Scribes of Konoha

Who?

People that make the role playing experience here at SOS fun, interesting, and most importantly – easy to understand. They demonstrate a clear understanding of the subject matter they’ve chosen to write about and they also take pride in their work.

What?

Being a Scribe of Konoha means that your writing stands out above the rest. It also identifies you as a person whose work is ‘worth’ taking the time to check out and read. When I see an SOK scroll in the sig of someone’s post then that means I can read it without getting a pain between my eyes. We are not officially part of the SOS per say. We only operate as a fraternity within the SOS... A ‘brotherhood’ if you will.

Why?

Why not? Listen, all men were created equal – that much is true. But that’s not how they’re going to die, is it? The truth of the matter is that there are people in life that are going to jump higher or run faster than you, there’ll be no question about it – they’re just better. And whether it’s by genius, talent, or plain hard work, it will always remain true. The Scribes of Konoha are here to recognize you and the difference you make.

Where?

Huh? Where? What the hell kind of question is that? I should smack you just for even asking that!

When?

Right now!

How?

To join? ...SOK will make no effort to go out and find you. If you wish to be considered for membership then you must willfully apply by submitting a sample(s) of your writing. PM Nick.

The evaluation process may take as much time as needed for a decision to be reached. You may even be asked to submit an ‘original’ piece of writing that has not yet been posted on the boards.

Upon being accepted into SOK you will be assigned a scroll to identify yourself to others. You will be assigned either an ‘Earth’ Scroll or a ‘Heaven’ Scroll to place in your sig.

Just to clarify, being an SOK member means that you’ve already proven your ability to write, but your ability to write is not necessarily the same as your ability to RP. Let’s be honest with one another. Some of you are going to be stronger than the others in different aspects of role playing. It’s true, some of you are going to be Masters at PVP combat while others are going to be Brilliant at Mission/Storyline writing. An even rarer amount of you are going to be well rounded at both.

Heaven Scroll = Stronger in Mission/Storyline writing.

Earth Scroll = Stronger in Player VS Player battles.

Both Scrolls = Role Playing Freak of Nature.

It should be a goal for the rest of us to be like those rarities that can show both scrolls in their sig. And how do we get better? By learning from each other! That’s why it’s important to know who you should learn from. If you’re lacking in the Mission/Story department then you can work with several of your fellow Scribes who show a ‘Heaven’ Scroll in their sig. And Vice versa for those of you like me who need help in PVP.

Finally, respect the SOK and make sure no one abuses it. You’ve all worked hard to get here. And You’ve earned those scrolls in your sig.
