hello all, this is my first post here in these forums

i am currently making a naruto rpg, and i was hoping i could bounce the basic principles off you guys. Right now i'm having a hard time determining how many Genjitsus (illusions) there actually are so far in this series. The only one that comes to mind is the one used by the nins in the chunnin exam to tired he naruto group.

isnt the body switch an illusion. it is when you switch your body with something else right before the attack

that is kawarimi no jutsu...
bunshin no jutsu is multiply with fake body
kage bunshin no jutsu real body multiply

besides it is genjutsu not genjitsu

genjustsus are illusion techniques

bunshin no jutsu is a genjutsu, but kage bunshin isn't
kawarimi isnt a genjutsu either, since you ACTUALLY switch your body with something else

don't forget the genjutsu that Kakashi pulled on Sakura, where he made her think Sasuke was all stuck up with kunai and shuriken and stuff

henge (transform) is a genjutsu
also when Iruka was testing team 7 (Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura) he used a genjutsu on Sakura, might want to watch that episode in the anime, as it isn't in the manga

the technique i was refering to was, when you are about to get attacked with say, an arrow, and you switch your body with a log.

sweet guys, thanks for the replies.

Sadly, most of the genjutsus i've seen are only refered to as a genjutsu, with no real name.... i guess i'll have to make some up.

wich idiot looks into someone's eye when he has a sharingan so i dont think that itachis move is a very good one :? but i do admit thats its ultra powerfull and effective

Isn't it Ironic that Gai was the only one to figure out not to look directly into Itachi's eyes? It would seem obvious, but all those strategic ninjas couldn't figure it out.

LOL thats because he is always messing around having challenges with Kakashi. I think Gai suspects some type of mental munipulation hehehe. The Gai he is a sly one. ^_^

genjutsu is when you make your apponent see and feel things difrent from reality, some genjutsus target only 1 opponant ( most of them )
and some jutsu alter a specific target and thus target everything that looks at it

henge is a genjutsu that alters a specific target
and itachis sharingan move targets only one apponant

I'm not sure of which episode, but when the Naruto team and Kabuto are together during the 2nd part of the Chunnin exam, those three ninjas they battle use all genjutsu to decieve the team. Its the ninjas where one has an eyepatch, one uses both his eyes, and one has both completely covered.

I think its episode 35-36: Replication Match! I'm the Main Character! were both those yellow clothed fisher people? use regular clones while Naruto uses shadow clones and they win in the end because all of them are below genin average strength and yes they dug holes and hide in them

Henge isn't a genjutsu. The ninjas actually change into the object. This should be pretty obvious if you think about the two times Naruto used it in the Wave Country Arc. First to get behind Zabuza as a shadow shuriken and attack him, and later to get behind those two mercenaries(?) as two shurikens and attack them. Also, when Monkey King Enma goes into the diamond stick transformation, and the third Hokage proceeds to fight using him.

Genjutsu means illusionary techniques, so considering that henge no jutsu is not an illusion and the user actually changes, I would say it is ninjutsu instead of genjutsu.
