Nazo reluctantly went to the arena of his new fight. He couldn’t believe he was given another chance after his abominable first fight (http://forum.narutochaos.com/showthread.php?t=12578). Snickering and giggling behind his back, the spectators imitated his slow movements, his frightened face when the tip of the sword was about to slash him. He felt an intense moment of shame, trying to brush it off by thinking that he was not going to let this get in the way of his fighting. He had his way of doing this and he was going to keep it up, no matter how many times that meant he was going to go down. He gazed to the sky where the birds innocently chased each other in their pursuit of happiness. (Oh hell, I’m the laughing stock already; let’s just show that I can actually do something)
Once again, he noticed Kotetsu standing in front of his arena. “So we meet again”
”yeah, I’m glad I’ve gotten this fight, hopefully it’ll be a short one, just like last time, and then I’ll have the rest of the day off.”
“whatever, just let me in!”
“feisty aren’t we…. Let me just tell you this next thing: you are not allowed to use elemental jutsus in this fight ok?”
“well euh….ok then” (like I have any of those…. ) “Has my opponent arrived yet?”
”No, he’s not here yet but there’s one other…”
Nazo immediately proceeded to the arena to pick out his place from where he would start.
Looking around, he noticed that there were more trees than he had hair under his armpits and more lush bushes than he would ever encounter in even his wildest dreams. He wanted an open spot that would offer him the possibility of seeing his opponent arrive from every angle. Approaching such a place next to a little river, he lurked behind a tree on the edge of that patch, checking left and right to see whether his opponent had appeared, but the only thing he saw was a fox running into the little field from the tree he was hiding behind, sniffing every few steps for a possible predator, then burying something he couldn’t quite distinguish before fleeing into the bush to the side of the open patch. (Cute, watching out for a predator…Same thing I am doing)
Knowing that there was no way the opponent could approach him without being seen, he stepped into the open field, sitting down in front of the river – face towards the entrance and the wood he just came out of and his back towards the river – one leg over the other, placed his hands on his knees, closed his eyes and prayed for good luck in this fight.
10 kunai
5 metsubishi
20 feet of wire
5 exploding notes
1 pouch
1 kunai holster
OoC: mailed judges with the plan. Just thought I'd let you know. Good luck :)
Arata calmly walked into the forest, as the wind blowing above rustled the leaves, and shadows crossed over the ground. A squirrel stared at him, but he ignored it, going along through the forest towards the designated battleground. In his mind he rifled through what he had brough with him. He had both kunai pouches strapped to his thighs, one for each side. He was ambidextrous but his right arm was steadier than his left. He had two emergancy kunai holders as well, both strapped on just above his ankle.
1 Katana, 1 Tanto, 28 Kunai, 1 Soldier Pill
He sighed. He had forgotten to get something that would certainly have helped, but he wouldn't really need it for this battle. After all, if he had used one the entire forest might have burned down.
Arata figured that although he felt at ease here, his opponent would not be. He might make mistakes. There was so much life Arata nearly felt like it was thicker with plant life than it was with air.
He looked up. Several of the trees here were climbable, but they were all huge. Arata could barely see ten yards ahead, but the good news was his opponent probably was just as hampered.
He wandered around for a bit, coming to a small stream. Staying in the woods to keep his presence hidden from sight, he crept slowly along.
A twig snapped under him. Arata would've sworn if he wasn't sure where his enemy was. The forest may be a good place to hide from sight, but if he didn't move carefully his opponent would hear him before he needed to do that.
He walked another ten yards or so, when he saw his opponent by the river.
'Excellent... right out in the open.' he thought, as he grinned and moved towards the edge of the trees, drawing a kunai. From the looks of it the boy was praying, maybe for luck. He was facing towards the wood arata was coming from, but there was no way he could see him in all this brush.
Arata grinned one more time. He would throw his kunai, then quickly run back into the wood.
He pulled his arm back, calmly keeping his eyes trained on his opponent. Sweat was dripping down his forehead, and every fiber of his being screamed 'DO IT!!' But he kept as calm as he could, and aimed. The kunai was ready to let loose.
Arata threw it out of the woods. It slashed through the trees, heading at an unimaginable speed towards his opponent.
Arata wouldn't see whether or not it hit. As soon as he saw his aim was true, he turned around, and quickly went deeper into the forest.
'Step into my lair...' He grinned, dissappearing into the woods. '...said the dragon to the cow...'
OOC: don't forget, Arata's running as hard as he can, not taking care of watching for other plants. He probably snapped up about ten or so by now, and it would've been more but he's not that far in yet.

Nazo calmly focused while sitting in the field. The little stream caused little noise as it was practically at a standstill, slowly moving forward. It was like a small child refusing to go shopping with his mom and slouching all the way to the store.
SFX: SNAP
(He’s here! Where did that come from…somewhere in front….) Nazo immediately opened his eyes
SFX: WHOOSH
He saw a kunai leaving the bush and getting bigger and bigger as it approached Nazo, while the forest behind it seemed to hide in its wake. (He’s over there!)
In an instinctive move, Nazo threw his entire body to the side, hoping to miss what was heading towards him like a bullet from the gun, knowing he couldn’t get up and dodge it using chakra.
AAAAAAAARGH
Nazo’s cry resonated all through the forest, cutting down through the bone of every creature in the forest.
Nazo laid there, cringing on his side, with the kunai right next to him, holding his hands on his arm. (That’s what you get for wanting it your way Nazo, your opponent strikes before you know it…guess you’ll never learn hehehehe)
OoC: welcome back kumomaru :) Sorry for the short post.
Arata slowed down, and finally stopped, deep in the forest. He started to breathe heavily, his hands on his knees. He knew what he'd done (ooc: no, he's not playing a trick, it was the kunai.) wasn't enough. No ninja would be taken down by one kunai. Not only was it anti-climactic, it was just plain embarassing, taken down by one kunai.
No, his opponent was still out there. He'd heard a shout as he he'd run away, so it had hit, and his opponent was hurt, but neither dead nor incapacitated. So he was injured. Best circumstance, he would be slowed down a great deal and didn't know where he was. Worst, he had faked it to lure him into a false sense of confidence, and was already on his tail.
Either way he would need to prepare for his arrival, and to know when he came.
But how? Arata didn't bring bandages, and even if he had, they wouldn't have done much in this situation.
He knew that there were branches everywhere, but if his opponent was careful he would never hear him coming. Arata had gotten one up on him because his opponent had made a mistake, but that might not happen a second time.
If he wanted to win he would need to improvise.
He looked around, for anything, ANYTHING, he could use. All he saw were trees, bushes, and branches everywhere. Occasionally a squirrel would run past, a rat might come up and sniff him, then run off. A fox went by at one point.
Then an idea sparked in his mind. It would work, but he would need time, and that was something he didn't have.
He was well rested, so he took off again, this time heading towards the northeastern corner of the arena.
'Let's hope this plan is as good as i think it is...'
ooc: he hasn't set it up yet but i pmed the idea to a judge, he said it was fine...

Nazo realized he could not just lay there and wait but that he had to get up and move away before his opponent took advantage of the situation. His plan to use open space had easily been turned against him. He went towards the river and soundlessly crept in. It was quite shallow, allowing him to stand on the bottom, while he slowly, steadily, carefully moved to the north, to the arena’s entrance, limiting his visibility by only staying up with his head. (With this wound, I’ll get faster treatment if I’m close to the exit) Vigilantly looking around so he wouldn’t attract attention, he noticed the fox from earlier sniffing around the river bank, following him around as a predator trying to scavenge a wounded animal. (It’s not mortal, so I guess this animal is not in luck)
As he approached the end of the river, he climbed out, kicking his feet towards the fox in an attempt to scare it off. It seemingly worked as the fox ran into the bushes and hid for cover (stupid arena, as if an opponent wasn't bad enough). Nazo inched closer and closer to the exit, with his back against the arena-wall, so he could only be attacked from the front, while still holding his hand against his right upper arm. He made no sound as he had heard his opponent make quite a lot of noise while running off. He was determined not to make that mistake.
Suddenly, he saw his opponent running diagonally away from him. (He doesn’t appear to have seen me!). Nazo forgot about his treatment and got his shinobi-instinct back, immediately quickening his step along the arena-wall, which was covered by grass, providing him a silent approach. As soon as he was in jumping distance, he jumped up against the arena wall, gaining height and then pushed off against the wall towards his opponent, thrusting his left foot forwards gunning for the knee closest to him, the opponent’s left knee to return the favour of being hurt.
Arata looked back with a surprised expression in his eyes just before Nazo's foot made contact.
Arata fell to the forest floor, and as he did so, he reached out and pulled a kunai out of its sheath.
He had noticed something that the enemy had apparently forgotten.
Jumping from the wall gave you extra momentum, yes, and yes, it worked, and yes, Arata's leg was numb, and yes, he was having trouble standing without wincing, but Nazo had forgotten one thing:
How was he going to land?
The floor was covered in branches and rocks, and there were probably a few more rocks underground. The arena was going to be painful to land on, and as soon as Nazo did, Arata would end it.
Arata took his arm back, and with slightly less speed than before, threw his kunai at Nazo, but his aim was off, and missed him by a few inches.
"Dammit..." Arata swore, pulling out his katana. Things were going to get really ugly, real fast. But he would be ready.
'Looks like the plan i came up with earlier is useless for now...' he thought, still breathing heavily from his running. 'I'll just have to wait, i guess... maybe next time...'

OoC: I’ve taken quite a bit away from your post, I’ve asked two judges about this, and since it’s a bunshin, you can’t do all the stuff and I had to start my post where the bunshin almost hit. Otherwise I’d be cheating and you would just be confused.
Nazo quietly observed his opponent turning towards his bunshin. (It’s actually going to hit? It came from that far away and he’s going to brace himself for a hit?)
He knew he had to take advantage of this moment. Seeing his opponent scrap his feet on the ground, readying for the collision with his bunshin, he ran out of the bushes, only unhenge’ing from his fox-disguise after leaving the thickness of the woods behind. He did this to avoid making a sound crashing through the branches if he did it in human form. As soon as he left the bushes, he was in the clear, not being further than just a couple of steps from the back of his undoubtedly unprepared opponent. He grabbed into his pockets with both hands, taking out a kunai. As his bunshin hit the opponent, it poofed away.
But because of the expectation of a collision with a solid object, his opponent was dumbfounded as nothing had actually hit him except for a small gust of cloud. Just behind his opponent right now, having taken advantage of the bunshin distraction, he swung his left arm around his opponent’s neck with his kunai firmly gripped and pressing against the flesh just under the cheekbone of this boy he had now in a firm lock, while his right hand grabbed for the katana to immobilize it.
“All warfare is based on deception.”
OoC: this is my last post, seeing as how you’re in quite the predicament. Sorry about the tactic, but I wasn’t going to lose the way I did in my first fight *glares at Viseres*. You’re quite welcome to add another post yourself. I’ll pm you my tactic if you want.
Arata stood stock still for a moment with the cold steel against his bare skin, and as he realized there was no way out, he sighed. "Not bad. 'Name's Fuyumi Arata. Nice to meet you."
Arata would've walked away if Nazo wasn't still holding the kunai to his throat.

Winner is Pap
Notes about spoilers and general notes:
Pap: This almost cost you the match, your character is walking up to his target in a forest...most likely he will make noise. Thus it shoould of been posted the real char was moving or a Pap #2 was moving. Reason for late judge results was it took us awhile to find out which judge you sent the pm to...
Kumo: After he revelaed his posted you could of escaped but would of taken damage, as you gave it, it basicly made the judge's choice really easy once we got the pm pap sent out

Nazo listened to his opponent introducing himself.
Immediately after that, the sounds of the forest were invaded by the screeching sound of a microphone being turned on. Several speakers, spread across the arena, declared Nazo as the winner of the fight. Nazo immediately lowered his kunai and stepped to the side of his opponent.
"I'm Nazo, let's go for some ramen and discuss this battle, I think we'll both be able to learn something from it".

Running with the speed of an excited young child, Kagirinai Anryoku finally stepped up to the entrance of the Forest of Tranquility. She was highly excited for this day’s battle. She has never heard of her opponent and was eager to see what he could pull off. After her previous battle, she was keen to find herself in an arena again! And, the few fans of her fight had made her all the more excited! This day was the Quarter Finals of the Tournament of the Sun… And Anryoku was eager to see how the sun would rise on a entrant of the Semi Finals as well.
At the gate, were two guards. As Anryoku came closer, they halted her progress.
Guard 1: “Kagirinai Anryoku?”
Anry: “That is me.”
Guard 2: “Inventory?”
Anry: “15 Explosive tags, a few feet of wire, 8 kunai, 15 hari and two sets of weights, on my arms and legs.”
Guard 1: “(Dumb kid… get rid of the weights)”
Guard 2: “Ok… Here, eat this.”
The guard hands Anryoku a pill that she inspects slightly.
Guard 2: “It’s a pill that temporarily doubles your chakra. You and your opponent are both to take this pill before the fight. Also, you are not allowed to use the bunshin jutsu. We will be watching. Now… go, fight!”
Guard 1: “Hey, you’re the Kagirinai kid? Is it true what Jin-sama did to those three kids who wanted to enter your clan? If so... you must be pretty hardcore! You and that… Ichiro, wasn’t it?”
Anryoku did not answer him, for she did not know anything about what it was that Kagirinai Jin had done. Instead, she stepped into the Forest of Tranquility, ready for battle…
As she stepped into the arena, a magical sight of trees and butterflies welcomed her. Everything was green… except for the nearby river! It was still and looked beautiful. Anryoku stood around for a while… and then climbed into a tree near the river… Then…
“Henge no jutsu” she whispered under her breath. As she did, she transformed into a tree, which looked like just another one of the multitude of trees in the area. She concentrated a lot of chakra, to make the henge look as real as possible.. with swaying branches, lost of leaves, moss growing on the trunk... it imitated the other trees perfectly.

*There was a chill in the air, like the calm before the storm, as Hasu Shutsuga crept forward slowly to the gates of his arena. The quarter-finals were beginning to start, and the boy knew this fight would be a great challenge. His opponent was from the revered Kagirinai Clan, which would have dampened his dimeanor if not for the excitement that was surging throughout his body. Two guards stood tall and firm at the gates leading into the Forest of Tranquility.*
Guard 1: You must be the other one. Hasu Shutsuga is it? Your opponent is already inside. Eat this pill.
*The guard handed Shutsuga a small, brown colored pill which he swalled in one gulp. He suddenly felt a boost of energy, and it felt as if chakra was flowing throughout his body at double the speed.*
Guard 1: That pill gives a temporary boost in chakra. Before you enter, you are completely restricted from using the bunshin jutsu. No exceptions. We will be watching you.
Guard 2: Hurry along now.
*They nodded, tapped their spears on the ground simultaneously, and the doors opened, creaking and groaning. Shutsuga stepped cautiously into the arena.*
*As soon as Shutsuga had one foot in the arena, he reached into his back pocket and withdrew a tiny smoke bomb, encasing it in his hand and out of sight from the naked eye.*
*While normal boys would have been antsy, he suddenly was not. A kind of calmness overtook him, as he very slowly walked throughout the arena, not even making a sound as he crossed the grass. He gave a great leap after a few steps and hopped in a nearby tree, crossing through the arena from branch to branch.*
OOC: PS, the weights from the store are only leg weights, not arm.

Kagirinai Anryoku was still transformed as a tree, observing the surroundings. All was quiet, except for a slight wind that rustled the trees… and the sound of running water…
That was, until she spotted some tree branches moving, but not due to the wind. She spied a boy leaping through the trees. His movements were silent, but the sudden amount of falling leaves gave his trail away. He leapt over the tree was actually a henge’d Anry. If he had stepped on her, the henge would probably have been dispelled… luckily he didn’t though. As he did, Anryoku realized she should chase him, otherwise she may lose him and waste a lot of time.
As silent as the wind, Anryoku released her henge and hopped onto the tree tops, chasing after her opponent. She did her best to keep as silent as possible. As she landed on the branches, she already began performing some seals.
When she is done with the seals, while chasing her opponent, she whispers lightly.
“Hatsugoori Dangan no jutsu”
And with a surge of chakra, she creates a great bolt of crystal in her palms, which she then fires at her opponent! The bolt of ice is roughly the size of a butternut but flies through the air at a dazzling speed, due to the amount of chakra Anry used to fire it! It was only a few seconds after dispelling the henge, that Anryoku had released the bolt of ice. She hoped that he did not somehow detect her… if he had, she hoped that he would not have enough time to react. She continued chasing even after she fired to bolt. If it grazed her opponent, she would be ready to strike another blow. The green environment would also make it hard to see her bolt of ice, seeing that it was green as well. To suddenly turn and to look for a bolt of ice before it hit would be hard… but to detect a blast of ice that blended in with the environment would be near impossible!
In case he did react, Anry readied her hand on her wakizashi’s hilt, while her left hand was ready for the next step of the plan...
When Anry was doing the seals for her Hatsugoori Dangan jutsu, she placed an explosive tag between her hands. When forming the crystal for her jutsu, she trapped the explosive tag in the crystal. She can detonate the explosive tag to destroy the crystal and send shards of ice all over the place.

*The match had been going on for several minutes. Shutsuga kept moving through the tree tops to no avail. He had not spotted his opponent rustling about anywhere near him. Each branch he hit felt the same, and he was becoming slightly agitated. The surprise he had in store for his opponent was still clutched in his hand. With his free right hand, he reached into his right pocket, wrapped an explosive tag around a kunai, and slowly drew it out, clutching it tightly. His hand was barely out when an intense searing pain erupted at his left abdomen.*
Shutsuga: Ack, shit.
*As soon as it had hit, he had let go of the smoke bomb in his left hand which hit the branch he had been standing on. A large puff of white smoke appeared as Shutsuga fell down from the branch, he twisted his body to the right, caught a glimpse of a body standing on top of a branch two trees away, and fired the kunai from his right hand. The kunai hit the branch and set off the explosion as Shutsuga landed in pain on his hands and feet on the ground. He clutched his side and ducked around a tree.*
Shutsuga withdrew 3 shuriken with his right hand from his pouch as he moved around the tree.

Anryoku stood ready, waiting for her opponent’s move… she saw her blast of ice travel… The blast of green ice flickered through the forest, whistling slightly due to the immense speed it was traveling at! As she watched, she kept her left hand ready…
…Until the blast of ice grazed the side of her opponent! It was then, that Anryoku detonated the explosive tag within the ice bolt! (OOC, you can read my last spoiler). Anryoku knew her ice was special. Forming the Hatsugoori Dangan directly created ice from vapor. This way, the explosive tag that she held, while creating the ice blast, was caught in the ice bolt, ready to detonate when she pleased. And the second the bolt had penetrated her opponent’s skin, the second Anry saw his blood, she released the seal on her explosive tag. Also, her ice was far sharper then other ice, meaning that cuts from this ice would hurt even more!
And an explosion followed. An explosion that would blast the ice bolt into shards of sharp crystal that would rip and tear into flesh, wood and whatever else came in its way!
Anryoku stood and watched the display. As she did, she performed her next set of seals…
Anry is performing the seals for her Hatsugoori Toku jutsu

OOC: Ok...here we go.
*After the bolt of ice had grazed his body, after two seconds had passed, an explosion had erupted, sending a small bit of ice into the front of his stomach. His muscles had flexed unconsciously as a reflex, and the small little pieces of ice had not really made a large impact. The bullet had, however.*
*The smoke bomb in Shutsuga's hand fell, hit the branch, and a cloud of smoke puffed up around him. He landed painfully on his feet and spun around to see a girl forming hand seals. The kunai left his hand without him even knowing it, hitting the branch even as she was finishing up her seals. The explosion was set off right beneath her. Shutsuga had jumped and rolled behind a tree, sitting down behind it as soon as the kunai had left his hand. All of this had happened in the span of a few seconds.*
Shutsuga placed his right hand on his abdomen and sent a jolt of electricity into it, setting the atoms in his cells into an excited state, making them work faster

AS her opponent was struck, Anryoku readied her next jutsu. As he was falling, she was done with the seals, then whispered underneath her breath as she swung her right hand to her left wrist…
“Hatsugoori Toku no jutsu!”
As she did, a disk of ice formed in her left hand. It was a large shield, that could cover her abdomen. Using her chakra, she formed sharp edges with her ice, so the sides of the shield could cut her opponent. The shield was also rather thick, so it offered sufficient protection. After creating the shield, Anryoku watched where her opponent was… and then saw the kunai he had launched at her! It was about to strike right beneath her!
Immediately, Anryoku leapt from the branches, using some extra chakra to burst her away from the tree! However, the explosion that came was too fast for the young girl! She was forced to spin around and let the shield face the explosion, so she could protect herself from the blast. However, the blast pounded her back and forced her straight into the river!
As she fell into the river, she used the time to regain her senses… She had caught a huge gasp of air before she fell in the water, so she could stay in the water for a while. She swam close to the surface of the water, on the side where her opponent was. She could leap out easily from this side and would be able to emerge in a flash, if the need arose. So, she lay in wait in the water... though, she could not wait too long, for she could not hold her breath forever... Her left hand still gripped her shield, while her right hand stood ready
Similar to the ice blast, Anryoku placed an explosive tag in her shield, while it was forming. She placed it so its very close to the outer surface of the shield.
Also, she readied chakra in her right hand, for just in case emergencies (if you need to know, she is charging up in case she needs to use Fuyu Misheshime)

*Shutsuga watched his opponent form a shield of ice. The explosion had knocked her in the air. As soon as her feet had left the branch, he rushed north so that instead of being south of his opponent, he was north of her while she was in the air. As she fell toward the river, Shutsuga formed a few quick hand seals.*
Shutsuga: Raikou Dageki no Jutsu.
*Shutsuga encased his right hand with the steel glove in lightning, which gave it double the charge power. He saw his opponent land in the water, and at this point he was five feet north of her. He noticed little ripples of waves, and watched her swim to the side of the river where he was moments ago.*
*As she was swimming, he leaped into the air above her. She kept moving, and did not seem to notice him, only concerned with reaching the other side. He cocked back his right arm, threw it forward, and was an inch away from the top of his opponent's head, which he could clearly see. He was landing fast, and even if she managed to dodge it which would be incredibly hard while in the water, the lightning plus the water conductor would send a massive shock through the water, electrifying her. It would electrify him too, if he was not quick enough.*
Shutsuga also is charging chakra into his feet.

Anryoku was swimming in the water, ready to assault her opponent… until light glimmered in the water. A light aura of yellow light was glistening in the river and illuminated all the water around her… and the light got brighter from above! Anryoku lifted her eyes… and saw a blast of lightning coming from above!! It was with split second reactions, that Anryoku lifted her shield to her head… and lifted it above water!
As she lifted the shield out of the water, her opponent’s hand crashed into her shield. It was out of the water, meaning that the water was not electrified… but the shield cracked as it hit! It was at this time that Anryoku realized she had to do it, though she did not want to do it this early…
Anryoku had pulled the same trick she had done earlier. Earlier, she had placed an explosive tag within the ice bolt she had shot. This time, she had placed an explosive tag inside her shield, as the crystal solidified, catching it in the shield. The wonders of this trick was that her crystal never turned liquid in this process, thus never damaging the explosive tags. She also placed the explosive tag at the outer edge of the shield, due to obvious reasons. And, when her opponent struck her shield, he was basically on top of the shield… Then, with her right hand, she used the chakra for something different… to detonate the explosive tag!
As Anryoku detonated the tag, she forced chakra into the parts of the shield between her and the explosive tag, while flowing less chakra into the part of the shield that lay between the tag and her opponent. With this, the explosion would do little damage to the part of the shield that protected her, while the other part would give way for the explosion to deal great harm to her opponent.
It was the moment that her opponent struck her shield, that she decided to detonate the explosive tag… and it was less then a second later that she detonated it. And the explosion came off strong! The blast propelled Anryoku deep into the river and severely hurt her hand that held onto the shield! But as she reached the bottom of the river, she forced chakra to her feet and launched herself out of the water, with her wakizashi in her one hand. While she was under water, she used extra chakra to add more water onto her shield to repair it!
Soon, Anryoku was launched out of the water and was flying in midair, with a wakizashi in her right hand and an ice shield, glimmering like emerald in her left hand.

*Shutsuga watched his opponent lift up their shield. Amazingly, they moved intensely fast in the water, and brought the shield up above their head. Shutsuga worked quickly to catch his opponent off guard. As his opponent was bringing her shield up, he moved with as much speed as he could muster, grabbing a kunai from the holster attached to his left leg with his left and and throwing it at the shield before falling straight into the water. There was an explosion and he saw his opponent falling deep into the water while he was knocked somewhat to the side. As soon as the explosion was over, he kept his right hand encased in the fist of electricity, being careful not to release it unless he wanted to suffer a shock, and released the chakra in his feet sending himself rushing at immense speed towards his opponent, who had not recovered from the shock yet.*
*His opponent's shield was gone, and she was unaware of his presence. The blast had only happened a few seconds ago. His arm was outstretched, and this time he was sure he would find his mark. His fist was aimed right for the middle of his opponent's torso! He was now mere inches away!*
He has formed a set of seals during the explosion, forming another Raikou Dageki in his left hand.

Anryoku was deep under water… when suddenly, she saw her opponent coming her way! His fist was about to drive right into her!! This was bad and she knew it! She had little time to react. All she could do… was to inch to the side. Her shield in her hand was pretty much non-existent, so her defense was long gone.
So, the fist hit.
The shot of his fist in her ribs was beyond painful! Her blood flowed from her mouth into the water, painting it crimson around her face. His fist twisted in her side, sending pulses of pain through her. Blasts of electricity bolted through her! But… she had to go on, she had to press on! Electricity poured through her entire body!!
“(I… I can’t die here, I can’t lose here! I won’t lose again!! I will win this fight!! And I will win this tournament!!)”
With a sudden surge of determination, Anryoku did two things that happened the second after she was struck by the fist and electrocuted! Luckily the flow of electricity leaked into the water around her, making the shock a little less potent. It should also have shocked her opponent a bit (seeing that he was in the water as well), which would make an opening for her attack. The first thing she did was to use her left hand to grip her opponent’s arm that had just punched into her. This would lock him in this position…
And the second move was one that would probably end the fight. As she released her shield (Still twitching from the shock), she formed a seal she had practiced rather extensively. Despite the immense shock she just took, some drive within her took her to a next level of determination. Some form of instinct had grabbed her and taken over.
And this instinct had caused her to use her Fuyu Miseshime. Immediately she leaked chakra from her right hand into the water, sending tendrils of chakra all around her opponent. It happened in the blink of an eye. Her left hand tightened even more around her opponent’s wrist (partially due to the shock), keeping him in place… And then, she used her chakra tendrils to freeze all the water in a dome around her opponent …
“(Fuyu Miseshime)”
And as she mumbled those words, the circle of water around her opponent froze in a flash, creating one solid ball of ice, with her opponent in the middle, which would freeze her opponent stiff (if he wasn’t already stiff from seeing Anryoku in a wet top). All that would stick out would be the hand that he had used to deal some serious damage to her.
OOC: That’s it. I’m done. Don’t think Anry can do much more.
OOC2: Mild godmod of grabbing his arm was approved by TNA.

*Shutsuga was coming straight at his opponent, his fist dived right for her, and connected, sending an enormous amount of electricity running throughout her body. He noticed her twitch and saw the blood run from her mouth, sending a small portion of guilt running through him for what he was about to do. before he could do anything, though, he cringed as he absorbed some of the shock from his own attack since they were underwater. It was enough of a cringe for his opponent to grab his wrist, which made him react quickly.*
*He grabbed his opponents wrist only a second after she had grabbed his. As he grabbed her wrist, he also opened his left hand and flicked his left wrist, sending the bolt of lightning he had charge earlier straight for her chest. The bolt moved intensly fast, and since he had his opponent's arm locked in place she would not be able to dodge it much, if at all since they were two inches apart. He too, would absorb some of the shock. His entire attack had happened in the span of only two seconds, and at this point he felt he could not continue on. The pain in his left side was beginning to effect him greatly, and he was almost out of oxygen.*
*Something happened then, that he had not forseen. In between the times of his attack, it seemed his opponent had also formed an attack of her own. The water around him was turning to ice slowly.*
OOC: I think that'll be my final attack.
OOC2: Um, I say the judges can judge it now, and I think azure feels the same....so....yea

Alright. Judging is done.
The winner and elligible for the next round is:
Azure Wrath
Grats!!
The figth was really tight. But TNA, it seemed some of your dodge manouevres were too exagerated: Like the one where you changed direction midair.
Sol if you may please pour some light on this.
What's a manouevres? Is that french for maneuvers?"
Edit by Bart
Yes, that's it Nova.
*Pours Some Light on "This"*
As Bartimaeus stated, Azure Wrath has been declared the winner, congrats. But that is not why I am here. I am here to explain why the battle was judged this way. There are really two major reasons this fight was fell out of your reach TNA. The first aspect, was miracle dodges and the second of which was, down playing damage. We will start with the "divine intervention" dodging. In This Post (http://forum.narutochaos.com/showpost.php?p=474713&postcount=19), you are "a mere inch" away from Anryoku head. Yet in This Reaction Post (http://forum.narutochaos.com/showpost.php?p=474746&postcount=21), you are somehow far enough away to pull a Kunai from your pocket and throw it as well as entirely escape the explosion radius of the Explosive Tag. This is entirely impossible for being "a mere inch" away. As for the matter of "down playing damage"... in This Post (http://forum.narutochaos.com/showpost.php?p=474680&postcount=17), you SAY you take a bunch of damage from Anryoku's attack, but your RP says differently. If a person had taken such severe damage that you would have, the person would be noticeably hampered for the rest of the battle. Yet after this post... meh... not even a a brief mention of it later in the battle. You acted, moved and performed techniques as if you had not even taken any damage, almost as if you had dodged the attack entirely. Although your training thread reveals that you are strong in Taijutsu and defense, it is still a relatively big stretch to be able to shrug off THAT much damage. Remember for future fights, that if you take damage, unless it is superficial or healed, it will weigh on you for the rest of the battle. If you dodge something, dodge it. If you take damage, take damage. Just as dodging something suddenly won't become a hit from nowhere, taking a hit doesn't become non existent out of the blue.
On a side note:
Shutsuga placed his right hand on his abdomen and sent a jolt of electricity into it, setting the atoms in his cells into an excited state, making them work faster
Huh!? You send a jolt of energy into your body and your cells work faster and presumably "heal"? Lightning Chakra is not Medical Ninjutsu. Touching a battery to your tongue does not heal your wounds and will not increase your cell's effectiveness. Random jolts of electricity are harmful, not beneficial. To do what you just attempted would require a level of Lighting Chakra mastery and Chakra Control, that is far beyond Sasuke and possibly even Kakashi.
So... thats pretty much it for me...

*The river's calm humming made the place feel peaceful. Combined with the light rustling of millions of leaves and an occasional squirrel running by, the Garden of Eden was not far ahead. Despite his tranquil surroundings, Kaishi's whole body was tensed up, ready for anything. He did not come here to to enjoy the view. He knew that somewhere in the dense cloak of trees and brush, his enemy was approaching. Kneeling down by the sandy riverbank, Kaishi's hand scooped up some of the river water as he drank some of it, still keeping very alert to his whereabouts. The sky was clear, as a constant glimmer caught Kaishi's eyes, while his right hand was clenched tight around something black. As he stood up, a drop of water rolled down his lips and fell on the ground below, creating a giant splash on a miniature scale*
Kaishi : (Let's do this...)
*Kaishi tried to act as calmly as he could, but for some odd reason his entire body was unnoticebly trembling. Like evil spreading over the land, the song of nature began to dissapear, as stillness overtook the midday harmony*
I dunno if i can do this or not, so if not just tell me ...
Before the fight, Kaishi tied 7 feet of wire to two kunai and placed 7 explosive tags 1 ft apart. As he knelt he placed one of the kunai into the ground and is holding the other in his hand ready to throw it

Sol: I give up!
*Throwing his hands in the air, Sol launches a small scroll into the dense foliage above. As the scroll disappears from view, Sol begins to wonder the reason why he trusted this source. Just then, several small birds take off into flight, barely evading the wayward scroll as it fumbles end over end.*
Sol: I can't believe I actually trusted those guys from the Red Sky Organization. "High Priority Target" , "Great Rewards", "Reliable Intelligence" my eye...
*Frustrated by the ineptitude of his information, Sol wandered through the forest, aimlessly trying to find the way he entered. Yet the woods were so dense that it soon became obvious that he was hopelessly lost. Opting for the better vantage point, Sol quickly scampered into the overhead fauna like one of the many forest denizens. The only thing of comfort that kept Sol's spirits high was the sounds of moving water. Yet, because of the numerous trees, all sound was horribly echoed, no single direction could be isolated as a source of the sound. The dappled light that filtered through the canopy was meager to say the least. Horribly deep shadows danced along the ground as if they had a life of their own. Some of which, actually did. All this led to the insecure feeling that worked it's way into Sol's subconscious. When he finally did manage to break through the thick mat of tree leaves, the bright light of mid-day was there to greet him. For several brief moments, Sol simply stood atop the pinnacle branch of the tree, taking in the light. All around him was the sound of silence, an odd sound in place with such a high animal population. Listening closer, Sol could hear the sound of running water much more clearly and it was close, very close. A cool stream with some relaxation would be nice. Below the canopy, the trees kept the heat in like a blanket, greatly increasing the humidity in the air. Above the tree line, there were no obstructions to the sun's blistering furry. As he moved, beads of sweat accumulated on Sol's brow, which were quickly lapped up by the water hungry cloth that held Sol's scared headband in place.*
*At last, Sol had reached the final tree in the line. Below him was the cool water that he had been looking for. Yet something caught his eye, something that made him stop in his tracks. Still stationed atop the tree, Sol glanced down the river bed. About fifteen meters to the east was the figure of a human, meddling with the water. From this distance, Sol couldn't tell if the figure was aware of his presence. Although Sol couldn't imagine that it already didn't, seeing as he didn't try to obscure his movements in the least. A foolish oversight on his part. His restful retreat would have to be postponed. Airing on the side of caution, underneath his cloak Sol secretly thumbed a string of Kunai that were laced around a string at his right hip. All the while, Sol didn't miss a beat on observing the figure's movements. He didn't want to make two silly mistakes within five minutes of each other...*
(1) Flute of Ages
(40) Hari
(30) Kunai
(2) Metsubishi
(1) Forearm Blade (Right Arm Equipped)
(1) Hari Launcher (Left Arm Equipped)
(1) Canteen
(5yrds) Shinobi Wire
As Sol thumbed the Kunai, he attached a single Seishou Fusen to ever other throwing knife. Meaning that of the 10 Kunai on this string, there are 5 containing a Seishou Fusen.

*Fuujin began to recall his mighty winds as the trees ceased to sway gently, coming to a complete stop. Only the monotonously rich melody of the river filled Kaishi's ears as something in his hand and alongside his leg glistened in the still sunlight. Suddenly a quite loud, almost carelessly made noise pierced Kaishi's ear. Turning swiftly toward the direction of the noise, Kaishi noticed a dark figure standing atop one of the oaks lining the river bank. He could not make out the gloomy figure, but the cold, chilly air instantly gashing his bones told him everything he needed to know. Chakra began to warm Kaishi's arms and legs as he turned to face the person. His right fist cluched even tighter as his left hand was playing at his side*
Kaishi took out a metsubishi with his left hand, ready to blow it and make an escape if necessary
*Sol's silver eyes glared mercilessly at the figure down the way. As he watched, the figure shifted it's posture to one of a more battle ready stance. Obviously, he was well aware of Sol's presence, eliminating any element of surprise Sol would have liked. Yet there was something discomforting about the way the person was holding it's hands. That combined with the way the person had decided to decorate it's form, told Sol that his foe was definetly a shinobi. His preparedness would not have gone to waste. Still, Sol didn't have the necessary provocation to start anything... yet. Without a word, Sol bent forward, causing the tree to dip and sway as Sol fell head first into the open ground! In an instant, Sol pivoted from his core, flipping head over heels just in time to land against the loamy sand bank near the river's edge. A small plume of dust and sand kicked into the air as the rounin effortlessly landed from his fall.*
*As if the fall didn't even break his stride, Sol walked to the water edge and pulled the small canteen from his pack under his cloak. Still his eyes were fixed on his foe, looking for any sign of aggression or hesitation that would betray it's intention. As he looked on, Sol uncorked the canteen, dipping it in the waters until it no more bubbles of air leaked to the surface. With a flick, Sol re-corked the liquid holder with his left hand, the same that he was holding the object with. Still watching the man upstream, Sol hooked the canteen to a notch at his left hip.*
Sol: (I wonder if this one intends to hold his ground... or flee...)
*With an demeanor that could chill ice, Sol strolled up the bank of the river until he reached firm soil. Continuing his nonchalant pace, Sol strolled north along the far side of the bank. Carefully eying his target on the opposite side of the river while making sure to keep his hands concealed under his cloak as he had since his earlier fall...*
Keeping his hands under his cloak, Sol loosely gripped a Seishou Fusen infused Kunai in his right hand. While inserting individual hari into the grooves between the fingers of his left, until he had three.

*As the figure dropped down from the tree, flipping in mid air like a skilled acrobat, Kaishi knew that he was not dealing with a regular genin. Keeping his hands and feet warm, Kaishi didn't let the person out of his sights*
Kaishi : (What is he doing..)
*Kaishi's face became puzzled a bit as the dark figure gently scooped up some water into a canteen and placed it at his waist. Kaishi's legs took on a wider stance as the distance between the two began to shrink. Kaishi was ready for anything*
Just teasin Sol :p
*All was still along the river as Sol made his way up towards the North-East. As he walked, Sol took note of his foe shifting in place. Either he was preparing for an attack, or he was being unnerved. Both situation's played into Sol's hand. However, something was amiss and Sol couldn't figure it out. Still in any case, foe or not, this boy needed to be investigated properly. Eventually, Sol was directly across the river from the boy.*
*The waters sloshed between the two figures at a decently high rate of speed. If one went for a swim, there was no doubt that they would be taken for a ride. Some trees seemed to have found a measure of footing in the rapidly churning waters. One stood out in the river like a tall spike five feet to the North-East of the two, directly in the center of the river. This blocked the water's effortless flow, tossing a fine coating of mist into the surroundings as water swirled around the hardened trunk of the tree itself. Still, the river was no rapids and would not be too difficult to navigate, if one knew how to properly that is.*
Sol: (This one's interesting... However he seems to be shifting uneasily...)
*Suddenly, a flash of movement flung the right side of Sol's cloak over his shoulder! Over the duration of an eye blink, Sol's right hand flashed from his hip, up to over his left shoulder. As he looked on, a wicked smile twisted along Sol's face...*
Sol didn't throw anything. He is just faking to see if Kaishi will react and to possibly provoke Kaishi into making the first move...

*Kaishi kept an open eye on his surroundings, in case the figure had a sneak attack planned. The two were standing opposite each other now. The endless river was the only thing separating the two now. With around 10 to 12 meters between the two, Kaishi kept a watchful eye on a tree trunk sticking out of the water almost near the opposite side of the shore. The tree was a good 3 or 4 feet to Kaishi's left. Being as alert as ever, Kaishi's muscles tensed up as the figure's cape flutterd at the motion of it's right hand lifting up and over it's left shoulder*
Kaishi : Wait wait wait wait wait !!!!
*Kaishi screamed out while extending his left fist forward toward the figure*
Kaishi : Who the heck are you?
*Kaishi's question was sincere and not aimed to offend the person, but he was still as alert as ever even though his body didnt show it*
OoC : BWAHAHA Naruto style fight FTW
*Still holding his hand over his across his body, Sol's wicked grin began to fill out. Upon seeing the boy's reaction, Sol's smile slowly it became something a bit more human like. Relaxing his heavily bandaged right arm back to his side, Sol took a single step forward, placing his foot upon the surface of the water itself. As he did, several small ripples shot out from the point of impact, but where quickly swallowed up by the under current. Yet the water did not swallow the rounin's foot, even when the full weight of his body was placed atop the water's skin. With an audacious lack of care or concern, Sol payed no further attention to the water below his feet as he placed one foot in front of the other, fluidly striding across the water like a stray leaf.*
Sol: (Hmm... He's not that jumpy... good head on his shoulders...)
*Upon reaching the center of the river, Sol sprang into action. In the blink of an eye, the shinobi lept high into the air. Leaving only a set of ripples where his feet last stood and a few stubborn droplets of water that were not able to hang on for the ride. Flipping high into the sky, Sol could see that his opponent was tracking the sudden movement. Yet, as Sol crossed directly over the body, the boy placed his outstretched hand over his face, probably to shield his eyes from the glaring sun at Sol's back. With the last of Sol's momentum used up, Sol dropped to the earth like a stone! Yet when he landed, the resonate sound from the earth under his feet was but a whisper of what it could have been. Crouched to absorb the impact of the fall, Sol rose to his feet as menacingly as if he were spawned from the very ground itself. Upon reaching his full height, Sol fixed his gray pupils forward, staring off into the dense tree line only a few feet away. The two shinobi stood back to back, mere inches apart as a chilling breeze passed, flicking the right side of Sol's cloak over his shoulder, exposing the right side of his moderately built frame.*
Sol: That is none of your business...
*As the words slipped past Sol's lips they took with them a tone that had a touch of threatening, he threw his right elbow in a wide arc around his body towards the young boy behind him. As it gained momentum, the razor sharp edge of Sol's Elbow Blade bounced glimmers of the noon sun in all directions...*

*The figure began to walk on water !!!! Was this Gaara?? No, Gaara was the master of sand, but he could surely walk on water seeing as he was a shinobi. But that was the least of Kaishi's worries. The man was now standing in the middle of the river when suddenly he leapt up and forward high into the air. But Kaishi was ready and without the slightest flinch, he tossed his kunai straight up into the air over his head. As soon as he threw the kunai up, he strafed to his left at quite fast speed, seeing as how chakra was already plenty in his legs. Covering about one or two meters, the sun shone in his eyes but the dark outline of the figure could still be made out as the kunai rose over his head. A shiny wire with a few dull parts followed the kunai as Kaishi made a seal with his right hand*
SFX : BOOOOOOOM
*The seven explosive tags, only inches away from the figure, detonated. Sending shock blasts in all directions, Kaishi could feel the pressure on his chest and stomach but without thinking he tossed the object in his hand toward the place he was standig. Pepper powder and metal shavings created a cloud of a blinding mix that the figure was surely to land into*
*As Kaishi threw the metsubishi, he quickly took out a kunai with his left hand and placed his right hand on the hilt of his wakiashi. Ready for anything, chakra began circulating into his arms and legs once more*
OoC : DIEEEEEEEEEE
An explosive tag on the kunai
Just yanking ur chain :D
*As Sol reached the apex of his leap, he saw his opponent rapidly shift positions. In an instant the boy had released the object held in his hand, a single black kunai hurdled up towards Sol. The boy was just playing sweet and innocent the whole time. Not that it really mattered to Sol either way. He had planed on getting rid of the kid anyway, this just made it all the sweeter.*
Sol: (Hasty little brat... he should learn some manners...)
*Yet something was amiss. Despite being an easy target for even a novice marksman, the boy's kunai was at a strange angle. There was no way the strike would hit Sol, even if he was tied and held in the air! In addition, the boy was busy rolling to his left. There were no second attacks to catch Sol off guard. However, the picture suddenly became clear as Sol noticed the trailing edge of the kunai was begining to shower crimson and yellow sparks! It could only mean one thing.*
Sol: Tch... (An Explosive Tag... how quaint...)
*Like a snapping turtle, Sol reached out with his right hand, catching the flying Kunai by the hilt as it whizzed by. As he did, light glittered off of something trailing along with the kunai. A lone wire looped around the small hole at the back of the throwing knife trailed all the way back to the ground and into the young man's hand. However, a strong sensation in his right hand forced Sol to pay attention to it and nothing else. Loosely holding the knife in his hand to inspect it further, Sol found the thing absolutely ablaze with tag sparks! Sol had witnessed explosive tags being used before, never had they thrown this many embers into the air. It soon became obvious to Sol the exact reason why, beneath the first tag was another! And another. Then another! They just kept appearing one under the other. It was incredible how many tags the boy had stacked onto this single knife!*
*Sol realized that the first tag had almost reached it's limit! Soon the small paper roll would erupt into a explosion that would most certainly knock out even the most stalwart of men. However, with the amount stacked on this attack... it would surely blow any person into shrapnel! As the last inch of the tag began to be consumed by the flames, Sol clenched down on the knife roll with his hand. Sol was exerting so much force on the knife that his own hand was shaking under the strain. All the while, the pads of his hands screamed out in pain as the licking flames danced across his skin. It was a dynamic moment as Sol waited for the outcome. Yet as Sol was all but ready to accept his failure, a reassuring plume of smoke rose from between his fingers. Signaling that he had squelched the flames before they could trigger the tag's explosive might.*
*By this time Sol had already neared the ground. As he glanced down to find a good way to land, Sol saw a large cloud of brown and silver haze showering the location where he was to touch down! It was to late, Sol had fallen to close to the ground to change his course now. Throwing his head back and his shoulders forward, Sol crashed against the ground at a steep angle, closing his eyes in anticipation of the pain. As his shoulder blades struck the hardened soil, Sol's angle diverted the impact's energy forward, throwing Sol into a roll. Tumbling head over heels a few times until finally slowing enough, Sol rolled nearly 3 meters away from his original landing position! Propping himself back to his feet, Sol was welcomed by the eye burning sting of pepper oil. Flying through that cloud had completely soaked Sol's clothing in the stuff! As his eyes began to water to expel the noxious vapors, Sol turned back around to face his opponent. Although the two were now on the same side of the creek, the distance between them was not really any different as the two stood on opposite sides of the Metsubishi cloud.*
Sol: Kid... you just made it onto my crap list...
*Holding up the kunai that he had stolen mid flight, Sol held the cutting portion of the blade outwards, as if to poke the distant Kaishi with it's tip...*

*Sliding to a dusty stop, Kaishi launched the metsubishi toward its destination. But something seemed out of place, there was no BANG. The opponent should have been blown to bits by now, but it seems like he somehow managed to stop the tags from going off. No worry, for Kaishi's mind was not set on these nuisances but more on staying alive. As the person extended something toward Kaishi and was beginning to drop down toward the ground Kaishi's hands let go of their respective object in one fluent motion and he performed a set of seals quite hastily. With all the chakra already circulating in his legs and arms, a mighty gust blew out from beneath Kaishi. No he did not fart. It was the sign of a resolve. A resolve so mighty and so powerful, that not even the most cunning of villians could withstand it. As he finished the seals and the figure was sailing downward, Kaishi shot towards him with blinding speed ! Only a smoke of dust was seen as only a streak of brown and grey lines could be seen appearing next to the figure. Kaishi's wakizashi flickered in the sunlight as the glowing blade was mere inches away from the person's abdomen. If by any chance Kaishi would miss... he was ready to pull out a kunai with his left hand and fling it at the falling prey*
OoC : As u can see i used quite a bit of chakra for this move... so it was very fast to say the least. Also, it took you five seconds (like u stated urself) to put out the tags or w/e.. thats more than enough time for me to form a seal and slice u in half... also, i pulled out my wakizashi in mid air since by that time i was just relying on inertia
*As Sol began to raise his arm to issue his mildly aggressive threat, the pain all around him began to come to fruition. The singeing of his right palm was beginning the turn red and sting greatly. His hand will be raw for weeks. It was an irritating notion, especially considering that it was his "good" hand. Sol even was finding it difficult to see as the pepper oil that stained his clothes was releasing vapors that caused the tears to flow freely. Already two of his "pieces" were in check and Sol hadn't even really done that much to the boy. Sol found himself almost admiring the kids ferocity and tenacity. His foes attacks were swift and cunning, especially for his skill.*
Sol: (He almost reminds me of myself when I was his age...)
*However, something interrupted his reminiscing. Although his eyes were blurred from the stain of his own tears, Sol could tell something was wrong. The cloud of powder that remained from the young boy's attack had already faded, yet the boy's own outline was nowhere to be seen! It was at that very moment, that a loud noise caught Sol attention. To his right, the boy had magically appeared! Although it was a tremendous display of speed and agility, it was more menacing in intention then any show of power. Although his vision was still blurred by his own tears, the piercing light that shimmered like a blade, bore through the cloud like a spot light! However, Sol found himself with nothing he could do. The attack was too quick and too close for Sol to even react with anything more then a turn of his head. This time... it was over... Then a huge force struck Sol's elbow, forcing it back into Sol's hip at tremendous speed! The two bones clanked together like plastic toys, radiating agonizing pain up and down both body parts. Out of sheer knee jerk reaction, rather then any intentional act on his part, Sol leaned over to his right and was torn off his feet by the inertia of the tremendous blow! The next few moments were all a blur, the only thing Sol could tell from his perspective was toppling end over end along the ground. With his right hip and elbow throbbing in pain from the impact, Sol found it difficult to control his spinning body and tell it to stand. However, Sol found it much easier to gain a foothold as his momentum came to abrupt end, thanks to a thick tree trunk. Even striking the tree trunk was painful, only adding to the static noise that completely flooded Sol's senses.*
*Yet pain was something Sol was used to. When Sol focused on it, the pain was trivial to his prior experiences. Being tossed down a sheer cliff, surrounded by furnace temperature light, many such situations came into Sol's mind. All of which, made the burns and bruises this time around seem like a baby boo boo. With a loud groan, Sol rose to his feet, ready to dish out some pay back. Cross with is situation, Sol resolved himself not to let the kid off easy as he was planning. Flicking his right wrist so that his elbow blade would extend forward, Sol was only greeted by a rusted rattling noise from the device attached to his arm. A quick glance over, showed that the mechanism that allowed the blade to pivot was greatly damaged. Even the blade itself was in rough shape as three quarters down it's length was a large gash, almost half of the way through the entire weapon! It was at that moment that it became clear what happened. The boy's movement was beyond sight, even his own. Attacking from to the opponent's side and rear were usually good choices, however he just chose the wrong side. If he had but waited a second longer, Sol's right side abdomen would have been completely exposed to the attack. However, with his arm not raised in the taunt that Sol wanted, it inadvertently saved his life. The Elbow Blade that was strapped to his wrist and extended past his elbow was stationary and completely received the boy's attack. Normally a stationary blade would not be such a good defense, but the boy's attack was so fast that he couldn't aim properly.*
*Sol was already ticked off at his situation, and the breaking of his Elbow Blade only added to his rage. With a low growl, Sol kept the blade in it's standard position, forgoing the more stream lined assassination formation because the mechanism was out of commission. Still, Sol couldn't help but laugh at his opponents oversights. Perhaps Sol had under-estimated what the boy was truly capable of...*
Sol: Your definetly asking for it kid...
OoC: You never said which side you were attacking from... so it's mine to take as I choose. If you didn't understand that (my writing is a little messy tonight... IDK why...), here is a simplified version:
Sol Lands and Stands Up
Kaishi Charges and Strikes at Sol's Abdomine
Since Kaishi Came in Before Sol even pointed, This Means Sol's Arm is Still at Least Partially at His Side.
As Such, Your Blade Strikes My Blade (because my blade lays flat against the outside of my arm)
My Elbow strikes my Hip, I go tumbling over
I Stand Up and Make Another Threat

SFX : Clank, Thob, BAM !
*Kaishi's arms throbbed from the impact and his muscles stiffened as his sword made contact with a metal object. A loud "clank" filled the surrounding area. Bouncing off the nearby trees and quickly being negated by the river's hum, Kaishi knew that no human flesh would make such a cacophony. But luckily he already had a plan in case he missed and without further though he reached down to his hip and turning his left shoulder Kaishi flung the kunai at the tumbling and non-suspecting shinobi. He threw the kunai a bit in front of the figure, so that the kunai will hit the ground right in front of the shinobi. As the kunai pierced the noon air and dug itself into the fertile soil, the figure was about to roll over it with his entire weight*
Kaishi : *Kaishi formed a seal with his left hand* Kai !!
SFX : BOOOM
*The tag went off just as the poor shinobi was going to roll over it. The blast would definitely do some damage, Kaishi was sure of it. But he was not done. As he threw the kunai, Kaishi felt the wind picking up from behind and he knew he had to take this to his advantage. As the kunai was thrown, Kaishi extended his hands towards the figure and a strong wind blew from Kaishi's direction and toward the kunai's destination*
*As the tag began to go off and the mighty wind blew across the area, a crazed look took hold of Kaishi's face. His right hand tightened around his wakizashi grip and chakra flowed into his legs*
*Sol rebounded off the ground after the blow, Sol found himself in a haze of tears and dirt. Landing face down on his chest, the small metal clip that held Sol's cloak in place snapped at the hinges, breaking under Sol's weight. As his kinetic energy transfered Sol into another barrel roll, the once securely fastened cloth flew loose into the air! As the burden was lifted off of Sol's shoulders, something caught his water laden eyes as his vision was shifted up to the sky. Besides the large glare of the bright sun overhead, a swiftly traveling object glistened in the noon sun! Even before Sol had finished his rotation along the ground, the object vanished from his view, barely a hair's breadth away from Sol's head! With his head turning over into the dark soil beneath, Sol caught only a glimpse of the flying object, but it was enough to know exactly what it was. Not only was his own belt littered with the black objects, but Sol even had the weapon used against him by his foe!*
Sol: (More Kunai...)
*Yet the flying knife missed Sol, even if it was by a small birth. His instincts led him to one conclusion, the same as was used against him just moments ago.*
Sol: (All the kid does is use those stupid tags...)
*The pain from the bruise on Sol's hip made it a struggle to pull himself up, especially while in rotation. However, his situation made it perilous to just not do anything. Pushing past the discomfort, Sol thrust his left elbow into the earth as he flipped onto his stomach. The anchor instantly twisted Sol's momentum into something more manageable. As his body kicked into the air from the sudden change in force, Sol twisted his body over so that he was facing the location where he started his roll. Coming down with only his left leg, Sol felt a stiff object strike the center of his outstretched foot. Yet the object provided little resistance under the full weight of Sol's form. The small kunai the boy had thrown was quite literally underfoot. And in the soft soil, Sol's weight drove the small object deep into the soil, leaving only a small portion of the loop visible from the surface.*
*Already Sol's vision became eased as the pepper soaked cloak was now distant from his senses. It became clear that his opponent had not moved since throwing the weapon, a perfect situation. Still on one leg, Sol surged forward, crouching down to nearly half his natural stature to reduce wind resistance. Although his right hip sent out a sharp complaint as his right foot struck the ground, Sol tossed the the notion out of his head. He had to cross enough ground, without covering too much in a short period of time.*
???: Kai...
*Suddenly the ground several paces back, where the kunai was drilled into the ground bubbled with intense ferocity! All at once the soft earth exploded in a huge upheaval, throwing black dirt and pieces of grass into the atmosphere! With a smile, Sol knew he pulled the maneuver off correctly. Throwing his hands up into a single focusing seal, Sol continued his forward charge as the wave of concussive force from the explosion enveloped his back. Condensed by the surrounding soil and distance between Sol and ground zero, the explosion did not nearly enough harm as it aided the rounin. In an instant Sol was thrust forward by the explosive wave, crossing ground at a staggering pace! Even before the boy had dropped his hand from creating his seal, Sol was already breathing down his throat, with his gleaming elbow blade firmly latched against his arm. All it took was a relatively small arm wave to place the deadly serrated edge of his weapon in line to decapitate the boy...*
OoC: You never stated where the explosive tag was located, so I am going to assume that it was placed in the standard way, wrapped around the handle.
Sol's hand seal was for a Kawarimi. The subject was his wayward cloak, which by this point is resting on the ground, five yards behind and to the right of Sol.

*As Kaishi detonated the tag, he saw his opponent evade the explosion and instead be propelled toward Kaishi himself !!!! The figure was moving devilishly fast and was about to land a stab on Kaishi as his hands in seal began to shift toward Kaishi's left side of the neck! What his opponent did not know is that Kaishi's weights were off, in fact they had been off for quite a while now. With his weights off, his sword movement was not super fast, but fast enough to make a difference. As the shiny blade was nearing Kaishi, out of pure instinct, he bend his knees and with shifted his right wrist to the lift, so that the tip of his wakizashi was now facing the opponent but at a 45 degree angle from Kaishi's body, but pointing up at the victim's mid section. So the sword would not pierce the victim directly, but impale his side and slice him across. Definitely a more vital attack*
*As Kaishi knelt and shifted his sword he felt a trickle of blood flowing down the side of his face as the opponent's blade sliced Kaishi's forehead. But that did not stop Kaishi from reaching out with his left hand in an attempt to grab the figure's foot, and if not the foot then definitely the fluttering cape*
OoC : Ok so basically i just knelt down and pointed my sword at your midsection... LOGICALLY you should run into the sword and die but either way.. thats the way the cooki crumbles
*A grim look of satisfaction washed over Sol's face, seeing his efforts were not in vain. His opponent was quick and had a strong resolve. The chance of the boy abandoning his position just to avoid a single attack was unlikely to say the least. Sol watched as his target bent down low, thrusting out his small weapon forward to catch Sol right in his abdominal. Yet his attack was not a head on strike to skewer Sol like a kabob. Although not ideal, Sol knew there was always some amount of wiggle room in every plan, this small change in schedule was not beyond reason. Still clasped in his focusing seal yet off to Sol's left, Sol's hands held firm as his glistening elbow blade was about to strike at the boy's brow. However, the boy's weapon was extended further then Sol's weapon, meaning that Sol felt the pressure of the boy's weapon long before Sol's blade even grazed his forehead.*
*In an instant, Sol's form had slid down the length of the boy's weapon! Yet despite it all, Sol only wore a dark smile on his face. Suddenly Sol's bloodied body vanished in a shower of silver smoke! Even before the smoke cleared a billowing shape extinguished all the light from the boy's eyes. He was now in complete darkness as Sol's wayward cloak overcame the boy's body, held tightly in place by the cut mark made by the boy's own sword! A heart beat later the air carried a evil howl as if cut by a thousand daggers...*
*As Sol's Kawarimi with his own cloak had ended, Sol found himself several meters away from the ensnared boy. Throwing his hand to his side, Sol swiftly pulled the loop of Kunai at his right hip off it's link. In a single fluid motion, Sol whiped the wire string around his body, tossing all ten of the kunai in a wide spray around the boy. So wide was the scatter that if the boy stood still it would be impossible for all ten to hit. Yet it would be just as un-likely that if he moved, he would not be struck by at least a few of the black knives. What was worse, hidden among the cloud of it's breathen were the kunai laced with Seishou Fusen...*
OoC: You can go look at my last spoiler DC, there I explain what the hand seal was for. And if you are confused about when I got separated from my cloak, it was back, near the begining of my last post. If you look carefully I lost it because as I rolled the clasp holding it in place broke, causing it to fly off while I continued to rotate...

*A mysterious smile stood still on Kaishi's face as his opponent was nearing the point of no return. The moment had turned into frozen syrup oozing out of a bottle neck. The slowly moving surroundings could only look so real as the eyes hid the truth from the bearer himself. The figure had dissapeared from view, only to be replaced by a dark cloak cutting off all life from Kaishi. Engulfing him in a wave of muddy fabric. It's very atoms laughed at Kaishi for his sheer idiocity and cockiness. The good guys never win, for evil has control of the shadows of the day, and the darkness of the night. Nothing was left of Kaishi's humanity as animal instinct took over his very soul. Food and Shelter and Danger were the only feelings he knew, and danger was creeping into the core of his existence*
*Instinct, it guides our very actions in time of danger, in time of hope. In time of desperation. There was nothing Kaishi could do but protect himself. In a move of desperation and fear, pulled grabbed the cape with his left arm and began to pull it off when his first freed eye noticed the sky turn dark as the Persian arrows blocked out the sun. In time of desperation, we discover powers we never thought we had. Turning his body so that the Gourd faced the oncoming barrage, Kaishi could only bring his knees to his chest and duck his head as his chakra began to harden the very sad Gourd and sand within. He didnt know what was coming, but whatever it was, it could mean his end*
OoC : Great stuff... not much i can do and im low on chakra so lets end it here yeah... go ahead and make ur last post and what not (if u wanna) and submit it
OoC: Aw that's disappointing... I wanted this fight to go on so we could make this a really cool back and forth counter and be countered battle. Oh well, thats how the cookie crumbles. It was a blast to rp with ya DC... perhaps we can do it again, later down the road. Maybe I won't take up to much time with each post at that point...
XD
There is no need to post a reply. You put it very well... probably better then I would have. Drawing out this attack to the end would just make me come off like dick. Again good fun, wished it could have been longer, but there is always chance for a sequel! :P
Since Azure and Pap have staked their claims on this fight, I am sending my pm to them after I am done with this. That is when I will submit the fight. If you haven't already, when you get on I suggest you do the same. Peace man...

Ok sorry the judging took so long but here are the results and situations of such.
DC's string and kunai-
If the wire was 7 feet long, it means that the tag started at ~6" from each kunai and at every foot. DC actually performed the counter time mod near perfectly as he saw Sol jump towards him, threw the kunai straight up and ran off (would equate to about the same time as sol landing). The only issue I have is that the kunai should of struck Sol, or got tangled up with the wire, as he was over the source location. But let's say by some chance it's missed Sol and he landed. If the first kunai is still in the ground and the second went up meaning the wire is stretching between 1 and 7 feet. Easily having ~5 tags on sol's body height as he stands up where DC detonates it.
Sol's counter:
He grabbed the kunai and since DC did not say evenly spaced along the wire at 1 foot apart, let's just assume that Sol did grab 1 tag. He still has the 6 other tags exploding thus causing some decent damage.
Also on the response post he even gave time for the tag to explode (while they should of been instantly), thus he changed DC's post around loosing points in my view. The metsubishi would of missed completely when factoring in that the tags would of sent sol flying backwards and even in his post DC had the metsubishi traveling post explosion.
DC’s Shunshin attack:
Shunshin abuse. While yes it is possible to draw your wakizashi mid teleport, it has been stated that a pure shunshin attack is abuse. Now if he shunshined behind sol, drew his weapon and attacked after finishing his shunshin then that is legal. But the fact DC should not be able to draw out his waki in under 1/10th of a second meaning he would either had to pull it out before shunshin or abuse it.
Sol’s Response
With the abuse on hand, Sol did probably the only thing he could do an iffy hit. While he took the hit and didn’t do some miracle dodge that I like it for and even if the block was iffy it still was reasonable due to the way the posts were worded (even though I do feel his arm would be partly severed)
Rolling sol and kunai attack
Ok look at how sol is going at a direct angle from DC. Yet somehow DC is able to throw a kunai in front of Sol? I mean he could but it would be nowhere near Sol for him to roll on it. Now if he said it hit the tree then it’s understandable or if he jumped. And this is WHY I want to change the fighting rules
Sol’s Response
He changed his action in which he hit the tree. Technically abusing what his character has done. Even though in the new rules this would be legal, this fight wasn’t under the new rules. His counter attack would of technically never happened as sol would still been rolling towards the tree to land on the kunai and have a note explode on him. Meaning he is no longer charging at DC (This post is a bad bad example of a counter time-mod. He counter time modded himself without even paying true attention to DC’s post).
DC’s defensive post
Nothing to really complain. His hand was on the hilt previously so pointing it would not be an issue. He could of done much much worst considering the circumstances.
Sol’s Attack
I feel the spoiler should have been posted. As once the cloak hit the sword DC has the choice of just dropping the sword and now seeing Sol hurling the kunai.
DC’s Defense
Well he read the spoiler, quite easy to see that. It is the final post of the fight and while timing is an issue oh well. Eventhough it was felt by the judges that the fight was ended before Sol could do damage and/or DC messed up more.
Lazy man summary:
DC – Jutsu abuse and questionary throwing of kunai
Sol – Explosive note issue that could of possibly ended the fight on that one move, the counter time mod of his own post to dodge another possible fight ending move that would of prevent the attack from ever reaching DC in the end.
In the end, the judges felt it was a draw as neither person deserved the win. While yes, DC should of possibly ended the fight earlier with the string of tags on kunai trick, the fight went on to lead to DC's huge abuse [it has been posted that a shunshin attack is not allowed, while performing a shunshin THEN attacking is. So long as there is time for reaction.]
Payouts/XP results:
Sol: 75$ 2XP
DC: 150$ 2XP
Reason for odd/uneven payouts is due to the way prizes are awarded. 150 for beating someone 1 rank lower, 300 for beating 1 rank higher. Thus you get your middle payout each)
