Ok. I'll say it from the very beginning, if you don't want to read this review of the new naruto because of spoilers then don't because I WILL write spoilers in it.


Story:

An ancient demon has been released and will take over the world unless it's sealed. The demon sends out his subordinates to kill the only person in the world who is capable of sealing the demon. But before this happens has got a clue of the demons realease and motive and sent Naruto, Sakura, Rock Lee and Neji to protect to girl Shion so that she can seal the demon. The girl Shion can also see the future death of people around her and when naruto cames to save her from the demons subordinate she sees naruto's death. How will naruto handle the fact that he's going to die?

Neji
Rock lee
Shion (the one who is supossed to seal the demon)


Good points

+ I acctually thought this movie was quite funny
+ I liked some of the fighting scenes which was quite cool IMO
+ Naruto's never give up attitude

Bad points

- I think it was vary badly animated for a movie
- It felt more like a filler episode then a movie
- Naruto died but that changed in a very cheap way IMO
- The stone army got really beaten up by naruto in the end but wasn't harmed abit when gai, kakashi and the other jounins attacked them
- The movie just didn't have the catching feeling that the naruto series have

Thoughts

If you want a laugh or two then the movie is worth seeing but other then that it's really crappy. The best scene in the movie was the very last scene when the character Shion makes a statement that is really funny and Naruto agrees without understanding abit of it. I think that you should skip seeing this movie though. The story wasn't that great and like stated above the animation was really crappy for a animated movie.

Overall 6/10 because of funny jokes every now and then.

Movie 04-- apparently airs in August this year- the 4th. With Neji added as a character this time. i will add more details to this later. This is the 4th Movie in the Naruto Anime Franchise but the first since Shippuuden debuted. So it is both

In my opinion of naruto... the anime series, he ain't dead. I'm 100% sure that after those ominous figures did their purple jutsu or whatever on him his protector was knocked off as you saw, I think that they couldn't find the body so they presumed him dead... otherwise Kakashi would have been there as well and so would Jiraiya in my opinion though.

The anime still has to go through a lot of the manga still, and if this is released in August, from my perspective would mean Kishimoto's was to kill off Naruto and end his "project" this way. But it's early days, and the anime is skating through the manga as mentioned by regina, ~ 2 chapters : episode.

I have looked on google and it says it's either coming out April 21st in japan or August I've looked on a bunch of different websites and those are the dates for it.

Also Naruto prolly won't be dead they just find his headband somewhere and they think he's dead but maybe Akatsuki captures him or somethin. I don't think he will be dead though

Standing around Naruto's grave in that 14 second teaser are
Sakura, Lee, Chouji, Neji, Tsunade, Shizune (could be Hinata) and Shikamaru.

So we can presume they'll all play their parts. Can't wait for this, or rather, I can't wait for the subbed version :P

I tried rewatching the trailer and i cant tell wether is shizune or hinata :confused:

Most likely naruto will end up falling into a underground cave or some sort of dungeon with the dailymotion definition on the trailer you can see what i think is a crack over his forehead protector so he sure did take a good beat :eek:

Also neither Jiraiya or kakashi are at his grave so it makes me wonder. maybe they die on the movie or something damn!!

Actually, this doesn't have to do anything with the spoilers. The Naruto Movie 4 is also called 'Naruto Shippuuden Movie' so it is surely after 2.5 years of naruto training. But all the naruto movies made so far are unrelated to the manga or anime. Check my posts above and follow the link to my thread in other forum and read it.

edit : come to think of it, this might be pretty interesting for the story line, i can see it go like naruto is MIA for too long then they declare him dead. then a time skip but he was who knows where training for a couple of years on silent so akatsuki wouldnt go after him and he makes a hell of a come back stronger and more prepared to fight akatsuki this time.

But he survived yet left remnants of his shinobi gear behind after fighting a strong enemy. Making his nakama presume the worst. Yet he comes back after waking up from being unconscious when they are in need especially when they go on a revenge binge and are about to be slaughtered.

I could totally see a timeskip happening after this movie. Naruto gets lost in the under ground cant find his way out but finds something like ancient techniques that have been forgotten or outlawed. And I guess he would train and train and train after that he would try get out and go through several hard times and such not being able to get out. Being stuck in the dark his sences would be hightened. Now depending if he has kyubbi or not, it looked like akatsuki was in the movie so maybe they took it away, but if they hadnt there all in a bunch cause they think naruto is dead and along with him kyubii so thier leader is basically the weakest of all of em and blah blah blah yeah. I don't know why but i keep wanting to link the time skip with that of Vash's in Trigun. So a konoha team will be on mission, Sakura is in it. They find naruto not old but he hasn't shaved or cut his hair in forever, so hes almost unrecognizable but then something happens and sakura catches a gleam or something and it danws on her... and I just relized this would be an amazing fan fic and that this is all speculation but would be really cool if it happeend yeah... So im not gonna say anymore... ^^

Yes u r right that these people attacking naruto are not akatsuki, in simple terms naruto movies are made unrelated to the manga or the anime. So it would be foolish to say that these people are akatsuki.

And same thing goes for the death of the naruto...there is just no way...

Sadly "Dark" themes don't work well at all in filler. I mean we know HUGE events can't happen such as a main character dying. And even so, things that come from it can't stay. Like if Sakura were to risk her life to save Ino. It couldn't effect their relationship in the story.

I'm not looking forward to this one very much for that reason. Light hearted movies are good when it's filler. But adding a dark plot...? Dark themes are used to force development, which isn't possible with filler content.

Not that the movie itself won't be good. It's not exactly competing with the other Naruto movies thus far.

I watched all Naruto movies in fast forward, and skipped some parts...i find them worst than some fillers... Now this looks like the first serious movie..lets see. How can Naruto die? That's not possible.

By the way a "darker" anime filler movie that i liked was Pokemon first movie Mewtwo vs Mew i think at least its first part. I was younger and stupider then though. Ash (main character) died in that movie too... Of course the tears of Pikachu brought him back to life...

hey, inuyasha movies were pretty "dark" themselves, but Sword of World Conquest was fuckin awasome, not to mention the DBZ movies, so i reject your notion. i'm looking forward to this movie cause IT WILL show some development that actually happened(i hope so anyways) and the movie plot seems pretty damn cool too.

So, whats the difference between filler and canon? he doesn't die, we all know that, hell, if he died right now in next week's ep, we would just patiently wait for him to come back to life somehow.

This movie looks sick... I like the dark figures... and I like the prospect of team Gai accompanying Sakura and co on their vengeful rampage. Or maybe she says something like "hes not dead I know it" and its not a vengeful rampage but a friendly one... either way, Neji is going to kill someone.

From the end titles in episode 24 looks like Naruto will have a new love interest in the movie too, Shion she's a cutie. Hinata unfortunately have just a cameo appearance in the movie...damn you Kishi and producers. I didn't read very bad reviews from the internet. I heard that the action is pretty decent, but i read that animation quality isn't much better than regular episodes, hope they are wrong.

Edit: Oh, i have very good news. Movie starts with Naruto's funeral but Naruto don't die!! Shion and her sexy mom save him...Jeez..that was close...then Naruto with the help of Shion make a super Sharingan and the bad demon goes poof...What a surprise, i thought it was all over for our Kyuubi boy^^ Naruto don't use Kyuubi powers at all...And Naruto and Shion, don't really move their "relationship" to the next level. Actually the movie hasn't been released on the DVD's yet, its only in the cinemas ... so when it will come to the DVD's in like 8 or so months naruto has finally seen his friends or new characters in the anime so it will be nothing surprising in the movie ... Movie makers make movies according to the DVD's release dates and not according to the Theatrical release dates ...

This differs from country to country. In the US the DVD is released together with a movie because the number of movie visitors drops. Last year i waited to see the latest Ghost in the shell movie "Solid State Society", released in June 2006 in Japan and last December i could see the first subbed version. So this was about half a year and i`m hoping that it will be the same with the Sippuuden movie. This means in about 20 more Shippuuden episodes. Hopefully the Sasori fight is over till then...:biggrin1:

Um, the animation was kinda good, but imo the story sucked, and it got all messed up in the end :V

Fight's were good though, but one thing annoyed me throughout the movie, why the hell didn't they draw the stone army guys? The 3D Animation didn't fit in. And yeh, no foxy action :<

Anyways, the movie is kinda nice now that they are doing another filler arc in the anime (which totally sucks btw).

Seriously, after 3 movies you think they'd stop recycling the same thing, or at least not use the same ending every time(Naruto finishing off the "final boss" with some variation of Rasengan).

But still, it easily outdoes the first 3 movies. Lee, Neji and the unbelievably good music saved it. The filler villains using fire-wind combos and such was fucking sweet, I hope they do stuff like that in movie 5.

The movie was okay, defiantly better then the previous ones. But again like all the others, a shitty ending. Fight scenes were short. Animation was okay but using the whole 3d shit was annoying (lazy animators).

Meh. This movie was better than its predecessors, but that is not hard to achieve. For entertainment purposes I guess it was alright. However, I am sick of seeing the same story time and time again. Another thing that is beginning to annoy me is Naruto's static character. He hasn't changed since episode 1...he can just blow things up now. I really hope he starts showing us some true growth. I admit there have been flashes here and there, but enough is enough already...allow Naruto to catch up with the rest of the characters IMO

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, I was kinda expecting to see him get pierced, but after seeing the first 10 minutes, and that it was already shown but only in a vision, I kind of thought that it wasn't going to happen because Naruto is somehow going to surprise us, which he did.

the fights were pretty decent considering when this movie came out, i mean this is like right after he returns back from training with jiraiya. at least they didn't spam the rasengan without him getting a lil fatigued.

i enjoyed the making babies reference at the end lol. it wasn't the best animated movie i've seen but it is the best naruto movie to date.

Overall it was a pretty good movie though it tapered off a little towards the end for me. I enjoyed the Rock Lee fights. (Best time to see him in action nowadays is in the movies it seems.) I was also expecting Naruto to get stabbed in the back, with his kyuubi chakra kicking in afterwards for an uber kyuubi vs. demon fight or somenthing. But whatever. And I could of seen a little more of Neji's ambush towards the end the movie. Not just when they ran out of chakra.

But overall I enjoyed the movie.

It was pretty much the same thing we've seen from the other movies (although arguably a little more interesting). Naruto meets someone around his age who something something rough child hood something something destiny something something change a mind something something do a double rasengan to finish the bad guy.

Neji is one of my favorite characters and his fight against kidamaru (sound 4) remains one of my top 5 fights, anime or manga. I was really hoping they would cash in on how badass he is now, but I feel a little bit ripped off. At least he still has his same personality (remember how he became a quiet pussy in the filler years? Essentially didn't get to do anything-ever).

Sakura was good, she didn't do a whole lot. I was expecting her to have some sort of medical ninjutsu to counter the baddies. It seems like they couldve set the story up so instead of killing the priestess they needed to take her heart or something with med jutsu and sakura couldve played a role in preventing that. Instead, she really just got to punch the ground twice and a chakra-less chick once.

Lee was of course the star of this movie. He provided the best action for the longest period of time. After his fight I was really excited to see how they were going to separate the group and set up fights for Neji and Sakura (and Naruto for a preliminary) but it seems like they just lazed out and didn't go for it. I mean, normally when you show the bad guys taking some wierd snake out of their arms to get pumped up, you let them all do it and make a huge deal out of each fight. That was why the "Chase Sasuke" arc was so badass... we knew that the fight couldn't be over till we saw SC2 from each of them. Although it was cool that Neji out-thought them, we essentially got screwed outof what would've potentially been the most interesting parts of this movie.

I skipped most of her flashbacks. Her personality/history was just too similar to ever other filler character ever introduced. How about creating a movie(or filler) storyline that centers around a different character from the series? Bleach has that new movie that focuses on Hitsugaya. Why not delve into the dark history of Shino's clan and let Naruto come along for the ride. Filler characters with the same personalities as always just don't generate interest.
What happens when Naruto gets together with these people?
"Geez, remember the time you were a prick then I yelled at you a bit and then we changed our destinies by using the Star Chakra? Oh shit! Sorry, you were the fish girl! Sorry, I have a hard time remembering anyone that isn't native to Konoha village. Everyone outside seems to be exactly the same person!"

Naruto's grand plan to stop the rock-army was to use rasengan a bunch then make a ton of clones. Cool.

Anyways, here's what it comes down to.
- We didn't see Oodama rasengan(although I guess this movie might predate that episode) but still, why make a shuppiden movie if you can't even showcase his new abilities.
- Rock Lee got another kickass fight in a movie (thats why I watched the last movie too!)
- Neji is still one of my favorites. I wish the Naruto anime/movie team would give him some decent screenage.
- Sakura was pretty much useless in this movie.
- Naruto didn't do anything new and/or cool.
- We got ripped off: could've had wicked fights with juiced up baddies, instead had a quick 64 strikes, a punch and a kick.
- Movie sits at a 4/10 for me. I was entertained by parts but I was thankful to have my progress bar so I could skip the unoriginal flashbacks.


By the way: Shikamaru and Temari are totally boning. You know they were just off for a walk n' bone in the woods when they saw naruto fighting a bunch of stone guys and were all like "thats 'nuff bone for one day, lets go help the kiddo out"

Anyways this movie was just the same as all the others, even the current anime arc seems to be along the same line.

The only thing I liked about the movie was the end where Naruto is totally oblivious to the sexual advance of the priestess. Heck even Kakashi and Lee noticed it.

Now we must wait a few months for the new movie to come out, and then wait a whole year for it to be translated and then we can start complaining how bad it is.
