Konohamaru looks down at the student, calmly assessing Kenta, trying to find something else behind his resolve.

Konohamaru: Another one like this eh? Well, I can't fault him for that. It is an excellent dream...

Konohamaru: "Very well, if that is the case, we shall begin with your studies. Your first task is to read this scroll."

With that, the instructor hands Kento a small scroll to examine.

Godmodding and General Battle Rules:
Godmodding is when you take control of another RP’er’s character and make them do something that the RP’er would disapprove. For example:

*Bob walks up to Joe*
Bob: "Hi Joe!"
Joe: "Hi Bob! How are you today?"

This is fine, because you did not something drastic that deviates from Joe’s idea of HIS character. But, if Bob writes this…

Bob: "Hi Joe!"
Joe: "GO AWAY!!! I HATE YOU!!! YOU GONNA DIE!!! I HATE MYSELF!!!!"
*Joe pulls out a kunai and stabs himself in his left testicle*

This… is horribly wrong! Here, you took full control of Joe’s character and did something that he would NEVER do.
Godmodding also counts with battles. Very seldom in battles, you may godmod your opponents, but usually, it is a big no-no. No godmodding in battles means that you launch hits to your opponent, but you may NOT state whether they hit! You may say they miss... but you can NEVER say that they strike, unless you are allowed to RP with godmodding. Even if you are allowed, you must not go overboard. You are also not allowed to KILL!! NEVER!!! ONLY if you have the Mods permission OR the other characters permission. Here's an example of non-godmodded fighting (Bob being the one posting):

This is perfectly acceptable. Joe must now choose whether it hits or not. Bear in mind though, that you MUST take hits! If you do not take hits, don't expect your opponent to take hits, its a game of give and take, and if you are fighting a jounin and you are a genin, then expect to take MUCH more hits then you give. Here's an example of NOT to fight!

*the class sits closer, listening intently for this apparent ‘secret’*

Azure: “It is… detail! The more detail you add to your RP’ing, the richer it is! The more desriptions, the more feeling, the more passion you add to your writing, the better it will be! Let me give you some examples…”

A bit better, right? The reader gets a much more vivid idea of the fight, making it more pleasant to read. Remember, you are NOT replying to a post on a forum. You are writing a STORY!!! This is your NOVEL! We are starting it; this is the opening chapter! You write that novel!

Konohamaru: "When you have finished reading, you will show your understanding by attacking me as best you can. I will judge your ability based on this, so RP as best you can and attempt to defeat me."

With that the bored teacher retreated to his desk at the front of the class, and leaned against it, waiting for his student to finish.

**Kenta look's up after finshing he than picks his desk up and throw's it at his teacher wile the desk is flying at his theacher he use's Bunshin no jutsu
to trie and confuse his theacher than right after he launches him self right behind the desk and than Kenta Transform's his self with Henge no Jutsu to look like a chair flying right behid the desk the hole time wile his bushin is moving right be hind him and the desk to make it look as if the chair belongs**

**Kenta looks up after finshing, and he then picks his desk up and throws it at his teacher. While the desk is flying at his teacher he uses Bunshin no jutsu in order to confuse his teacher. After that, the student launches himself right behind the desk, while transforming himself with to look like a chair flying behind the desk**

OOC: I edited your post to make it more readable. You need to learn to use spell checker; as well as not mixing up homphones. Read your post over before submitting it. Learn to space things out properly.

Konohamaru yawned as the desk flew at him. He sees Kenta clearly while he makes a bunshin, and knows that the actual student is behind the desk somehow.

Konohamaru: "You will have to do mucj better than that. Your plan was not horrible, but it is more than just good planning and fighting skills. You must also be albe to clearly convey your message to the reader. If you look at your original post, it is confused and scrambled. Use multiple sentences. It helps."

While saying this, Konohamaru simply steps to his side. The desk that Kenta had thrown slams into the teacher's desk, and stops. A second later, the student, transformed to look like a chair also slams into the teacher's desk, which knocks the air out of him and disperses the henge. Konohamaru is looking down condescendingly at him from a few feet away, laughing as he steps back.

Konohamaru: "Try again Kenta. You will have to do much better."

**Kenta stands up after a moment to catch his breath. His vision was a bit rattled, but that didn't keep him from reaction quickly. This was the style of a shinobi after all.**

**upon getting to his feet he begins again, he takes the student desk again and throws it at Konohamaru. While the object is soaring towards the man he takes cover behind the larger teacher desk behind him.**

**Kenta and the bunshins then switch places before coming from be hind the desk and charging the elder. Kenta #1 dives to take out the teacher's legs, while Kenta #2 Jumps up in a flying tackle aimed for Konohamaru's chest and Kenta #3 rushes in from his sensei's left, aiming a kick for his groin.

You see how I corrected it slightly (and yes I looked at the spoiler for the purposes of this correction). I desscrbied an attack for each Kenta and their position in relationship to their intended target, Konohamaru. The spoiler tag is not necessary except for thhe single purpose of saying which of the attackers is real. No need to do more than that.

BIC:

The teacher simply sidesteps the flying desk again as it crashes to the ground while three Kentas appear from behinf the teacher's desk.

Konohamaru: "Much better Kenta. However, you didn't describe how they were attacking. The more specific you are with the details of what kind of attack and where exactly it is aimed, the harder it is to block."

While he is speaking, Konohamaru takes two quick steps backwards. The Kenta attacking below jumps up as the Kenta from above is falling down. They phase through each other as the third Kenta comes in a second late and kicks thebunshins, missinghis sensei by a foot.

Konohamaru: "Whenever you don't describe an attack with enough detail, I can add detail of my own. If you say 'Kenta attacks his sensei'. Then I can specify that the attack is a sweep kick to my ankles, or perhas just a punch to my chest. Or anything like that. It gives me more options to escape. Continue trying though."

*Farah quickly ran down the street towards the Academy,the wind blowing her hair,as Farah ran towards it,she finally stopped when she was at the big doors of the academy,Farah breathed in deeply trying to gain a little courage and then opened the door,as she opened the door she noticed a their was already a little battle going on,Farah walked over to them keeping a little distance from both of them*

*Peering up at the edges around the door, hands folded over themselves fidgeting, standing on one foot, the other pushing the door open just to the side of the actual door handle, Enkai entered the classroom cautiously as always. After moving the door aside enough to walk through, he glid through the doorway inspecting everything and everyone in the room quickly. His eyes shook and stammered across the walls, looking at pictures and diagrams, searching over peoples' faces, their demeanor, their dress, learning the layout and questioning the entire entity of the room, he continued to walk along the edge of the room.

Finding a desk, Enkai lifted his right foot on top of it, standing on it before collapsing down. He sat with his feet clapped together, his hands still constantly moving, weaving and darting around themselves aimlessly. His breathing was delayed and sirene, he was almost still as he sat, excluding his hands.*

Enkai: Grey, Blue, Red...Tall, average, average...wood, crash? Attack...violence...hate, discipline...love. Rigid movements, he's not flowing very well...single layer attacks.
Yes, there's no subsequent traps or forthought.
There is some, just not enough, the teacher is well trained for this style of fighting. He saw through it too easily.
You shouldn't use a bunshin attack unless you can distract him from multiple attacks simultaneously.
I know, even then it will be difficult though, he's much quicker, meaning any physical attack would almost be useless.
Maybe you can strike without striking?
I don't really like to hurt others, if I must though. He'll be at least a little tired out after this.
Good, let's prepare a strategy now.

*Springing up behind the young female shinobi, Enkai twisted around to look her more in the face while he greeted her. At the same time, in an interested fashion, Enkai looked up and down the red-head, watching her breathe, her eyes, her pulse. He learned her clothes and her physiogomy.*

Enkai: Hello. My name is Enkai, yours?

Enkai: She seems easy enough, more time would be good though.
This will be good enough, with the instructor being as reactionary as he is, it won't be that difficult to confuse him.
He'll see through it.
Hmm, yeah, but he won't be able to designate a proper reaction even still.
Good, this should be enough.

Konohamaru notices that a young girl has entered, and a minute later, a young boy nervously enters, and fidgets as he inches over to the young girl. Since the first student is still crumpled on the floor, Konohamaru forms a hand seal and one kage bunshin poofs into existance in front of the young boy and girl who had just entered.

KB Kono: "Yes, this is the academy. Tell me a little about yourself little lady." The bunshin turns to Enkai. "And you, you may begin your battle with my otherself. It is clear you are ready to begin your final exam."

The real Konohamaru backs a few steps away from Kenta as he stands up, and watches Enkai with a smile.

Kono: He clearly knows what he is doing, even if he is nervous. Let's see what he can do...

*Propping his head over the girl's shoulder to look over at the instructor, he blankly stares at him for a few seconds, letting his head fall sideways while his body, stationary, doesn't move. Quickly snapping his head to the clone who directed him, Enkai looked up, still figeting with his hands, and then stood straight up.*

Enkai: Thank you.

*He quietly said it without enthusiasm, cold and unemotional. A second passed by while Enkai still stared at the Bunshin, motionless, he eerily leered at him nervously. Enkai's right eye twitched and his neck twisted over, leaning to the side like it was before. On he went as if nothing happened though, stepping to the side.

While the teacher stood ready for an attack, Enkai slowly stammered over behind a row of desks, exactly opposite of the instructor. His hands still motioned and weaved quickly with no reason or trajectory.*

Enkai: Oh, like I said to her, I'm Enkai...yourself?

*Without response, Enkai's foot snapped up on the edge of the desk ahead of him. He pushed it, flipping the desk onto it's side, hiding his feet from the Sensei. Falling back, he hid his entire body by the cover of the wooden desktop, now laying on the ground. Suddenly, his hands shifted their motions, quickly now responding to deliberation. Forming a seal, while still on his back, Enkai's eyes become intent for a second.*

Enkai: Bunshin no Jutsu

*In a puff of smoke, two clones of Enkai jump out from behind the desk, one to the left of the instructor, one to the right. They both stood poised to fight, but neither made a movement. Staring intently at the teacher, they had a serious tone on their faces, intensely watching for any movement.

Suddenly, the one to the teacher's right side ran back along the wall, getting in behind the teacher. Right after this, the second, to his left lept to a desk, then again in the air towards the teacher from above.*

Enkai: That bunshin will be a problem...
No matter, it's him that has to choose still.

*While the two Enkai's were attacking from the teacher's sides, he stood prepared, more than able to fend off the blow of the feeble applicant. When the attacks were almost to hit, Enkai burst out from behind the desk he had earlier tipped. This Enkai now sprinted towards the other student who had the misfortune to battle this superior shinobi. Rushing behind the opposite student, Enkai positioned himself to the back with his right leg risin, ready to attack at a moment's notice the young academy student. His foot was ready to strike the student from behind.

When the Enkai had positioned himself behind the other student, the other two formerly attacking stopped, instead standing without attention. They lazily smiled as they stood nervously on either side of the sensei, figeting like he had been before.*

Enkai: I may not be strong physically, but this kind of attack will do good damage no matter what.

OoC: So do you need to know which ones are the bunshins and which is the real one? If so it was the one that was attacking you by running along the wall behind you.

Konohamaru is perplexed by the new students actions he wanders aimlessly and babbles before suddenly there is a quick, determined movement. A desk is flipped over, and Enkai seems to crawl behind it to cower in fear. However, there is a quick puff and two Enkai's appear to the teacher's sides.

Konohamaru: Not bad. Not bad at all...

The bunshins make their move, but Konohamaru stands his ground calmly, slipping into a stance to accept any attack. However, as the two Enkai's close, another Enkai bursts from behind the desk and stands over the crumpled Kenta, preparing to strike him.

However, Konohamaru smirks a little, punching the Enkai to his right in the chest, and knocking him back a few feet.

Konohamaru: "An excellent attack; however, Enkai, bunshins don't make noise when they move, and you do."

Konohamaru smiles though, pleased.

Konohamaru: "However, you clearly knowwhat youare doing well. You have passed my test. Have your headband"

With that, the sensei tosses a Konoha headband into Enkai's lap

OOC: It is great Flyin. Truly good. One strategic error, but the rest was great...

*Picking up the headband with his right hand, Enkai's left rubbed his chest where he was hit. The two bunshins vanished in smoke, leaving only the true Enkai there. Propping himself up, Enkai lifted his head walking towards the door slowly, holding the headband and still caressing the injury. While he walked out the door, Enkai noted right as he exited...*

Enkai: Very rude, you inturrupted before she had a chance to answer me. Also you never told me your name. Thank you though, rude sensei. Sorry other student, I would never intend to hurt you seriously.

*He continued to walk away carelessly, searching through the halls of the Academy, reverse to what he had before.*

KB Kono: "A little shy eh? You shouldn't worry so much. You won't look silly. But if you prefer, we can get on with your test. You seem to know what you are doing already. And think, if you do well, you will be come a ninja."

The kage bunshin Konohamaru smiles, and takes two steps back, slipping into a defensive stance.

KB Kono: "My name is Konohamaru, tell me your name, and then you may attack me as you wish. You must go all out in order to have even a chance of landing a hit on me."

Farah: M-my name is Farah

*Farah noticed her sensai backing up into a fighting posistion,Farah decided to go on and pass this test,might as well,she didn't like it here really,Farah quickly looked around at her surroundings,examining every little opening,Farah hoped that what she was doing wouldn't hurt konohamaru,but she really did want to get out of here,Farah quickly looked at the wall behind konohamaru,then after forming a plan in her head started moving forward,with ease considering the situation*

Farah:B-bushin no jutsu

*two other bushins poped up by Farah,then as if by just a thought ,two of the farah's went in front of her,fists raised,farah only whised she had courage like that,but Farah put that thought out of her head and quickly jumped onto one of the bushins backs,then as Anna thought the bushin threw her up onto the wall behind her sensai,Farah hit the wall with her foot,gently bouncing off it,she then posistioned herself for a drop kick,as the other two bushins closed in on her sensai*

ooc: only thing i could think of at the moment^^,and you can probally guess which one is but if you don't the one that's drop kicking you

Konohamaru noticed his student examining the walls carefully before making her move. When she performs her jutsu, the wise sensei carefully watched the rue Farah, pinpointing her movements throughout the attack. His suspicions are confirmed when he hears her bounce off of a wall, and change direction with an agile move to kick downwards on him.

Kono KB: "Very good Farah."

The Bunshin puts his arms up over his head, crossed to absord her kick. With a small shift, one of his hands is freed to grab her ankle. He squats a little to take off the weight of her blow, and pivots agilely, throwing Farah across the room with a graceful move. However, Konohamaru doesn't stop there, grabing a handful of shuriken and sending them spinning right after his student to pin her against the wall.

KB Kono: "Dodge this and launch one more good attack, and I think you will be ready to go Farah."

*Farah realized things occuring before she had time to evaluate her situation,he grabed her ankle,she's thrown across the room,shurikens are thrown at her,farah realized that she somehow needed to dodge the shurikens or it might not be the a very nice sight,farah looked at the wall behind her,noticing that there was a desk right beside the place where she was going to collide into,farah then stuck her right foot back,she would need momentum to pull this off,farah saw the wall coming up,and right before she hit the wall,she put her right foot on it, bouncing over behind the desk,and not a moment to soon either for right after that the shurikens hit the wall*

Farah: i..i can't believe i did that

*farah decided that instead of gapping at what she did she jumped back over the desk and grabed two of the shurikens that hit the wall,both in hand she started running to where her sensai was,throwing one of them,then the second one,and then following right behind them,jumping up to aim her foot at her sensai's chest*

Farah(thinking): oh i hope this won't hurt him

Following his instincts it led him to a room where he felt chakra leaking out from under the door. He opened the door and to his surprise he seen a red blur flying across the room to what seems like the teacher. Makoto thought to his self.*

It was a chilly morning, Aki slowly walked up to the academy and pulled her vest closer to her body as she let out a puff of steam. As she stood there contemplating whether or not to go in, she let go her vest, and straightened out her clothes. She took one last deep breath and opened the doors to the academy.

The sudden burst of warm air dizzied her a bit. She quickly shook it off and walked down the hall at a steady pace. As she neared the classrom in which she would be taking her exam, she heard the many sounds of battle. She was once again nervous. She slowed her pace, and reached the door. She took in a deep breath and let it out as she opened the door and walked in. She payed no heed to the fighting and made her way to an empty chair at the back of the room. She sat down and begun contemplating what her exam would be like.

Aki: Maybe I should announce myself, I want to get this over with.

*Aki slowly arose and anounced in a load voice*

Aki: Aku Honoka reporting for her final exam!

The Kage bunshin Konohamaru quickly pulled out a kunai with his right hand as Farah approached. The whizzing shuriken came at his chest, but unmoved, he uses the kunai to deflect one to the left and one to the right. Then while her foot homed in on the teacher's chest, Kono moved a quick step to his left, and slammed his fist into her stomack. Stopping her in midair. She drops to the ground while Konohamaru puts the kunai away.

KB Kono: "Very good Farah, you may go now."

As the Kage Bunshin walked towards the new arrival, the real Konohamaru tossed a headband to Farah. The real teacher then moved to the new girl sitting in a desk.

*Makoto stared at Konohamaru in amazement. Being that he just gotten out of a battle with the cute red haired girl, Makoto noticed that Konohamaru was as calm as a flower with an inviting smile.*

Makoto: My name is...

*Makoto was nervous to say his name, but the strength of a thousand men was felt when he looked at Konohamaru in the eyes and stood up straight with the pride of his clan in his heart.*

Makoto: My name is Makoto Takeshi and my goal in life is to prove that I'm the best of the best.

*As Makoto awaited Konohamaru's reponse, Makoto started thinking of a strategy to defeat Konohamaru with the little knowledge that he soaked up from Konohamaru's last battle.*

Kono: "Amazing work already. My name is Konohamaru, and I am your sensei today. Please, tell me your name and a little about yourself, and then you will be ready to take your exam."

Aki: Right!

*Aki once again stood up, with more confidence this time, and prepared her load voice.*

Aki: I am Aki Honoka, daughter to Isuma and Asahi Honoka. Both my parents made it to the rank of jounin. Once they had me, they had begun my training in the basics of the shinobi ways at a very young age. However, after my mother passed away, my father discouraged me from choosing the life of a shinobi. I understand where he was coming from, but I still choose this path.

Aki had started to sense that she was trailing off from her real answer a bit, she quickly realized this and began talking louder and faster.

Aki: Although I am still an academy student, I excel in taijutsu among all others. I hope to improve my ninjutsu and genjutsu skills as well.

Aki stood quietly for a moment and sat back down, having nothing else to say.

Kono: Strange. She wandered a bit there. However, her goal is good, if a bit basic. However, she is ready to begin as well...

The real teacher, jumped back a few feet into the air, landing gracefully and slipping into a defensive posture. There are now three desks between him and his student/enemy.

Kono: "Attack me all out. If you do well, this will be your final exam. If you do badly, you will take a remedial exam."

Aki: Got it.

As Konohamaru put some distance between himself and Aki, she immedietly prepared herself for an attack.

Aki: There is no way I can win this fight, he's just testing me.

The air was still, as if in anticipation Aki's attack pattern. She silently lowered her hand to her back pouch and pulled out two shuriken, and looked Konohamaru dead in the eyes. When the time seemed right she took off with a burst of speed, and on her third step she launched her self into the air as she released the shuriken from her numb fingers. She threw up a puff of dust as she landed on the middle desk. She quickly stood up and tucked her right foot under the edge of the table. Her eyes grew fierce as she strained her body backwards. As she attempted her back flip, the momentum of her body kept the table moving with her. As soon as she got a clear picture of where her sensei was she kicked her right leg, to complete her rotation, and at the same moment sent the desk hurtling towards Konohamaru.

KB Kono: Interesting. He seems to have calmed down just now. And he is proud of his name. An interesting goal as well. I think he is ready though...

THe kage bunshin smiles as he jumps back a few feet from the student, slipping into a loose, defensive posture.

KB Kono: "Attack me as best you can, Makato. If you are not trying to destroy me completely, you will not stand a chance."

*Trying to think of a strategy as quick as possible, Makoto realized that he camed to a brick wall. He remembered that he walked in at the end of the fight only to notice that Sensei is fast.*

*As Kono-sensei smiled and slipped into defensive stance, Makoto's plan started to brew. He noticed that not only is his stance loose but it is also defensive. Being a loose, defensive stance allows for Kono-sensei to defend against his attack, but it also allows Kono-sensei to attack with a counter if he sees fit. Taking that into consideration, Makoto formed a familiar hand seal and muttered the words...*

Makoto: Bunshin no jutsu

*As a puff of white smoke appeared and then disappear, Kono-sensei was now up against a three man team. Makoto remembered when he was learning the clone technique that a plain bunshin can deal no damage and make no noise, so he carefully placed his self in the middle of the trio before the smoke cleared. Knowing that the real Makoto makes sound, he stepped off with his right foot and then his left foot. At the same time the clones were to mimic Makoto keeping their feet in unison with his to try to confuse Sensei.*

Makoto: ALRIGHT...lets go!!!

*As the trio moved in unison, they would mix up each others order to try and puzzle Kono-sensei. After getting within attacking distance of Kono-sensei, all three Makoto's proceeded with the plan. Makoto #1, on the right hand side of Kono-sensei balled up his right hand for an attack to Kono-sensei's chin, Makoto #2, in the middle extended his left leg for a flying kick to the upper torso area, and Makoto #3, on Kono-sensei's left hand side prepared for a round-house kick to the back of Kono-sensei's neck. If the plan was successful and Kono-sensei did not see thru it then he would be in for a big surprise.*

Makoto: (I hope this works)

OOC: Im the one on your left hand side doing the round-house kick to the back of your neck. Hope i rp'ed well :)

The sun is high in the sky as Uchiki makes his way into the new village. he isn't sure the name, or even where he is really. He'd been travaling for a long time now with no direction or mp, so this didn't bother him much.

He walks down the streets of the new village, looking around and seeing a few things he could find in any village, as well as a few local curiocities* that he'd not seen before. The peoples faces were new, but somehow the same as always, just more that he didn't care to see or get to know.

In the distance, he spots something he'd not seen for years now. A ninja academy. He looks at it for a moment, pauseing to think weather or not he should go there for some trainning. he decides he might as well and makes a beeline for it.

'It'll be good to do some trainning. It has been a long time, and I've been wanting to get into a fight lately.' He thinks to himself as the academy quickly comes within reach, with the help of his legs, made strong and quick by walking everywhere.

Once inside the school Uchiki fids a bit of comotion going on. There doesn't seemto be anyone outside to guide him in, so he simply opens the doors and walks in. He looks down the long hallway, doors on eachh side, and starts down it. He looks in a few classrooms as he goes. Some are empty, some have students learning, and others still have battles rageing inside.

He finally finds one classroom with the door open, as if waitting for him. He walks inside, and doesn't see anyone. He sighs a little, but takes a seat in the front row without complaint, and starts the waitting gmae, a game he never liked much.

-Konohamaru saw the fist, and the roundhouse kick coming closer. He quickly thought up a plan. He simply ducked, making Mokoto's roundhouse kick, take out the fist, and dispersing the bunshin on the right. Then, with the left legged kick coming in closer, he grabbed it with his two hands, and swung it around. This also dispersed the bunshin.

Kono: "Hm..Good job, you had a good strategy.."

-With Mokoto still balanced on his one foot, Kono stuck out his right leg. He swept it around, aimed to take out Mokoto's other leg.

Kono: "Try to dodge this!"

*After seeing his strategy fall to pieces, Makoto tried to keep a cool head. He knew that his sensei wasn't going to fall for that petty plan, so as a precaution Makoto thought a step further. After Makoto's round-house failure, Makoto was left standing on one foot. Kono-sensei attempted a sweep kick with his right leg and as quick as he could, Makoto formed the hand seals for one of the handiest ninjutsu around.*

Makoto: Kawarmi no jutsu

*What seemed to be an off balance academy student quickly turned into a desk awaiting impact from an unsuspecting teacher. Makoto switched places with a near by desk and immediatly put his second plan into action. Makoto picked up a desk with his right hand and flung it at Kono-sensei while he was continuing his sweep kick towards the unarmed desk. He also picked up another hardwood desk with his left hand and chunked it toward his sensei. The aiming of the second desk wasn't toward the teacher at all though. Makoto aimed for a specific spot 45 degrees to the left of Kono-sensei right below a "Step Outside of The Box" poster for Makoto surely was stepping outside of that box. As Makoto awaited the arrival of the two desk flying towards their destinations, Makoto formed another set of familiar hand seals while whispering...*

Makoto: Kawarmi no jutsu

OOC: was that better? I used kawarimi no jutsu on the desk that suppose to hit the wall.

Kono: "Hm..getting better!"

-With the one desk gain velocity, Kono performed several hand seals. Soon enough, he began to shout "Kage Bunshin no jutsu!" He had created a single kage bunshin, using it to block the desk from it's path.

Kono: "Alright, now its my turn!"

-As the desk behind him turned into Mokoto, Kono created two more kage bunshins. He ordered them to charge at Mokoto, both on each side. Once they came close enough, they both took out a kunai. As they threw it out of their hands with great speed, Kono too took out a kunai. Doing the same, he released it from his hand.

-The kunai that Kono had thrown, was nearly five feet from Mokoto. Suddenly, Kono mumbled around with his hands, and did several hand seals.

Kono: Kawarimi no jutsu!

-The kunai that the real Kono had thrown, turned into himself. Now Kono was on his back, and he threw out his two legs, pushing off with his own two hands.

-Mokoto now had to deal with kunais coming at him from both sides, and a kick coming straight at him.

*As Makoto's figure formed from the speeding desk, the sense of an attack was present in Makoto's mind. While watching two kunai hurry towards Makoto from the left and right, and an incoming Kono-sensei, Makoto was struckt with the feeling of deja vu. He remembered that this was his first strategy that he used against his sensei when the battle started.*

Makoto: Damn it. He's using my strategy against me. First I'll deal with the two kunai heading towards me.

*Using the acceleration he gained from throwing the desk at the wall before switching places with it, Makoto placed both hands on the wall. As the rest of his body followed in a backflip on the wall, he placed both feet about one meter above his hands. Finishing off the backflip, Makoto timed the lifting of his body with the impact of the two kunai hitting the wall. As the sharp kunai stabbed the harmless wall, Makoto placed both hands on the kunai that were implanted into the siding of the room and grabbed them while using all of his leg strength to push off the wall. Gaining two weapons, Makoto unleashed his fury towards his sensei while he was about to connect with the wall. Trying to calculate his next move with the speed of his reflexes, and with the silly idea that his sensei may do the samething as he did, Makoto throw one kunai with his right hand one foot above the spot were Kono-sensei's feet were to touch.*

Makoto: Catch this Kono-sensei!!!

*With the other kunai, Makoto switched it from his left hand to his right and threw it directly at his sensei.*

Makoto: Lets see Kono-sensei get out of this one.

OOC: Im right above you facing you.

-Kono knew he had to get hit. He couldn't think up a solution with such little time. So as the kunai came in close, he put out his arm, allowing the kunai to cut it. Then the kunai fell out of place, and Konohamaru got up.

Kono: "Alright, I think you're ready for the next test.."

-Soon after that was said, more words came out of Kono's mouth.

Kono: "I want you to go to Ichiraku's Ramen. I'll give you some money, and I want you to eat there. Be as descriptive as you can be. Mention the smell, the other customers, your server, your food, and ect. Be very specific!

*After landing from his airborne journey, Makoto noticed that his sensei was bleeding out of his arm. A feeling of happiness was overcoming Makoto, but he tried his hardest to maintain his bearing. At the sametime though, Makoto stared at his sensei in disbelief.*

Makoto: Did I really do that?

*Makoto was saddened a little because he knew that Kono-sensei was too skilled a shinobi to be cut by the likes of him, but at the same time he was relieved that the battle was over. Makoto was sent on a final task by his sensei to go to Ichiraku's for some ramen. Odd as it may be, Makoto was happy to oblige for the exhausting war with Kono-sensei caused Makoto to go to war with his hungry stomach. Makoto stood at attention as if he were an enlisted soldier in the military and spoke with the upmost respect for his sensei...*

Makoto: Yes, sir Kono-sensei!

*As Makoto began his adventure to Ichiraku's Ramen Shop, he whistled a tune that his mother always sung to him as a child. Makoto started to daydream that he was training with his father once more and his mother was bringing them snacks to eat. As he charged at his father Makoto was suddenly interrupted by a stampede of children his age.*

Makoto: Watch where you're going!!!

*Makoto yelled at the group of kids but grinned and chuckled a bit because he knew that they were headed towards the academy that he just stepped out of. Makoto enjoyed the beat of the sun on his skin. As a young child he never would complain about the heat. It reminded him of the warmth of his home before his parents were killed in a raid, now his home is silent and cold. Makoto had no siblings or friends, so Makoto accepted the fact that he would be alone for a long time, but that never stopped Makoto from trying to make friends and help out those who couldn't help theirselves.*

*While walking towards the ramen shop, Makoto spotted an elderly woman caring heavy groceries from the market and it looked like it was taken a toll on her. Makoto hesitated because he knew that he was told to go to the ramen shop. All of a sudden, the elderly woman tripped over a rock in the road and threw the grocery bag in the air. Without thinking, Makoto dashed toward the elderly woman who was falling down and caught her before it was to late. While she was mesmerized by the young man's agility, Makoto performed two backflips and jumped in the air using his leg strength. He grabbed the groceries before they came down to a terrible mess and gave them back to the woman. After the two exchanged smiles, Makoto continued to the main road towards Ichiraku's when the old lady asked him a question.*

Old Lady: What about my pie?

Makoto: What pie?

*Right after Makoto responded to the old ladies question, a cherry pie fell on Makoto's head putting cherry filling all in his hair and face. Makoto felt like throwing a kunai in the sky and walking away to see if the kunai will fall on him too. The old lady must of felt sorry for Makoto, so for Makoto saving her and her groceries she helped Makoto clean up.*

Old Lady: Here you go sweetie. This towel will help you clean up.

Makoto: Thank you ma'am. I guess we're even now.

*Makoto and the old lady shared a good laugh before Makoto headed of towards his destination. Makoto made it a street away from Ichiraku's when all of a sudden a young lady was screaming for help. Makoto sprinted as fast as he could to the damzel in distress. When Makoto got to the scene, he was puzzled to see a young women crying on the ground. Makoto walked up to her and asked her what was wrong.*

Makoto: Whats wrong ma'am?

Young Lady: That man right there just stole my purse. Can you please get it for me?

Makoto: Sure ma'am I will do what ever I can.

*Makoto ran up to the man who stole the young ladies purse and asked for it back.*

Makoto: Sir, can I please have the women's purse back? Its not yours and she really wants it back.

Thief: Buzz off kid, I got some money to count.

*Makoto, as angry as ever shouted to the man...*

Makoto: Look theif, I don't have time for this. Why don't we have a sparring match and the winner gets the purse.

Thief: Do you know who I am kid? I'm Burglar Bob, the biggest butglar in the village. I'm a fighting machine.

*And in that instance, Burglar Bob swung at Makoto. Makoto watching the thieves slow punch, delivered a gut wrenching kick to Burglar Bob's stomach.*

Burglar Bob: Arghhhh!!!

Burglar Bob: Here...take it.

*Just like that the fight was over. Makoto took his winnings and walked back to the women.*

Young Lady: Thank you...

Makoto: my name is Makoto Takeshi.

Young Lady: Well thank you Makoto Takeshi. Where are you headed to?

Makoto: Ichiraku's Ramen Shop

Young Lady: Isn't that a coincidence. I'm heading there too.

*As the two walked to Ichiraku's they talked and told jokes and before they knew it they were there. Ichiraku's was just a little setup on the main road with six chairs on one table facing the cook. It was like a little ramen bar. While Makoto and the young lady walked in the two customers that were in there earlier told Makoto to try the BBQ Pork. Makoto caught whiff of the delicious aroma that was the house special. Sure enough, Makoto's mouth water with excitement. The sizzle of the pork, the chopping of the vegetables, and the ramening of the ramen sent Makoto into a genjutsu type illusion. The thought of floating towards his mouth's paradise was then interrupted by a smile and a slam of a bowl of ramen.*

Server: My name is Kita and I will be serving you today Makoto.

*A surprising shock overpowered Makoto's face. A girl that he thought was just a fellow ramen lover was actually the owners daughter.*

Makoto: You...you...you work here?

Kita: Yep! My dad is the owner, and for helping me you get a free bowl of our famous BBQ Pork Ramen.

*Makoto had a look of a kid in a candy store. Makoto thanked Kita kindly and went to work on his hard earned treat.*

Makoto: Thank you...thank you...thank you.

*And with that said, Makoto filled his tummy until he felt like he was going to explode. He helped out an old lady, had a pie fall on him, fought a theif for a young ladies purse, walked with a that lady, got a free meal from Ichiraku's, and got to keep Kono-sensei's money. While sipping the rest of the broth down, Makoto thought...*

Makoto: Today was a good day.

OOC: Thats all I could come up with...I think it was good lol

-After several moments of waiting, Makoto came back into the academy and told Kono about the journey he went on. Kono was stunned by his descriptions and his actions, and he knew that Makoto was ready to pass.

Kono: "Alright..One last test!...What do you think it means to be a shinobi?..There is no right or wrong answer, I just want your perspective on it.."

-And with that said, Konohamaru awaited for Makoto's response.

*After Makoto heard the question, he suddenly closed his eyes. A few seconds pass and then Makoto opened them with fire burning in his eyes. He smiled and spoke with confidence and pride.*

Makoto: To me a shinobi is one that will put his life on the line for his villages name and his village's inhabitants. A shinobi is one that never gives up and works hard. A shinobi is one that gets back up after being knocked down and then tries harder. One that aspires for greatness and won't cheat their way up to the top. A shinobi shows respect to the littlest of people and also to the biggest of people no matter their physical or mental state. A shinobi is someone like me, who will make the people that support him proud, and at the sametime be proud of his self.

*Makoto felt proud of his self when he explained what it meant to be a shinobi. Makoto looked up to the ceiling and thought about his parents, who he will make proud someday. After a brief moment, Makoto looked at Kono-sensei and awaited his response.*

Uchiki watches as the instructor walks in and listens to him carefully. He then nods and stands up, moveing so that the deck is now to his back.

Uchiki: Hello sir. My name is Uchiki Hotaru, and there really isn't much to say. I've been on my own for about six years now, just wandering from place to place looking for a man.

Uchiki speaks clearly and clean, trying to make sure the instructor understands him. He sometimes has a problem with running his words together. He looks to the man, watching him carefully, knowing he has to be ready for anything in a new place like this.

'I wonder if i might get to fight this guy. He looks like a tough opponet to beat.' He thinks to himself as he waits to hear what the man will say next.

Uchiki: Whatever you say. It's been a while.

Uchiki then jumps back and looks the man over, getting a feel for his bodt, his height and weight, and thinking of how much momentum he might need for his favorite move to have a chance of working. He slowly moves his right arm back, opening the palm flat. He holds it as if her were going to punch with it like this. He then clenches his left fist and draws it across his chest, as if to guard against an attack yet to be launched.

'I've got to do this just right. Got to get the speed and angle perfect...' He thinks as he prepares to charge sensei.

Uchiki charges at full speed, straight at the instructor, but then he ducks low, places his opem palm on the ground, and sticks his left leg out straight, pointed straight at the mans head. He pushes off his his right arm and gains power as he goes.

'This should do some damage if it works.' he thinks in mid-air.

'Didn't think so.' Uchiki thinks as he flies through the air.

As he flies towards the wall, he curls into a ball, so that his feet will hit the wall first so that he can spring back at the instructor, but his plans change when he looks back to see the kunai flying towards him.

As his feet hit the wall, he tences all the muscles in his legs. He stays on the wall for a split second before falling to the floor, letting the kunai pass just cenimeters from his head. And as he sits up he can even feel the blade against the top of his head and he sighs a bit.

Uchiki: That one was very close. Your a strong shinobi, and I can see why your the sensei here now.

With that said, Uchiki takes the kunai from above his head and holds it with a strong grip in his right hand as he stands up. But as he stands, the old familiar pain hits his left knee. he tries not to show it, but it might mean he could lose very easily now.

'Not now, not right now... Just a biit longer, then you can hurt all you want, but not now.' He pleades with his knee inside his head.

He looks over at sensei and concintrates his chakra into his right hand, feeling a slight sensation of warmth as he starts to move forward, ignoreing the pain. When he is just a few feet from the man, he tosses the kunai directly at his face, then leaps at him for a high kick, bending hisleft leg back and extending the right as he goes through the air.
(OOC: The thing with the knee, I actually have that, so I know what I'm talking about. And that first move I did I can actually do.)

Footsteps are heard coming down the hallway. All the students watch on in anticipation to see who it is. A figure with a large ragged ponytail casts a shadow to the floor as he enters the room.

Shikamaru: *Yawn* My name is Shikamaru Nara. I’m a Jounin that’s been sent to temporarily help out around here...

Shikamaru is greeted by overly eager faces.

Shikamaru: God, there’s so many of you... So troublesome...lemme see...

Shikamaru carefully scans the room trying to select someone....

Shikamaru: You! You look like you might have what it takes... Meet me in the adjacent room where I can administer your final exam.

After pointing to the golden haired kunoichi, Shikamaru turns and exits the room.

In the adjacent training room, Shikamaru moves some of the desks and chairs out of the way giving him enough room to spar with the student.

The young konoichi enters the room with a bright and perky attitude.

Shikamaru rudely cuts her off from speaking as he massages his temples with his thumb and index finger.

You’re here because you aspire to join the prestigious ranks of Konoha’s Shinobi.

Q: What’s the most important thing when RP’ing here at SOS?
A: Word Usage – This will make or break your attack or defense.

Yes, here at SOS you will come to find that as shinobi, we may fight with a very colorful arsenal of weapons, but it means completely nothing if the words you use make no sense. You don’t have to be an expert in English by any means, but you must be able to construct sentences and descriptions that make sense to your opponent/reader.

And while we’re on the subject of descriptions, please take a moment to consider that the more description you add to your post, the better you will score when judges are looking at it.

Q: Is there a specific format to RP at SOS?
A: Great question! The answer is yes, and no...

Here is the generic RP style you will find most of the time:

*Katsu locked the door behind him as he walked out of his room and into the hallway of the Konoha inn. He whistled at he casually strolled down the hall towards the stairs. Suddenly there was complete silence. Katsu found himself frozen in his tracks with a troubled look on his face*

What you’ve just read is an ‘action’ sequence. Notice how I placed the action between two asterisks (*). There is one asterisk at the beginning and one at the end. Now lets take a look at some dialogue.

Katsu: Did I....leave the stove on?

Now, suppose I wanted to use my character’s inner monologue instead of having him say his thoughts out loud? Well to do this you could try something like:

Katsu: (Did I....leave the stove on?)

OOC: See how I just put the dialogue in parenthesis to turn them into thoughts instead?

Simple right? Please keep in mind that the examples you’ve just read are not set in stone here at SOS.

Yes, here at SOS you will find a variety of RP’ers from many different backgrounds and schools of RP’ing. What’s most important about your style is that you include the following:

- All writing involving the description of ‘actions’ must be written in the 3rd person.
- Actions must be distinctly differentiated from dialogue. Your opponent or reader should be able to easily tell them apart.
- Always use ‘OOC’ when you want to break character and communicate with your opponent/reader.
- For the sake of being organized, please skip at least one line between Actions, Dialogue, and ‘OOC’ comments.

Q: Wow, you sure used a lot of terms and phrases that I don’t understand there. Mind clarifying it for me?

*SOS – Shadows of Shinobi – That’s the name of the RP group here at Narutochaos.com.

*RP / RP’er / RP’ing – These are abbreviations for the term ‘Role Play’ / ‘Role Player’ / ‘Role Playing’.

* ‘OOC’ – Litterally means ‘Out of character’

Q: What’s 3rd person? Does that mean there’s a 2nd and 1st person also?
A: Wow, you are just choc full of excellent questions! The answer is yes!

By now you must have figured out that there are 3 main elements to every post (on average).
Now that you’ve seen all three of these used, did you know that you’ve also seen examples of 3rd person, 2nd person, and 1st person writing formats? Yes it’s true!

The 3 elements are:

- Actions (3rd person)
- ‘OOC’ comments (2nd person)
- Dialogue/ inner monologue (1st person)

Still confused? I thought so. Well, what if we looked at the same thought or idea written in all 3 forms?

This concludes RP 101. Now for your final exam you must write a post that includes Action, Dialogue, and an ‘OOC’ comment.

Godmodding and General Battle Rules:
Godmodding is when you take control of another RP’er’s character and make them do something that the RP’er would disapprove. For example:

Bob: "Hi Joe!"
Joe: "Hi Bob! How are you today?"

This is fine, because you did not something drastic that deviates from Joe’s idea of HIS character. But, if Bob writes this…

Joe: "GO AWAY!!! I HATE YOU!!! YOU GONNA DIE!!! I HATE MYSELF!!!!"
*Joe pulls out a kunai and stabs himself in his left testicle*

This… is horribly wrong! Here, you took full control of Joe’s character and did something that he would NEVER do.
Godmodding also counts with battles. Very seldom in battles, you may godmod your opponents, but usually, it is a big no-no. No godmodding in battles means that you launch hits to your opponent, but you may NOT state whether they hit! You may say they miss... but you can NEVER say that they strike, unless you are allowed to RP with godmodding. Even if you are allowed, you must not go overboard. You are also not allowed to KILL!! NEVER!!! ONLY if you have the Mods permission OR the other characters permission. Here's an example of non-godmodded fighting (Bob being the one posting):

This is perfectly acceptable. Joe must now choose whether it hits or not. Bear in mind though, that you MUST take hits! If you do not take hits, don't expect your opponent to take hits, its a game of give and take, and if you are fighting a jounin and you are a genin, then expect to take MUCH more hits then you give. Here's an example of NOT to fight!

A bit better, right? The reader gets a much more vivid idea of the fight, making it more pleasant to read. Remember, you are NOT replying to a post on a forum. You are writing a STORY!!! This is your NOVEL! We are starting it; this is the opening chapter! You write that novel!

Uchiki: Okay, thank you. I'll get right on it.

He says this as he stops abruptly, leaning a bit to the left. He takes the money, gets directions, then bows and exits the classroom. He walks slowly down the hall, stretching his leg as he goes. being inside after such a long time is strange to him, and doesn't feel right, so when he finaly reaches the door to the outside world, it's like stepping into paradice to him.

Uchiki walks through the town, noticeing the faces, but not really seeing them. He passes by the raman bar, and the smell of hot, steaming raman fills his nostrils, makeing his stomach growl a bit.

'I haven't eaten in two days. I hope I complete this test soon, I'm really in the mood for raman now.' He thinks, smileing at the thought of a full stomach once again.

Soon the village is just a distant blur as Uchiki makes his way to the endge of the lake, letting it's smell surround him. He can smell damp, decaying wood around it's edges, the water, clear, yet green with life. I smells a bit like a freshly caught fish just before you begin to gut it.

He searches the nearby trees, searching for a low, green limb. Soon he finds one and breaks it from the tree at the base. He tests it, and finds it should work, so he holds onto it as he searches for a line, and something to use as a hook. After a bit of time has passed, he finds a long vine dangleing from a tree near the waters edge. He has to climb out onto the slick, moss covered tree, which over time has grown crooked over the water, to get to said vine, but one he does, he grabs it and pulls back quickly.

An hour or more has passed by now, and still Uchiki has been unable to find anything to use as a hook. He is about to give up, when he spots a large limb a few feet back into the forrest, which has grown a bit dark now with the movement of the sun across the sky. He goes in and picks it up. It's dead, but stillstrong, and there is a place where a limb was broken off that looks like an angles hook, instead of a curved one. He takes it back to the shore and looks at his items. He now has a green limb, a long, thin, strong vine, and a hook made from a dead limb.

He looks these items over carefully, then decides to tise one end of the vine to the pole, and the other to the hook. Once he's done this, he makes sure everything is secure, then carries it while he searches for bait.

Uchiki is walking back in the woods now, in the direction on town. The ground is damp and covered with long dead leaves which bearly make a sound as he crosses them. he finds what he had been looking for. A large, fallen, hald decomposed tree, and a big one. When standing it must have easliy been as big around as himself, if not more so. He grabs one end, the grimey, dirty feeling of the rotting wood covering his hands as he lifts it and moves it over to his left. He then spots three large earthworms wriggleing about at the top where there was moisture and darkness. He grabs them, as well as a few more after a bit of digging, and soon is back at the lke's edge.

Uchiki sits down at the edge of the lake. His hook is baited and his line has been cast. As he waits for the fish to bite, he calms himself, and takes everything in. He closes his eyes and listens, takeing in the quiet of nature. The occoasional chirp of a bird, a rustle in the woods behind him, every so often a cricket chirps somewhere in the knee high grass that surrounds him.

Soon, there is a tug on the line, and quickly Uchuki yanks the pole. Thia causes the fish on the end to fly into the air and, smack him in the face as it falls back to earth. The fin cuts his forehead, but he grabs it, the body of the thing covered in rough, slimey feeling scales. He lays it far back on the bank and rebaits his hook.

The second fish is easy, he catches it just like the first, but much easlier, as this time he knew to pull harder so that it would fly behind him instead of at him. The third however takes a bit of effort. At first, none of them want to bite, and then when they do, he keeps feeling a tug, and yanks, only to find the bait gone and that he still has but two of the three fish needed. But, finally, with some stroke of luck, he caught the last fish.

None of them were very big, and they were about the same size, about two third the length of his forearm. Soon they were strung up and he was makeing his way back to the village. The raman bar more specifically.

Uchiki: Excuse me, is Mr. Ichiraku here? I have some fish for him.

Ichiraku: Oh, yes, that's me. Thank you bring them over here.

Uchiki walks into the bar and the smell of the steaming fresh raman makes his stomach growl again. inside he can hear the fire that cook the food raor in the back, the water for the noodles boiling, and, soon enough, the sound of a knife chopping of the heads of the fish he had caught.

Ichiraku: Grab a seat and I'll be with you in a minute. These fish will really help with the raman, thanks again.

Uchiki: No problem. I had to catch them for a test.

Ichiraku: So, your wanting to be a shinobi here, that right?

Uchiki: Yeah, I guess you could just say that. It's simpiler and nicer.

Ichiraku: Yeah, well, I'm donw now. What would you like to eat?

Uchiki: One bowl of chicken raman. I think this is enough.

Ichiraku: Yes, that's fine. I'll hand you your bowl in a minute.

Uchiki nods and finds a seat at the bar. His stomach growls more, knowing that it will soon be fed. He sighs a little out of tiredness as he waits, but soon he has his raman, a pair of chop sticks in hand.

Uchiki thanks Ichiraku, then digs in. It's hot, but not to hot to eat. He takes a bit od the noodles and instantly his mouth is filled with the rich flavor of the combination of noodels, chicken bits, and the broth, his mouth is now swimming in it. He savors evry bite, and when it's over, he thanks Ichiraku once again, and tells him thati he ever needs anything just to ask.

With that, Uchiki makes his way back to the academy, now full and half asleep. He pushes open the front doors, walks down the dark hall, and enters the classroom once more to look over at his new sensei.

Uchiki looks up to his new sensei and thinks for a moment. He conciders all he has gone through, all he has been taught, and everything else he has learned as he followed his own path to becomeing a shinobi. Finally, he speaks.

Uchiki: I believe that being a shinobi, means that you must fight to live, and for what you believe is right, no matter what anyone else tells you. It means that you follow tha path you believe in, and not what others have set you follow. To be a shinobi, is to be yourself, and to be true to that self.

Footsteps are heard coming down the hallway. All the students watch on in anticipation to see who it is. A figure with a large ragged ponytail casts a shadow to the floor as he enters the room.

Shikamaru: *Yawn* My name is Shikamaru Nara. I’m a Jounin that’s been sent to temporarily help out around here...

Shikamaru is greeted by overly eager faces.

Shikamaru: God, there’s so many of you... So troublesome...lemme see...

Shikamaru carefully scans the room trying to select someone....

Shikamaru: You! You look like you might have what it takes... Meet me in the adjacent room where I can administer your final exam.

After pointing to the golden haired kunoichi, Shikamaru turns and exits the room.

In the adjacent training room, Shikamaru moves some of the desks and chairs out of the way giving him enough room to spar with the student.

The young konoichi enters the room with a bright and perky attitude.

Kristi: Hi I’m Kr-

Shikamaru rudely cuts her off from speaking as he massages his temples with his thumb and index finger.

Shikamaru: Save it! Please, let’s just get this over with... There’s some notes on the blackboard I want you to commit to memory before we start. Read them over carefully and then we can start.

Four copies of herself apear around her, the two infront of her jump down off the desks, charging straight towards Shikamaru. As the two clones leap off the ground at Shikamrau, Kristi grabs a book as she circles around behind Shikamaru. The two clones behind her leap into the air from behind Shika, as Kristi jumps down from the desk, clutching the large text in both hands, charging at Shika.

As she gets in range, She leaps off the ground as her four clones converge on Shika from all sides. She swings the book down with an incredible burst of force towards Shika's head.

And now suddenly there were five Kristi’s in the room all with that same damn chipper smirk the first one had.

Shikamaru: (Form, execution, consistency – All good. But man, why do all students always wanna to jump straight into jutsu first. Does she even get the point of this exercise yet?)

Suddenly 2 of the Kristi clones jumped down from a desk they were apparently standing on and charge straight at Shikamaru!

Shikamaru: Very well then. Kage Nui!!!

Shickmaru’s palms squeeze tightly together as 6 dark shadow tendrils project from his feet in different directions. Some of them dip below and back above the floor boards while 1 climbs a nearby wall reaching the ceiling and continues on.

Suddenly Shikamaru realizes! Only one of the Kristi’s appear to be holding a textbook in her hand. And knowing the nature of the bunshin no jutsu, Shika smirks! Bunshins aren't able to physically interact with anything. They make no sounds or leave any foot prints and the certainly aren't able to pick up a book.

The Kristi with a text book leaps into the air while her apparent copies all close in on Shika!

Suddenly a shadow tendril that was crawling along the ceiling shoots down with force wrapping around the book in the hand of the Kristi that’s flying through the air, aiming for Shika’s head.

Almost immediately after, two more tendrils lunge up from the floor boards directly at the same Kristi’s legs! All the while Shika pays no mind to the 4 copies without a textbook charging at him from all sides.

*Yoh alarm starts to ring, he woke up quickly and ran to the bathroom, He takes of his pajamas and enters the shower, when he was done he wrapped himself whit a towel and went to his room, he puts his clothes and runs down the stairs and went in the kitchen.*

-Yoh: Good morning mom! Bye mom.

*Befour he can walk out the kitchen.*

Yoh’s Mom: Yoh!

*Yoh turns his head and looks at his mom.*

-Yoh: Yes mother.
Yoh’s Mom: Where are you going so early?
-Yoh: to the academy. Why?

This… is horribly wrong! Here, you took full control of Joe’s character and did something that he would NEVER do.
Godmodding also counts with battles. Very seldom in battles, you may godmod your opponents, but usually, it is a big no-no. No godmodding in battles means that you launch hits to your opponent, but you may NOT state whether they hit! You may say they miss... but you can NEVER say that they strike, unless you are allowed to RP with godmodding. Even if you are allowed, you must not go overboard. You are also not allowed to KILL!! NEVER!!! ONLY if you have the Mods permission OR the other characters permission. Here's an example of non-godmodded fighting (Bob being the one posting):

As Kotetsu walks towards the black board, he turn his head back towards the student.

Kotetsu: Make sure you read that, commit it to memory, otherwise you wont make it here.

Kotetsu grabs a small piece of chalk off the lip of the black board, he looks down at it, and crumbles it in his hands. Kotetsu claps his hands together to get rid of the dust as he turns back towards the student.

Kotetsu: Oh yea, when your finished reading that, I need you to go down the hall to the supply closet and grab a new box of chalk. Its only three doors down, on the other side. You can't miss it.

With that, Kotetsu pulls out the chair behind the teachers desk and sits down. He puts his feet up on the desk and leans back precariously on the back legs, with his hands behind his head.

*Yoh walks up to the first door he opens it and closes it, he goes to the second one he opens it and closes it, he goes to the third one he opens it, he sees a box of chalk, he goes inside the room and takes the box of chalk, he walks out and closes the door behind him, he runs back to his class room, when he reached his class room door he stops, he turns his face towards the class room door, he holds the knob and opens the door, he walks in and stands in front of the teachers desk, he hands the box of chalk to his sensei.*

-Yoh (whit a smile): Here you go sensei!!!

Kotetsu smiles, and takes the box of chalk. He pats his student on the head, and turns back to the chalk board.

Kotetsu: Okay, now please wait there for a moment...

He slips his finger under the edge of the carboard box, and pulls out a fresh piece of chalk. He draws a crude figure of a shinobi, and places three lines to the right of the character. He pauses for a moment, and then he writes "Yoh" above it.

Kotetsu: Yoh, I would like you to perform these three jutsu. Kawarimi, Bunshin, and the Henge. Kawarimi is the replacement technique you learned, the object needs to be relatively close to you, and must be atleast half your size.

He watches his students eye brows furl, as he tries to remember what he had learned.

Kotetsu: Now then, the Bunshin jutsu, creates a false copy of yourself, that has no ability to make contact with anything, it also cannot create sound. This jutsu is usefull for distracting your opponent from your real self, allowing you to make preparations for an attack, escape, or even to just play a prank on someone.

Kotetsu watches his students eyes light up, he had remembered this one.

Kotetsu: Lastly, is the henge jutsu, this jutsu allows you to appear as someone or something else. It is an essential shinobi tool, allowing us to infiltrate an enemy compound and extract information without causing a huge ruckus.

Kotetsu turns and writes the three jutsu's on the board. He places a small square to the right of each word, and turns back to Yoh.

Kotetsu: Now please, demonstrate to me that you have the ability to use these three jutsu, and you will pass. Remember, Bunshin cannot make contact with anything, Kawarimi requires an object similar in size to you, and Henge does not modify your actual body, it modifies others perception of you. Now begin!

Kotetsu sits back down in his chair, rolling the piece of chalk through his fingers as he watches his student.

Kotetsu watches his student perform the three jutsu. He stands up from his chair and walks over to Yoh. He places his hand on Yoh's head and looks down at him.

Kotetsu: Not bad rookie, looks like you need some more work on your Bunshin though. Don't worry, as a genin you can learn to use it correctly.

Kotetsu takes his hand off of Yoh's head and starts walking towards the door. As he reaches the door, he leans his head back to the right.

Kotetsu: Come on rookie, we're gonna try something different...

Kotetsu's words trail off as he opens the door to the classroom and walks down the hall. Heading out the front doors, he takes a few steps down and takes a seat at the bottom of the stairs, waiting for his student.

Tired of waiting, Kotetsu quickly writes down a note and leaves it at the top of the stairs.

Hey, come to the courtyard behind the academy, there is something for you to do here.

With hurried steps, Kotetsu circles around the academy, passing several academy students returning from lunch. He heads into the small courtyard, a small stone fountain was the centerpiece, surrounded on four sides by stone benches. Several tall trees cast a shadow on the courtyard, and Kotetsu was eyeing them up and down...

Kotetsu: (Well if the kid can't use bunshin to distract his enemy, he's gonna need to be quick and agile)

Kotetsu climbs up one of the large trees in the south west corner of the courtyard. He reaches into his vest with his right hand and pulls out a forehead protector. He places the headband close to the end of a long branch stretching out over the fountain.

He leaps down, landing on one knee. Kotetsu reaches back into his vest, taking out a book as he lays down on the stone bench. He opens the book and begins reading while he waits for his student to arrive.

OOC: I know about his gramar bart, but that is something he needs to take an actual class for...

As the shadow tendrils wrap around Kristi's legs, she releases the book. She begins to fall forward, towards Shikamaru.

Kristi: (This is my chance!)

Kristi clutches both of her hands together, as she falls torwards her sensei, she slams her forearms down, towards Shikamaru's head, hopeing he can't react in time to stop her.

Kristi: (Ha! You grabbed my weapon but not my arms? I don't think even you can react to this!)

Shikamaru observed as his shadow tendrils made contact with the student’s legs throwing her center of gravity off balance.

Then suddenly the student does the unthinkable by letting go of the book in her hand and using the momentum as she falls forward to muster another physical strike towards Shikamaru’s head.

Shikamaru: !

Shika tries as best he can to pull the student backwards away from him. But then he realizes that moving a heavy object like a human so fast would be too straining for his tendrils and cost too much chakra.

Shikamaru: (Unless...)

Suddenly Shikamaru’s eyes shift upward above the student as he squints and grits his teeth, bracing himself for impact.

As the students clasped hands ‘free fall’ towards Shikamaru’s forehead they suddenly meet with a familiar object blocking their path – the text book! Kristi’s hands make contact with the text book that’s still attached to the tendril from the ceiling.

As she strikes the text book in front of her it still manages to create enough force to ‘smack’ Shikamaru in the face, making him a bit annoyed.

As the student loses her momentum after the attack Shikamaru uses his remaining tendrils to wrap around her. The tendrils suspend her up side down at a safe distance while he rubs his bruised face.

Shikamaru: (Ouch...I’ve never quite gotten used to this part of Ninja life) ...Alright, Kristi was it? ...You’re quite relentless in battle and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing yet... Now tell me, just why do you wanna be a Shinobi anyway?

OOC: You’re suspended and can’t move. You've already passed one part of the exam, now make conversation. God mod Shika's dialogue (only dialogue) through the conversation if you have to. This is also a test.

Heading for the stairs, he runs down the stairs, then he runs out the academy, he runs around the academy and runs towards the courtyard, after a while he sees his sensei, he stops running and stands infront of his sensei.*

*Yoh approach to his sensei and said.*

-Yoh: I won't let you down sensei I promise!

*Yoh looks up the three and sees the headband hanging on the branch. The wind coming from east to west pushed the headband in the air.*

-Yoh: I must have it even if it will cost me my life!

*And two small butterflies flew in front of him and it’s about to touch his face he felt a tiny breeze comes from the wings of the butterflies he smiled and he took a deep breath.*

Kotetsu: if you pass this test you will become genin, you have to get the head band over there, Yoh there will be three bunshins trying to stop you understod.
Yoh: yes sensei.

Kotetsu: ok let’s begin.
* Kotetsu made three bunshins, all three of the bunshins jumps in the tree, they hide somewhere in it.

*Yoh summons chakra to his feet and jumps on the first branch.*

-Yoh: Where is the first one?

*Yoh sees a showdown, he looks up there was a bunshin, he quickly jumps on the nearest branch, the bunshin lands on the same branch, and he turns around and looks at Yoh, the bunshin jumps at him and throws three shurikens. *Yoh felt someone breathing behind him, he turned his head and saw another bunshin, the bunshin punch him in the face, he fell of the tree.*

-Yoh: Shit!!!

*Yoh summons chakra to his feet once more, he jumps on a tree branch, and because of his leg injury he did not do a perfect land, he almost fell, he grabs his katana and unsheathe it from its scabbard, he hold it tight and gets ready to attack, he looks left, right, and up, he felt some thing behind him, before he can turn his head one of the bunshins grabs his head and smacks it on the tree, he drops the katana it fell on the grass, Yoh glasses broke in two, the bunshin jumps away.*

-Yoh: I can’t see.
(Yoh felt like he was a blind boy)

*Yoh starts walking on the branch, not far away was the edge of the branch, at that time two bunshins saw him, they where standing across each other, they both pull out a kunai, they both jumps down at him going to slice him, because of the cut in his leg he fell and quickly grabs the branch, the bunshins the where flying towards him both cut each other, Yoh pulled him self up, he looks up and sees a blue ribbon, that must be the head band, he summons chakra to his feet and jumps from the branch to the second branch, to the other branch, he keep jumping from branch to the oter, passing the head band (he went higher then the head band) he sees and head band (the headband of the last bunshin) he grabs and starts to pull.*

-Yoh: It’s really tight.
*The bunshins kicked him up, while flying up yoh hits a branch and falls back down, while trying to grab something he grabbed the headband, he hits a branch and slips down and falls on the ground unconscious.*

A snotty sound announced the arrival of a young man behind Kyoshiro, he was an average heighted person in his early twenties with short hair and round glasses, his eyes looked exhausted andhis nose was bright red and dripping mucus.

You’re here because you aspire to join the prestigious ranks of Konoha’s Shinobi.

Q: What’s the most important thing when RP’ing here at SOS?
A: Word Usage – This will make or break your attack or defense.

Yes, here at SOS you will come to find that as shinobi, we may fight with a very colorful arsenal of weapons, but it means completely nothing if the words you use make no sense. You don’t have to be an expert in English by any means, but you must be able to construct sentences and descriptions that make sense to your opponent/reader.

And while we’re on the subject of descriptions, please take a moment to consider that the more description you add to your post, the better you will score when judges are looking at it.

Q: Is there a specific format to RP at SOS?
A: Great question! The answer is yes, and no...

Here is the generic RP style you will find most of the time:

*Katsu locked the door behind him as he walked out of his room and into the hallway of the Konoha inn. He whistled at he casually strolled down the hall towards the stairs. Suddenly there was complete silence. Katsu found himself frozen in his tracks with a troubled look on his face*

What you’ve just read is an ‘action’ sequence. Notice how I placed the action between two asterisks (*). There is one asterisk at the beginning and one at the end. Now lets take a look at some dialogue.

Katsu: Did I....leave the stove on?

Now, suppose I wanted to use my character’s inner monologue instead of having him say his thoughts out loud? Well to do this you could try something like:

Katsu: (Did I....leave the stove on?)

OOC: See how I just put the dialogue in parenthesis to turn them into thoughts instead?

Simple right? Please keep in mind that the examples you’ve just read are not set in stone here at SOS.

Yes, here at SOS you will find a variety of RP’ers from many different backgrounds and schools of RP’ing. What’s most important about your style is that you include the following:

- All writing involving the description of ‘actions’ must be written in the 3rd person.
- Actions must be distinctly differentiated from dialogue. Your opponent or reader should be able to easily tell them apart.
- Always use ‘OOC’ when you want to break character and communicate with your opponent/reader.
- For the sake of being organized, please skip at least one line between Actions, Dialogue, and ‘OOC’ comments.

By now you must have figured out that there are 3 main elements to every post (on average).
Now that you’ve seen all three of these used, did you know that you’ve also seen examples of 3rd person, 2nd person, and 1st person writing formats? Yes it’s true!
