*The morning sun shone through Kaishi's bedroom window. The soft rays hit his face and he squinted his eyes and covered them with his hand. He pulled his covers over his head and murmured something. Suddenly, he swung his covers to the floor, sprang out of the bed and dashed for his Shinobi Headband he had just received yesterday. Putting on his clothes, Kaishi had never felt happier, for today was the day he was going to begin training and be on his way to becoming famous. Kaishi was already in the doorway on his way out, when he heard a voice behind him*
Dad : Aren't you forgetting something??
Kaishi : Good morning dad ! *A smile came accross Kaishi's face and he hugged his dad* Sorry I didn't say bye, I was too excited about starting my training today. I didn't even brush my teeth.
Dad : I'm so proud of you, passing the Academy is no small accomplishment, but before you go off to train, let me tell you one thing : The eye of the mind guides your destiny, but YOU guide your path.
*Kaishi stared at his father. A puzzled look came over Kaishi's face, and he let go of his dad*
Dad : Even though I can't see does not mean I am blind to my surroundings, Kaishi. What I said may not make sense to you now, but one day, when hard times are upon you, you will. Now, I'm right behind you, you go ahead and I'll catch up.
*Dad smiled and pated Kaishi's shoulder. Kaishi smiled back, turned around and bolted out the door. Kaishi had planned his training from the day he entered the Academy. He decided that the perfect spot to train, was the forest surrounding the Hot Spring he had visited just yesterday. Kaishi's house was right on the outskirts of the forest, with the Academy about 2 kilometers to the North. Making his way in-between the enormous oaks, it seemed as they were going to close in, and crush Kaishi at any instant. Turning a particulalry large oak tree, Kaishi ran into his dad, and evaded him just in time, by side-stepping to the right and tumbling on the ground.*
Dad : You're late.
Kaishi : How did you....??
*Before Kaishi could finish, his dad cut him off*
Dad : That does not matter. What does matter is that we have to begin your training as soon as possible if you want to do well in the upcoming Tournament of the Sun. We will start by learning how to control chakra flow. Your task is to walk up this large oak you just passed !!!
*Kaishi's eyes widened and his lower jaw dropped. This task seemed impossible to him. The Oak must have been at least three stories tall. Kaishi looked at his dad, but his dad, with his arms crossed, legs spread at shoulder level, and a grinn on his face. Kaishi quickly understood that this was no time for questions and sprinted toward the Oak. Setting his right foot on the massive trunk, Kaishi tried to get some grip, but slipped and landed face flat on the ground. He got up and looked at his father.*
Dad : I like your enthusiasm, but you don't even know HOW to control chakra flow do you?? What do they teach you in the academy these days?? Anyways, all you have to do is to imagine the chakra flowing through your body, next, you concentrate all your chakra into the bottom of your feet. To do that, you must imagine the chakra flowing into your feet. Got it?
*Kaishi got up off the ground and closed his eyes. He extended his arms forward at shoulder lenght leve; and bent his palms up so his fingers were pointing up towards the sky. A light breeze swept around the large Oak and Kaishi's torn pants, softly swayed them back and forth. The sound of birds chirping, echoed off in the distance, and the rustling of leaves filled the air. Kaishi imagined his chakra flowing to his extended arms, his fingertips, and back down to his feet. He opened his eyes and lunged forward towards the tree. He placed his right foot his right foot on trunk*
SFX : KREEEEEK *The sound of tree bark cracking under Kaishi's foot*
*Kaishi then placed his left foot on the trunk and felt himself being lifted off the ground. Suddenly his left foot gave way, Kaishi struggled to think about the chakra flowing into his feet, but he was too slow and slipped.
SFX : BOOOOOM *Kaishi landing smack on his back on the ground below him.*
*Kaishi felt his back muscles tighten up from the impact and his face squinted. To prevent himself from screaming out, Kaishi filled his mouth with air and held it in until the pain faded. He slowly got up and dusted himself off.*
Kaishi : ( Dammnit !!! I didn't think this was going to be so hard )
*It was past noon already. Kaishi had been training all morning , but could not get past going up the tree higher than two steps.*
Kaishi : Why isn't this working. There is supposed to be proggress, but I haven't done anything but fall all day!! ( OK, just relax, think about why you fall every second step. )
*Kaishi closed his eyes and began thinking about his training so far.*
Kaishi : ( Ok, I can imagine my chakra flowing through my entire body. I even feel the chakra in my right foot when I crush the tree bark by stepping on the tree trunk, but how come I don't feel the same thing in my left foot?? ) *Kaishi concentrated really hard on the possible reasons he that could happen. Kaishi sat down on the mud and began thinking and going over numerous situations and possibilites, it finally hit him* ( I GOT IT!!!! I am concentrating too much chakra into my right foot that it curhses the tree bark, and not enough in my left foot, that's why nothing happens when I place my left foot on the tree trunk !! All I have to do is distribute the chakra evenly to both of my feet )
*It was dark now, Kaishi had spent almost four hours thinking of why the right foot smashed the bark he stepped on and why his left foot didn't. Kaishi quickly got up and closed his eyes again, extending his arms at shoulder level, facing his palms forward so that his fingers pointed to the now dark sky filled with thosands of flickering lights. Kaishi's dad, now concealed in the darkness, still standing in the same spot when the training began, smiled faintly and began to walk towards the house. As Kaishi's dad passed by him, Kaishi opened his eyes and bolted toward the trunk. He placed his right foot on the trunk and the bark crakced under his right foot, sending debrees left and right*
Kaishi : Not this time !!!
SFX : KREEEEK
*He placed his left foot on the trunk and this time, the bark cracked under his left foot and debrees flew everywhere as well. Kaishi smiled, and placed his right foot higher up the trunk, followed by his left even higher. What happened next, was all a blur. The only thing Kaishi remembered was seeing the stars up in the sky, and blacking out. When he came to it was still dark. Kaishi didn't even feel the pain in his back anymore, for all those numerous falls had numbed it all away. The moon now shone directly over him and cast a soft light onto the large Oak Kaishi was practicing on.*
Kaishi : (What happened, did I make it?? ) *He began to get up* AHHHHH!!! *A sudden outburst of pain hit Kaishi in the head. He grabbed onto the back of the head and felt a large bumb* Where the hell did this come from?
*As soon as Kaishi said that, he looked at the large Oak. He almost stumbled back at the the sight in front of him. The large tree trunk he had been practicing on had foot molds all the way up to the top of the tree. Where the foot molds were, all the bark was slashed up, as though cut by something extremely sharp. Kaishi looked in amazement, as the large oak basked in the moonlight*
Kaishi : I MADE IT !!!!!!!

*The sun began to rize over the horizon. The fresh dew, scattered on the leaves of the Oaks, shimmered in the young sunlight. Kaishi had been training all day yesterday and was perfecting his chakra contol all of last night. The pain in his head and back was still there and very much felt by Kaishi, but he didn't mind. The large Oak Kaishi was training at looked nothing like it did last night. The trunk had almost all of it's bark cut away by Kaishi's chakra emulating from the bottom of his feet. Taking one last look at the large Oak, Kaishi turned around and headed towards his house. After all, he deserved a rest after one full day of non-stop training. Walking on the musty ground, Kaishi could see his house in between the trunks of the Oak off in the distance. Quickening his pace, Kaishi was eager to get home. After a few minutes of walking, Kaishi passed the last Oak and his house came into full view. Suddenly, Kaishi was starrtled by a voice coming from his right. Kaishi quickly turned around and jumped back a little bit. Kaishi's dad was leaning up against one of the Oaks, about 10 meters away from where Kaishi was, his arms crossed, he turned his head towards Kaishi.*
Dad : And where do you think you're going??
Kaishi : I'm going to take a break, I'm exhausted from yesterday's training.
Dad : Well what did you expect, it takes time and dedication to become an expert shinobi. *Kaishi's dad stood up and reached into his pocket, taking out an apple and tossing it to Kaishi* Here, eat this. You will take a break when I tell you to.
*Kaishi bit into the apple once and put the rest in his pocket. As soon as he was about to ask his dad a question, Kaishi's dad pulled out a scroll from his pocket and held it up in his right hand. Kaishi stared at the scroll. The sun was fully visible over the horizon now, a leaf, blown off by the wind, slowly rocked to the ground.*
Dad : You think you are ready for this, or would you like to take a nap?? *Kaishi's dad said mockingly*
Kaishi : You bet I am !! *Kaishi said in a confident tone, and launched himself up one of the tree trunks, bark flying everywhere as the ran up the tree.*
Dad : Ahhh, I see you almost mastered your chakra control, but remember, there is always space to improve.
*Kaishi's dad tossed the scroll up in the air towards Kaishi. Kaishi quickly ran down the tree, this time sending even more bark flying in all dorections, and caught the scroll. Kaishi opened the scroll and read it out loud.*
Body Flicker Technique
Name: Shunshin no Jutsu
Type: D Rank, Ninjutsu, Supplementary
Element: None
This jutsu allows for high-speed movement over short distances. To the observer it appears that the user had teleported. This is performed by using chakra to temporarily boost a user's reflexes. Longer the distance traveled, the most chakra used up.
THIS JUTSU IS WATCHED EXTREMLY CLOSELY IN COMBAT
Dad : Well, you've almost mastered controlling you chakra, and it seems like your chakra pool is pretty large enough to be able to travel over longer distances.
*Kaishi looked at his dad with a confused look on his face*
Kaishi : How do you know I have a large chakra pool??
Dad : Well, I'm sure you noticed that everytime you step on the tree trunk with one of your feet, the bark underneath it cracks and breaks off? Normally, a small indent or maybe even nothing at all would be left as a mark, but in your case, there is a deep mold on the place where you stepped, and because of your wind affinity, it looks like the bark has been cut, which is actually what happened. Get it now??
Kaishi : Uhh, yea, I guesss....
Dad : Good, because I am not going over it again. Now we will begin practicing your Shunshin. The basics of it is this : You have to be able to temporarily send chakra boosts to a particualr part or parts, of your body and increase your relfex time. This is a bit different than tree walking, because this time, you have to quickly send chakra boosts to parts of your body, NOT keep it there. Now let's train....
*Kaishi's dad suddenly turned around, reached his hand behind his back and with lightning speed, threw a kunai headed straight toward Kaishi. The kunai grazed Kaishi's left shoulder as he barely managed to dodge it and lodged itself in a nearby tree trunk. Kaishi quickly regained his balance and with anger and confusion in his eyes, looked at his father*
Kaishi : What was that for ?!
Dad : You learn by experiencing, not talking ! Now CONCENTRATE !!!!!!!
*Kaishi's dad reached behind his back and pulled out two kunai this time !! Again, with lightning speed, he threw them at Kaishi. One of the kunai heading for Kaishi's left leg and the other heading for Kaishi's chest. Kaishi tried to concentrate his chakra, but the kunai were heading too fast his way. He quickly kicked up his left foot and leaned his body to the right, dodging both kunai, which also lodged themselves in the same tree trunk as the first kunai. This time, Kaishi quickly spread his legs to shoulder level and straightened his arms and opened his palms, so that his fingers were pointing at the sun, now almost in the middle of the sky. Two more kunai sparkled in the sunlight and headed straight for Kaishis right leg. Kaishi quickly jumped to the side, almost hitting a tree trunk right next to him, when two more Kunai appeared right before his head.*
Kaishi : (SHIT!!!)
*Kaishi reached out his left hand to try and dodge the kunai by pushing off the tree next to him. Kaishi closed his eyes and squinted*
SFX : KREEEEEK *The sound of the tree bark cracking under Kaishi's palm*
*When Kaishi opened his eyes, he was about 1 meter away from the tree. He looked at his dad, who had a smile oh his face. The trunk, off of which Kaishi had pushed off, had a mold of his hand and the bark was all cut up.*
Dad : That was good, if you wouldn't have dodged those Kunai, I would be without a son right now. Although what you did was more of an instinct than strenght of will, it was defenitely Shunshin.
*Kaishi smiled faintly, but the thought of his dad actually killing him was not very fun. It was past noon now, and the sun shone brightly up in the heavens. Sweat dripped down Kaishis face, and the light wind blew it dry on the spot. The sweat drops that managed to roll down his cheeks, eneded up on the ground around him and were creating little pools of sweat around Kaishi's feet. Suddenly, two more kunai flashed in the sunlight and flew past Kaishi's head.*
Dad : You don't have time to daydream !!!
*In response, Kaishi just closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, breathed out and opened his eyes with a cofindent and determined look almost bulging out of them. Kaishi's dad smiled, reached behind his back and pulled out two kunai. He threw the first one straight at Kaishi's chest. This time, Kaishi didn't seem to hesitate as much. With the kunai headed straight for Kaishi, he planted his right foot firmer into the ground and pushed off.*
SFX : WHOOOSH *The sound of Kaishi using Shunshi*
*Kaishi appeared about one meter to the left of his original location. As the kunai flew by, his father quickly threw the other Kunai right at Kaishi. Kaishi quickly planted his left foot firmer into the ground and pushed off again.*
SFX : WHOOOSH
*As the kunai flew by, Kaishi was standing about one meter to ther right. His dad smiled and straightened his back*
Dad : Ready for more ?
*It was dark now, the sun had set behind the horizon and the moon now ruled the sky. It emitted a light glow, like an old fashioned wax candle. The trees cast giants shadows, blending in perfectly, with the darkess of the night. The tree that Kaishi stood by, now had hundreds of Kunai lodged in it. It almost seemed like it was made of metal, not wood. Kaishi stood next to the tree, using his right hand to lean on it and keep himself from falling down. Even though Kaishi's dad was blind, he could tell that Kaishi was exhausted. Kaishi had almost used up his whole chakra dodging kunai after kunai using Shunshin, and was ready to collapse. With one last effort, Kaishi stood up straight.*
SFX : WHOOOSH
*Kaishi appeared in front of his dad and instantly collapsed in his arms, unconscious.*
Dad : You did well my son, you deserve some rest.
*Kaishi's dad smiled and carried Kaishi to the house*

*Kaishi opened his eyes to find himself laying in his room, his legs and forearms bandaged up. He sat on his bed for a second, trying to remember what had happened that caused him to end up like this. After about ten minutes of laying around and thinking, Kaishi decided that it wasn't that important and got out of bed, put on his clothes over his bandages and went outside to look for his dad. Even though it was already noon, the sunlight was blocked out by the dark clouds hovering in the sky, carrying rain with them. The signs of a light drizzle were already evident, for the ground was moist and the nearby Oaks were covered in a transparent coat of water. Kaishi walked around to the back of the house, where he found his dad standing under one of the Oaks, looking up at the clouds.*
Kaishi : Hey dad !
Dad : Oh, you're up. How do you feel ??
Kaishi : I feel great actually, but why do I have all these bandages on me??
Dad : Oh, that. When we were practicing your Shunshin, you used up all your chakra and I had to rush you to the hospital.
Kaishi : And how long ago was that??
*It began to rain now. The sound of water drops hitting nearby leaves filled the air.*
Dad : It was two days ago, you were sleeping for quite a while.
Kaishi : What, I've been asleep for that long ?! We have to get back to my training, I have a tournament coming up, and my oponent isn't exactly a rookie Shinobi.
Dad : Ahahah, I like your enthusiasm, so today I am going to reveal a secret to you.
*Kaishi stared at his dad with excitement. The rain began to pour harder now and Kaishi's clothes began to get really wet. Kaishi's dad walked out from under the tree and into the open. To Kaishi's amazement, the raindrops did not hit his dad. It seemed as though somehow, the water was being diverted around his dad's body. Kaishi didn't understand what was going on*
Kaishi : How are you doing that !? *He exclimed in a higher tone because of the sound the rain was making*
Dad : I know it seems like I am controlling the water around me, but it's actually far from it. My chakra control is so well developed, that I can emit chakra from every part of my body at the same time and make the water go around me. But as you can see, the rain drops are still very close to me. This is the same method as tree walking but employs a much higher level of concetration and chakra. Of course I do not expect you to master it all at one time. For now let's try it with just your left hand.
*As Kaishi's dad stopped talking, the water suddenly poured over him.*
Dad : (My chakra pool is nowhere near your limit son, the Sunaton will suit you well.)
*Kaishi's dad walked under the oak where he was previously standing and leaned up against the trunk. Kaishi, taking this as a sign for him to begin, relaxed his whole body and closed his eyes. Opening his eyes, Kaishi felt a surge of chakra shoot into his left arm, scattering the raindrops around his left arm. He smiled and looked at his father.*
Dad : Good job son, seems like this task was a bit easy for you. Let's try this.... Make the rain go around your right arm and your left leg.
*Kaishi listened to his father and relaxed his body again. Looking straight toward the horizon, Kaishi imagine his chakra flowing into his right arm and left leg. Suddenly he felt a light breeze and the rain drops curved around his right arm and left leg, making the other parts of his body even wetter now. Again, Kaishi smiled, but this time without even looking at his father, he let the rain cover his whole body again as he relaxed one more time. Many hours had passed by. It was hard to tell what time of day it was becuase the clouds didn't seem to move in the sky , and the rain kept pouring since noon, but Kaishi didn't care about time, all that was on his mind was training. Concentrating one more time Kaishi felt a whif of air go through him and this time, he managed to make the rain evade his entire body*
Kaishi : I finally got it, and I found a much easier way of using it than you explained to me. *Kaishi explaimed proudly.*
Dad : Oh yea, and what would that be??
Kaishi : I figured since this was exercise was about sending chakra to every part of your body, it seemed very similar to Shunshin, but instead of chakra boosts, I have to keep the chakra flow steady. * Kaishi's breathing became heavy now and his body felt like it weighed a ton. Hours of practicing chakra control was exhausting enough, but keeping the flow steady to every part of the body proved to be even more exhausting.*
Dad : HAHAH it seems to me, like you made up and even HARDER way to complete the exercise... but I guess anything goes as long as you learn huh?? Speaking of exercises, I have one more task for you to complete. But before that, eat this... *He threw three chakra pills to Kaishi, who caught and ate them* Now, your final task for this training is : You must tree walk up to the top of one of the Oaks and use the chakra control we used today to make the raindrops go around your body. I will go into the house for a minute and when I come back, I want to see you up on one of the Oaks, got it??
*As soon as Kaishi's dad finished talking, Kaishi bolted up one of the nearby Oaks and stopped at the top*
SFX : KREEEEK *Sound of bark breaking under Kaishi's feet*
*Kaishi's dad went into the house, but Kaishi didn't care about that. He concentrated on his chakra flow and the rain drops began to go around his body. Suddenly one of Kaishi's feet slipped and the rain poured down on him*
Kaishi : (SHIT !!!)
*Instanteniously, Kaishi placed the foot that slipped on the trunk and the bark under it, broke and flew apart. A look of relief filled his face and he closed his eyes for a moment. Concentrating again, the rain drops began to go around his body one more time, this time his feet didn't slip and the rain was going around him. Kaishi opened his eyes, looked up the cloudy sky, and smiled. As Kaishi stood on the side of the tree trunk, rain going around him , his father was watching him trhough one of the house windows.*
Dad : I'm proud of you son, you will defenitely surpass me. You are finally ready to learn the secrets of the Suanaton Bloodline. *Kaishi's dad stepped away from the window, and went into his room*

_*Two days had passed since Kaishi's last training. His father had given him a break to recover and recuperate from all the chakra control training he underwent. After all, even with a chakra pool as large as Kaishi's, there still are limits to how long one can go on until he collapses from his chakra being absent. During the time Kaishi was recovering, all he could think about was his training. He wanted to get stronger in time for the Tournament and resting only slowed him down, but if he would have gone five more minutes without rest, his body would give way and there's no telling of what might have happened to him. Kaishi was sitting outside his house, his eyes half open, leaning up against one of the Oaks growing hearby. The weather could'nt have been better. The sunlight crammed through the gaps between the leafes and softly hit Kaishi's body in different places. A woodpecker, on a nearby tree, munched on some worms he had dug out of the tree trunk. There was no breeze today, the grass on the ground and the leafes on the trees were as still as a statue. He heard footsteps right next to him and the next thing he saw, was a large clay gourd dropped in front of him.*
Dad : It is time Kaishi. Time to learn your true powers.
Kaishi : Finally, I was waiting for the past two days to resume training! *Kaishi exclaimed as the swiftly jumped to his feet starring at the Gourd next to him*
Dad : Now, before we get into any training, I am going to tell you about the Sunaton Bloodline.
*Kaishi stood there silently, as his father explained to him what the Bloodline was all about*
Sunaton means Sand. The bloodline orginally formed as a genetic mutation as a founder of the earth based clans and a powerful wind based married and produced an offspring.
Few men were seen to use the sand as a weapon, the third kazekage, and the actual on, the fifth, Garaa, were the strongest sand users in history. Rare are sunaton users in the world of shinobis, but feared are those who possess it.
There are no specific families possessing the bloodline. People possessing wind or earth based chakra sometime find an affinity with sand, and reveal the bloodline. Altough there are no families, there are two branches to the use of sand, two advanced bloodline based on either wind or earth based chakra.
Usually, sand users carry their own chakra infused sand in bags, gourd, or any type of container. Using outer sand takes double than usual chakra.
Kaishi : So lets get to it then... how do I use this *Kaishi picks up the Gourd*
Dad : Ahhh now wait a minute *He takes the Gourd from Kaishi and places it back down* The Sunaton Bloodline is something very difficult to master. But we will get to that later, the most important thing right now is making that sand "your own"
*Kaishi looked at his father with a blank stare in his face.*
Dad : What I am trying to say is that you have to infuse the sand inside the Gourd with you chakra before you can use it to your will.
Kaishi : And how do I do that??
Dad : Well this is what I am going to teach you today. *Kaishi's father reached his hand into the Gourd* Give me your hand Kaishi *As Kaishi opened his plam, his dad placed the sand in Kaishi's palm, some of it flowing through the sips between his young fingers.* Now, all you have to do is channel some chakra into you plam and it will transfer into the sand.
*Kaishi didn't beleive how easy this task was. All he had to do was channel some chakra, it seemed as easy as tree walking. Kaishi quickly imagined his chakra flow and suddenly, to his amazement, all the sand in his hand just flew away, as though being swept away by wind. Kaishi looked at his father, who just smiled in return, reached into the Gourd and placed some more sand into Kaishi's palm. Kaishi concentrated quickly and again the sand just blew right out of his plam. After numerous tries, Kaishi had tried everything he could think of, but the sand still just blew away from his hand. It was past noon now, Kaishi sat on the grass, frustrated look on his face and a bunch of sand laying around him on the ground. His father still stood in front of him, not moving even a bit. Kaishi looked up at his father*
Kaishi : What am I doing wrong ?? Im doing exactly what you are telling me to....
Dad : I thought this exercise would be too hard for you. The key to infusing your chakra into sand is concetration, endurance and chakra control. The chakra being released out of you is still too wild. Finness is one of the most important things in sand manipulation.
*Kaishi was now exhausted from spending the whole day trying to infuse chakra into the sand. Once again he was almost out of chakra, even for his large chakra pool, but he was determined to finish the task before the sun set. Kaishi gathered his thoughts, mustered up the last bits of chakra within him and picked up some sand from the ground around into his palm. He was still sitting on the ground as the sun began to set behind the horizon. He closed his eyes and imagined holding a feather in his hand. His fingers instanteniously lossened and some of the sand sipped through. He opened his eyes and suddenly felt a whif of air coming from his palm, blowing some of the sand away.*
Kaishi : (Concentrate!!!)
*He quickly closed his eyes again and the whif of air went away. He slowly opened them back up and looked at the sand in his hand. Half of what he picked up had already been blown away, but the other half, was gently suspended right above his palm !! Kaishi's smile was as big as ever, he looked at his father and then back at his hand.*
Dad : Good job my son, it looks like you finally got the hang of it. Now, place your hands on the Gourd and infuse it with you chakra, just remember to be gentle.
*Kaishi nodded, stood up and walked over to the Gourd laying on the ground next to his dad and placed his hands on it's sides. Closing his eyes one more time, Kaishi concentrated with all his mind, onto this one Gourd, onto every spec of sand it was composed of. He felt a light whif in both of his hands and opened his eyes. Nothing had happened, the Gourd just lay there like it lay.*
Kaishi : Nothing happened !!! It didn't get blown away or broken by my chakra, did I do it dad??
Dad : See for yourself, reach inside and try to make the sand move up your arm.
*Kaishi reached his hand inside the Gourd. At first there was just sand around it, but suddenly, Kaishi began to feel little specs rise around his arm. Little by little, more and more specs began to rise and in minutes, the part of his hand that was inside the Gourd was covered in sand!! As his his chakra almost ran out, all the sand crumbled back into the bottom of the Gourd from Kaishi's arm. Kaishi took his arm out, stumbled and fell on his back, the sky above him began to twist and Kaishi blacked out.*

This is approved, BUT!! Do not EVER train while you are in a fight. You cannot be in two places at the same time. Ever.
So, this will only take effect after your fight with oi is done.

*Kaishi opened his eyes and soft light of the moon hit his pupils. It was a bit chilly now, and a light breeze swept accross the grass surrounding Kaishi. He turned his head to the side and saw the clay gourd laying next to him.*
Kaishi : Did I faint again?? I really have to stop doing that.
*As Kaishi said that, he slowly gut up to his feet and rubbed the back of his head with his hand. He picked up the gourd from the ground and fastened it onto his back. Looking around for his father, Kaishi slowly began to go toward the house. As he was about to enter the open the door, the doors swung open and his father emerged with a Katan in his hand*
Dad : Finally you are awake, now we continue the training. Here take this *He extended the katan in his hands and gave it to Kaishi.* This used to be my katan during my Shinobi days, and now you will learn to wield it.
*As Kaishi took the katana from his father's hands, his dad reached behind his back and dangled two 5lb weights in front of Kaishi's face*
Dad : Here, put these on
*Kaishi took the wieghts without even questioning his father and attached them around his ankles. Kaishi and his dad made their way to the back of the house once more. Kaishi's dad instructed him to stay by one of the oaks as the dad made a large circle in front of Kaishi, lighting some candles and placing them a short distance from one another, illuminating the whole area.*
Dad : Now, your first exercise is very simple, you must run up to each candle, pull out your katana from its sheath, swing it above the candle at a 180 degree angle and place the katan back into the sheath.
*As Kaishi's father stepped out of the circel, he noded his head as a sign for Kaishi to start. Kaishi attached the katana to his lower back, tying the ribbons coming out of the sheath around his waist securely. Kaishi took in a deep breath and bolted toward the first candle. The weights took instant effect as Kaishi felt his speed being slowed down a little bit, but ignoring the slight nuisance he reached back for his katana with his right hand and pulled it out. The weights on his ankles made his speed slow down an instant , but Kaishi flexed his muslces more and swung the katana, a little lobsided, above the candle. He then struggled to put it back in his sheath, but after a few tries succeeded and followed on to the next candle. An hour had already passed and Kaishi finally made his way around the whole circle. His hands and legs were getting tight now, as the weights caused him to use his legs and hands more vigurously. He was breating heavy from just completing one circle, but one hour of non stop running and swinging his katana was not as easy as it sounded. Kaishi's father walked up to him and handed him a glass of water and a piece of bread. Kaishi ate the bread and drank the water in an instant and closed his eyes for a second. As he opened his eyes, he bolted for the first candle again. The moon was now in the middle of the sky, and the candles had almost gone out. The cirlce where kaishi had been training now looked like some animal barn. The melted wax formed an outline or a mixture of wax and grass around the circle and the grass inside it was all stomped up and torn out by Kaishi's vigurous running. Kaishi stood in the middle of the circle, panting heavily, his katana in his right hand. He took in a deep breath one more time and launched toward one of the candles, pulling out his katana as he ran and swinging it a perfect 180 degrees above the flickering flame. He then continued to every candel outlining the cirlce, each swing a perfect and elegant maneuver as he took out his katana and put it back in the sheath in a graceful manner.*
Dad : Good, you are quickly getting the hang of this, now it's time for some hands on training.

The stars in the sky flickered like bright christmas light. Kaishi stood in his training circle, katan in his hand, staring straight at his father. Kaishi's father reached behind his back and pulled out three kunai in his right hand. Quickly flinging one of the kunai at his son, Kaishi swung the katana at a 180 degree angle and knocked down the kunai. He smiled and got ready for another attack. His dad flung the other two kunai at him. This time, Kaishi gathered some chakra into his feet.*
SFX : WHOOOSH
*Kaishi dissapeared from the path of the kunai and appeared next to his father, swinging the katana straight at his ribs !!!! Suddenly, a giant wall of sand appeared between Kaishi and his dad and Kaishi stumbled back, falling on his back.*
Dad : We can do it that way if you want...
*He smiled, and in an instatn flung three kunai at Kaishi, who was still on his back. Kaishi rolled to his side, away from two of the kunai as the third was about to strike him. Not having enough time to raise his Katana, Kaishi concentrated some chakra into the part of his body where the kunai was headed and as the Kunai was about to strike, Kaishi released the chakra and the kunai was knocked down. Kaishi's move was not fast enough though, as the kunai slashed Kaishi's leg. Kaishi squinted a bit and got up to his feet.*
Kaishi : What was that wall just now???
Dad : That was Hei Suna No Jutsu, or Sand Wall... it is one of the Sunaton Bloodline jutsus which enables you to raise up a sand of wall and protect yourself from attacks. Do not worry though, you will learn those jutsus soon enough. But for now, don't let your guard down.
*Kaishi's father formed a quick seal and four sand shuriken found themselves flying head on toward Kaishi!!! Kaishi quickly spun to the side and swinging his katana at a 50 degree angle slashed one of the shuriken down, then, instatnly, he flickered and found himself in the air dodging the three other shuriken. Jumping in the air was a bad move, as Kaishi's dad saw the advantage and formed some seals.*
Dad : (Suna Hebi No Jutsu ! )
*A large amount of sand gathered around his hand and a sand snake shot out at Kaishi, who was still in the air. Kaishi braced for impact as the snake raced toward him. Lifting up his katana over his hand, Kaishi flexed his muslces as much as he could and slahed down at the snake. The blade cut down the middle of the sand monster and the snake split in half, going around Kaishi's sides. Kaishi landed on the ground, panting heavily. His father smiled and walked up to him, placing his hand on Kaishi's head*
Dad : Good job my son, I see my katana is a suitable weapon for you (Even though I didn't put a lot of chakra into my sand snake, I am proud that you decided to take it head on and not run away )

*Kaishi and his father sat under the moonlight. Kaishi took the gourd off his back and removed the katana from his waist, placing them on the ground next to him. The weights were still attached around his ankles, but he had almost gotten used to them by now. The candles had gone out a while ago, and the moon was ready to dissapear from the sky and let the sun take over. Kaishi was staring up at the sky and thinking about the Jutsus his father had used against him. That giant wall of sand, those sand shuriken and the sand snake.*
Kaishi : (Those jutsu seemed pretty powerful....) You didn't go all out did you dad?? *Kaishi asked his dad as he continued staring at the dissapearing stars, the sunlight was now appearing at the horizon*
Dad : It doesn't matter, what matters is that you are getting the hang of things very quickly and I think you are now ready to learn the Sunaton Jutsus.
*Kaishi's dad reached into his pocket, pulled out a scroll and handed it to Kaishi. Kaishi opened the scroll and read it*
Sand Wall (Hei Suna No Jutsu):
Description: Rise a wall of hard sand to protect the user from projectiles or direct attacks. The more chakra is given in the wall, the harder it is
*Kaishi finished reading the scroll and put it on the ground next to him. He then stood up, picked up his katana, tying it to his waist, and picked up the clay gourd, straping it on his back. He was ready.*
Dad : You have already seen me do this jutsu when you tried to attack me with you katana. That was giant sand wall that knocked you back was this exact jutsu. I did not put a lot of chakra into the wall, otherwise you sword might have broken. You see.. the hardness of the wall depends on how much chakra you put channel into it. The way you put in more chakra into the wall is very simple. When you are performing the seals required for the Jutsu, you channel as much chakra as you want into you palms as the seals are made, thus hardening your wall. Now let's practice.
*Kaishi's dad stoop up from the ground and faced his son.*
Dad : Ok, I am going to show you the seal only once, so pay close attention.
*Kaishi' dad slammed his plams together and a busrt of wind suddenly appeared around him and almost knocked Kaishi down to his feet. Then, Kaishi's dad formed a seal with his hands . Suddenly a wall of sand appeared between Kaishi and his dad, towering over 20 feet tall and 18 feet wide. Kaishi just stared in amazement at the sand structure.*
Dad : Just to let you get a feel for this jutsu, try and punch through it.
*Kaishi gathered his strenght and launched a punch straight at the sand wall.*
SFX : BOOOOOM
*Kaishi's fist hit the wall in a violent thump, but the wall didin't budge at all. Kaishi fist though, now had scratch marks all over it and his knuckles let out a bit of blood. He didn't scream out in pain, or fall on his knees, he just jumped back, slammed his hands together and began concentrating as much chakra into his hands as he could. Sand began flowing out rapidly out the gourd on his back. A powerful wind blew some of the leaves off the nearby trees, as the sun was now fully visible in the blue sky. Kaishi formed a seal with his hands, the same one his father had done. A wall rose in front of Kaishi, knocking straight into the wall his dad had made. Kaishi's wall was considerably smaller, only about 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. As Kaishi's wall slammed into his father's, cracks began to appear on his dad's wall. Kaishi's dad smiled and released his jutsu, and his wall crumbled and the sand fell gently on the ground around them.*
Dad : Good job son, that was pretty good for a first try, but as you can see, my wall is much bigger and stronger than yours. You have a long way to go. Now let's try again.
*Kaishi released his jutsu and the sand fell around him. He smiled at his dad, but suddenly began breathing heavily as his heart rate went up.*
Kaishi : ( What's going on? )
Dad : Looks like this jutsu took quite a lot out of you... Let's take a little break now and get some food.
*Kaishi's dad went into the house to get some food as Kaishi sat down on the grass. He picked up some of the sand around him in his palm and held it up. The sand slowly began to rise above his palm, only about an inch or two. As soon as his dad came out with some sandwiches and two bottles of water in his hands, Kaishi closed his palm and the sand fell back on the ground. It was past noon now as Kaishi and his dad sat under one of the Oaks finishing up their lunch. There was not much to talk about, as Kaishi's dad seemed to be in deep though about something else and Kaishi himslef was thinking about Hei Suna. When they were done eating, Kaishi palced the trash in a plastic bag and put in by the Oak they were sitting under.*
Dad : Ahhh that was a good lunch ey?
*Kaishi nodded in agreement*
Dad : Well , time to get back to your training. I want you to use the wall to deflect my sand weapons. Ready?? (Suna Heiki No Jutsu !!)
*As soon as Kaishi's dad said that, he formed a seal and the sand aournd him turned into numerous shuriken and kunai. With a move of his hand, the sand weapons were sent flying at tremendous speed at Kaishi. Kaishi quickly slammed his palms together and formed a seal.*
Kaishi : Hei Suna No Jutsu !!!
*A giant wall of sand rose in front of Kaishi. The seal was not quick enough though and some of the sand shuriken and kunai slipped through and slashed Kaishi in numerous places. As the wall went up, the rest of the sand weapons slammed into the wall and dropped to the ground.*
Dad : Good relfexes, but this time I am not going to go easy on you !!
*Kaishi's dad formed another two seals and sand began to form around his arm. Kaishi knew that his dad was about to use the Suna Hebi Jutsu. He slammed his palms toghether and imagined all of his chakra going going into his palms. He formed the seal and as the sand snake shot out from his dad's arm the sand wall went up.*
SFX : BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
*The Snake hit the Sand wall head on. A cloud of dust rose above Kaishi and his dad. As the smoke cleared, sunlight peered through, illuminating pathces of grass. When the sun was visible again, Kaishi's wall appeared standing and the sand snake gone. Suddenly, the wall began to crumble and collapsed as Kaishi fell to his knees. The wounds he had gotten from his dad's sand weapons were not fatal or deep, but blood dripped out of them and onto the ground.*
Dad : Looks like you put almost all of your chakra into that last one, seeing as you stopped my sand snake at full power. But it also seems like you have a limit for how many times you can use the sand wall. From today's trainig, it seems like you can do it only three times. I would not recommend doing it more than that, because it just might prove to be fatal.
*The day was almost over now, and the sun was beginning to hide its circular shape behind the horizon. Kaishi lay on the ground, face down, listening to his father's words.*
Kaishi : (SHIT, only three times !!! I can't be this weak, I HAVE to get stronge !! )
*The sun set behind the horizon and the first star appeared in the sky as Kaishi's dad carried Kaishi into the house. Kaishi, barely opening his eyes looked up at the single star in the heavens.*
Kaishi : I want to be stronger *He whispered*
Dad : (And you will be ) *Kishi's dad smiled and thought about his wife as he walked into the house*

*Kaishi slowly opened his eyes as the rays of sun escaped through his window and gently played on his face as tiny coulds blocked the rays now and then. Kaishi's mind deep in thought. Although he was very excited about his win in the Preliminary match, he couldn't get his mind of that girl : Anryoku Kagiriani. Her beautiful figure still flcikered in his mind, he silver hair slowly gliding around as she prepared to attack. Even though she might have killed him, Kaishi did not hate her, in fact, he wanted to know more about her, but she just dissapeared after the fight and he had no luck finding her.*
Dad : Wake up son, I glad you won your fight, but the next match is coming up soon. We have little time for you to lay around and day dream *Kaishi's father said as he opened the door to Kaishi's room carrying a scroll in his rand hand and some iron rings in his left.*
Kaishi : I'm up, I'm up. *Kaishi mumbled as Anryoku's figure slipped out of his mind and his fahter's voice filled his head.* What's in the scroll ? *Kaishi asked as he began dressing*
Dad : You will see when we step outside, now hurry it up !
*Kaishi's dad walked out of the room as Kaishi tied his wakisashi around his waist, put his clay gourd over his back and followed his dad outside. The day could not be more beautiful. It was around ten o'clock in the morning. The leaves did not rustle today, and the grass did not sway. Everything seemed still, as though frozen in time. The only sign of movement was the tiny skies floating randomly in the sky above, as the sun cast it's light onto everything on the ground. Kaishi and his dad were going to train inside the forest today seeing as the conditions could not have been any more perfect. Both of them walked between the giant trunks of the Oaks, occasionally stepping on some broken twigs on the ground and the sound of wood braking echoed in the frozen forest. After a few minutes of walking, Kaishi and his dad found temselves in an open area, sort of like a small field, surrounded by Oaks towering into the sky.*
Dad : We will train here *Kaishi dad announced, as the took out the scroll and handed it to Kaishi along with the iron rings* Put the rings on you wrists, they will help you built up your Taijutsu speed and your seal making speed.
*Kaishi excitedly put on the rings, and began opening the scroll. The ring's effect was evident, as Kaishis hads felt a little bit slow as the opened the scroll.*
Sand Armor (Suna Yoroi No Jutsu):
Requirements: TBA
Description: The user covers his body with hard sand, providing a strong protection to direct attacks and projectiles. This technique only applies for a specific part of the body
.
Kaishi : I don't get it, how does this exactly work?? *Kaishi said as the rolled up the scroll and put it in his pocket.*
Dad : I am going to show you a little demonstration to show you. *Kaishi's dad slmmed his palms together and formed some seals* Suna Yoroi no Jutsu !!
*As the seals were formed, sand began crawling up Kaishi's dad's right arm and wrapping itself around it. As the sand crawled up the hand, it seemed to attach itself to the hand, as the hand looked as normal as ever and no sand was visible on it.*
Dad : Okay, now attack my right arm !!
Kaishi : What do you mean attack, Im not going to hurt you !!
Dad : Just do it... NOW !!
*Kaishi jerked a bit as his father's voice echoed between the trees. He reached into his kunai holster and pulled out one kunai. He began racing at his dad, and threw the kunai at his dad's right arm. The kunai sliced through the air, flying a bit slowly because of the rings on Kaishi's hands. To Kaishi's amazement, his dad did not move and the kunai pierced into his arm.*
Kaishi : Dad !!
*Kaishi screamed out as he ran toward his father. Suddenly, the kunai edged itself out of his dad's arm and fell on the groun next to him, with no signs of blood on it. Kaishi stopped in his tracks and looked at his dad's right arm. A thin layer of sand became visible around the area Kaishi's kunai hit and tiny sand veins were visible coming out from it. The sand quickly filled the tiny hole and his dad's hand looked normal again.*
Dad : When I tell you to do something, don't ask questions, just do it. *Kaishi's dad released the seal and the sand from around his arm fell onto the ground.* Well, now that you've seen how it works, it's your turn to try it. Just remember that you have to keep your chakra flow constant to the part of the body the sand is attached to.
*Kaishi's father picked up the kunai that Kaishi threw at him and tossed it back to Kaishi. Putting it in his holster, Kaishi closed his eyes and spread his legs to shoulder lenght level. Sand began flowing out of his Clay gourd and placed itslef around his feet. Slamming his palms together he formed the seals. (Suna Yoroi no Jutsu !) His eyes opened and the sand around him began to climb up around his left hand. Kaishi smiled as the sand was hovering up. Suddenly the sand stopped and cumbled back to the ground. A look of confusion struck Kaishi's face as the sand fell.*
Dad : I told you, this Jutsu requires a lot of concetration to execute, even a small thing such as smiling disrupted your concentration and the sand fell. Again
*Kaishi listened to his dad's advice and closed his eyes again, slamming his palms together. The sand around him began to hover again. (Suna Yoroi no Jutsu ) The sand began to rise and make it's way to Kaishi's left arm again. This time. The weight of the rings made Kaishi's hands a bit sore now. The sand touched Kaishi's left hand fingers and began crawling up his hand*
Kaishi : Ahhhh *Kaishi screamed as he swung his left hand away from his body*
Dad : What is it now?
Kaishi : No, no it's nothing. *Kaishi just got startled by the feel of the sand crawling up his arm. It felt weird*
*It was noon now. The sun sat silently in the middle of the sky and watched the scence going on below it. Kaishi stood in a circle of sand around him. Sweat dripped down his face and body and his hands felt really heavy now because of the iron rings. Kaishi had been repeating the same jutsu for a while now, but with no results.*
Kaishi : Can we take a break please??
Dad : You will take a break, when that sand is around your arm and I test it out. *He tossed a bottle of water to Kaishi* Drink this bottle and resume your training.
*Kaishi quickly emptied the whole bottle and dropped it next to him. He was determined to get this jutsu right. Slamming his palms together, a whif of air shot out of them, as his chakra began concentrating in his palms. (Suna Yoroi No Jutsu !! ) Sand began going up to his left arm again. A bird flew nearby and the tiny clouds in the sky cast tiny shadows onto the field Kaishi and his dad were on. The sand began to move slower up and Kaishi felt it. He closed his eyes and tried to empty his mind.*
Kaishi : (Concentrate !!! It's only the sand and you, nothing else is important !! ONLY THE SAND !!! )
*As he tried to exile every little bit of sound and though from his mind, the sand began to move quicker up to his left arm. As it touched his fingers, Kaishi budged a little bit but quickly regained his composure as the sand proceeded up his arm. Kaishi's dad smiled faintly as his son's progress was begining to show. The sand had made its way up, past Kaishi's elbow and was now at his shoulder.*
Kaishi : (Ok, what now ?? )
*As he thought that, his concentration was broken and the sand fell off his hand, some of getting on his shirt and pants.*
Kaishi : Shit !!! I am never going to get this !! *He stumbled and fell backwards a bit as the screamed*
Dad : Don't worry son, you managed to get the sand around your arm and that is already good progress. Maybe it is my fault you are not getting this, I forgot to mention that when the sand is around your given part of the body, chakra mus be exerted from that part so that the sand will become attracted to you. Or maybe I did say that and you are not as talented as I though ??
*Kaishi's dad smiled in his mind. He knew that his son was not going to take hearing that and it will motivate him to do better. As Kaishi heard those words, he began to get angry, a flame began burning in his eyes and his heart rate increased. He sprang up to his feet and slammed his palms together, this time keeping his eyes right on his father. (Suna Yoroi no Jutsu ) The sand suddenly shot up and began climbing up Kaishi's left arm. Even Kaishi was surprised at the speed the sand shot up. But this was not time to think, it was time to act. As the sand formed itslef around Kaishi's arm, he began flowing chakra extra into his left arm. The sand began to come closer to his arm and placed itself right on it. His arm, that was covered in sand, now began to look normal again as the last pathces of sand dissapeared as the layer of sand was complete.*
Kaishi : THERE I DID IT !!!!
*Kaishi screamed as he pulled out a kunai from his holster and stabbed his left arm with all his strenght !!! The point where Kaishi stabbed himself now had visible sand around it with veins of sand spreading over all of his arm. Kaishi pulled out the kunai from his hand to find that his sand armor had indeed stopped the stab. Kaishi smiled as he looked at his dad.*
Dad : Even though that was a very risky and stupid way to test out your skills, I am proud of you son. You deserve a rest. We will go eat and resume our training at sunset.
*Kaishi concentrated a bit and the sand around him and his arm slipped back into his gourd. As he walked at his father's side, his legs almost gave way as his chakra level was low because of the intense training. But his father caught him and one arm around his dad's shoulde, Kaishi and his dad dissapeared in between the trunks of the Oaks.*
*As the tiny clouds danced in the sky, the sun peekd out from behind one of them and shone it's light onto the field where Kaishi had trained. A singel kunai lay on the ground, shining brightly from the light hitting it, a drop of blood coloring its tip.*

*Kaishi and his dad sat on the grass outside their house, leaning up against one of the house walls. A small blanket was spread in front of them, topped with sandwiches, water, and fruits. Most of the sandwiches and fruits were eaten already and all of the water was drank. Kaishi's training in the forest during the day was draining, and the food defenitely helped him regain some energy. His father told him that they will resume training after sunset, so Kaishi didn't waist any time he had to rest. Before he ate, he took a small nap, which helped im relax and regain his thoughts, and the food provided much needed energy. He would need it for the long night ahead. Finshing his last piece of apple, Kaishi's dad got up from the side of the wall and rolled up the blanket and tied the four ends in one knot.*
Dad : I will go throw this away and we will continue our training.
*Kaishi's dad picked up the tied up blanket and walked into the house. The sun set behind the horizon now and a light chill came out with the young night. The sky at the horizon still glowed a brilliant red, as the last rays of the sun hid deeper and deeper behind it. Kaishi got up from the wall and streched his hands and legs. The weights on his hands were almost unnoticable to him now, as he got used to them as the day progressed. After a few minutes of waiting, Kaishi's father walked out of the house with a rice bag under his hand and two 5lb weights in the other.*
Dad : You have been training your jutsus for while now. Tonight, we will do some hands on training.
*Kaishi was excited at the sight of the rice bag, he knew perfectly well what that meant. He is going to practice his Taijutsu tonight !! He ran up to his father and took the 5lb weights from him and attached it to his ankles. As Kaishi was putting on the weights, his dad walked over to one of the trees with low branches and attached the 50 lb rice bag to it. Kaishi quickly ran over to his father, he weights on his legs felt natrual to him, seeing as he already trained with them AND lasted a full battle without taking them off.*
Dad : Ok, we will practice your kicks and punches with this. *He put his hand on the rice bag* I have some business to atend to, so I want you to do 500 punches with each hand, and 500 kicks with each leg. Got it??
*Kaishi nodded as his father began to walk into the forest and the darkenss consumed him as the dissapeared. The only light in the area was the moon, as it cast a soft glow onto Kaishi and the rice bag. Kaishi came closer to the bag and excitedly looked at his.*
Kaishi : Let's do this !
*Kaishi launched a punch with his right hand, landing it on the left side of the bag. The first punch seemed very odd, as the weights on his wrists slowed his punch down a bit. To keep up to speed Kaishi knew he had to flex his muscles more, and counter the weight of the rings. He punched the bag again with his left hand, this time much quicker. The moon shone in the sky and the stars flickered in the darkness above. Thirty minutes had past now, and Kaishi was getting done with his right hand.*
Kaishi : 495. . .496 . . . 497. . . 498. . . *His hand was already cramping up, but Kaishi was determined to finish the exercise, even if it caused him pain* COME ON !!!....499. . . 500 !!!!!!!
*Kaishi's hand dropped on his side as the hit the 500th punch. The rice bag, was unaltered in any way, even though it took quite a beating, but Kaishi's hand was bloody at the knuckles, blood dripping down his arm and coloring his iron rings. There was no time to rest though, the exercise was not done. Shaking off his right hand, Kaishi began launching punches with his left hand. After another 30 minutes Kaishi was almost done*
Kaishi : 495. . . 496. . .497. . .498. . .499. . .500 !!!
*Kaishi smiled through the pain and sweat, as his left hand dropped at his side. Blood drriped from it and on the ground below. In fact, both of Kaishi's hands were bloody now, colored a dark red in the moonlight being cast on him.*
Kaishi : Done with the hands, now for some kicks....
*Kaishi spread his legs shoulder lenght level and launched a kick at the side of the bag. The weights on his ankles didnt seem that heavy now, seeing as his kicks seemed to be faster than his punches. The moon was still hovering in the sky as Kaishi was pounding away at the bag. An occasional owl hoooed inside the forest and then it went back to silence again, only the sound of Kaishis goraning and his foot contacting the bag was constant. About 15 had passed and Kaishi was nearing 500 kicks...*
Kaishi : This is easire on my feet, I will do 1000 kicks then !!!
*Kaishi passed 500 kicks and continued with his training. He wanted to max out on endurance, so that he would have no problem handling mere Genin in the tournament. As his kicks were nearing 700 , they were almost automatic now, and Kaishi's mind began to wonder off. The images in his mind were not solid though. Silver hair flowed in the wind, just for an instant, followed by a flashback of Kaishi's battle with Anryoku. Her figure moved gracefully as she dodged Kaishis slash at her belly. Of course, he was not going to kill her, he couldn't have. Even in this cruel shinobi world, Kaishi found it hard to hit a girl, in fact, he never had before. As his mind was off wondering in the depths of his unconcsiousness, an owl hoooed in the forest and Kaishi quickly snapped back to reality. 40 minutes had almost passed now and Kaishi was nearing 1000 kicks.*
Kaishi : 997. . . 998. . .999 . . .1000 !!! I wonder what happened to that girl I fought ?
*Kaishi began to think as he lowered his foot on the ground and felt a light cramp beggining to form in his calf. He quickly streched it off and continued with the exercise. He couldn't have any distractions right now, and the thought of Anryoku was one of those distractions. He began to kick the bag with his other foot. Just like the left foot, his right foot moved quite fast, even witht the weights on. This time Kaishi's mind did not wonder off , but kept focused and concentrated on the kicks. 40 minutes later, Kaishi was nearing 1000 kicks and increased his speed.*
Kaishi : 997. . .998. . .999 . . .1000 !!!
*Kaishi sat on the ground, extended his legs and reached for his toes, streching his leg muscles. His whole body was sweating and trembling from exhaustion by now. His hands were almost completely covered in a mixture of wet and dry blood, but Kaishi didn't care much. He removed his boots to let his feet rest a bit and found a thin crust of dry blood covering his feet. He closed his eyes, layed down on his back and let the surrounding silence fill his mind.*

*Light filled Kaishi's room as the curtains on his wondows rocked gently in the morning breeze. Kaishi turned over on one side and opened his eyes, looking at his clothes and weights laying next to him on the floor, squeaky clean. He quickly jumped out of bed at that site and picked up his clothes, putting them on and smelling each article. With his clothes now on, Kaishi proceeded to attach the weights to his ankles and wrists, tying his wakisashi around his waist and placing his gourd over his back. Looking clean and refreshed, Kaishi stepped outside just to have himself greeted by his dad holding a scroll in his hand. His dad held it up to Kaishi's face and smiled*
Dad : I have something special for you today
Kaishi : Another Sunaton Jutsu ?!?!
*Kaishi was really excited at the sight of the scroll. He really began to like the Sunaton Bloodline and was hoping it would be a powerful sand Jutsu. The swiftly took the scroll out of his dad's hand and opened it.*
Sly Mind Affect Technique
Name: Kori Shinchu no Jutsu
Type: C Rank, Genjutsu, Supplementary Mid-Long Range
Element: None
This jutsu causes the enemy to walk around in circles while thinking they are walking towards their destination.
*As Kaishi finised reading the scroll and rolled it up, placing it in his pocket, he looked at his dad, raising his eyebrows with a confused look on his face.*
Kaishi : B..b...but dad, I'm not very good at genjtsu, I never even tried it before.
Dad : You never know until you try. You probably thought I was going to teach you another Sunaton jutsu, I see how much you enjoy them, but genjutsus can come in handy in a tight spot. If you'd like I can show you.
Kaishi : Sure, go ahead
*Kaishi did not mean what he said, he beleived that genjutsu is the weakest jutsu there is and did not want to waste time learning something that would not be useful to him, despite his father's words. As Kaishi told his father to proceed, his dad slammed his plams together and formed some seals.*
Dad : Suna Shingai !!!
*As soon as Kaishi heard the word "Suna" he realized a Sunaton Jutsu was about to come at him and he prepared for a counter. Suddenly, sand began flying out of nowhere and spread accross the whole area around Kaishi's house. The sand began blowing faster and harder, blocking out the sun from view. As the sun dissapeared from the now brown sky, Kaishi's father, who right next to him, began to dissapear behind the sand and only a faint outline was barely visible. A wave of panic and fear hit Kaishi as he began to walk toward where his father was.*
Kaishi : DAD !!!
*Kaishi screamed out as he walked in what seemed to be an endless sand storm. His panic was increasing now, and he began running around as the sand storm began getting even stronger, imparing his vision to almost complete blindness. Suddenly, Kaishi let out an ear splitting scream as the sand strom did not seize.*
Kaishi : AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
*As fear and confusion spread to Kaishi's body and mind, he began trembling as he stopped in one place and stood there. Suddenly, the storm seized and the sky was blue again. The gentle rays of the sun stroked Kaishi's head, as a light breeze played with his tron pants, blowing them from side to side. Kaishi's panic and fear ceased almost instantaniously, as the sand storm faded. His body stopped trembling, and he found himself to be standing in the same spot he had been before, with his father standing right in front of him.*
Kaishi : What the hell was that!!!???
Dad : That was a genjutsu Kaishi. Something you seem pretty hesitant to learn, but yet, it seems to have had quite an effect on you. The jutsu you are going to learn is a bit different from this one, but follows the same techniques. *Kaishi stood basked in the sunlight, listening to his dad* Genjutsus work almost all the time, they are much more effective though, if you make eye contact with the person. I am now going to show you the seals for the genjutsu you are going to learn. Are you ready??
Kaishi : Yes
*Kaishi responded as he braced himself for another terrifying mirage. His father felt the tremble of his son's body. He knew that the Shunagi was a strong genjutsu, but there is not other way to train genjutsu, the user must feel the effects of the genjutsu before he can master it himself. Slamming his plams together, Kaishi's dad formed some seals and Kaishi watched them closely.*
Dad : Kori Shinchu No Jutsu !
*As the seals were formed, nothing terrifying happend. Kaishi was standing where he was, his father standing in front of him. He could not tell if the genjutsu was cast or not as he took a step towards his father. But something weird happened when Kaishi took that step, his father was still standing at the same distance he was before. Kaishi, confused a bit, took another step, but the same thing happened, his father was no closer than before. Kaishi took another step toward his dad, then another, and soon he began running his way. As Kaishi was trapped in the genjutsu, thinking that he was running toward his father, his "real" father was standing next to the house looking on as Kaishi ran around in circles on the green grass. For a second, Kaishi's dad smiled at the sight of his son running around aimlessly, but quickly dispelled the genjutsu. Kaishi stopped running around and found himself a standing a bit further from his dad this time, but not too far.*
Dad : I hope that was not as terrifying as Shinagi?
Kaishi : Thank god it wasn't *Kaishi said with a relieved voice* But it was just as weird. I was walking towards you but for some reason I could not catch up to you.
Dad : That's Kori Shinchu alright. Although you though you were walking towards me, in reality you were walking around in a circle. *Kaishi's dad said with a faint laugh*
Kaishi : Well, I guess that explains why I ended up further away from you then when I started.
Dad : I hope you memorized the seals I made, I don't want to cast a genjutsu on you again.
Kaishi : Yea I did
*Kaishi spread his legs to shoulder lenght level and slammed his palms together, channeling chakra throughout his body. Just as he was about to form the seals he stopped and looked at his dad*
Kaishi : Wait, who am I supposed to cast this on??
Dad : On me of course, don't worry it won't affect me that much.... trust me.
Kaishi : Okay dad, if you say so.
*Kaishi slammed his plams back together and formed the seals. (Kori Shinchu No Jutsu) As the seals were made Kaishi let his hands down and looked at his father.*
Kaishi : Well , did it work??
Dad : No not really *Kaishi's dad exclaimed as he looked at Kaishi*
Kaishi : What, how the heck do I make it work, I dont even know if it hits or not??
Dad : Don't worry, you will know. Now do it again, but this time mean it !!
*Kaishi nodded, and slammed his palms together, channeling a bit of extra chakra into his hands. He formed the seals again. (Kori Shinchu No Jutsu) As the seal was formed, Kaishi stared at his father, who just stood there for a second and suddenly slammed his palms together and formed a seal ! *
Kaishi : (SHIT !)
*Kaishi knew that his father was casting the same genjutsu as before, and looked away in an attempt to evade it. But he was too late and the gejutsu was cast. Kaishi began to walk towards his father as he had before. He walked, and then ran, as his father's figure did not get any closer to him. He knew that he was in the gejutsu, but he kept running towards his dad. Suddenly, the genjutsu was dispelled and Kaishi found himself standing even farther from his dad than before the genjutsu was cast.*
Kaishi : You got me *Lauhging*
Dad : I told you to mean it, and you didn't.
*It was past noon now, and the sun hovered gently in the sky. A few clouds passed by now and then, blocking out the sunlight and casting random shadows on the ground below. What was a breeze, now turned into a light wind, taking some of the weaker leaves hanging on the Oaks near by with it. Kaishi had been practicing the genjutsu almost all day now, but with no success. In return he had genjutsu cast on him by his father, every signle time he failed to cast one on him.*
Kaishi : I can't do this, genjutsu is just not my strenght..
Dad : We are not leaving until you cast it. But, of course, you can choose to quit like a quiter and run away. Orani would not like you quiting like this.
*As soon as Kaishi heard the name Orani, his whole body became numb as his legs almost gay way as a wave of emotion surged through his body. Orani was his mother's name, who was now dead. Kaishi never met her, but his dad has told him stories about her. She was a beautiful and brave woman, and quite a strong shinobi.*
Kaishi : I know she would...*Kaishi said, staring down at the ground*
Dad : Well then, make her proud son.
*Kaishi wanted to make his dad proud, and his mom. He wanted to surpass his dad, and become a powerful shinobi, know throught out the hidden villages. He lifted his eyes from off the ground and looked back up at his father. A drop of tear flowed down his cheek as he wiped it off and slammed his palms together. He closed his eyes and began to conjure an imagine of his mother, from what his father had told him about her, but he couldn't. Not being able to see his mother enraged Kaishi, and strong wind blew from his palms as Kaishi channeled most of his chakra into them. He formed the seals. (Kori Shinchu No Jutsu) Placing his hands back down Kaishi looked at his dad. His father began to walk toward him. Kaishi thought the genjutsu didn't work and braced himself for another gejutsu form his dad. But, his dad made a turn and began walking in a circle. Suddenly he stopped and turned to his son.*
Dad : That was pretty good son, but it was weak. I dispelled it with no problem, but then again, I am a jonin.
*His dad smiled as Kaishi stood there panting.*
Kaishi : Did you say you dispelled it?? *Kaishi asked with confusion on his face*
Dad : Yes I did, but its a skill you will learn when you are a Jonin, maybe a Chuunin if you are good. Now cast it again, with meaning.
*Kaishi spred his legs to shoulder lenght level, slammed his palms together and closed his eyes. Chakra began leaking out of his palms as the concentrated all of it into them. A strong wind blew into Kaishis face as the sun was behind the horizon now. Kaishi opened his eyes and formed the seals (Kori Shinchu No Jutsu) His arm dropped at his sides one more time and he looked at his father. His dad began walking towards Kaishi again. Like before, he turned slightly to the side as though making a circle. But suddenly, also just like before, he turned back and faced Kaishi one more time.*
Dad : Good, I had a much tougher time dispelling this one, but it wasn't strong enough. One more time and MEAN IT !!!
Kaishi : I can't, I'm almost out of chakra, I dont think I have enough left..
*Kaishi was panting heavily now, his whole body felt really weak, and the weights on his body made it even more challening to keep standing.*
Dad : I guess you are a quiter, and Orani would have though the same!
Kaishi : You don't know that !!!
*Kaishi yelled as he slammed his palms together, sending the last chakra he had into his palms. A powerfull gust blew from his hands and Kaishi formed the seals, with relatively quick speed. (Kori Shinchu No Jutsu) Kaishi dropped his hands at his sides and his eyes began to close. He could see his father begin to walk towards him again. Kaishi's body was giving way as he felt his fingers, then hands, then his whole body go numb. His father's figure became more and more blurry as his eyes closed. Kaishi tried to focus on his dad but couldn't. He suddenly saw the blurry figure begin walking in a circle as Kaishi collapsed with a smile on his face. After a few moments Kaishi's dad dispelled the genjutsu and walked over to Kaishi. He picked him up and carried him into the house as the sun went to sleep and let darkness take over the world.*
Dad : Good job my son, your progress is evident. You will defenitely surpass me.
*Kaishi's dad said as the carried Kaishi into the house and closed the door behind him*

The Silent Storm (Prologue)
SFX : PLOP ! PLOP !
*Kaishis black boots crashed upon puddles on the muddry road as he was making his way back home. His fight went better than he expected, he won, but he knew nothing of his opponent, who stormed out right after the fight was over. This nuisance bothered Kaishi only for a moment and shrugging it off, he made his way along the path he had traveled so many times before. The sun did not shine brightly anymore, or maybe it did, but dark clouds gathered in the sky and the leaves on the tall Oaks fluttered in the rising wind. Something did not feel right to Kaishi, and he began to quicken his pace. The wind had resided and for a moment everything around him froze, like the calm before a storm. Not a bird chirped, not a single squirrel hopped accross his path and not a ray of sunlight penetrated the blanket of dark clouds above. Suddenly, a lightning bolt came down from one of the clouds, striking a tree next to Kaishi, the powerful blast knocking him on the ground face down. Rain began to pour from above, like an ocean had been turned upside down. A mighty gust kicked up and began tearing away at the Oak's leaves, ripping them from the mighty branches, like a cat swiping flies.*
*The lightning blast had sent Kaishi flying about 2 meters, luckily landing in some nearby bushes and coming out without a scratch. As Kaishi slowly got up, groaning and moaning, he looked over at the tree where the lighting had struck. To his astonishment, half of the Oak's trunk was missing, along with most of it's branches. A large groove was vividly visible curving around, what now remained of the tree, like a serpent from the sky and entering the ground beneath. Kaishi was not far from his home now, and he began running through the stormy weather, trying to make his way to safety as quickly as possible. There was no use hiding beneath the trees, because the tremendous rain tore through the skinny leaves like a knife cutting through butter. Kaishi knew his house was just a few hunderd meters away, and usually he would have seen it by now, but the rain formed an impenetrable blanket around Kaishi, preventing him from seeing past his feet. He was running blindly, purely relying on his knowledge of the area to get him home. As the rain poured down, and the wind tore branches off the trees, Kaishi heard a loud explosion not too far off.*
Kaishi : (Another lightning strike?? )
*As he cleared the last trees, Kaishi found himself only a few meters away from his house. As Kaishi got closer and closer to his front steps, time almost seemed to freeze, preventing him from reaching his destination. He took off his gourd and untied his wakisashi, dropping them in the mud behind him, rushing towards his house.*
SFX : Baaaaaaaaaaaaaam
*An ear shattering noise came from above, followed by an enormous flash of light, illuminating the ground around Kaishi. As the flash of light illuminated the area, Kaishi found himself standing right in front of his front door, or what was left of it. The door was knocked down, and lay shatterd just inside the house. No lights were on, and total darkenss reigned within the house. Cautiously stepping inside, Kaishi made his way down the dark corridor.*
Kaishi : Dad !!
*He yelled out, his voice overpowered by the rain pounding the shackles on the rooftop. Feeling one of the corridor walls, Kaishi felt the wall end, which meant his father's room was just around the corner. The rain kept pounding the house from every direction, and the ruthless wind slammed the open windows against the walls of the house, barely being restrained by their hinges from being completely torn away. Turning the corner, Kaishi noticed that his father's door had also been broken down as he felt pieces of wood scattered on the floor. He stood in the door-way to his dad's room, not being able to see anything around him.*
Kaishi : Dad ??
*Kaishi hollered once more. Suddenly, as if someone had shut off a valve, the rain stopped pouring from the sky, and the mighty wind subsided. Dead silence filled the air and darkness consumed Kaishi, his heart racing so fast now that he could feel it pounding against his chest. Kaishi took a step inside his dad's room just as lightning struck in the heavens above. A bright light seeped through the windon into his dad's room and Kaishi was exposed to the most horific sight he had ever seen. The walls inside the room were tinted a dark red, abstract and sudden, as though someone splashed a bucket of paint and let it leak down to the floor. Furniture was tossed around and smashed into tiny splinters of wood, now soaking in the pool of a mixture of blood and water on the floor. As Kaishi's eyes ran around the room, starring at the horror before him, his eyes stopped in the middle of the room and fixed upon his father's bed. His eyes opened widely, and his mouth dropped, but no words came out. His father lay there, face down among the splinters and blood soaked sheets, in front of Kaishi's eyes. Two wakisashis were burried into his father's back, each with fresh blood dripping down its cold and heartless blade. Kaishi began to stumble backwards in horror, trying to run and turn around at the same time. His panicking feet were shuffling underneath him but he seemed to have been stuck in the same place. Finally his feet turned his body and Kaishi bolted out the door. His feet stomping on the muddy ground, Kaishi ran at full speed away from his house.*
SFX : THONK
*Kaishi tripped on the Gourd he dropped on the ground when he just arrived at his house. Falling face flat in the mud, Kaishi's eyes were filled with horror as he picked up the gourd and his wakisashi, laying near-by, from the ground and ran off into the night......*

Chapter 1 (1/4) - Leaving that which is lost
*The torrential weather had resumed as Kaishi ran through the woods. The cruel wind twisted the branches on the now seemingly weak Oaks and tore them off like they were mere toothpicks. The rain was coming down so hard, that it formed a blanket of water, continously soaking everything under its path. The giant Oaks did not seem so majestic anymore, as Kaishi ran full speed in a direction even he didn't know.*
Kaishi : HELP !!!!!
*Kaishi screamed out into the night, just to have his voice overshadowed by the tremendous sound of the wind and rain hitting everything in their path. His feet had a mind of their own now, apart from Kaishi's still concsious brain. The rain poured down even harder as Kaishi found himself running on the path he walked just hours ago. It did not seem anything like he remembered it, the mighty rain had disfigured its foundation into a mixture of mud, broken branches and churned leaves as Kaishi's feet struggled to keep a sturdy grip and he kept stumbling from side to side as he ran. Kaishi's arms began to get tired as the Gourd and the wakisashi began to weight him down, making his whole body cramp up. Still on the run, Kaishi removed the wakisashi from its sheath, dropping it in the mud behind him, and began to cut away at his overly long coat, now drenched in the rain and adding about 15 pounds to Kaishi's already heavy load. Piece by piece, Kaishi's coat came off, and dissapeared into the void behind him, until he found himself 15 pounds lighter and felt his speed pick up. Lightning struck in the sky above and lit up his surroundings for just an instance, causing the surrounding trees to cast monstrous shadows as though they were trying to grab Kaishi's feet and drag him into the depths of darkness itself.*
*Kaishi did not care about time, but he could tell instinctively that he was running for about an hour now. His feet were already sore, his muscles tightening up preventing Kaishi from taking another step, but he kept running with tears rolling down his face just to be swept away by wind and rain beating against his face. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Kaishi noticed a flickering light a bit off to his right.... A gleam of hope appeared in the back of Kaishi's head as his feet unconsciously turned to the right, his primal instinct kicking in, the instinct of survival. As he cleared the first tree, he found himself standing in a small grassy area surrounded by trees. The rain had already been leaving its mark on the grass, in the area, having stomped the grass so deep inside the soil, that only mud was visible on the surface. Focusing his eyes, Kaishi saw a small candle lit in the middel of the small field, surprisingly enough, still lit. Right behind the candle, an outline of a person was visible, like a white sketch on balck canvas. As kaishi got closer and closer to the figure he noticed that the rain was completely avoiding the person and the candel and the person was as dry as the desert itself, compared to what was going on around them.*
Kaishi : HELP, pleasee help me !!!
*Kaishi screamed out at the top of his lungs, collapsing to his knees, now covered in a mixture of mud and grass. As he yelled those words, the light on the candle flickered, as though being suddenly disturbed and the person began walking towards Kaishi.*
Kaishi : Please don't hurt me !
*Kaishi began to plead, tears rolling down his face like water falling off a waterfall. He raised his hands over his head, and looked down at the ground with his eyes closed. As the person got closer and closer, sand began flowing out of Kaishi's Gourd, as though to protect him, but ending up getting wet by the ruthless rain and falling onto the ground around him. The figure was now standing right next to Kaishi as Kaishi looked up from under his hands to have the person's feet meet his face.*
Kaishi : Don't hurt me, please don't !
Person : I am not going to hurt you, now will you stand up?
*A soft voice echoed against the torrential rain, and Kaishi felt a hand touch his. His body froze as he did not know what to expect, he could not distinguish between reality and illusion anymore. As the hand touched his, the rain suddenly began to fall around him, evading his entire body and Kaishi looked up. The person holding his hand revealed herself to be a girl, to Kaishi's amazement. She seemed older than Kaishi though, but Kaishi could not take his eyes off of her beautiful face. Her balck, long hair was tied up in a bow at the side of her head, some of it hanging loose off her forehead and covering the side of the face. She wore a black kimono, but it was nothing Kaishi had ever seen before. The kimono hugged her shoulders gently, revealing the multiple pearl strings around her neck. The kimono itself had beautiful flower patterns sewn onto numerous parts of it.*
Person : What is your name ??
*She asked in a soft voice, gentle enough to calm the fiercest of shinobi*
Kaishi : K...K...K....K...Kaishi
*Kaishi stuttered, still astounded by the girl's beauty and softness. The clouds in the sky began to move away now, onto their next unkown destintion, and the wind began to subdue, as the rain ceased and sunlight began to peek out from the blanket above.*
Person : Well, Kaishi, I am Chalice.. and I am not here to hurt you. *She took a better look at the trembling boy in front of her, tears running down his eyes.* You look pretty beat up, what happened to you.
*Just as she asked that question, Kaishi lunged at her, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist and burrying his face into her chest. They remained like that for a good 10 minutes, Chalice not trying to free herself from this desperate boy's hold. Bit, by bit, Kaishi's grip loosened and he looked up at Chalice, tears still running down his cheeks. Chalice wiped off his tears with the sleeve of her kimono and motioned Kaishi to sit down, still holding on to his hand. Over the next few hours, alternating between crying and conversing, Kaishi told Chalice about what had happened, as she listened attentively, occasionaly having to take Kaishi into her arms assuring him that he is safe.*
*The torrential weather had passed now, and the sun was setting behind the horizon, tinting the sky above it with hues of gold and copper. As Kaishi lay in Chalice's arms, eyes closed, clenching onto her kimono with both hands, a giant gate towered just a few meters away from where the two were.*

Chapter 1 (2/4) - Beyond the Leaf
*The sun began to peek out from behind the hrizon, its soft gaze setting upon the morning dew, still clinging on to the leaves and blades of grass,or at least the ones that survived last night's storm. Kaishi slowly opened his eyes, squinting a bit as the rays of the sun hit them gently. As he began to shift his position, he felt a soft stream of air hit the back of his head. He was a still a bit dissoriented, not being able to grasp his surroundings in the firm grip of reality. The whole scene seemed like a dream to Kaishi, it was so perfect, so quiet, so peacful, quite the opposite of last night. He lazily turned his head to see where the warm stream of air hitting his neck was coming from. As his eyes came into focus, Kaishi came face to face with the girl he met last night. Her eyes were gently shut, and a gentle puff of air came out of her mouth, hitting Kaishi's nose now. Kaishi noticed that her arms were wrapped around him, her long kimono providing a warm and comfortable blanket for the boy. But as Kaishi became more and more aware of his surrounding, last night's event began to come up deep from his unconsciousness and surfacing like an empty bottle dunked in a lake.*
Kaishi : DAD
*Kaishi let out a loud scream, as a flock of birds flew out from one of the giant Oaks and off into the distance. Kaishi jumped up to his feet, fear and confusion appearing on his face once more. Frantically looking around, his eyes running in every direction, Kaishi began to breathe rapidly, his heart ripping out from his chest, his stomach sinking to the bottom of a well. Suddenly a blanket of darkness overcame him, and a soft voice echoed past his ear*
Chalice : It's okay Kaishi, I'm here....
*The next half an hour, Chalice spent comforting Kaishi, gently running her hand through his soft blue hair, stopping periodically to wipe the occasional tears rolling down his cheeks. A light breeze swept through the open area, gently brushing the grass still left from last night's savage rain. Chalice noticed Kaishi finally calming down, and stood up. Her black kimono gently rocked in the wind, like a small child playing on their swings. Extending her hand to Kaishi, her eyes met his for a moment and a warm tingle made its way down Kaishi's entire body. He sat on the ground for a moment, looking at this stranger standing in front of him, who, for no reason went out of her way to help him. A smile drew itself on Kaishi's face and he grabbed her extended arm, pulling himself up to his feet.*
Chalice : Ahh you've finally settled. *She smiled gently at him, but instantly her eyes fixated on Kaishi's Gourd* I noticed you're a Sunaton, that is very rare around here... *Her eyes focused back on Kaishi as she put her hands on his shoulders, in a reassuring manner* I don't have the answers to all your problems but I do know that the kazekage in the sand village could relate to your situation: he also knows what it's like to be alone and with no where to turn. Believe it or not I am quickly becoming considered a very hated plague upon this land for how I saved the Ten'un boy, but I know Gaara-sama is a most understanding person. He even sent me a request to have an audience with him after hearing of our escape, although I haven't been able to take him up on it yet. I'm sure I can still get a meeting with him for you!
Kaishi : Do you think Gaara-sama will help me find my dad's killers??
*A gleam of hope sparked in Kaishi's eyes, even if not for the right reasons*
Chalice : The most that gaara will be able to offer is a place to live, a pathway to train, and most importantly a shoulder to lean on. He is the kazekage after all. *Chalice said, placing her hands in a comforting manner on Kaishi's shoulders* ... dont let this hatred consume you Kiashi, killing is a dark triumph, one that rewards in nothing but a small petty reprisal. Once you kill someone you blamed for all your strife and you discover your life still is empty what do you have left? *Kaishi stood there silent, listening to the words that this girl had to offer* think about that and please remember it... no matter what the ninja villages tell you.
*A sudden rush of emotions hit Kaishi, fear, anger, revenge, pain, all flared up in his eyes. He thrust his shoulders to the side, away from Chalice's hold, placed his Gourd on his back, took his wakisashi in his hand and began to head towards the large gate just a few meters away from them. He stopped for a second, a light breeze sweeping his torn pants side to side, and turned his head around to face Chalice, a single tear rolling down his cheek.*
Kaishi : You do not know how I feel, you did not lose everything you ever loved. If you want to help me then help me, if not, I will do this alone, even if it kills me.
*Kaishi almost made his way past the archways of the gate when a hand touched him on his shoulder and he heard a familiar voice next to him. He turned around to find Chalice standing there, a sincere look on her face.*
Chalice : I'm sorry kiashi, your right, that was unfair for me to say... just keep it in mind okay? I will do whatever I can to get you started on your journey...*Her face suddenly lit up with a smile* Now can we hurry along, standing in the sunlight sure is making me sleepy.
*Smiling back at Chalice, the two took their first steps and were out of Konoha. Wind swept up Chalice's kimono and toyed with Kaishi's pants. A wave of happiness flowed through him. For some odd reason, this stranger made him feel safe and secure, she made him feel wanted and loved. All his life, Kaishi looked upon with fear because of his Bloodline, even those who seemed nice, struggled to keep their fear and disgust from slipping out. But this girl was real, and for some odd reason, Kaishi was able to tell.*
*Kaishi had never been outside of Konoha before. The surrounding area seemed alien and distant to him, he could not recognize the chirping of the birds, nor the rustling of the leaves. Even the sun cast different shadows as it hit the surrounding trees, each ruslting or slight noise startled Kaishi, his heart suddenly jumping only to find the comforting grip of Chalice holding his hand. They had been walking for about two hours now, leaving the gate of Konoha far behind them, not visible to the naked eye anymore. The sun already on it's way to becoming dormant, casting elongated shadows of the surrounding trees, making them look twice as big as they actually were. The wind began to pick up and even tear off some of the weaker leaves from their branches. A sudden gust blew accross the path Kaishi and Chalice were walking on, almost knocking them both down.*
Chalice : This is exactly why I don't like daytime... too much trouble, hahaha *Her eyes met Kaishi's as he felt her hand tighten the grip for a moment* How about we take a shot nap now... we can continue at night.
Kaishi : We can't , we have to get to Suna as soon as possible.
*Kaishi beggan running, pulling Chalice by her hand and dragging her with him. As the sun was setting behind the horizon Kaishi noticed a bronze glow off in the distance. His jog quickly turned into a slow walk as he marveled at the sight before him. He trees which lined their path so far, dissapeared at the horizon, almost as though being swallowed by the sun itself. A light breeze swept through the area, but it seemed different to Kaishi. It did not have that freshness and crisp to it, this air was dry and barren, like a lifeless skeleton brought back to life.*
Chalice : That's The Desert alright...*Chalice spoke out soflty, her eyes sparkling in the setting sun and her black kimono bringing out their sparkle even more.* Just two more days of travel and we'll reach our destination.
Kaishi : What are we waiting for, we can just walk all night and get there in one day...
*He began to run again, but this time a strong tug kept him from moving. Even though Chalice looked gentle and soft, she was a very strong girl. The look in her eyes told everything and Kaishi quickly understood that they should rest before going through The Desert. The sun had almost gone out of sight, leaving only it's glowing red rim visible above the horizon as the pair were in plain sight of The Desert now. Suddenly, Chalice let go of Kaishi's hand and jumped up onto a thicks branch on one of the near-by trees. Kaishi was amazed at the speed and agility with which she moved, but he could not let her outshine him. Gathering chakra in his feet, Kaishi proudly ran up the tree trunk, and stopped at the branch Chalice was sitting on.*
Chalice : Ahhh, looks like your chakra control is much better than Tenk's
*She muttered softly, her voice barely audible in the evening breeze.*
Kaishi : Is that where we're going?
*Kaishi asked streching out his arm and pointing his finger accross The Desert now folded out in front of them. It's red sand swept back and forth by the gusts of wind roaming the dunes. A single eagle flew off in the distance, too far for Kaishi to recognize. But Chalice knew what it was, "The Messenger of Suna"*
Chalice : Yup, that is where we're headed. *She said softly, putting her hand around Kaishi and wrapping her long sleeve around him.* You better get some sleep, we've got a long day ahead of us.

Chapter 1 (3/4) - The Sea of Sand
*The gentle swaying of the branch, Kaishi and Chalice were sleeping on, rocked them back and forth, just enough not to make them lose their balance and fall on the ground quite a ways below them. Chalice stood up on one of the branches, gazing out into sandy sea before them. Her kimono fluttered softly in the morning breeze, curving her body and revealing quite a nice figure underneath all that loose clothing. Her hair was let down, gently hugging her back and shoulders.*
Chalice : Ahhhhhh, sure is nice when the sun is not out
*With a smile on her face she extended her arms out to her sides and took in a deap breath of the fresh morning air. Turning around she walked over to Kaishi, who was still off in the depths of his mind, laying perfectly motionless on the branch. She stood in front of him for a moment, as though going over something in her mind. Suddenly, she reached out her foot and tapped Kaishi's leg, causing him to tilt his body only a little bit, but enough to make him lose balance. Opening his eyes wildly at the sudden jolt, Kaishi quickly regained balance by grabbing on to the branch with both his feet and hands.*
Kaishi : What was that for !!!
*He exclaimed looking directly at Chalice, who was standing right above him. A drop of sweat rolled down his face and pumelled to the ground below. Seeing the drop of sweat fall from his forehead, a smile lit up on Kaishi's face and he slowly stood up on his feet.*
Kaishi : You got me pretty good. *He said in a semi-sarcastic tone*
Chalice : Oh stop your whining, I was going to catch you if you were going to fall off... Now get ready, we're heading out.
*Chalice turned around to look at the desert once more as Kaishi made his way to his stuff, which lay nearby. Then suddenly...!*
Kaishi : Hey Chalice !! *Chalice turned around at the sudden outburst from Kaishi only to see him standing one foot on the branch and the other one in the air.* Catch !
*Kaishi yelled as his other foot leg go of the branch and Kaishi dissapeared from her sight. Chalice's eyes opened in horror as the boy in front of her vanished in an instant. Kaishi felt the air rush past him as he raced toward the ground, the branch he stepped off becoming smaller and smaller. A gust of air blew and Kaishi found himself laying in the arms of Chalice, the sleeves of her kimono still floating above her hands. Kaishi looked into her eyes and a smile drew itself on his face.*
Chalice : What the hell were you thinking ?!
Kaishi : You said you'd catch me , didn't you? *Kaishi asked in an innoncent and quiet voice*
Chalice : Do that again, and next time I won't be here
*Her voice sounding angry and strict, quite different from what Kaishi had been exposed to so far. His hand sank in a little bit as Chalice's eyes didn't have that kindness in them anymore, but only for an instant. She smiled faintly and spread her hands, letting Kaishi fall on the dusty ground.*
Chalice : Get your things, we better be on our way before that darn sun comes out, or else you'll be stuck watching me sleep all day.
*The sun was up in the sky now as Kaishi and Chalice walked along the barren sand dunes of The Desert of Suna. The footprints they left in the sand were being swept away by the random gusts of wind that haunted the sandy sea. Chalice had one of her hands up against her face, her long black sleeve protecting her mouth from the sand particles flying around them, and her second hand was grasping Kaishi's, not to lose track of the Sunaton boy. Interestingly enough, Kaishi didn't seem to mind the desert weather much. His blue hair fluttered in the occassional winds, his face completely bare and his eyes as seeing perfectly fine despite the sand floating about. His Gourd blended in perfectly with the surroundings, making it seem like the Desert itself was resting on Kaishi's back. The two had been walking for almost half a day now, but it was hard to tell. The sun was partially blocked out by the layer of sand being blown up by the wind, making it hard to see the sky, let alone what was just beyond your footsteps. As the two were walking hand in hand, sand blowing in their faces and seemingly undening walk streching out even further before them Kaishi suddenly broke himself away from Chalice and lunged forward, dissapearing into the sandy layer.*
Chalice : Kaishi !
*Chalice exclaimed, launching herself in the same direction that Kaishi went. Out of nowhere she stumbled upon Kaishi's Gourd laying on the ground. Regaining her footing she noticed two fuzzy figures just a few meters in front of her, one of them kneeling next to the other. Chalice quickly picked up Kaishi's Gourd and advanced swiftly toward the two figures.*
Chalice : Kaishi is that you??
*She exclaimed as she got closer to the two people in front of her.*
Kaishi : Yea it's me, come over here, quickly !
Chalice : You sure are a lively one, did you drop forget something?
*Chalice said mockingly, holding out his Gourd in front of him. Suddenly she noticed the other person on the sandy bed, who Kaishi was kneeling next to. She knelt down next to Kaishi, softly lifting the person's head and gently brushing the, long ,wavy red hair aside. Kaishi and Chalice quietly gasped as the face revealed the person to be a young girl, about Kaishi's age. He face was covered in sandy bits, her lips dry and cracked from the desert's heat. It seemed she had been there for a while, for her clothes were all torn up to shreds. Her red pants looked just as ragged as Kaishi's, but her red shirt, or what was left of it, barely covered her dehydrated torso. Kaishi stared in amazement at the girl before him, he leaned in closer to her mouth, placing his hand on her chest to check if she was still breathing. As his hand made contact with her skin, and his face was almost on top of her's, her opened slowly as her hand weakly grabbed Kaishi's shirt.*
Girl : Please....d..d..d..don't hur....
*Her words faded off into the ruthless desert as her eyes closed and her hand fell on the sand.*
Kaishi : We have to help her Chalice !!!
Chalice : Don't you think I already know that...
*Chalice stood up to her feet, placing Kaishi's gourd on her back, as Kaishi slowly picked up the girl's limp body and held her on his back. The two started walking faster now, their footprints eched deeper into the sand as their steps were heavier and infused with chakra to speed up their pace. Strong gusts of wind began to toss the sand around like a ragdoll, as the dim disk of light in the sky was almost behind the invisible horizon. As the three walked in the seemingly neverending sea of sand, Kaishi noticed something off in the distance as a gust of wind blew a sandy blanket enveloping Kaishi, Chalice and the girl and cutting off thier view.*
*What Kaishi saw were the great walls of Suna, towering up over The Desert, reaching out of the sand blanket and up towards the sky*

Chapter 1 (4/4) - A new Village
*The Desert was very different at night than during the day. Although the wind had subsided and visibility was much better, the freezing cold was more than enough to hold the strongest of shinobi at bay. Chalice's kimono draped gently over her body, her visible breath quickly dissapearing before her eyes. In front of her, Kaishi was walking with the girl on his shoulders. Although Kaishi was freezeing more than Chalice, his body did did not show it, as his stride was exactly the same as in the blazing heat; quick, proud and determined. The girl on his back was a different story though, whatever clothes she had on were beggining to harden as the cold air turned her exposed skin blue. Kaishi could feel her cold body pressing against his, and mustering up his remainig strenght, he began to walk faster.*
Chalice : Hold up Kaishi, if you walk so fast you'll faint before we get to Suna.... *Chalice excalimed as she began to catch up to him*
Kaishi : We need to get her to a warm place
Chalice : For the hundredth time, let me carry her, you can't handle her weight much longer
Kaishi : NO ! *Kaishi yelled out into the darkness surrounding them* I found her and I will get her to Suna!
Chalice : Damn kid.. *She muttered to herself*
*Chalice noticed the girl's body begin to shake as the ruthless weather trampeled on what life was still left in her fragile body.*
Chalice : (This can't go on for much longer, if we dont get to Suna soon, both of them will be in big trouble)
*Just as she thought those words, a light began to flicker not too far up ahead. Kaishi's eyes lit up at the sight of the small dot in the eternal darkeness of The Desert. Chalice noticed the light too, and she began to walk faster, her kimono now fluttering lightly in the still air. Walking up to Kaishi, she grabbed his hand with the sleeve of her Kimono covering his cold fingers. Chalice knew perfectly well what that light meant, and happiness filled her heart as the three made their way accross the silent dunes of The Desert. The sky was prefectly clear as millions of stars flickered in the heavens, like somebody was constantly turning them on and off. Despite the beautiful parade of lights floating above their heads, Kaishi and Chalice did not care much about their surroundings. They just wanted to get to Suna as quickly as possible and away from the ruthless cold of The Desert.*
Kaishi : Look !!
*Kaishi exclaimed as the source of the light became clrearly visible now. A shadowy figure revealed itself standing not too far off from the threesome. It was hard to make out who or what it was, as the flame the person was holding kept distorting his shadow, making it seem like the person was moving constantly.*
???? : Who goes there??
*The figure suddenly shouted as Kaishi and Chalice were within 5 meters of him.*
Chalice : Oh stop your "tough-guy" act Hotoki, it's me.
???? : Oh it's you, what the hell are you doing in The Desert this time of night, you above all people should know it's not safe to....
*His words wandered off as his eyes set upon Kaishi and the girl clinging on to his back.*
Chalice : I'll explain later, we need to find a warm place.....
Hotoki : Oh , yea yea go ahead....
*The man stepped aside as a dark passageway revealed itself before Kaishi. He stopped for a second, lifting his head and looking at Chalice. Chalice nodded to him in an approving manner and walked inside the tunel, being ingulfed by the dark void. Hotoki grinned with a sinister smile, as Kaishi quickly ran after Chalice. For the next few minutes, he could only hear Chalice's footsteps just a few meters in front of him when suddenly a bright flash of light filled his eyes and he lifted one of his hands to cover his sight. As his eyes came back into focus, he found himself standing in a large street with houses lining it on everyside. Candles and lamps illuminated the numerous open windows, casting a soft light on the street below. The whole situation reminded Kaishi of Konoha, but just for a second, as Chalice's voice broke through his daydream.*
Chalice : Come on, this way....
*Chalice was standing in the doorway of one of the houses. Kaishi quickly made his way to where Chalice was standing and the three stepped inside as Chalice shut the door behind them, sending a whif of air accross the brick floor. Kaishi found the inside of the house to be much more attractive than the outside. A soft carpet was spread accross the floor, covering most of the room's area. A small wooden table stood in the middle of the room, four wooden chairs tucked at its sides and two glowing candles constatnly dripping wax on the table's surface. There were no paintings on the brown walls, but a small counter was pressed against the far right conrener of the room. A beautiful glass vaze, crafted of many colors and patterns, stood on the counter, holding a single red rose. On the other side of the room, a wooden stairway led to a second floor.*
Chalice : Come on, we have to get this girl warm...
*Chalice motioned to Kaishi as she began to walk up the stairs. Kaishi silently followed Chalice up the stairs to find that the second floor held two more rooms. One of them was a large bedroom, having two beds against each of the side walls and a small counter in between the beds. Another vase, similar to the one on the first floor, stood on top of this counter, also holding a single red rose in it. After passing by the bedroom, Kaishi made his way to the other room, which contained quite a large bathtub and a small sink. Chalice was standing next to the tub, warm water having filled the tub halfway already.*
Chalice : Here, place her over there. *Chalice motioned to the tub* I have to go for a bit, but I will come back later. Make sure she doesnt drown, haha
*Chalice exited the room, her laughter still heard as she opened the door and exited the house. Kaishi gently stepped into the tub and sat down and leaned back, so that the girl on his back was now submerged up to her neck in the warm water. Kaishi slowly placed the girl's hands on her sides and stepped out of the tub, turning off the running water. He untied his wakizashi and placed it next to him, sitting down next to the tub and fixating his eyes on the girl in front of him. His mind began to wander away into a world of chaos and fear, his eyes momentarily closing as the image of his father's body appeared in his head. He placed his head on the side of the tub, his fingers barely touching the warm water, and fell asleep.*

Chapter 2 (1/3) - Alone once more
SFX : BOOOOOOM , Kreeeeeeeeeeeek
*Violent rain pounded the shingled roof. Kaishi cautiously made his way through a dark corridor, peeking into the rooms he passed. Darkness played with his eyes and the sound of the rain hurt his eardrums. The corridor seemed endless, countless doors lining its invisible walls. Kaishi’s steps echoed in the abyss before him, bouncing off the non existent wood lining the floor and ceiling.
SFX : Shiiiiiiiiiink
??? : GHAAAAA
*A sudden voice struck through the pounding rain. It seemed to come from the room Kaishi just passed. His feet felt heavy as he flexed his legs and attempted to face the door to his right. The whole corridor began to shift and wobble, the wooden floor now oozing and climbing up the walls.*
Kaishi : What the hell
Kaishi spoke out loud but quickly covered his ears as the sound of his voice pierced his ears with an incredibly high pitch.*
SFX : Bang, Booooom, Clankkk
??? : He’s dead now, let’s go
*The mysterious voice struck again as though being spoken through a loudspeaker. Kaishi sluggishly reached out his hand and touched the door knob. The door began to ooze and dissapear beneath his feet as he turned the knob. The whole corridor was almost gone, only black liquid filling Kaishi’s lungs. He quickly let go of the knob and grabbed his neck, gasping for air.*
??? : Okay we’re done here, let’s get out
*Still gasping for air, Kaishi lifted his trembling head to face the person in front of him. The dark ooze almost engulfed the figure completely. Kaishi’s eyes met with the figure’s in front of him for an instant as the ooze began to flow into his nose and ears. Suddenly, another figure appeared in front of Kaishi and not seeming to notice him, grabbed the shoulder of his partner*
??? : Let’s go Hotoki
Kaishi : You ?
*Kaishi’s eyes widened as the ooze began to seep into his mouth. The figures in front of him disappeared into the surrounding nothingness and Kaishi felt death pass through his body*
Kaishi : AHHHHHHHHH
*Kaishi’s eyes opened and he quickly rose to his feet. Sweat dripped down his face as his shaking hands gripped the side of the bathtub*
Kaishi : Only a dream....
*Kaishi said soflty, placing a hand over his face. Taking in a deep breath, he walked over to the towel rack and flung a white towel over his head. He began to recollect the events from his dream when something suddenly hit him. He flung the towel to the floor and fixated his eyes on the tub next to him. Without hesitation he bolted out of the bathroom and down to the living room only to be stopped by the sight in front of his eyes. The walls or the corridor had scratch marks all over them. The wood seemed to be eaten out or dissolved*
Kaishi : What the hell happened here?
*Kaishi said out loud when he suddenly heard the front door downstairs shutting. Without hesitation he bolted down the wooden stairs. Sliding to a halt, his feet got tangled in the carpet and he stumbled onto one of the chairs in the living room. Slow to get up, Kaishi felt his head for any bumps. With the corner of his eye, he noticed a round object on the edge of the table and a small piece of paper jammed under it. Still holding one hand to his head, he reached over and slid the paper from under the object.*
Note :
Kaishi,
Sorry I had to leave so quickly, but I had to hurry back home. Please make yourself at home. I had made arrangements for you to stay at this house for as long as you need. I hope we meet again someday.
Take care,
Chalice
Oh before I forget, I have arranged for you to meet one of my old friends.. he will take you to Gaara-sama. Meet him in the market, just a few blocks from here.
*Kaishi crumpled the note after reading it and placed it in his pocket. Glancing over to the far corner of the room, he noticed his gourd resting against the thick wall, along with his wakizashi and other equipment. A smile appeared on his face as he though of Chalice and scurried over to his stuff and put it on. Having his gourd on his back , his wakizashi around his waist, and all of the other equipment fastened on his body, Kaishi boldly opened the door and walked out, as a flush of sunlight grazed his face.*

Chapter 2 (2/2) - Green and Brown
*Setting his foot beyond the door and shutting it behind him, sunlight flooded Kaishi's eyes as he covered his face. A whistling sound filled the air as wind swept through the street. It was mid-day and a sea of people flooded the streets as Kaishi walked amidst the men, women and childre, all dressed in grey and brown robes and covered by a large cloak. Most of the people had their faces concelaed and the baggy clothes made it even harder to distinguish between them. Kaishi's eyes wondered around as he looked at his surroundings with amazement. The grey and brown tint of the village sure was different from the lush greeness and clear skys of Konoha. But somehow, being surrounded by all this sand and wind made Kaishi feel at easy and for an instant he felt as though he was walking on air when suddenly he bumped shoulders with a person walking past him. The man was walking pretty hastly, and the force of the blow knocked Kaishi back a little bit*
??? : Im so sorry, are you okay??
*The quickly knelt besides Kaishi and extended his arm to help him up*
Kaishi : Yeah I'm fine... *Kaishi said, putting a hand on the back of his head* I've had worse
??? : Sorry I didn't see you there..
*Kaishi grabbed the person's arm and pulled himself back onto his feet. A small crack in the sky let sunlight seep through and something on the person's forehead flickered for an instant. Kaishi's eyes widened a bit as he dusted himself off*
Kaishi : You're a shinobi aren't you??
??? : Why yes, yes I am... how did you know
Kaishi : Oh, your forehead protector glimmered in the sun... so i assumed...
??? : HEY.. you're that kid aren't you... Chalice's friend
*The mad suddenly exclaimed while retracting the large hood over his face. His flowing green hair waving lightly in the whistling gusts*
??? : I knew you looked familiar....what was your name again
Kaishi : Kaishi... and yours?
*Kaishi asked cautiously, keeping an eye out on his surroundings*
???
