my family. I don't remember where I come from. I don't have any connections to anyone or anything from my past. Everything I have now I worked for myself. I don't even know my name. The one you call me by I gave to myself in a sense of irony, and it's become even more ironic sense I've met Tenks. I guess what you see is what you get, but you certainly have no reason to trust me. You may be the first person to ever trust me, and I wouldn't know. I would say this gives me an even greater respect of your trust though."
She sighed, trying to remain calm even after she opened herself up to this woman she had just met.
Now she would only have herself to blame.

Chalice: wow such awesome resolve Yami, despite having everything to gain and nothing to lose you risk so much, which is much harder then the opposite... at least thats how my parents viewed it and I must agree... as they knew first hand...
*Chalice zones out for a few moments staring at the Kiunic seals upon the trees around them with a certain reminiscent yet calculating intelligence in her eyes.
...you don't give yourself enough cred~
Chunnin Messenger: ahoy! It took me forever to follow your tracks and find this place! I have a scroll from the Tournament of the Sun outlining the victor of the Ten'un/Hozuki battle and I agree with the Konoha Council's decision, I hear talk they're thinking of replacing you with a competent sensai Chalice you publicity seeking whore, their is no reason for our god-given Ten'un to be losing to Trash Kumo shinobi.
Chalice: ... you read our letter?
Chunnin: ya bitch, I read it hoping that Konoha would come out on top, but like I said it seems he's still an amateur due to your pathetic training.
*Chalice clasped her hands together and began singing a non-sensible foreign song which to Yami's amazement made the flowers scattered around the clearing grew according to the melody and wrapped around the Chunnin, binding him in place as she walked nonchalantly over to his struggling figure.
Chunnin: Fucker, what are you gonna do? tentacle rape me? I don't like it like you do!
*suddenly she quit her lovely singing and unlocked her hands giving him a quick backhand to his face, which turned his head sideways as she grabbed his collar and whispers in his ear.
Chalice: what gives you the right to judge how I protect those that I love?
Chunnin: there ARE absolute truths, what you did was wrong regardless of the situation, your kind are the true problems with society, above the worst of criminals: unravelling civilization with your disgusting "relative" moral code as you progressively make more and more immoral filth "acceptable"
Chalice: Yami, turn away. I don't want you to see this
*The Dark Geisha raises her hand before his eyes
Chalice: Sanctimonious Bastard... do you see this hand?
Chunnin: ya...
Chalice: It's about as close to god as you'll ever get
Chunnin: !!!!!!!
*Chalice begins an outlandish chant and the Chunnin immediately engages in a desperate struggle to get some distance from the hand but she swipes brings it to his face too fast, giving it little more then a loving tap, followed by letting go of his collar which drops the now inanimate young man to the ground awkwardly.
Immediately after hitting the clearing floor her chant stops and the Chunnin springs back to life, cold sweat immediately forming across this face as he quickly tries to grasp what is going on.
Chunnin: I- I - I lived!
Chalice: now give me the scroll and leave.
*The pompous young man stumbles to his feet, dusting himself off
Chunnin: I'm reporting this, your gonna regret your actions!
Chalice: report what? your unscathed.
*It was then the Chunnin started to take notice of his perfect state, feeling from his feet all the way up to his head, which he continues to fondle preciously as he takes the letter out of his shirt pocket and hands it to Chalice, then backing up silently and turning around... speed walking into the night... and never looking back.
Chalice: sorry Yami, you can turn back now.
Yami turns back to notice the lovely Jounin studying the letter, once finish Chalice turns to Tenks and speaks loudly yet calmly to the Ten'un Prodigy
Chalice: Tenks, It seems even though the fight ended in a draw the Konoha council has decided to remove you from the Tournament to not lose any more face.
Tenks: fair enough, are you okay Chalice? I woulda came down but I probably have died.
Chalice: ha, I'm fine, relax sokay? Oh and it states Shussui will be engaging in the semi-finals tomorrow if you wanna go watch! he'd definitely appreciate that... just gotta get down first hmm!?!
Tenks: good Idea sensai! that means I'm gonna have to get some sleep as well!
Chalice: uh oh... guess this means your back on the daytime livin?
Tenks: for a bit unfortunately I guess
Chalice: aw! and just when you'd readjusted, O wellz enjoy yourself... I think I'll stay and continue working with Yami.
*Chalice gives Yami a thumbs up as the God's Favorite rises off the branch, ready to finish his descent of the tree.

Yami was beginning to understand that these two had made more enemies than friends. It was obvious that Chalice was looked down on even by this chuunin assigned to grunt work. Normally, Yami would have stood up for her, seeing as she had only done god in the time she had known her, but it wasn't her place to speak up, and it seemed Chalice was handling things herself.
At some point during the slew of insults the chuunin was spewing, Chalice had snapped, and taken action. Yami turned aside as instructed as Chalice went about her business.
Judging by the chuunin's reaction, Chalice had placed him under a genjutsu, probably making him believe he was undergoing some physical torture or attack, though he was actually unharmed.
Yami spoke under her breath as she watched the man scurry away.
"What did you do to him?"
Chalice either didn't hear her or ignored her, however, as she was already talking with Tenks, who was still rather high up in a tree. Apparently he would be leaving after he got down, but she and Chalice would work a while longer.
Eventually, Chalice turned back to Yami, having calmed herself now.
"What to work on next? Have you already learned tree walking?"
Yami nodded her head slowly, knowing what came next, but somewhat reluctant to try it.
Chalice: "Well alright. Let's move on to water walking shall we? There's a small stream not too far south from here where we can try it. Follow me."
Yami looked back up at Tenks for a moment, waving before she disappeared into the forest behind Chalice. She followed close behind her as they made their way trough the light foliage. Before long, the sound of flowing water overpowered that of their own footsteps.
"Here we are," Chalice said, turning back to Yami with a smile. "Let's get started. Water walking is similar to tree walking, but you have to constantly mold chakra into the water as it's always moving beneath you. This means that you can waste a lot of chakra just standing on water if you use too much. I don't think it will take you too long to be able to do it, but it may be awhile before you find the right amount of chakra. Give it a try..."

Yami walked slowly down to the riverbank, looking down into the rushing water. She hesitated for a moment, but then placed her left foot on top of the water cautiously. She molded chakra into her foot and then released it into the water, steadily increasing the amount used until she felt it could support her weight.
Finally, she lifted her right foot off the ground, shifting all of her weight onto the foot on the water. The amount of chakra she was applying was enough to hold her up, but the rushing water beneath her shook her violently, causing her to lose her balance.
In an attempt to steady herself, Yami ceased to concentrate on molding chakra, and her support gave way quickly. Before she even realized what had happened, she was underwater and being pulled quickly downstream. Struggling against the current, she swam to the bank and pulled herself out of the water slowly.
Yami shook her head as she walked back over to Chalice, sending a spray of water from her hair in all directions. Chalice laughed as she came near.
"That wasn't so bad for a first try. Any time where you only have one foot on the water, it will be much more difficult to balance. Give it another go and keep that in mind."
Yami went down to the water again, placing her foot on the water and molding chakra through it just as before. This time though, she moved her second foot onto the water quickly, pushing chakra through it as well. It took her a moment to balance the chakra flow of them both, but once that was accomplished, she felt that her footing was steady enough.
Cautiously she took a step, struggling to keep her balance while she was on one foot. Then another, this time plummeting below the surface just as her foot came back down. She had lost the balance of the flow of chakra between her feet.
As she pulled herself out this time, Yami waved Chalice to silence.
" I'm starting to understand. I think I can figure it out on my own now."

*Tenks Ten'un stood up on the trunk, facing downwards at the last, most dangerous part of the ascent. Hand to his eyes like an explorer examining the darkening night, rife with the majestic aurora borealis glow emanating from the seals attached to the trees, the stunning orange light radiating from the seal upon his tree especially bathed him in it's brilliance. It felt like the color orange SHOULD feel. it felt like his body and chakra was getting restored naturally, organically... unlike those quick fix cancer-laced chemical pills sold at the stores. The God's Favorite felt tremendous as his positive mindset was binding with the negative forces of the night, empowering him.
Tenks: ha! thanks for disposing of those rancid pills for me Shussui! don't worry, Imma coming to bury your body!
Tenks: (hmmmm, can't fall thru trial and error at all this time, there is only one way to save myself this time and it will hurt. Lets see, gravity and faster acceleration are the only factors that make descending harder then ascending. As long as I keep those two factors In check Im fine...I can always do "that" move but it would hurt sooo much!)
*So the Ten'un, keeping his speed in check while concentrating on adapting to gravity started lifting each foot one bit by bit, continually adjusting his chakra to the shifts of weight and the play of gravity: once cautiously confident he began descending a snail-paced shuffling step at a time, progressively speeding up, then a mere one story from the ground it happened
SFX: Slip
Tenks: !!!!!!! gotta en masse chakra to my feet NOW !!!!!!!
*channelling a furious level of chakra to his feet he was sent backwards, bark flying out from below his feet like a carpet being pulled away, raising his hands over his head and to the side the hook swords managed to find notches in the trunk, stopping the notable descent while at the same time seeming to rip his arms from his sockets. Tenks ground his teeth together in agony, stifling a scream. The Ten'un then pulled himself up from the awkward position, stuck to the tree as if it was a cross with just his arm muscles, which took every once of his being before finally propping feet against the tree, channelling chakra, and getting up wearily and finishing the last few meters of his journey. Finally on solid ground Tenks spaced for a few minutes, bathing in the nourishing light of the seals, before realizing he had to be on his way fast if he wanted to catch Shussui's evening match
Tenks: Wait, I'm not done yet
*quickly rising back to his feet he ran over and cannon-balled in the pool at the northern end of the clearing, clothes and all, to knock the sleep out of himself and get back to his senses: however the co-inciding scream down-stream that flowed from the pond shocked him back out of the pond immediately
Yami: *Gasp* AHH!!, the water's cold!
Chalice: er... wasn't your fault, that wave of water that foiled this attempt came from up-stream... wait a minute... TENKS! WHAT THE HELL DUDE!
Yami: um... what's Tenks got to do with this
Chalice: owz, I know his sort and they're crafty like that, for sure.
Yami: .....
Chalice: well, get back up for the love of Kiun!, I'll gotta finish beating these water-walking principles into you !!
*Tenks, refreshed and guilt-free was already gone, booking it towards the tourney to see his buddy shussui go punch some random baby faced genin.

Yami lifted herself up from the wet ground, shivering. She wanted to finish this up quickly. The growing cold certainly didn't make her feel any better about being tired and soaking wet. She could barely see to the other side of the water now, but she had made it her goal to make it across at least once.
She strode wearily to the waterside, the weight of her water-filled clothes slowing her down. Slowly, she placed one foot on the water, pumping chakra through it. Then the other. The process would be tedious until it had been done enough that it came naturally.
Carefully, she took a few steps, sure to apply more chakra to each foot while it was the only one on the surface. She knew that she would be able to cross already if she hadn't used most of her chakra. Though one of the purposes of the exercise was to cut down on the amount of chakra used.
Trying to regain her focus, Yami cautiously took another step, the voice of Chalice ringing out behind her.
"Almost there!"
This sudden outburst startled the girl on the water. She panicked for a moment, completely losing her balance and chakra control, releasing a cry of surprise as she feel into the dark waters. She gasped for breath as she clawed her way to the water's edge.
"H-How did it get that cold so fast!?" She sputtered, shivering uncontrollably. " One more try. I am not going back in that water after that."
Yami trudged back over to the stream quickly, not wanting to waste time warming herself if she was just going right back in anyway. She wasted no time getting back on the water, a quiet look of determination on her face.
She moved steadily, taking no time between steps. If she was going to make it across she was going to do it now. She didn't even realize how quickly she was making ground, and she was almost across before she knew it. She struggled against the current for the last few steps before lifting her self onto shore, lifting her hands above her head.
" Finally! At least I didn't half drown myself again. "
Yami's victory was short lived however, as Chalice quickly pointed out the obvious.
"Alright! Now you just have to make it back."
Yami fell silent as realization dawned on her. She hissed in frustration as she turned back, stepping back onto the flowing water. She had barely taken a step before she fell through, cursing Chalice under her breath as she swam frantically back to the bank she had originally come from.
She cast a somewhat angry glance up at Chalice as she finally drug herself onto dry land.
" Now that I'm cold and wet, can I go and try to get some sleep?"
Chalice couldn't help but laughing at the girl for a moment before answering.
" Alright, let's go. And sorry. I didn't think it would be quite this cold by now."

The Ten'un aware that his back was throbbing again gingerly felt it with a couple searching fingers that when he brought back before his eyes were a shade of red
interpunction would’ve made this sentence a bit better, because it needed a re-read to be understandable. Same with the following:
Aura's are especially taxing on untrained charka pools as although they only consume insignificant charka when engaged if not controlled appropriately when unleashed you can lose a ridiculous amount of charka and be left with significant body wear as well.
Tiny spelling errors (“it’s” where “its” was needed, “your” and “you’re”, “then”/”than”, “allot” for “a lot” and such) and a continuous error (charka) :p
You switch between present and past.
both of you! It is time for you to start to fly on your own Tenks
Didn’t make much sense to me, Chalice addresses both of them, but then only talks to one of them? :p
There’s a question I have with the hook swords, I can understand that you use them to get a grip on a branch or on a tree if you used the loop of the sword to grapple something, but I have a bit of trouble with them attaching to the side of the tree (that’s why I asked to see your blades). It only has a very tiny “flipback” in its design, meaning it only has a very limited “grappling” possibility (to me), especially when the blades were held vertically alongside the tree. This would mean that not much of the blade could penetrate the bark, aside from scraping the surface, slowing you down slightly. And if it did penetrate the tree, then it would’ve been quite a hassle to get it out, I think, since it would either turn the sword sideways, or bend it, because of the strain / weight. But that’s just my feel on the situation. Nothing bothersome, as I could imagine the mechanics quite well, just that it might be a bit more difficult.
REMZ:
Weapon skill increased: knives
Chakra control increase
Chakra pool increase
Water-walking increase (not completely mastered apparently)
My CC:
Overall, the level of writing seems a tad above of VRR, with the only single spelling error being a consistent “it’s” where “its” was required. You do however usually keep it far shorter than VRR does, while VRR goes a bit further with how he trains. I did like your description of how to launch a knife / kunai / shuriken. It was a very good description.
You seem to live off of VRR’s posts quite a bit. Maybe that’s because you do not wish to godmod his NPC. It’s not bothersome, it just seems like you’re tagging along and adapting to whatever VRR writes. And I can understand it fits your char a bit more. So that’s why I have less to add to it.
Overall, I must admit that I wasn’t looking forward to this training, because I thought the “dual”-training was just a way to gain training without having to write equal amounts of posts, compared to single-char training threads, but it was quite interesting to read. Remz succeeds well at keeping his char “emotionless” / “to the point”, while Ten’un has his megalomaniacal traits, but still maintains his human qualities (read: failures ;)).
It was also good that it was possible to switch between the two, because I would’ve gotten bored reading the same training the entire time.
Keep it up. (And if you disagree with anything, feel free to complain to Azure, moehahahaha)

In the dark of night, four women moved towards a single meeting place, traveling in pairs. For one, this meeting would be a surprise. This pair was that of Kurayami and Chalice, treading steadily back to their home in the chilly darkness.
The cold wind was picking up, putting Yami on edge. The foggy darkness and biting cold made the night seem unreal. As if it was closing in upon her. She shivered as she followed Chalice through the gates of Konoha, trying not to lose her in the gloom.
The walls and structures now surrounding her only increased the feeling of claustrophobia. She was eager to get back and sleep, but before long she would have other things to occupy her.
As the figure of the sought after shelter came into view, the silhouettes of two others appeared as well. Standing still as statues, the second pair stood before the first.
A sharp chill ran down Yami's spine as the soft voice reached ears. It was cold, yet calm and strangely familiar. Comforting in a way she didn't understand.
"We've been waiting."
Chalice stepped forward, placing herself in front of Yami, trying to get a good look at the two before her. Both were wearing long cloaks, concealing their forms, and had long, flowing hair. The voice of the first confirmed that it was a woman, and that of the second followed suit.
"I'll handle this one."
The speaker stepped forward, revealing streaks of red in her otherwise black hair. She chuckled to herself as she held Yami's puppet in front of her.
"You really shouldn't leave these things lying around, but I guess you won't be needing it anymore anyway."
Chalice turned
