View Full Version : Did Kakashi surpass his father?

In all honesty.. I don't think Kakashi surpassed his father yet.
Reason being is because his father was called the White Fang of Konoha with as much fear and respect of the Sannin.. Also Chiyo(Sasori's Grandmother) didn't like him for killing her son and when Kakashi was trying to battle the Rock ninja with his father's blade the ninja thought he was the white fang and immediately started shitting his pants.

Hmm...since we have no information on Kakashi's father, we can't properly speculate on that.
All the info I know is that he was called the white fang, not because of his jutsu ability or strength, but because of his speed and tactical ability. I feel Kakashi has probably supassed his father in terms of jutsu ability and knowledge, but he doesn't have the same fame as his father for probable reasons. Kakashi is still one of the strongest within Konoha, but definetly not on all levels.
IMO, Kakashi and his father would be on similar levels in terms of use as a shinobi. So I'm voting neither.

From what I've seen, I agree wtih Flyin, we just haven't seen anything of the White Fang, so we can't say anything about it either way. The Fourth did say that he was respected as much as the Sannin, however.
But if we look at teh whole new generation surpassing prior generations thing, then we would probably have to say that Kakashi has surpassed his dad. Although this might not necessarily be in a 1v1 situation. It is pretty safe to assume that Kakashi knows more techniques, and is more mentally strong, however.
Bottomline, meh. Just like Flyin' said: neither IMO.

I vote neither. not enough info about kakashi's father.
But i think if kakashi hasnt surpassed him atleast they are on par, kakashi is pretty good and a well rounded shinobi . not to mention he got sharingan

Sasuke's father the white fang was respected like the sannin i don't kakashi's has passd his father's lv yet imo he's just a bit nehind him kakashi is a great ninja he's also one of konoha's #1 under the hokage.but imo the white fang might jave been strong enough to fight with tsunade equaly

Too much speculation to give a true account. In terms of fame however, I'd have to say yes, he's on the level of his father. Respect or Skill? Speculation :(

The white fang i guess is pretty much kage material if they compared him to the Sannin, so i dont think kakashi is quite there, its hard to compare...
Kakashi most likely knows more jutsu( copy ninja and all), but his dad was indeed well respected...
I say i dunno...

huh aizen, sasuke's father was just the police commissioner.
its hard to say if kakashi passed his father but i would say no. i would like to see kakashi use his father's sword.

police commissioner??? 4th said he was respected like the sannin, i completely remember that. i thought the uchihas were the police of konoha, and sasuke's dad was chief of police.

maybe i forgot, guess so. but let me get this straight. sasuke's father was respected like a sannin or was that kakashi's father. because i thought it was kakashi's father, the white fang. or maybe its both. i don't remember.
and i meant chief of police, i just used the wrong word.

Nothing about Sasuke's father's reputation has been mentioned, has it?
All i know is that his dad is basically police commisioner...
So i think its White Fang that was respected as an equal to the sannin...

yes Kakashi's father was respected like a sanin the 4th told Obito this.Sauske's father was a police officer.

his dad was supposed to be as powerful of a Sannin. I don't think Kakashi is at that level yet and prolly never will be that level.

but it is stil impossible to know if kakashi has surpassed because we have never seen the white fang in action and i bet if stupid obito didn't die kakashi could be hokage

This doesn't make any damn sense, If Obito didn;t die Kakashi would be HOkage... i think because Obito died that Kakshi was able to get to the level hes at, If Kakashi didn't have sharingan then he would suck.
that's true because then he wouldn't be called the "copy ninja"
without the sharingan kakashi would stink, but since kakashi has it i think he surpassed his father.
just has really shitty stamina.

Thats why i dont think Kakashi can be considered a genius, without the sharingan he is a piece of crap. almost all of his jutsus are copied and he has low stamina. what the hell did he get this genius title.

low jounin, way worst than Gai though.
Ichee
03-11-2007, 03:11 AM
Yeah, that is true.
If Kakashi didn't have sharingan, he'll be along side Iruka, teaching at the academy. Gai would wup his ass horribly without even trying. Kakashi would be a straight loser.

DUH!
Kakashi is a genius, he got sharingan so that has given him some gifts and also limited him in someway...
I doubt his stamina would be as low if it wasnt draining him all the time, yet i doubt he would have so many jutsu if he didnt have it...

yeah but he only uses some jutsus 10-15 at most and that much would he also have without sharingan

Not really, he has the ability to counter a jutsu with the same jutsu when he has sharingan, he may know some 10 or 15 without it, but then again, agaisnt zabuza, kisame, all those elemental dudes, the sharingan makes the fight easier...
Plus chidori would be useless without it O_o

without his sharingan he wouldn't hav all those copied jutsu and wouldnt hav mangekyou. his lightining blade wouldn't be as accurate.
That means he would hav died against deidara, zabuza, nagrae, and basically EVERYONE he fought.

Err, that statement cant be made, if he didnt have sharingan he would have a completely different jutsu array and skill set, so we have no idea how he would have fought said ninja O_o

nagrae....-_-? who the hell is that? and no it does not mean he would die. and it was stupid of him to use chidori on zabuza anyway, zabuza was pinned, just pull out a damn kunai and slice his throat, the guy was only 20 feet away

did you read the manga?
the fourth said chidori is an incomplete jutsu because you cant counter an enemy attack because you need so much speed to use chidori in the first place and it became complete the moment kakashi got sharingan cause now he was able to counter enemy attacks even on such a high speed.
edit: a very good example is the fight gaara vs sasuke when he runs against gaaras ultimate defence he dodged some "sand swords" or how do you call them. without sharingan they would have hit and he would be dead
Hidden Ninja

yes, collateral is right. lee verified it in that fight when he said that he would never charge head on to an enemy because it was suicide and the only reason why sasuke can do it is because of the sharingan.

but the sharingan is only needed then when charging in head on. what abotu sneak attacks etc? if it was the case then every jutsu similar (rasegan) would be useless and never hit. the chidori itself is useful, it was kakashi who decided to run straight into people.
I'm a beliver he'd be a better nin without the sharingan. Simply having the Sharingan changed his whole fighting style.
His father didnt have the sharingan and was compared to a sannin, so who knows how far kakashi could have gone.

you dont need to have it worknig till the moment of impact. note hoe kakshi used it against the 5 heart dude orginally. he jsut appeared behind him and stook his chidori hand straight through his chest.
I say that he has...... he is known as the copy nin for a reason. And his sharingan puts him in a league of his own.... He is feared far and wide and is one of the strongest nin in konoha!

apart from any of the sannins, the 3rd when he was alive, possibly gai as gai is ahead in there little competitions and now naruto as he is level with him.
I also think kakashi can give a sannin a run for there money in a fight, I mean kabuto did, and thier on the same lvl! Especially now since his last resort is mange!

Chidori's power is greatest with the biggest thrust, so running not only closes distance but powers it up so to say. Rasengan is rasengan no matter how you execute it.

thats not entirley true. if u add thrust onto any kind of attack that has a punch connected then it adds energy which adds power. so it would equally work with rasegan.

maybe thats right but rasengan works like a punch and chidori works like a Knife/sword and speed is of more use while swinging a sword than punching

i'd say rasegan works line a chainsaw and chidori works like a blade. with thrust the blade works better but so does the chainsaw but only a less impact scale.
neway back on topic theres no way we can tell how good kakashi's dad was so we can only conmpare kakashi to the sannins we have now. so does anyone think kakshi surpassed any of the current sannins?
