One Piece Movies - Are they worth it?

Sorry for asking such a newb looking question, but after watching two of the Naruto movies, I don't want to take any unecessary risk.

I would like to know how many movies are out ( I could read 11 somewhere...that's a lot, can't believe it).

But more importantly, are all the movies fillers? If you know any useful website that gives info on them, I'll be glad to see it.

Anyways-- at the moment there are 8 movies. None of us outside of Japan has watched the 8 th movie. It is a remake- a movie version- of one of the longest arcs in the series the alabaster arc. i am absolutely waiting for it on DVD.

of the previous 7-- i absolutely loved some of them. And some werent that impressive. From memory-- i loved the one involving chopper as a temporary king, movie 2 and movie 7(the animation at least was quite good). i Will have to go home and find the cd's to watch a little of each again to be sure (the numbering may be a little off).

aye, most of the movies were very good :). I liked them all besides the two which were made a little bit strange. They were only made with the computer and the animation looked very weird. I can't remember which of the movies it was :>. But the other movies were excellent ;) and I am very excited about the newest movie :).

Some of the shorts and OVA's are just hilarious and great. And buggy gets to star more than almost any other secondary character.


We should compile a list of download links to all the OP movies. I am going to start a thread for that.

Well, I haven't watched all the ovas, but mostly anything with One Piece is pretty funny. The One piece movies are pretty good too.

6 was OK BUT VERY VERY DIFFERENT. ending sucked, but i enjoyed it.

7 started cool and turned into a disspointment.

5 was too boring and everyone was out of character so i stopped watching it 3/4 of the way through.

My opinions only, the anime beats the movies completely. But some are worth it

I watched the second movie. It wasn't bad but I admit the funny moments make a big difference. The story and credibility of the movie are quite ordinary.

However, I'll never forget how dumb was Luffy when he kept telling the others the Going Merry was cool, then they'd notice it was being stolen and Luffy would finally realize it after everyone...very funny.

yah he did... it was the movie zoro was forced to switched sides for a moment... i think...
