i've made a couple AMVs before (but turned out shitty coz of wimdows movie maker). i started out with a theme like naruto using kyuubi's power...then i got clips of everytime that he did that. they i found a couple of songs that would go along with whats happening in tye clips. after i've decided which song is best, i edited the clips and made it so the lyrics would match the characters lips (but WMM screwed that up). and TADA!! you got yerself a beautiful AMV (unless you used WMM)

umm...well...you could upload it into www.animemusicvideos.org
just sign up, its free, and share it there. but everyone here will have to sign up in order to download it there. or have zafar put it up on this site, but you might want to ask him

I've made a few already...actually, I used WMM because I didn't have Adobe Premiere at the time. Mine tured out fine with WMM, so it's okay to use that. Especially if you're first starting out since it doesn't have as many controls as Premiere does. You can still get good timing and such...just no effects (at least, to my knowledge).

Usually, for AMVs...when I hear a song on the radio or whatever...I get images from a particular anime or two that pop into my mind for that song and that's how I know what to use. The song always comes first for me...the clips just run through my mind.

I can't help much with Premiere since I'm still learning it right now...but there's a trick for the timing that I can help with that probably works with either WMM or Premiere. Listen to the song over and over again. I usually save my list in Winamp, then make a new list and put in the song I'm using, and that song only. Then, play it on loop. Make sure you can see the time as it goes by. If you want to get some good timing, then find the spots of the song that you want to time with the anime clips, and pause winamp when it reaches those spots (I usually go through the entire song and jot down where each new stanza starts that I may want to incorporate with it).
Then, just write down the time that is displayed on the winamp player and maybe a couple words of the lyrics to help you remember what is in that spot.
And when you start the video, always import the music FIRST. That way, when you put the clips in, you can preview it and see if you got the timing right.

That's what I do, at least. Definately use animemusicvideos.org. I have an account there (username is the same as this one). But you also need an ftp client to use that site (I use CuteFTP...you can get that at http://www.download.com).

Hope that helped! ^__^

WMM isn't the most frendly thing to use.

Premiere? My brother had a copy and he let me borrow it to install.
