So... some of you may know, but everyone's NC doctor (myself) went away for two weeks. I am back now, however, and i am creating this thread to tell those who are interested about the journey. long and strenuous it was, but it was good fun... soo... lets start the journey!

The journey began on Saturday the 30th of june.
From cape town (in south africa) we drove up to a place called Kammieskroon. It's about 500-600km away from cape town and was the first of many drives to come. Check out the faithful map if you wanna see the route (its hard to find it.. follow the N7 north.. you will find it soon enough.
We spent the night there that night. A little cozy hotel, good food, a small bar. Had some drinks there, but we had a local there that night who was utterly smashed... an old man who kept wanting to buy me drinks... phokker. he was soon locked out of the bar. Lol. We met up with the other family we went with... my dad's one friend and his two kids (both 15, twins, one boy and one girl). So we chilled out and got an early night.
Sunday, 1st July
This day, we drove from Kammieskroon to the border of namibia. there we went through customs and all that shit and then drove all the way up to a place called Aus. After the border, i drove. it was a long drive. We stopped along the river at one stage to picnic. We met this frenchman who has driven (or is busy) his bicycle from france to cape town. He; been busy for 8 months. Its insane. We continued our journy to Aus (check the namib ma from Noordoewer till Aus... but there was a shorter route, not shown on the map.
Anyway, we got there and it was tit cold... at 5pm... we set up camp and explored the area... i went hiking up a small mountain and checked the view. Got back down and ate some dinner.. and the wind came up. dear merciful jesus, it was cold that night. when we slept, our tent was close to collapsing... painful...
Monday, 2nd.
We left Aus, happy to get away from the place of painfulyl cold wind. We travelled up to the first REAl destination, a camp in the Tsauchab river (on the map, it is between Sesriem and Solitaire. We stayed there for 3 nights. lots of photo's, cool drives, a hot lady who worked there, a long drop and a night where i popped my matress (probably cos i drank too much). It was good fun there, but nothing major happend there, no stories to tell.. except i wetn photo crazy! :D
We left on the 5th
Thursday, 5th
This day (one day before mah bday!) we left Tsauchab and went up to Swakopmund. On the way, we stopped at solitaire, a town that is smaller then its own dot on the map. A petrol station, a shop and a sad excuse for a church. thats it. cool palce though. Anyways, soon we get ot our hotel in swakopmund. There, for the first time since kammieskroon, we can sleep in a propper bed and have a propper shower. we abused that fact. That night we went out to a fancy restaurant and celibrated my birthday... the girl who came with us organised me a shot i didnt see coming.. in the largest shot glass i have ever seen... in the end, i found out it had kahlua, pepermint liquer and amarula in it... and it was alight when i got it... good fun. My fart smelled like peppermint coffee afterwards.... We ate and slept
Friday, 6th July (WOOT WOOT)
My birthday! yay! and how did i spend it? Why, by driving for 6 hours of coursE!! woo hoo! whoop-de-fucking-doo! lol.. anywaym soon we reached our next place, jsut before khorixas, called Palmwag (not on the map, khorixas is though). This place was very purty. our campsite was stunning (photo's later) and was right next to a dried up river, where elephants paraded. there was a bar, where i polished the vodka, as well as a pool where i went skinny dipping one night. We spent another 3 nights there, which was awesome.. you could see the heavens there, it was so quiet. we went on game drives there, didnt see much though, but we went to this one water hole, borrowed in a cliff... the drop fro mthe cliff to the water was about 30m... i was determined to take the leap, but eventually my dad kinda threatened me and said if i do, he will kill me.
So, we stayed there for 3 nights and left there on the 9th, a monday. the previous night, i didnt sleep (couldnt) and picked up a viscous cold. bleh
Monday, the 9th.
We left this dasy to a cheetah farm, about an hour away from palmwag, somewhere between khorixas and kamanjab. I was SO sick, i got away from setting up the tent
the others went to go feed the tame cheetahs, while i slept. soon, i awoke, and felt much better (but still kak) and they came back, having a break before they go feed the... not so tame cheetahs. This time i joined. there was an american with us, from pensilvanie. who spent all the trip talkign about facebook and looking away from the cheetas. lol. anwyay, the cheetahs were damn cool, though i nearly fell out of the truck. lol
We slept that night after some good food (WARTHOG!!)
Tuesday, the 10th
This day, we left to our final destination, the Game Park, called Etosha. In there, we slept in Halali, a wonderful campsite, with a watering hole about 200meters from our camp. We spent three ngiths there, going on game drives, watching animals and chilling. i used this time to finally finish my book and to have a fierce battle with my new ultimate nemisis, a badger.
Yup
I got in a fight with a badger. it was hilarious. It rummaged our trashcan the one night... so noone could sleep... the next day, i got myself a big stick, called the Staff of Justice. Then, that night (i had a bit too much to drink) the badger showed up again, in our trash. So i equiped mysefl with the staff of justice and a flashlight and ran to the shit and started my warcry!
the badger leapt back from the trash, in defence and made a hiss/growl sound that could put most men straight to their graves... but i stood strong. I took a whack at tis side, but it did litte, but aggrivate the badger... so, it charged me and i dodged (thank god)... then, i used my flashlight to try and induce some epilepsy upon the badger...by constantly flicker the light over its eyes... it seems to have worked, as the badger was slowed down... then, i took the swing of a lifetime... and fucking clobered it over its head with a Tiger woods gholfshot that cracked the stick in half. The badger survived and scurried away!
Victory!
Level up!
Lol
anyway, we stayed there further, untill friday, the 13th (V_V) when we drove back
Friday, 13th

otjiwarongo
windhoek
mariental
keetmanshoop
grunau
